Thanks for the new blog and the videos. These are superb.

With all the talk of "trolls" last night it may be worth re setting your password if you have exchanged email adresses with people you don't know and have a password that is easy to guess.

What a treat to see Susan singing upclose .I really enjoyed these performances ,especially the Memory one ,the way she sang it and also the way she was so responsive to the audience .This is up close and personal. Very touching. From the way she responds to the audience and is so generous in her acknowledgement of their cheers we can see what a loving person Susan is,a dear heart.

Glad to see a new video of Susan up close. It has been awhile since we have been there as most videos have been at a distance. Kudos to Susan !! :)

Could someone tell me how to access a video where the screen remains black and the white circle continues to turn and nothing comes up. Thank you.

Teesiel-My turn to thank you for all your contributions. You lucky duck-actually being that close to our girl! Thanks again.

@patriciasart - I'm on that page and I see 3 videos, the 2 performaces and the airport :-)

@DANNYG. - Paul is aware of the situation and I'm sure he will pass the vacum cleaner asap and leave it all tidy.

ONE OF MY FAVOURITE VIDEOS!!! How Susan interacts with the crowd is just wonderful. Her arm gestures and kisses, Susan's way of acknowledging and thanking "HER" people. She knows they love her.

And on another note, have you noticed how there is nothing written in the press about her? The media have nothing to say anymore, they've given up!! They can't stand the flak they have been receiving lately from her fans. Our emails seems to have worked. SUSAN HAS MADE IT.... and the tabloids know she has. Even people who once were not that keen, having heard her sing in public are now bowled over by her. There will NEVER BE another Susan. I love her to bits.

These are fantastic video's. I think Memory is the best yet. Love the crowds reaction. Susan, you get better and better and I don't even know how that's possible but you do. Love you!
Posted by Patricia's Art on June 24, 2009
@Kalua. Oh ,okay,I misunderstood your wording. I thought you meant there were 2 airport videos, but now I see you meant the first video on the page. But what point does it prove?
Posted by Patricia's Art on June 24, 2009
I still don't think thats Susan. Maybe they want us to believe its Susan. But Susan doesn't have a thick head of hair, that straight and that dark. Also the way she walked and her whole body language is different.BGT seems to want to hide Susan away from her fans. Maybe they want to build anticipation ( remember that song) .
Posted by Cee on June 24, 2009
Also- is the picture on the videos appearing"jerky" to anyone else? The audio is perfect.

On which video is Susan blowing kisses to someone on her right? I forget.

Someone please help me with the aforementoned video problem.

What does "imbed this video" mean?

Trying to get all my questions in at the same time.

Thanks,my dear sweet friends.
Posted by Kalua on June 24, 2009
@patriciasart - It was meant as a joke, as the video is stopped at that point I supposed the jurnalist was confirming that the lady in whithe was Susan. However I repeat it was meant as a joke after yesterday's afternoon chat we had about it. :-)

P.S. Sorry about my bad english, it's only my third language and sometimes I don't express myself clearly.

I have to say something about Susan. Last night my son, DIL, and two of my grand children (age 19 and age 11) and myself, sat and talked about Susan for probably at least 30 minutes. It was the first time in our whole lives that all of us agree on a singer. We ALL love her and think she is the best. It takes some pretty amazing talent to grab people across 3 generations and capture them. No other artist could ever do such a thing.
Posted by Meggsy on June 24, 2009
@CEE: I think the video you are talking about where Susan is blowing kisses to someone on her right is from Wembley.... but I cannot remember for sure if it was the matinee performance or the evening.
Posted by Patricia's Art on June 24, 2009
@Kalua .Oh I thought you had some inside information on it,LOL! Maybe more video . I'm always looking for new tibits of information about Susan these days. It seems BGT has her under house arrest. There seems to be a blackout when it comes to info about Susan except for tabloid lies. What a crazy M.O. BGT has. I guess it serves their agenda.
Posted by Cee on June 24, 2009
OK-another question re videos. Is it to be expected that the audio part finishes before the video? I'm saying-the words don't match the actions, It's not in sync.

OK-I'm done. I guess.

Want to thank Teesiel for the wonderful videos!! Question for DJG-Scotland: Help! I have a MAC and downloaded the 81Mb video from the site you included, and it is called BOYLE9 on my computer. What do I do next to turn it in to a video so I can save it to a DVD? Many thanks for any help!
Posted by Kalua on June 24, 2009
@patriciasart - A few more days to go and then our dear Susan will do as she pleases.
Posted by stevieboy49 on June 24, 2009
Once again, grateful thanks to Paul, and to Teesiel for the fabulous video. Having viewed both renditions again, I humbly revise my earlier assessment of Susan's singing of IDAD. It was truly brilliant and so was "Memory". Talking of memory, I think that I must be losing mine - I plumb forgot that there is a Cathoilc Secondary school right in the heart of Blackburn - St. Kentigern's - and that must have been the school that Susan attended. I do so hate mysteries, don't you? Btw, has anyone found out the identity of who Susan was blowing kisses to the other night? Just asking, don't groan! I don't want to start another lot of speculation. It's just that with all these posts, I might have missed something. Cheerio for now.

Call me "Fed-up-with-Piers", here is url for his article and my reply. http://www.unrealitytv.co.uk/britains-got-talent/piers-morgan-says-that-americans-want-to-beat-susan-boyle/comment-page-1/#comment-292913

Piers, speak for yourself please. Americans feel that Susan Boyle is a rare bird. And when we are looking for our own successes, it is not to equal or replace someone else, especially not someone who is irreplaceable. I just don’t think you get either point. You are trading on her popularity, and in a tone that is essentially derogatory. BGT and now AGT are out to further your shows by trying to trade on this rare event whilst denying that she what is truly rare. Susan has proved everything she needs to prove. If you put her up in competition again, you are going to incur some great displeasure multiplied by probably millions of times. It is time for you to accept what all of us have, that Ms. Boyle is no longer someone to beat, she has won for life. Now it is time for her to shake this dust off her feet and go on with what her natural talent calls for. I want to see her with the likes of Andrea Bocelli, and perhaps with a t.v. special of her own. I’d like to see her do a concert with sax Julian, too. Americans will win without having to beat out someone. Get used to it.

On another note, maybe Susan was flown on a private jet or a different flight, or maybe she stayed on board until the cameras were off. Re these videos, she is blowing at least 3 kisses in Aberdeen, isn't she, besides the acknowledgements and smiles? There must a been a bunch of family and friends in the front rows. She looks so happy. Isn't it sweet to have these close-ups? The crowd sounded ecstatic. That would have been a choice concert to attend.

@VickyOregon - the filename of the ISO file is SUSANDVD9.ISO, but the DVD label is indeed BOYLE9 (that's more of an internal technical name for the disc itself). I don't have a Mac, because I have a proper computer rather than a toy (!!!), so I don't know what DVD burning software is available for it. You need something that can take an ISO file (disc image) and create a DVD from it. On the PC (a proper computer!), there are loads of options including some free software.

@Joly .Thanx for telling me about the article. I posted a reply too:

Good grief why didn't you do this to Paul Potts? You just let him go his merry way. But poor Susan continues to get trashed in the news because of BGT. The only way she will get positive press is to get out on her own. Just because Susan is so popular your going to keep trying to use her for competition which means she'll still be canon fodder for the tabloids. Set Susan free. You've ridden on her back long enough. Its time for Susan to move on .Susan is a superstar now. She has a worldwide fan base. BGT,AGT and the X-Factor are small potatoes now. I hope Susan breaks free from the parasite circus called BGT .

Great performance last night!

There were a couple of videos on site last night that were being pecked to death by a troll - I note that this morning, the videos are gone. Seems to me it's the troll that should be gone, not the videos (maybe he's gone too - ) Not sure were should allow ourselves to be bullied by trolls. Just sayin' . . . .

I ask for angelic protection and help. Please give her wisdom and discernment and favour even from those who seek to use her for their own gain. And may every difficulty, every bad press release, every opportunistic attachment by any leech, please turn all of these around for her good and Your glory. For in You, nothing Lord is impossible for those who believe!! Somebody in this site, PLS. post today's sked so I can pray more specifically today. Thanks!

Thank you very much for the close up videos. To me these were beautifully understated performances. I still think its disrespectful to yell at someone while they are in the midst of giving this type of performance. I also still hate the name SuBo. Susan handled it wonderfully though. I hope she enjoyed herself.
Posted by DJG-Scotland on June 24, 2009
I noticed on the close up video (which I'm currently converting into the DVD!), that she didn't seem to mind being called 'SuBo'. She seemed to think it was quite funny, and responded to it!
Posted by DANNYG. on June 24, 2009
patriciasart, amen and amen. Sometimes you get tempted to go over and break Susan out of Sing Sin, don't you. I know I wish I could.

Susan has now sung three times since her break. The stop today is in Birmingham where she has already performed on this tour. Seems a perfect time for another break.

I can't even think of Piers without gagging.

Teesiel..thanks so much for the wonderful close-up video. How did you do that?? You weren't there were you, or did I miss something? I was thinking yesterday, before the videos were posted, that the amazing fan response at these performances must be so "uplifting" (for lack of a better word) for Susan. I believe she is finally realizing how much she is loved. I feel I'm seeing more and more of the "old Susan"..her almost playful interaction with the audience, more relaxed presence, etc. Way to go Susan!

I am just a little confused re the two Aberdeen close-up videos that are posted on the website today -- the ones just before this blog starts. It says it is uploaded by Tessiel, but I thought Tessiel went to the earlier concerts? Was she also at the Aberdeen concert last night? Maybe Tessiel (or someonecan clear this up for me? Thanks so much!
Posted by donnola petrilli on June 24, 2009
@Patriciasart: Ditto! Typical Piers - that "Americans want to beat the Brits" mentality is his alone. I agree -he will continue to hype Susan every chance he gets simply to up the viewership and ratings of AGT. In the end, I believe he's going to be none too happy with the figures.
Posted by DJG-Scotland on June 24, 2009
There's no suggestion that Teesiel recorded the videos in Aberdeen last night! Uploading a video clip isn't the same as actually recording it! The two clips are hosted on YouTube and just embedded onto here.

To DJG-Scotland. Cheeky- your comments about Macs! I have been a Mac fan all my computer-adult life and they are so much more user-friendly than PC's and an awful lot safer, too. However, each to their own. No hard feelings. As far as DVD burning software is concerned, I always use Handbrake - you can pick it up from the net - just Google "Handbrake", Vicky, and follow the instructions. I have copied a number of videos onto my two Ipods using that software and it works a treat. PS Personally, I hate people referring to Susan as SuBo - it is one of these nicknames, coined by the media, that, to me, smacks of being insulting and demeaning and must remind her of the days when she was cat-called and bullied in her home town. Of course, she will respond graciously - I don't think that Susan is capable of responding in any other manner, despite press reports to the contrary. Don't like it, though, and I wish people would refrain from using it! Just my opinion.

Well !!! I heard it, I heard it !!!! there were some french-speaking fans in Aberdeen...you hear them scream "C'est Beau ! ", "C'est beau Susan! " "T'es belle Susan ! ", "T'es belle !" "Bravo Susan!" ( meaning you'are really beautiful !!!)... way to go fans...no less for our Susan !!!!!!

These are both absolutely gorgeous! Susan appears to get just a bit tickled during Memory--it's a wonder she can keep a straight face or go on singing, what with all the 'Sus-ans!' and 'you go Su-Bos!' being thrown at her. One hopes that eventually people WILL learn to behave themselves while she is singing, at least!

I am overcome with these Aberdeen videos. Teeisel, we are in your debt. Seeing her acknowledging the crowd's adulation just fills my heart. She can never doubt how much she is loved and admired and that is what I have wanted for her above all else. She said she wanted to sing and make people happy, and she can see that she is doing that and it is wonderful to see her basking in it.

The Evening express has a nice article about Susan and several pictures of Susan andthe other acts as well.
Thank you Paul for a new post - and another chance for me et.al. to make sure proper measures are taken to "minimize disruptions."

As I'd mentioned in the last blog post ALL of us should word search each blog we've left posts on and read contents to be sure they indeed are ours as well as match handles to Avatars. Those not having Avatars (those pictures in squares next to posts) should put one up and periodically change them as an extra security measure.

We'll never be able to completely eradicate Trolls but we can control their presence. Also, be reminded that instant Susan comes out with a new song release and/or CD Trolling will kick up dramatically so lets keep vigilant!

As I drag myself out of bed to aother blistering day in Illinois I stagger over to the computer and WOW...everything is wonderful. The Susaeffect...beats caffeine by a long shot. Memory was just a joy to watch as she thoroughly enjoyed and rewarded her audience. Her dramatic handling of IDAD was amazing, although I can hardly wait for her to do happier songs...lots of them! Need the twinkle that is purely Susan.
Posted by LucyB on June 24, 2009
Just watched both of the Aberdeen videos, first in the smaller screen and then I hit the little red button at the bottom of the scree and I get it in the FULL SCREEN version with Susan filling my whole computer screen. Susan is beyond SPECTACULAR, in her singing, her appearance, her stage presence, her everything. She is the ultimate PROFESSIONAL. She has come an incredibly LONG WAY since April 11. Where is Andrew Lloyd Webber, surely he must be busy composing just the "Song for Susan". If I didn't know better, I would have thought that was a performance in one of the finest theaters in London's West End rather than the very finest segment from a British amateur talent show.

And then I am totally amazed by the number of folks involved in allowing all us fans to enjoy this phenomenon known as Susan Boyle, on our computers, sitting in the comfort of our own homes all over the world.....the lucky ducky who is live in the audience with hand held recording device, who goes home after the performance and uploads to UTube, all the electronic wizards who are also Susa-fans who eagerly await the Utube clip to appear, and then they "catch-it" (whatever that means), and submit it to this fine fan site, and then Paul, our over-worked and excellent administrator who then puts the videos up on this site for as all to enjoy. A huge and sincere THANK-YOU seems a bit meager for all the pleasure their efforts provide for sooooo many folks, but that's all I can offer. AGAIN, THANK-YOU FOR ALL YOUR EFFORTS!!!!!
@CEE; If you're on a "shaky" dial-up Internet connection like me open up just the page with the video you want to see on your web browser, wait for it to completely download; don't have any other pages open, give the connection signal the "cleanest pipe" possible.

The video of Susan "blowing kisses" is her Wembley "Memory" performance i.e. the last blog post.

"Imbed video" is option for you to imbed HTML code on whatever web page you have of your own creation, if you're not writing any then ignore this.

Hope this helps :>)

Wanna hear my own 'rant' regarding that Piers Morgan article? I don't do a lot of this any more but this time, I couldn't resist. Here's that URL to the thing again:

http://www.unrealitytv.co.uk/britains-got-talent/piers-morgan-says-that-americans-want-to-beat-susan-boyle/comment-page-1/#comment-292913

"Please–-let America’s Got Talent be its own (little) show, with its own talent, and have nothing whatsoever to do with Susan Boyle. She is no one needing to be ‘beaten’ by anybody here in the US anyhow. You do an injustice to this lovely, talented, one-of-a-kind woman by suggesting any other country should ‘find its own Susan Boyle’ or ‘beat Susan Boyle’ when you jolly well know each and every human being becoming a part of any of these talent shows is an individual and deserves to be treated as such, not compared with truly exceptional contestants from earlier such shows. The media rhetoric surrounding Susan is nothing short of ridiculous; I also find it ludicrous that folks from Britain’s Got Talent actually expect Susan to ‘appear’ on AGT or on the X Factor! Cripes, hasn’t the woman done enough for you yet to ‘earn her stripes’? Once the BGT tour is over with, can’t that be ‘it’? What will it take for Susan Boyle to finally be set free to pursue her real career? We here in the US hate to see her continue to be ‘used and abused’ in any way whatsoever. If you cannot stop the tabloid nonsense against her, perhaps you can at least refrain from any suggestion that ‘Americans want to beat Susan Boyle’. As an American, I find even that relatively simple phrase to be entirely offensive."

Talent show stars wow Granite City audience west lothian singer susan boyle has 4,000-plus fans on their feet, cheering wildly

Published: 24/06/2009

HIGH-FLYING: Britain’s Got Talent winners Diversity perform at the AECC Press and Journal arena in Aberdeen. Colin Rennie More Pictures

THE stars of the Britain’s Got Talent show delighted a capacity audience at the Aberdeen Exhibition and Conference Centre last night on the latest stage of their nationwide live tour.

Series winners Diversity were among the first acts to take to the stage at the venue’s Press and Journal arena, but the biggest cheers were reserved for runner-up Susan Boyle.

The Scottish singing sensation, who became an international star after appearing on the ITV talent contest, has missed a number of dates on the tour and there were fears she might not take part in last night’s sold-out concert.

Most of the performers arrived by bus and were chatting to a group of about 20 fans at the side entrance when Miss Boyle arrived in a silver Mercedes around 6pm. She gave a quick wave to the autograph-hunters before being taken inside.

There was rapturous applause when she took to the stage at around 9pm, and her performances of Memories and I Dreamed A Dream had the 4,000-plus fans on their feet and cheering wildly.

The West Lothian singer went from living alone with her cat to being feted by the likes of Gordon Brown and Demi Moore after she first appeared on the talent show.

Her performances attracted millions of hits on video-sharing websites and led to an appearance on the Oprah Winfrey show.

Following her surprise defeat by dance troupe Diversity she was taken to the Priory clinic in London, suffering from exhaustion.

It's clear now that this BGT tour should be renamed 'The Susan Boyle Show, featuring some other people you'll have forgotton by the end of the year'.

@DannyG, I think a bit of housecleaning must have occurred on yesterdays' blog page and perhaps some trolls uncovered and eliminated. I went back to read your post regarding Tommy and didn't see it. I am heartbroken to lose Tommy and have appealed to him both on the blog and on e-mail to please reconsider and not let a troll keep him from celebrating our beloved Susan with us. I don't understand the motives of such people unless it is to destroy the camaraderie we have.

@Allikat: Totally agree with you. Wish Susan could break free of BGT and AGT especially after seeing AGT last night - there was little talent and certainly no one I would want to see or hear again. Glad Susan has another manager besides Simon and hope he gets her max bucks if she does do AGT and X Factor. Also hope Simon puts Susan's CD as number 1 priority above promoting all his shows.

PLEASE NOTE----from the above article

Most of the performers arrived by bus and were chatting to a group of about 20 fans at the side entrance when Miss Boyle arrived in a silver Mercedes around 6pm

Sooooo---the "most of the performers arrived by bus"---those that we all watched get off that stupid airplane all afternoon----and then "Boyle arrived in a silver Mercedes around 6pm". Is this not evidence enough, that Susan Boyle was NOT on the airplane!!!! And all those that did recognize her must have had Susan Boyle so burned in their retinas that they could look at most any of those women and see Susan instead!!! Oh, how she has infected our brains!!!!!

MMmmmmmm...... and you all still insist that was her getting off the plane yesterday?! I think not!

I agree with Allikat on America's Got Talent. There is only one Susan Boyle, and she should not appear on this show. Would be very nice for her to be left to record her album's and do a guest appearance on shows of her choice in the future.

Susan could have gotten off the plane and gotten into a car while the others got onto a bus.

The kids yelling out do call out 'Susan - we love you" as the mystery lady steps out past the nose of the plane......at least that's what I think they said.

@DR - if you look at the video of them in Birmingham the other day, you'll see that they were ALL loaded onto a coach and taken to the venue, incluing Susan. If they had all arrived together, they'd have all travelled together on the coach to the venue. If susan arrived by car, then she clearly arrived from elsewhere, maybe via Edinburgh airport.

ponylady, I'm with you about dragging myself to the computer on a blistering day in order to see the latest Susan videos...blistering, sweltering here in Gulf Coast Texas (yesterday set a record 101 degrees with humidity that makes it feel like a sauna!!)

It is so wonderful to see Susan smile as she did in this performance because, as others said, she realizes how much she is loved. This obviously allows her to relax and deliver the fantastic renditions she does.

Well, I'm off to play with the grandbabies one last time before the oldest one must return to her home 200 miles away...

I've got an avatar now - at least I think that's what I've done. I thought it was safer to stay a gray head, but seems I was wrong. Took me a while to figure out how to replace that head, but there were some pretty good instructions posted. Thank you.

Sorry I never had something to represent me before. It explains a lot. Guess everybody thought I was one of those under-the bridge-creatures.

Actually, I've been here from the beginning, so I know all of you, you just didn't know me. I finally decided to register just a few weeks ago. Mostly I wanted to join so I could tell Tommy how beautiful his videos are. And everyone here seemed so nice. Pity - what has happened. I do hope things settle down while we wait for Paul's new site. I'd hate for others to leave as well.

@Teesiel, thank you so much for the closeups of Susan's performances. It is so good to see her facial expressions while hearing that golden voice. She was magnificent, as always, and the crowd loved her as expected.

Someone asked which of the Wimbley performances it was where Susan was throwing kisses to some unknown person or persons - it was the matinee performance.

Has anyone heard if Susan is performing today?

@DJG-Scotland **the filename of the ISO file is SUSANDVD9.ISO**

I can't seem to find the link for this file...maybe I just scrolled through too fast but I have looked a couple of times to no avail. If it's not too much trouble could you post it again.

DVD of the ABERDEEN performance now available:

As promised, I have created an ISO (disc image) file of a DVD of Susan's Aberdeen performance. This ISO file is hosted on a file hosting site. You may need to download an ISO to DVD 'image burner', but I have included details of that too. The ISO image will create an NTSC (US compatible) DVD that you can then take away and play like any other DVD on your TV. I have had to do a lot of compressing to get an ISO file that is easily downloadable, but the overall quality is still very good. Here's what you need to do to create your DVD:

1. Go get the ISO file from: Here - click to download (choose the 'free download' option - don't use 'premium' because it will cost. There is a 30 second delay before the download link will show for adverts to display). BEWARE: this file is 156Mb!

2. Save it somewhere on your machine, and then unZIP the file (XP/Vista: right-click on the .zip file, then select 'Extract All'), which will create SUSANDVD10.ISO

3. If you have your own ISO to DVD burner software (most versions of Nero, Roxio, Cyberlink should have this feature, or use ImgBurn again if you downloaded it before) then you can now use that to create your DVD from the ISO file

4. If you need an ISO to DVD burner (for free) then I would recommend ImgBurn: Click here to download (Just click the blue 'Download' button, then save the .exe file, then run it to install)

5. To create your DVD with ImgBurn: Insert a blank DVD (and it must be a DVD and NOT a CD!), run ImgBurn, Select 'Write Image File to Disc' option, click the folder image next to where it says 'Please select a file...' then browse to the SUSANDVD10.ISO file, then click the image at the bottom of the screen (with the green triangle in the middle of 2 pictures of a disc) to start creating the DVD. Let it do its stuff - it will tell you when it's done. (You may want to untick the 'Verify' tick box if you want your disc to be ready quickly).

6. Eject the disc, take it to your home DVD player and play it!

This should all work as I've described. If it doesn't, check you've followed the instructions properly.

DJG - yes, that is the most likely scenario unless they wanted the ones coming off the bus to be a diversion while they got Susan inside. What time did the plane land? Might tell us if they went straight to the theatre or to their hotel first.

And those yelling kids were a good way off and could have possibly mistaken the mystery lady for Susan the same as we have. But, when I freeze the video at 0.56 it looks like Susan to me...but then I need glasses :-)

Susan DVDs to download.

Just incase you've missed it, I have been creating DVDs of Susan's live concert performances for those who are technically unable to do so for themselves. These DVDs have been turned into ISO files, that you can easily download yourself. Using some simple (and free) software, you can turn those ISO files straight into a DVD (NOTE: you must use a blank DVD, a CD will NOT work!) that you can then take away and play on your home DVD player/TV just like any other. All the DVDs are in NTSC format for use in the US (they should also work anywhere else). There are currently 10 DVDs available. The procedure for creating them is the same for each DVD:

1. Go get the ISO file for the DVD you require - see the list below for the links to each DVD download (choose the 'free download' option - don't use 'premium' because it will cost. There is a 30 second delay before the download link will show for adverts to display).

2. Save it somewhere on your machine, and then unZIP (DVD 2 isn't ZIPped) the file (XP/Vista: right-click on the .zip file, then select 'Extract All'), which will create SUSANDVDx.ISO (where 'x' is the number of the DVD you've downloaded)

5. To create your DVD with ImgBurn: Insert a blank DVD, run ImgBurn, Select 'Write Image File to Disc' option, click the folder image next to where it says 'Please select a file...' then browse to the SUSANDVDx.ISO file (where 'x' is the number of the DVD you've downloaded), then click the image at the bottom of the screen (with the green triangle in the middle of 2 pictures of a disc) to start creating the DVD. Let it do its stuff - it will tell you when it's done. (You may want to untick the 'Verify' tick box if you want your disc to be ready quickly).

6. Eject the disc, take it to your home DVD player and play it!

List of DVDs available with links (and file sizes):

DVD 1 - Birmingham: Click here to download (151Mb)
DVD 2 - Sheffield: Click here to download (this file isn't Zipped) (143Mb)
DVD 3 - Early Performances (Barrymore, Wedding, 2 in the Pub 1984): Click here to download (260Mb)

Re Tommy: yesterday a 'tribute to Tommy' video was uploaded - not by Tommy, but by another member here, expressing gratitude for all his wonderful contribuations to this site. Unfortunately the comments section was spoiled by a troll. I hope Tommy knows that one troll does not represent any on us or diminish our great affection for him. (The video and comments have been removed.)
Posted by Lonnirose on June 24, 2009
@PWattis, a troll(s) accused Tommy of being a "crook" on the comments section of one of the tribute videos - and get this, it wasn't even his video. This is the thanks he gets for all the work he has done on this site. I have begged and begged him to reconsider, as he is the touchstone of this site, but so far to no avail. Perhaps Paul can help persuade him.

Opened my new HELLO magazine and on page63 there is a picture of our wonderful SUSAN! with the words: "A polished Susan Boyle sings at the debut of the BGT Live Tour in Birmingham, U.K. June 12. She skipped day three of the tour but is slated to perform with the other top acts through July." They used that nice side view picture at the top of our fan site banner. Very nice - positive. I may clip this pic and put on my dresser so when I'm puttin on the slap in the morning for work that I remember to 'say a little prayer for you'. The up close video of Memory (love how she says mam-ory). What an ease she has on stage - born to be a star!! She's smiling and interacting and just being cute!
@DR; Welcome aboard! I'd been following posts on Susan-Boyle.com since about U.S. Tax Day April 15th but didn't join until May 26th as member 18,760 or something.

I'd wanted to join Susan-Boyle.com when membership hit 1,500 but held off because I didn't want to "jump" in with blogging without knowing the kind of folks I'd be chatting with, but after Susan's 2nd BGT final I was rapturously overwhelmed and signed up to "rub shoulders" with fellow Susananians whom I consider to be a VERY decent group of folks ;>)

Time to get on with morning watering of my folk's property here in Cameron Park, California; gotta clean underneath eaves today, spray for spiders all while suffering from nasty case of eczema, gonna be one uncomfortable day! Chao for now.

Thanks, Lonnirose. Yes, I watched the video and commented on it. I thought it was great. I didn't see the troll's comment, however. I will send him an e-mail as well, but don't know how much effect it will have. Do you think we've gone too far with our teasing of Tommy about his regard for Susan?
Posted by ponylady on June 24, 2009
Dear TommyUSA - Can only imagine the sadness at being unjustly accused (or more likely just foolishly attacked by someone who needs attention.) We have to let our God give that person a turn-around in life, but I know you will be here to see what we are doing even if you choose to use a new name. Don't ever stop using your incredible talents to serve God by bringing attention to the beauty He has provided us. "All things work together for good..."

Love Susan's accent - actually I think everyone in the UK sounds great when they speak.

@Songbird, the trolls aren't always easy to spot, as we discovered last evening. They infiltrate and pretend to be one us for a while, then come in under another name and attack. Sad situation and we have to be on guard.
Posted by Anja edens on June 24, 2009
@ DR, oke thanks for explaining it to me now I understand it beter, I really thought it was something new, even joined and wrote her a letter, stupid old me lol.
Posted by Lonnirose on June 24, 2009
@PWattis, no. Our teasing of Tommy about Susan had nothing to do with it - I think he enjoyed that. He has never denied his love for her. The comment may have been removed by whoever does that, but it was made in the comments section of the video of "Susan and the Stars", which wasn't even one of Tommy's. Definitely troll. Then another one, or could have been the same one with a different name, criticized Tommy's new website.
Posted by DR on June 24, 2009
I know there are some talented singers amongst us, so I'm hoping someone can answer my dumb question here. I've seen something in these 2 videos that I've never seen before - maybe because they're close up. Her expression. It appears her lips stay curled back even when she's not singing. She never smiles until the songs are all over, as if she has been in a trance. But, she couldn't have been in a trance because I don't think I've ever seen her so relaxed on stage as in these videos. She interacts with the audience showing she hears them and sees them. Her face is totally relaxed and her eyes are twinkling so she can't be angry or sad. So I guess my question is - is this a singing technique she has recently learned or have I just missed it before?

I also noticed she has gone from interpreting the songs her way in the audition, to the very exaggerated renditions at the beginning of the tour, to a very very polished and natural performance. She looks completely relaxed and at home on the stage.

This woman is fantastic!....and getting better and better all the time.
Posted by greygrannie on June 24, 2009
The new videos are great! So nice to see Susan's expressions when she sings. And her voice!! Silvery, strong, and beautiful. Thank you for providing these videos for us. Regarding Tommy, it was not just one attack. When I looked at the troll's member listing, which is now gone, on the left where comments the member has posted are listed, there were several, all video reviews, all similar in tone, attacking Tommy's integrity and the quality of his work. Apparently, since these were not on blogs but in the video reviews, somehow, they weren't noticed until I stumbled on that one accidently yesterday and posted on the blog about it. Tommy may feel we had seen them and just were not bothering to defend him. I do hope not.

Anyway, I want trolls to be deal with, especially that one, but I wish it could have been done without wiping out so many postings, and I do feel the members needed to know what had happened and what was going on which many obviously do not.

Danny
Posted by PWattis on June 24, 2009
@DR, are you talking about when she steps back from the mike during the interlude of Memories? If so, I don't think its a singing technique. To be honest her facial expression during that part has always bothered me a little. I wish for a more natural expression on her face. If you notice toward the end as she steps back to the mike she waves and her smile suddenly becomes very natural. This is just my opinion.
Posted by Lonnirose on June 24, 2009
@DR, I believe what Susan is doing is feeling her songs. Notice she always delivers them with such feeling and depth that she conveys that feeling to us every time. It's a magical thing for a singer to be able to do, and I've rarely seen anyone else do that.

Seeing the initial comment by DannyG regarding TommyUSA, I tried to go to yesterday's blog, saw nothing, so went to Tommy's profile and saw his post saying he is quitting this site. I sent him a message, and want to add my voice here to those who are encouraging him to come back to this community.

Trolls are not unique to this site. They infect the entire web. They sit in Mommy's basement and eat junk food, and their only fun, and only human interaction, is finding communities on the web and acting out like the little children they are. They are cyber-bullies. Just like the 4-year-old throwing a temper tantrum, they thrive on attention -- so it is always best to ignore them. If they can't create drama, they move on to a new community.

Susan Boyle was bullied in her hometown. She didn't let it defeat her. If she had responded to the bullying as the bullies wanted, she would never have kept on singing, she would never have had the guts to go for the BGT audition, and we wouldn't be here now because we never would have heard of her. To all the active members of this community, and to TommyUSA (one of our anchors here), I say, don't let these sniveling, punk mama's boys interfere with our delight in each other and in Susan Boyle. They have the attention span of a gnat, and if you ignore them for a day or two, they will move on to the next community and try their juvenile antics there.

We all have been appalled at the treatment Susan has received from the trashoids. Most of us don't even go to read their garbage anymore. Treat the trolls the same way. This site is evolving (as is Susan's performance), and someday we will be able to hit "report abuse" buttons, or hide comments by people we don't like, but for now, we just gotta pull together and ignore the little bully boys.

TommyUSA, come back.

Lonnirose - thank you for the explanation. It's reassuring to know it's part of the performance. That may explain why this performance is the absolute best she's ever done. So natural and genuine.

But they gotta do something about her dress. It's gonna fall off of her pretty soon. She is becoming very trim. More and more she is beginning to look that girl of 25 again.

Spot on charlieangle. A couple weeks ago I sincerely tried to help a fan on here and got a nasty email back. It unsettled me for the day and I know I should know better than to let it get to me but when they get you at a vulnerable moment it will affect the psyche. The person is not a troll, just someone who is obsessed and tired and misconstrues posts. This is the first comment since then that I've dared to post. By the way, I've been following this site since April and cancelled my membership about 3 times, here's to 4th time lucky.

"If you notice toward the end as she steps back to the mike she waves and her smile suddenly becomes very natural. "

I took this to mean that she is stepping out of the role and back into herself. She sings very theatrically, which is appropriate for these songs. Maybe she is trying to show Andrew Lloyd Webber that she is up to the job, should he put her in one of his productions.

I guess I'll just watch these videos every day until then, only prob. is I can't take these with me. I love you Susan.

I have never been on a fansite until Susan came along. I have been a lurker here for several weeks now, in fact I had no idea what a Blog was, I reviewed the videos and pictures but never did find this Blog until a few days ago. Now I am totally addicted. I read some posts, go away for an hour and there are so many posts to catch up. I sure wish they were numbered so I could easily go back to where I left off. I am absolutely obsessed with Susan, just like you all are. I cannot get enough of her and play the videos over and over again. I am not computer savvy, but maybe someday I'll be able to figure some things out, like how to donwload and make the DVD's. I loved Tommy's tributes. I missed what happened yesterday, but want Tommy to know, he is the reason I am jumping in here now, to beg him to come back. Love, as always to Susan. The Aberdeen videos are fantastic. I love to see her expressions and I particularly liked the way she waved whilst holding onto the mike.
@stevieboy49; Will try to :>) but its REALLY hard not to be ticked especially as am plagued with one NASTY case of eczema right now, eeeghhh!!!

Glad to say that ponies and other critters usually play nicer than the playground bullies in the human world. So let's all go back to "grazing" on the sweet pastures of this site. And pleeeeeze don't anyone demand punctuation perfection from ME on a blog. I only supervised the wordprocessing center for a fortune 500 corporation and had enough of that boredom. Here it just doesn't matter:)and it's so refreshing to just say what we feel.
@BMS; Welcome to the Susaverse ;>) Do please ignore the "lice attack(s)" going on right now.

AFan2 hello - I see our point, and agree with much of what you say. I too have been a member of a number of different forums and sites. My observation is that yes trolls exist on all sites, they are a fact of life. However there is often an optimum point in the evolution of sites and forums, where the majority can unwittingly become intolerant of anything outside of a narrow view. We can forget that members are of different ages, from many different countries, from different cultures and creeds, that they speak different languages and may also be of differing intellectual capabilities. We may also have people on here with learning disabilities who struggle to express their views appropriately and are mislabelled. Some may be fixated on an issue like this person, who appears to have obsessive compulsive disorder to me, and who has attacked Tommy as a result. I am not excusing his actions by any stretch of the imagination, but what I am trying to do is understand them. I also noticed that squeaky bird, who was also accused by some, was defending Tommy to junebug in the offending thread. Squeaky bird may well have been trying to understand what junebug was about. His/her words were hurtful, and inexcusable, but that does not put them in the same basket as the troll who comes on spewing offensive language – and we have seen a lot of them in the chat room. On another forum he/she might perhaps be put onto moderator preview to ensure their wilder excesses did not hurt any one else, but that they were not excluded from being involved. This site is about love and understanding, and this guy seems to me to have issues.

Tommy we all love you honey, and this place would not be the same without you, I hope you know just how much real and genuine affection there is around here for you. I love reading your comments. Think about what Susan would want you to do, and you know what a fighter our girl is!

Hi Everyone,

Just clearing blog up, you may see some comments have been deleted that refer to the latest unwanted member.

Loved the videos posted by Tieesel- now where is Jim from Scotland? He was in chat last night, and he was absoultely nearly speechless trying to express how incredible Susan was in person last night- I would love to read his blog about it, not little chat text bites, Jim if you have the time today? Tommy, you should come back. If you let a troll bully you, they will have WON!
@SusanBoyleFan; THANK YOU!!! Now I can relax!

All true Susanites, PLEASE stay here on the blog page as much as you can to help fight the you-know-whats! What they want is to make us so disgusted that we leave.

indysue I have wondered about that as well. I think IDAd has some particular meaning for Susan. During the BGT performances I felt like she might singing to Piers. Whatever I am so proud of her grace and yes her beauty. She is coming into her own as I believe she was meant too. This is her time. I can not abide these negative comments by others.

@Cee--do you have a slow internet connection causing your video problems? some videos are off video/audio. Susan blew kisses during the afternoon performance. imbed this video is for people putting them on their net sites.

can you play the video of Memory at Aberdeen on youtube okay? cut and paste the url into your browser. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VBVaprjJLoc

I note that my last post has been removed because it referred to the you-know-whats. That's fine by me. Paul is on the case and that is as it should be. Only true Susanites allowed. Can I also make a personal plea - come back to us, Tommy. We miss you! It's not the same without you and your shining love for 'oor lassie'!
Posted by DJG-Scotland on June 24, 2009
@Cee - if you have a reasonably fast connection (or have access to one) you can download the Aberdeen DVD image file and play it on your TV. See the earlier post (in green text) for info.

Sad that people leave. That means the bully won after all. I hate to see that.

I went to look at the chatroom. You have to type fast there and only put short sentences.

I don't know what to say that is new. It is all said in other peoples comments. I read a lot about Tommy and saw some of his great tributes. Will he be able to read this if he has left. Maybe someone he knows will tell him. I hope so.

I have lurked on this site from the beginning. Tammy has been a delight and wonderful fan of Susan’s and I assume he still is. I believe that Tommy is bigger than allowing a troll to chase him away. Hey, if Susan has courage and can overcome all the nastiness thrown at her I cannot see why Tommy cannot overcome this meaningless troll stuff....? So Tommy just let the pride thing go and come back the fans on this sit love you….!!! Susan was wonderful last night what a wonderful human being and such talent she shares will the world. peace and joy Whisper 1

OK, with your advice, I've added a thumbnail. This is all new for me, too; and it takes time. I certainly hope that I have not offended anyone with any past posts; and look forward to ongoing news, stories, and cute comments (loved the dog w/ glasses in regards to our ability to see!). So sorry there have to be trolls... The good shall overcome.. Thanks to the editor; but I hope we can be free to express what comes naturally positive.
@stevieboy49; Agree as well, don't mind either if my vain attempts at "rodent control" get nixed by our Administrator. Lesson for me is don't mix something important I'd want to say in with admonishing an attacker else its gone for good!

Logging off for now; see (i.e. read) y'all later today - Chao!

May have to call off work- nothing about Susan making me sick, just ate something bad yesterday....

The close-up videos are terrific -- thank you to Teesiel for posting. We can see Susan's interpretations better than most of the audience!! Her singing is captivating, as always. But I do think she looks tired, particularly on IDAD. Doesn't prevent her from delivering a knockout performance, though. It must be very difficult to keep singing the same songs over and over with the same enthusiasm and keeping them fresh-sounding. I think she's rising to the occasion beautifully -- what a sport!!

Tommy, your presence among us is definitely missed. Thank you for all the beautiful videos you provided -- they gave a great deal of enjoyment to all of us.

LucyB, I want to echo your THANK YOU to all the people behind the scenes who make the effort to upload videos to this site. I don't have that ability, but I REALLY APPRECIATE their efforts!!

Hello my wonderful friends and family....I am overwhelmed by the love and support that you all have given me. And still in tears. I want to personally thank all of you for your emails. Of course, I don't think I could ever get to answering all of them. And that is why I want to thank you all here and now. I am so sorry for upsetting the cart yesterday, and I apologize from the bottom of my heart. I never intended for that to happen. I am back, and our wonderful Admin. Paul, is aware of everything. He, if anyone, is to be thanked. I love all of you, and if I don't get back to you on your emails, please don't be offended. I do have a request to make. If you have any comments to this, please let's not put it on the blog, and take up too much space. This blog is for Susan. I just wanted to let you all know that Paul has re-activated my account, and I will continue to contribute to the site all that I can. A special love to you ALL from Louisiana.......blessings, Tommy

I signed off last night and didn't see the post attacking Tommy. I've watched his videos. but not read the comments, so I was unaware that he was being attacked by a troll. And one now seems to be attacking Paul. ENOUGH! Both Paul and Tommy have dedicated a lot of effort into seeing that this site honors Susan. The attacks must stop.

Tommy, like many others here I hope you will return to the site. Your presence is special and you are so talented which shows in the beautiful videos you create and share with us. If, like Susan, you need to take a few days away to rest and regroup, do it. Then please come back to us.

I have been off site all nite, unaware of the problems going on. We had a peaceful community here of fans, and I hope it returns as we go forward. Somehow when you have success like Susan had, there also seems to have a devious demon that follows. If this site had not been successful, maybe we would not have had this problem. Tommy U.S.A. put his heart and soul into making these artistic videos for everyone to enjoy. I hope Tommy will return as he has been of great value in not only input, but in maintaining moral support for our entire group of fans.

Tommy I'm so happy to see you back. . . . and I love how Susan is giving out so much love to the audience like she does and was so happy to see her cute smile up close. Thank you so much to all of those who work to post the wonderful videos of Susan - Great Close Ups! What a treat. As well as the link to any new articles which I love reading as well.

As far as trolls and negativity on this blog go - my philosophy is I don't feed into it. Negativity is looking for food in order to keep itself going and growing.

Letting go of engaging with negativity eventually causes it to dissipate and move on. As it will have nothing to feed on.

Sometimes comments go unnoticed when they appear under the video clips, here is one written from the heart and soul:

Posted by Dottie51 on 6/23/2009 This was a beautiful set of pictures that all of her fans will love! And yes, Susan, we adore you! We didn't know you when you were little, but we love you as the adorable baby on you mother's lap, as the little girl at the piano, as the schoolgirl dealing with old fashioned schools and small-town bullies, as a beautiful young woman sharing her beautiful voice at family festivities and local events, as the sturdy, steady caretaker for her parents, putting all her own dreams and ambitions on hold, and now as her obligations to them have ended, she decides to do one thing more for her mother---honor her mother's dream for her, face uncertainty and possible disappointment, push through the obstacles and push past those who can't stand to see others succeed... and transform into this beautiful, world-renowned singer who thrills the hearts of so many all around the world. And at the same time, staying the same cheerful, charming, witty Susan that we met at that first audition! Ah, Susan, how we adore you!!!

I Hope these comments will brighten you day, as they did mine!

Just a thought I have regarding Afan2's post and Tommy's situation (very glad you're are back, Tommy): If someone as strong as Tommy can be knocked off balance by a troll then think how someone else might feel to be attacked by another fan. This has happened several times on this site. I think some people with strong personalities have any idea how hurtful some of their comments and criticisms have been. I'm not talking to anyone in particular right now. I just know it has occurred and it has bothered me a great deal every time.

BTW, has anyone heard from Reinder recently? Did he leave?
Posted by Teesiel on June 24, 2009
Good morning (11 am here) , good afternoon and good evening--people are from all over the world here. Tried to read all of the posts very quickly. Just wanted to say in Glasgow Susan signed her autograph as Susan Boyle and then under it (SuBo) so I think she finds it a term of endearment, actually. :-) Wanted to say: notice in the Aberdeen Memory at :15-:17 she starts giggling to herself. Must think this whole thing is quite a trip. Also how cute in the Aberdeen Curtain call when she runs to catch up to Julian--I mean he could have come a little more center and not just waited on his line for her to catch up. Gotta love it!!
Posted by tweek on June 24, 2009
Lonnirose, thank you...I had gone away from my computer for a couple hours and come back and did not read the new notes...most glad to hear Tommy is back...
Posted by Carnegie61 on June 24, 2009
Lonnierose - I haven't seen anything about Susan NOT performing. If she isn't, we probably won't know for a while as it will take the media some time to fabricate an outlandish story about why she stayed home.
Posted by bjNewMexicoUSA on June 24, 2009
These closeup videos are great. I've not seen a performer who interacts with the audience during a song while staying in the mood of the song as Susan did. I've seen some able to tune out the distractions to stay in the song almost like being in a bubble. Then after they finish, they interact with the audience. In my limited experience, I think Susan's ability to do both is quite amazing.

We've really been privileged to witness Susan's growth from that first audition to her being a consumate star. And don't go away folks--there's more to come.

9:53 am CDT ~~ Good morning to the Susan Global Village ~~ Just watched again to the close-up vids of last night's Aberdeen performance. It was both unique from the other performances and at the same time just as beautiful. Susan seemed really tuned into the group of young girls close to the stage and to her right. When they shouted lovingly to her she responded (multiple times by waving and smiling.) But she didn't forget the words, just kept on singing. I watched her eyes and she does look around the audience and makes that eye contact, how lovely. Another great performance Susan. Rhw BGT Tour is almost over and you can set your own pace. We love you Susan.

There are so many wonderful helpful people on this site and TOMMY USA is first among them. Feel so badly that some troll ruined his day and took joy away from him. He has spent hours and hours devoting himself to additions to this site. I remember the "I got it" for one of Susan's concert. He was the first to post for us. I don't know when he eats, works or sleeps - he has been so devoted to all us fans. I hope too that he can let go of his hurt by one person and rejoin us with this wonderful person. We love you, Tommy! If Susan can do it,so can you!

Posted by Lonnirose on June 24, 2009
Carnegie, LOL!! You got that right - the slimoids would be all over that like white on rice.

PWattis, you make a good point. One of the disadvantages of writing is that the voice inflections are missing, so sometimes a perfectly innocent comment is taken the wrong way by the reader. We are all here with a common interest (obsession?) and that is our love and admiration for the wonderful Susan. We can disagree, but nicely.

Posted by chrisk on June 24, 2009
@ Fran M We never knew if she liked it (SuBo) or not. I was hesitant to use it because the tabloids came up with it and we know how mean they have been. But it does look as if Susan is embracing it. Good for her. Better to do that that to stress over it.
Posted by PWattis on June 24, 2009
@Lonnirose, I definitely agree there can be misunderstandings due to writing instead of speaking. The incidents, I am thinking of, however, were pretty clear personal attacks. Oh well, I guess its none of my business if it didn't involve me.

@Teesiel, thank you for the inside scoop regarding Susan being okay with the name SuBo. I still would never be able to bring myself to call her that though. I wonder if she also knows that she has also been dubbed very affectionately as Lady Susan? My guess is not since the media hasn't picked up on it.

Welcome back, dear Tommy, in the bosom of your "family", as they say. ((hugs))

Susan's Aberdeen performances were as usual, stellar. It is nice to be able to see her facial expressions. Oh, she is adorable!!! I think her rendition of "Memory" was probably the best she has done. I agree, tho', she looks tired.

Dulcie: Your lovely video..Tribute from Canada...expresses Canadians' love and support for OurSusan. And the music too, so well chosen. I am so techstupid, I am amazed at the talent and savvy demonstrated by so many clever members expressing love and support for our dear Susan. Thank you, Dulcie, from a fellow Canadian, and thank you Tommy for your help to Dulcie in making this video.

I watched part of AGT last night. I decided that I don't think PiersyBaby is for Our Susan. He, and his hectic life would not suit Susan, IMHO.

All for now...back later. Many thanks for posting those nice close-ups, Teesiel.

chrisk I used that one time (SuBo) over on that U-tube and goodness they attacked me like I was a troll. I didn't know I had said anything wrong when I called her that. I had meant it in a good way. My one and only time ever to leave a comment there.
Posted by jayhawk fan on June 24, 2009
@Teesiel...did you get her autograph or see someone who did? Thank you so much for the great videos from yesterday and WELCOME BACK TOMMY!
Posted by Lonnirose on June 24, 2009
@Fran, I think one of Susan's brothers made that comment, but who knows if the press got it right. If she's signing her name that way, she must like it all right. I think it's kinda cute and can't see that it's offensive in any way unless I'm missing something. I've even seen Pebbles called Pebbo in some paper or other.

Last night after watching Susan's videos for the umpteenth time I was in the kitchen and thought I heard Susan on TV. Came running in to see if maybe one of her clips was on, and there was just a cartoon playing. Then I realized - it was in my head!
Posted by Fran M. on June 24, 2009
chrisk: Thanks for your explanation re "SuBo". I think it's a compliment to her to be known by initials of sort. Only high-profile celebs get to be known with such abbreviations.
Posted by Fran M. on June 24, 2009
Lonnirose, thanks for youre reply also re SuBo. Sometimes I wonder if her brothers really know what Susan is thinking.
@All re. Appropriateness of saying "SuBo" discussion; That's a GREAT question to direct at Susan' publicist; for now I'll continue calling her Susan.

I think it's so funny how there is so much written about AGT trying to find another Susan Boyle. I'm sure there are fine undiscovered singers in the world, but where are they going to find someone just as gifted with also her charisma, her personality-plus, her dear, sweet, lovable-ness! Good luck with that! Susan is one of a kind, and it's hilarious that AGT can even hope to repeat a once in a lifetime discovery. Or maybe they don't really, they are just trading on Susan's name.

By the way, welcome back TommyUSA!
Posted by mclim on June 24, 2009
Lonnirose That's pretty pathetic, isn't it? I'm sorry you were treated that way. I was too, so I just don't go there.
Posted by terijay on June 24, 2009
I hope Susan takes a rest day today. She did Birmingham already, so it would be a good plan. I suspect that will be the case, as the travel is the toughest part on Her and everyone else... after Simon's letter to the Daily Mail, in which he explictly states that Susan has, from the beginning of this tour, been able to chose which days she wants to perform, The tabloids may not even print the now "non-story" at all this time.
Posted by stevieboy49 on June 24, 2009
If "Subo" is OK for Subo then it is OK for Me! Thanks, Teesiel for sharing that info with us. Glad to have you back, Tommy! All's well that ends well! Birmingham, here she comes, AGAIN! Wow, how come these 'brummies' get two shows from our gracious one? Not fair, really. It will be interesting so compare the two performances, though - to see how much Susan has refined her singing, gestures etc. Can't wait!
Posted by BethInTheUSA on June 24, 2009
I forgot to mention the unique quality of Susan's voice, the spine-tingling, tear-producing, soul-enhancing mysterious something that causes the world to say, "There's an angel in our midst." AGT can't possibly, really, think they can find another Susan.
Posted by DJG-Scotland on June 24, 2009

Your latest post is yet another example of the warm and sincere person you are! Thank you for all that you've done so far! Let's go on sharing our thoughts, feelings and jokes lightheartedly! Susan is doing good and improving on that! Aren't we lucky to belong to this very special fan site!

@tweek What a great idea to have it posted in Susan's town. Thanks for this idea. I thought it expressed Susan's life in such a beautiful way. I did email Dottie to tell her how beautiful it was just in case she didn't see the posting here.
Posted by ponylady on June 24, 2009
Was just smiling at the little hand wave Susan gave to the "Subo you go" fan in the audience. It made me realize she probably has done that before to rave responses by her followers in Karaoke performances. It came very automatically and happily and sure made me happy to see her smile and, as usual, not miss a beat. I hope for a best selling autobiography, prepared with Susan, especially in regard to her views on how her life was in Blackburn. I'll bet we would be very surprised at her "memories."
Posted by a-texfan on June 24, 2009
Lonnirose, I too am sorry you were treated so poorly. Your love for Susan is so genuine and your spunk makes me laugh. There are always haters out there.
Posted by Lonnirose on June 24, 2009
Maybe Susan's going with how she feels as to which days off she chooses. She has to be tired from all that traveling, and she gives so very much to her performances. Still, she's a true artist and thrives on "singing before a large audience."
Posted by DJG-Scotland on June 24, 2009
I think Susan has finally realised that the audience will do anything she wants! She could tell them all to hop on one leg, and they'd do it!

I watched Susan the night she was mentioned on US nightly news and have watched her everyday since then...This site is an amazing place and is now a real part of my life. @a-texfan, thanks. I just blew it off and deleted it.

Tell ya'll what I've noticed about the audience when Susan sings: They just go wild when she moves, especially when she opens her arms to them. I just love seeing that, and as annoying as they can be sometimes I love hearing the adulation she receives from the crowd. Her response to them is amazing - she handles it with such grace.

Has anyone experienced a fan club site with this amount of constant activity? Since it is my first and probably only one in my life I wonder. As much as we worry about the BGT tour and all its stress on our singing super star, it seems the tour is our "Superbowl" "March Madness" and "World Series" and maybe even Olympics for all the wonderful news we are able to garnish from it. Do you think when Susan moves to the recording studio for a time we will be likely to spend this much time here? I somehow hope so and my aching body somehow hopes not :) Need to get out of this chair more!

Howdy Pards,

Just got back to the ranch after a few chores. Been readin' your posts and looks like Paul is cleanin' up after some varmints hit. Tommy, I didn't even know you had left before ya got back. And it sure is good to have ya back in this here outfit where ya belong. If we gotta get ourselves a Louisiana Posse goin' just say the word, I'll be saddled and ready to ride along with a few thousand others in this here outfit...the bad guys wont have a chance. Don't anybody ever leave this here outfit because of some troll...if ya do the bad guys win. Stay right here with your family and ol' Paul will clean up the mess in no time flat. By the way Paul, thanks...we appreciate it.

Hey, Teesiel, thanks for roundin' up these great videos. Ya done good.

Today the show heads back to Birmingham and the National Indoor Arena!

O.K....I ain't no teenage girl...so truth is I don't gotta clue what causes them to shout out during the middle of a performance. Round home that would be considered downright rude. Expecially if you are so near the stage that the performer can't help but hear it. As I watched these videos it seemed to me that there were some downright rude teenage girls squeelin' and squirmin' and yellin' when they shoulda just been settin' there and listenin' to Susan sing. Course I grew up in another time altogether...things were a whole lot different back in those days. I thank the Good Lord that I wasn't born any later than I was...reckon I belong back in the 1800's somewheres rather than up here in 2009... All I know is, if I woulda made noises durin' a concert somewheres my folks woulda made it kinda clear that I shouldn't do that...till the performance was over.

Reckon I'm gettin' old...kinda turnin' into my Dad...and his Dad...and his...

Adios for now. Talk to ya on down the trail.

One more thing: Any word on whether or not Susan will sing in Birmingham tonight?
Posted by julieoffutt on June 24, 2009
I agreee with patriciasart and so many of you on this website: IT'S TIME FOR SUSAN TO FINISH BGT. Also, any thoughts of AGT and Las Vegas should be forgotten for now. Our lassie needs to get the first of her CDs done (I hope she choses some of the songs many of us have suggested but whatever she choses will be just fine with me) and go back to Blackburn and regroup. I get irritated more each day with Piers and Simon. They don't OWN Susan! Maybe there's another song we could add to that list of songs for her to sing: FREE AGAIN! We want her to be herself again. She has no need to prove anything to anyone. She IS a professional singer. She's won the hearts of more fans than any singer in history. I'll bet Barbra Streisand could tell her a thing or two about maintaining her privacy. Soon for Susan, I hope: HAPPY DAYS ARE HERE AGAIN!
Posted by DJG-Scotland on June 24, 2009
Even a minor irritation like death wouldn't stop me going out to buy a Susan CD!

Posted by joyceleo on June 24, 2009
Another stunning performance. Her diamond shines brighter with each cut. She is SO far beyond any talent shows that I find it sad to see the BGT folks trying to drag her into more such shows. She is a world-class performer on her own. She could even have her own show and bring on compatible stars to sing and cavort with her in her own inimacable way. As for Tommy, he is one of the purest admirers of all time. This is my first fan club and I had no idea about trolls and such, but that goes with the territory. Stamp them out and FREE SUSAN!
Posted by pickled tink on June 24, 2009
Susan's brother said in an interview that Whistle Down The Wind was the song she waned to do in the final, but the produces wanted her to do IDAD - I can see why they did as it is her signature song, but I am so longing to hear her sing WDTD and to hear that loud and clear.

While we are having a moment of relative calm and can maybe take a breath, I wonder if any one of you have thought of Susan singing "I loves You, Porgy" from Porgy and Bess. Haven't looked at everyone's lists, so I don't know if anyone put it down. Anyway, it recently popped into my head, and I can see her singing it beautifully, can almost hear her. Anybody agree?

Teesiel I saw the little giggle too, and when the fans said SuBo she smiled and gave a kiss to the area where she heard it from then a little wave. It's so good to see her interact with the audience. Yes, Diversity are the winners of BGT but she's the people's choice, not the voters choice.

Posted by joyceleo on June 24, 2009
Susan is now cooperating with the Subo-Susan screams from the audience in the midst of her singing and even responding with little waves and head noddings and smiles. She is apparently now a genuine ROCK STAR as well as a Classic Songbird. Rocking apparently means that the audience interacts with its icon as much or more than listening to the words. It's part of the Rock scene and apparently not meant as rudeness? She's taking it all in stride, but she does need a rest.
Posted by a-texfan on June 24, 2009
Summertime is one of my all time favorites. I can hear Susan singing it and want melt.
Posted by sassyone on June 24, 2009
PWattis regarding lady Susan, there is an phone in interview from the CBC Canada and the journalist said "how about Lady Susan, that has a nice title doesn't it?" and Susan laughed, the reporter then said "I quiet like it." etc. it's here in the video archive. She's the only one that never ask Susan about a make over, she talks to her like they're friends. Asks questions about her mother and Susan hesitates but answers her with a Yes it's a good interview.
Today (I think) is the 88th day of Susan-Boyle.com's operational history.

Special acknowledgement & heartfelt appreciation by me to Susafan Number One SusanBoyleFan (April 12, 2009) and who (I think) made the very first blog post - carol - who (I think) joined Susan-Boyle.com and made it Monday, April 13, 2009 who also (I think) is still an active member.

Posted by terijay on June 24, 2009
Agree with Joyceleo- She is becoming an Idol to the teen set- which is very interesting! Should boost her CD sales, should it not? The larger the demographic, the more the CD should fly off the shelves. I also agree that Susan should quit the tour now- they can say she strained her voice or something - not the old "she is tired" crap. Maybe do one or two in Ireland, and that's it.
I would loveeeeeeeeeeeee to see Susan grab the mic and hold it in her hand. I still think the BGT people aren't letting her because she might drown out the other acts?? I dunno but I think her voice is literally magical when she's holding the mic as opposed to standing infront of it. Does anyone know if Susan is singing tonight?

Was justing thinking about that MSNBC Today show the other day and wondering if most people in the USA know how well Susan is doing. I just emailed all my friends with the link to Sunday's afternoon performance at Wembley at this site http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=r1KFsJXs1-o&eurl=http%3A%2F%2Fwww%2Esusanboylefanclub%2Ecom%2F&feature=player_embedded. Maybe if we spread the word to our friends, we would be helping her cause. Just a thought, anyway.
I just did my daily Susan Boyle google and cracked up. The one article is titled.... "Read this because it mentions Susan Boyle" lmao Is that directed at me cause I've read everything and google her a few times a day looking for SusaNews?
Posted by Lonnirose on June 24, 2009
Oh Summertime! Perfect!!! Susan would make that song popular again all over the charts. I bet some of the younger crowd has never even heard it, or at least not much. I hope she does some hymns, too. She sang in church, so she probably knows hundreds of those.
Teesiel,

Thank you so very much for these wonderful close-up videos! They make me gulp & tear up ... I feel like I am at the concert.

Thanks to all who make this an extraordinary fansite for an extraordinary Susan.

I wasn't following what happened yesterday with negative comments but I just hope that we all can take a lesson from Susan and just keep on our paths no matter what evil is lurking about trying their best to bring us down.

God Bless Susan and all her supporters!

Has anyone ever heard Romeo and Juliet (the movie version) played on a violin? I've long thought it one of the best examples of violin playing.

Well, the violin can take a back seat to the way Susan sounds when she sings the word "Midnight" at the beginning of the Aberdeen Memory. I've never heard someone sound like an exquisitely-tuned violin before.

I think this is what makes her unique. No one else's voice is their instrument like hers is.
Posted by mclim on June 24, 2009
I think she would be great singing "This is the Moment" from the play "Jekyll and Hyde." One verse is:

"This is the day, see it sparkle and shine, when all I've lived for becomes mine."

I think that song would fit her perfect.

I know it's distracting when the kids yell out but most are probably used to going to rock concerts where it doesn't matter how loud they are, the amps drown them out. I have to say, I think it is neat that kids seem to love her so much. She simply sings.............no ear-splitting amps, no gyrating, no glitz, just Susan and a spectacular voice. I read on one of the blog comments (not here) that she had no appeal for the under 30's. Well, she has certainly put the lie to that.

Teesiel these are superior videos! The best yet. Her interaction with the fans was wonderful. I especially liked that she could do that while listening for her cue in the middle of "Memory". Shows our Susan is finding her "sea legs" so to speak and she was much more confident. I would rate this a 15.

Someone earlier mentioned that IDAD is Susan's signature song and I agree. I hope it is also the name of her new CD because it sums up the reason for her being where she is today. Perhaps someone will write a song for her called "My Dream Came True"!
She responded so warmly towards the audience at Aberdeen, this is what made this performance extra special. The way she smiled and waved at them and even acknowledged the person who shouted out "Subo..." It didn't seem to bother her the nickname. I'm not too keen on it myself really, Susan is a nice name; but so long as Susan doesn't seem to mind it - it is okay! lol! I do wonder what Barbara Streisand is thinking of all this. It was her who I remember singing it. Susan has made this song her own and I want to hear so much more from her. After the tour, when she has taken a nice long rest, I hope her CD will be packed with stuff like "The Best," (Tina Turner) and perhaps even "Goldfinger...." I think her voice suits so many different songs.

Loving each and every performance Susan gives. One amazing lady! She blows the audience away!
Posted by vera on June 24, 2009
What a pro Susan is. To sing like that and acknowledge the cheers of the audience at the same time - she really does seem to be enjoying herself now. Would love to see her perform in person; hope she makes it out to Vancouver one of these days.

Howdy Pards,

Well, I ain't so sure Susan likes bein' called SuBo. She may have smiled and recognized those overly enthusiastic teenagers but I think that was just Susan being nice. Don't mistake that for liking the name SuBo.

Namecallin' never was a flatterin' thing. Her name is Susan Boyle. Let's not forget that it was the British tabloid press that created the unflattering nicknames to sell their trash.

I reckon you can do whatever ya want...but, you wont be hearin' me calling Susan anything but Susan...unless it's the Scottish Singing Sensation or something flattering like that.

Do unto others as you would have them do unto you. Words can hurt...just as bad as sticks and stones.

Wild Ol' Dan
It'll be interesting to see if IDAD ends up being Susan's signature song but I'm not so sure. Her voice is so amazing, I don't think we've heard the signature yet, although, that'll be close.

It's going to be mighty difficult for Susan to extricte herself from the controlling BGT folks. As much as we love Susan and her purity, to some, it's all about money. Here is a reputable article from today's Financial Times:

From the Financial Times www.ft.com TV’s Cowell and retailer Green join forces By Matthew Garrahan in Los Angeles and Elizabeth Rigby in London Published: June 23 2009 21:27 | Last updated: June 23 2009 23:12 Simon Cowell, one of the world’s biggest TV stars, has joined forces with Sir Philip Green, the British retail billionaire, to form a global entertainment company that will create and own television content on both sides of the Atlantic. The two men, close friends for the past decade, have been working closely together in recent weeks, with Sir Philip travelling to Los Angeles to advise Mr Cowell on a new contract to appear on the Fox network’s American Idol. The venture with Sir Philip will effectively act as a holding company for all of Mr Cowell’s entertainment interests, which include Britain’s Got Talent, America’s Got Talent and The X-Factor. But it will also be a springboard for new programming devised or produced by Mr Cowell, with Sir Philip providing business advice. For Sir Philip, the new company, which has yet to be named, provides a potentially lucrative merchandising opportunity – particularly in fashion, his traditional speciality. It is unclear how much capital Sir Philip will put into the venture. Mr Cowell, a judge on American Idol, the most-watched US TV programme, has been inbeen talks with 19 Entertainment, which owns the rights to the show, and News Corp’s Fox network about a new contract. His deal with the programme, the cornerstone of the Fox schedule, expires in May. Mr Cowell and Sir Philip declined to comment but a person familiar with the talks said a new American Idol deal would probably be struck for Mr Cowell through the new Green-Cowell entity. Mr Cowell has been offered an American Idol contract that would make him the best-paid star of TV, with a deal likely to surpass even Oprah Winfrey’s estimated earnings, according to a person familiar with the talks. The person added that Mr Cowell was keen to agree new deals with all of his broadcasting and music partners. His long-term deal with Sony Music comes to an end next year. Sony is keen to keep him on board thanks to the success of acts such as Leona Lewis, who were discovered by Mr Cowell through The X-Factor, his UK singing competition show. Sir Philip and Mr Cowell are keen to ensure a smooth transition to the new company, said another person familiar with the situation. “Philip is only interested in working with existing partners and not new partners,” the person said.

I noticed there is something new in the web, but don't know what. Only that I know there are some amazing fans out there who are helping out on the web sites, taking the movies and so forth. THEY ARE GREAT, and fans in the no where like me really appreciate all that you have done.

It is crazy if people are posting negative comments here.

I never really understood the goosebumps thing, but I finally got it after watching the Aberdeen live show. It was GREAT!!!! I am just waiting for her CD. She has really improved miles since the semis and final, or more accurately, I should say she is now much more to herself now.

THANK YOU SO MUCH AGAIN for putting the wonderful close up clips.

Hi Susan villagers: I'd love to see Cry Me a River on her new CD. The recording available is really beautiful and shows what control she has over her voice - a ballad tells the story and she tells it good. Loved the close up on latest video. She's looking every inch the star now isn't she. (no ? mark - just fact). She's developed a poise on stage that it would take years to develop. she's not an overnight success in many ways as she's paid her views singing all over the place. BGT is just where she plugged in and hit electricity!! May God send his love peace and care over her today. Bright tomorrrows too!

@DJG-Scotland - I like the walking skeleton image! It made me laugh! 'Minor irritation' like death won't stop you from buying Susan's CD. That's really funny! It's good to have something like that break the seriousness of some of the comments - so thanks for the image! In my case, I am postponing by birthday until I get hold of Susan's first CD. This may be a minor irritation - but come to think of it, I will be younger by a few months!! TOMMY, thanks for coming back. I joined this fansite not long ago and the first impression I got was that you are doing a lot of work for this site and that people here love and appreciate you. Another thing I noticed is that besides loving Susan you also love God so this is why I like you. Please don't let any negative post bring you down Tommy. Don't let the enemy of our souls throw parties at our expense. Tommy and SUSAN, YOU ARE LOVED!

Wild Ol' Dan.... Amen, Pard! I, too, am of the same opinion. I often refer to Susan as "oor lassie" because, like me, she is from Bonnie Scotland! I am still not happy about referring to her as SuBo. She might like it, although I am still not 100% convinced of that, despite Teesiel's assertion, and unless I hear it from Susan herself, Susan or "lassie" it shall be. "Let the lassie sing," as one of her neighbours once said." As I have myself said earlier, she is far too polite to reject the soubriquet in any case. What's wrong with chanting ....Susan ...Susan anyway? I have heard that on the soundtrack of most of the videos posted on this site and it is her name after all. Again, re Birmingham, no news is...... Re this announcement about Simon Cowell and Philip Green. Why am I so uneasy about that? Is it a coincidence that we have a grovelling apology from Simon last week and now this new venture is announced soon after. Mmmm.
Posted by chirper on June 24, 2009
Love the way she gives a "wiggle wave" with her fingers when she is holding the mike and someone shouts they love her. Are they having a rest day today? Why no news? Would love new pics but that would mean her privacy breached and we really want her to have time and space to herself.

I'm an old rocker..my iPod has Beatles, Stones, Bob Seger, Pink Floyd, 3 Dog Night, Queen, etc and the iPod goes everywhere I do..love music going constantly..car is tuned to rock stations..etc. Lately I haven't listened to the car radio because it gets in the way of Susan singing in my head...LOL ;-). It's fun speculating about the songs we would like to hear Susan sing...There is one song I dearly would love to hear her sing as a duet... It is "Don't Know Much" this is a duet with Linda Ronstadt and Aaron Neville. Aaron has an unusual and amazing voice. Wild 'Ol Dan, being from Louisiana, I'll bet you have heard him sing. Don't know who would be best with her in this duet, but it is a sensational love song ahhhhhhhh. that is MY dream..Jsut thoughts flying around in by Texas sun baked brain...Love to All...

purplegothicqueen, maybe you missed Tessiel's post earlier, Susan actually signs her autograph with SuBo after her name...so she actually must kind of like it!

Loved your description of her Aberdeen performances above here...

greatgrannie, maybe I am just a sentimentalist but I definitely like that idea for a song... "My Dream Came True"...maybe we could put in the request to Andrew Lloyd Webber

Hello friends, I love Susan singing Memories in Aberdeen. I'm also impressionned by the warm reaction of very young people in the audience. Even my kids like her so much! I find Piers' article linked before certainly not his best one, but not so much offensive either, just like an "accident in work" - if it's ok in English. I think he only wanted to promote AGT with a simpliest possible message and he knows how to make a good title o short sentence that people will remember, even if this one about beating etc. wasn't kind. BTW Susan IS the true BGT winner and that's why they are all talking about her and nobody else whan there is a discussion about ratings or the BGT tour concerts. On the other hand your strong comments may make him or other media be more carefull in the future, so it's good. In Poland it's now 8 p.m., it's cold and raining all the time, but with this site you feel better at once :-) For me it's also the first fanclub or fansite I ever joined, it's pretty active and I really enjoy it. Great that Tommy is back!!!

Susan just keeps getting better and better. She is now not just an unusually talented singer, she is scary good. In my opinion, for what it's worth, Susan Boyle is the best singer alive today. Her voice is enchanting, pure, and true. Her personality is fun, loving, and rich. The world needs Susan Boyle much more than she needs us. Go Susan! Oh, my two boy kitties asked me to say "Hi there1" to Pebbles. They're both big fans of the lovely Scottish feline.
Posted by susanfan1970 on June 24, 2009
You would not believe it that they are advertising a CD in Hong Kong and the CD has one "I dreamed a dream" by Elaine Paige, and it went "the song of Britain Got Talent", so I looked at the screen, the name Elaine Paige and one bit of the song came through. MY GOD. Susan is promoting Elaine Paige. Like many others, I had never heard of EP until I saw the clip of the audition.

The 10 songs...one of them definitely is "wind beneath my wings", "Think of me", "Both sides now" (not sure that's the right name of the song, and "you raise me up" (again, not sure the correct song's name.

BY THE WAY. Now that I read patriciasart 's post about Diversity. I recently found out from u-tube that Diversity actually WON the 2008 street dance in England, and then they went straight to the audition of BGT. I was very puzzled about this. WHY ON EARTH A SORT OF WINNER WOULD GO AGAIN? Which means that THEN X factor's winner could go to Britian's Got Talent?

If anyone has won a public competition, especially they became a WINNER, then they should not have even compete in the BGT!!! My point of view anyway. Susan THUS is still the WINNER. haha...

Posted by aroseblush on June 24, 2009
@joyceleo: Move over Oprah, here comes Simon. I agree with your opinion, it will be hard for Susan to extricate herself from Simon's huge entertainment conglomerate. But let's remember, she has an excellent business manager who is looking out for her best interests, This may not be bad news for Susan at all. It's always about money.

I think the idea that Susan Boyle owes BGT something should be banished. Lots of people go on that show and don't become as famous as Susan, So just because Susan won second place on BGT doesn't mean she has to be a slave to their shows ( BGT,AGT,XFactor) She doesn't owe them anything ,its her fans that put her where she is.BGT is not even promoting Susan, just the opposite. All Susan has to do is get on stage and sing and her fans love her. Susan could have had a career years ago but she made a sacrifice for her parents. When she went on the BGT show ,she was discovered by the world not BGT. Anyone can go on that show, but Susan is the peoples choice. I hope she see's she doesn't need BGT ,they need her but its time for her to do her own thing. Staying with BGT,AGT or the XFactor will be an albatross tied around her neck.

1:04 p.m. - CST - this is my post and answer to Piers re: Susan's name used for AGT ratings:

The spectacle I observed on AGT last evening was undeserving of a talent such as that of our fabulous Susan Boyle. Sorry Piers, she is not in the same league.
What is wrong with her going on X-Factor? They are not going to ask her to compete with anyone just to give advice to other singers who want to make it big? Lots of previous acts do that. It definitely is not a slur on her to guest appear on that show (if indeed the rumour is true that she has been invited). As for America's Got Talent, well I took it to mean that she could be guest appearing in that as well.

I have just noted what someone said about "Diversity," now I am really surprised here. I thought that wouldn't be allowed. I mean poor Jamie Pugh got a battering just because he performed at the west end.
Posted by Lonnirose on June 24, 2009
@SusanFan1970, I also read some time ago that Diversity was sponsored and funded by the government. Don't know if it's true, but read it somewhere.
Posted by terijay on June 24, 2009
I posted this comment to that article about AGT and Piers (LOL) Hey Piersy, I know you have Susan on your mind 24/7, and cannot help talking about her at every chance you get, but Diversity won BGT, did they not? It is clear though the “People’s Winner” is Miss Boyle, noting the receptions of rapture she is getting at all the BGT tour appearances…I know this is just publicity for AGT to get in the media, as everyone reads any article with the name “Susan Boyle” embedded in it. I do not watch AGT, but I will watch if Miss Boyle appears as has been mentioned. If she does come to Vegas, that may be a good time for you to do your promised dinner. It is kind of overdue….

I think Susan likes to hold the mike because it comes naturally to her -- all those years of singing with a hairbrush in front of the mirror (a very dear image in my mind). It's something she's comfortable doing.

I like SuBo. Easy to write. Easy to say. The fans love it. So it makes you think of a Subaru, so what, Subaru lucked out. SuBo will be a great trademark for Susan, once it is designed. It will go great on baseball hats and clothes, will be a great coat of arms over her fireplace in the manse. People in Mongolia will be able to pronouce it. She needs to get it copywrited.
Posted by ArielAZ on June 24, 2009

Tommy welcome home, love you bunches. Anne
Posted by twells on June 24, 2009
Two thoughts. Susan can be a coach later. She's a performer. She wants to sing. Secondly, lets not trash Diversity. They're talented kids who lucked out and have repeatedly said that everybody knows who the real star of the tour is. As Susan said, "They're good lads".
@sassyone re. Avatar art contest; Will "surrender" my three Susan Boyle CD stand-in art as Avatars ala the one am using now, go back to using my own "personal" art.
Posted by aroseblush on June 24, 2009
ArielAZ: Good Morning. SuBo should be trade marked. IT's catchy, and can be immediately identified by her fans, and doesn't connate any negativity at all.

patriciasart, once again you have said it exactly as it is. By trying to get her to do these things on AGT or any of their other shows, they are continuing to try to ride her coattails for their own selfish ends. Susan is bigger than them, she outclasses them. If she continues tied up with them, it keeps her own career from soaring into what it can be. I hope she and those advising her realize this. Make a cd with Simon's company, okay, but for the rest of her career, she needs to shake them off.

Hi Subo family.

A thought just occurred to me. Why can't the whole show get together and do a type of 'Oliver' show, where Jaheed (or whatever his name is) is Oliver, Stavros Flatly are Fagin and his son,and Aiden playing Dodger, Susan is Nancy, Diversity are the rest of the workhouse boys, and Shaun Smith is Bill Sykes. Grand could be the beadle with his granddaughter playing Oliver's girlfriend! I don't know where to place the sax player, but he could be the background music and the rest would make a terrific backdrop.

Just a thought, my imagination runs away with me sometimes !

I thought Susan was mesmerising last night, and looking so beautiful.
@AmazinglyCritical re. Susan singing tonight; Nothing on Google News search I'd just done, am assuming she'll be on tonight.
Posted by ponylady on June 24, 2009
@ArielAZ I vote for "copywrote"... you are hilarious fun. As for "SuBo" I thought it was done for super stars such as Jenifer Lopez...was it J-LO? See how up I am on any other "stars" than our Susan.
Posted by ammo on June 24, 2009
Just returned and am scrolling UP...

@Oggles....that Oliver show, with the cast is really somethng I would love to see.
@aroseblush re. trademark "SuBo" name; Another thing to direct to Susan's publicist. Kind'a doubt it as its been in "public domain" so long.

Ponylady,---you're right! I was trying to think of a good comparison to SuBo---and all I could come up with was the things they devised for celeb couples---such as "Brangellina." J-Lo is IT!! Thanks! I am one who thinks the name "SuBo" is cute. And the fact that she would write it under her autograph tells me that Susan thinks so, too!
Posted by nibbana on June 24, 2009

I assume most of you have been looking at the latest still photos of Susan on the Playlist part of this site. There are some really nice ones of Susan with the Sax player. I didn't get to see his act (YET). He looks very nice and seems to be 'looking after' Susan. Maybe because they are both solo artists. Can anyone tell me his name please..so that I can check his act out.

He is obviously a lot younger than Susan but seems to enjoy having his photograph taken with her. And vice versa.
Posted by Oggles on June 24, 2009
Has anyone noticed how Susan always has smiling eyes, even when she's sad?
Posted by ArielAZ on June 24, 2009
Susan can have a logo designed and trademark the logo for her products and weathervane and gates and horses bridles.
Posted by Lonnirose on June 24, 2009
Terijay, you rock!

Well here comes my two-cents worth for Susan, seeing as how we're all just speculating. I think any appearance on what amount to amateur shows are beneath Susan. She has proven herself to be a star of the highest magnitude, not part of a talent act. Along with recording her CD's and DVD's, I'd like to see Susan appear only in such high-class places as Carnegie Hall and similar places in other cities. A few guest appearances on a top-quality TV show would be good too, assumng there are any left. Vegas? I don't know. Having never been there I have no idea what kind of establishments are there, although I know a lot of big stars do appear in Vegas. Of course the decision about all that is up to her and for all we know her plans are already made. Just saying I'd like to see her treated like the superstar she is. High class all the way for Lady Susan.
Posted by WAMcKinley on June 24, 2009

Today in our local news in Chile the anchorman called Susan "La Boyle, divina en Aberdeen" may be you don't know but in spanish you put the article -la- only in front of the very great divas like "La Callas" and I think that the same applies in french.

I was left watching the tv like an idiot with a big smile on my face!

Posted by DJG-Scotland on June 24, 2009
I think it was The Sun who started the 'SuBo' thing (they use a capital B in the middle), probably because the average Sun reader is too stupid to remember two names, so they have to shorten them all to one! It's a wonder they don't have to rename the paper ThSu!

Thank you Paul for keeping up on the necessary "housekeeping" for this site. I'm truly sorry to hear that some posters have left this community because of hateful remarks by others. A big thank you to everyone who posts videos of Susan's performances and the tribute videos. IMHO the tribute videos capture the diversity of this community at it's best. Keep up the friendly, informative posts. They're worth the time it takes to read through everyday. : )

OKAY I am now officially over the top over Susan. I have been coming here since the first week this site went up, have loved all of the videos and been so tickled with Teesiels(sp) reports. I thought that I would never join, just lurk, but here I am. Mainly why I am here is to thank everyone of the IT folks that bring us these wonderful videos. I, too, need multiple Susan fixes everyday. My former passion was cross stitching, but I have hardly picked up a piece - too busy watching all you folks rave about Susan. Well, Just thought I would say hi from Kentucky USA!!

@katladyd ,thats okay but this is a Susan Boyle fan site .Anyone who wants to praise Diversity can go the a Diversity fansite, just saying. Oops, excuse me ,I don't think they have one,my bad ;)

The reason why Diversity comes up along with Susan's name is for one thing ; they won but Susan is the star.Isn't that odd. Piers says Susan is the one to beat in his challenge to America. Susan has the limo, the lux. apt. the body guard, the record contract, the book deal ,the movie deal. Get the picutre? Strang "Is it not?"

The comparison is not to take anything away from Diversity's act in of itself ,but if BGT is a popularity contest ,Susan is the most popular act on that show and she is the one with world wide fame ,so I think her fans have just cause and wanting to blow her horn!

I have a beautiful English rose in my front yard. It's aroma is out of this world and the petals are exquisitely perfection. Each time it blooms it is more beautiful. Susan is like this rose; with each performance, she evolves more towards perfection, in spite of the screaming crowds. People who do not appreciate flowers will not appreciate my roses. Likewise, people who do not appreciate real singing do not appreciate Susan's voice. To take it further, people who are jealous of the talents of Tommy and Susan can turn cruel, like people who tear the petals off of roses. But my roses keeps on blooming, and Susan and, hopefully, Tommy will too.

Tommy doesn't want us saying 'Welcome back', so I won't - you'll just have to ignore this big smile on my face!

How about a peek into the future? I'm imagining the tour over, the CD out and selling millions.... its time for SUSAN BOYLE - her own Television special. With special guests Julian Smith and Elaine Page. Imagine.... at some point Susan starts singing 'Somewhere' and then Julian slowly walks on echoing her soaring voice with his sax, and they duet. She and her idol Elaine Page sharing a stage on Susan's show. I see Susan in about 3 costume changes, first something like her semi-final, second casual, in a 'home-like stage setting where she can chat to the audience and sing, and third, in full-glam, big star red sparkly dress, jewels, singing to the world. And I'm with Dan - a happy song or 3 where she can be joyful. Mmmmmm - hope it comes true! How about you?

PS If young fans want to call her SuBo, its fine with me, perhaps its a generational thing. What matters (seems to me) is that she's attracting a cross-generational audience and that is brilliant.
(covering my head from verbal bricks) SuBo--Roo sounds like an automobile brand.

Susan was marvelous singing at Aberdeen last night. In the close up video I thought the teenagers making all the racquet while she was singing Memory were being very disrespectful to Susan and maybe even trying to rattle her so she'd forget where she was in the song. I hope, of course, that they were just very enthusiatic fans, but there are times to show it during the performance and at the end. Susan was so gracious and sweet about it. She did keep looking over at them and I felt nervous they were distracting her too much and maybe she would falter. But, she did not, being the true artist she is and sang in a glorious way. Bravo, Susan.

Howdy Folks,

Well, I think DJG-Scotland might just be as amazed as I am at how many of you seem to be so eager to jump on the British Tabloid bandwagon. They've dubbed Susan many things...like "Hairy Angel" and "SuBu" and other things.

To me there just ain't nuthin' cute about it! Never has been and never will be. Her name is Susan Boyle. If we want to respect her...that's her name. If you don't, you make up nicknames... It's as simple as that.

I for one think we should show some respect to Susan... and not fall into a British Tabloid Trap. To me The Sun is about as low as it can get...

Not that I have an opinion on the matter...but to me some tabloid genius thought Hobo...Subo...that's it! Well, that's not it, as far as I am concerned. Susan has earned and deserves a whole lot more respect than that... Her name is Susan Boyle.

Adios for now. Talk to ya on down the trail.

Howdy WAMcKinley,

To my way of thinkin' Susan has earned our respect. If I ever have the honor to meet her, I'll be sayin' Good Afternoon, Miss Boyle"...not "Subo". We, her fans, decide whether she has earned our respect or not. I'd never go up to the Qween and say "Hi Qweenie". I would address her properly. I'd never go up to the President and say "Hi Prez!" I'd say, Good Afternoon Mr. President.

Susan has earned the same kind of respect. Whether she signs her autograph a certain way or not does not change that. We are the ones who must give her the respect she deserves.

I just finished watching America's Got Talent. YAWN!!!! BORING!!! I did watch all of the auditions for BGT and enjoyed them immensely. Not sure why AGT didn't do it for me. I think, partly, because I love to watch Amanda and Simon as judges. I'm not a big fan of David Hass... Ms. Osbourne is okay but no Amanda. Clearly, AGT is hoping to find another Susan Boyle. All the interviews with the judges talk about how they are looking for someone "with a dream".

It's pretty clear that these talent shows are the ONLY opportunity for a lot of people. A lot of people from a background of poverty. Susan Boyle is a once in a lifetime talent. AGT will not find another Susan Boyle. Just my two cents.

The close up videos of Susan in Aberdeen are wonderful. Thanks to you posters for bringing them here.

Some thoughts on Miss Susan Boyle: Yes the people and enterprises that are getting rich off of Miss Boyle are numereous, not to mention the international celebrity status they are also getting. But that is the nature of game and showbusiness. Miss Boyle will benefit financially in amounts that will shock not only her but most people. It will happen and rather quickly, my guess is six months to a year and she will have Millions. Of course this is not neccessarily a good thing but it is going to happen. As far as the tour goes, Miss boyle is getting valuable experience performing in front of live audiences, which many of you have pointed out she is getting better and better. Do I think Mr. Cowell or Mr. Morgan are evil people pushing her to the limits? No. They are both in the business of showbusiness, the very business Miss Boyle said was her dream to be in, ala a professional singer. Miss Boyle is probably better off having them involved in her career than not. Miss Boyle, if you've noticed, is part of a large family with far reaching professional experience, therefore I don't believe that we need worry about her professional career. I am also of the opinion that Miss Boyle, with the advice of the professional support group that is building around her, is a very capable and quick learner even with her history of early learning disabilities. Her comments about baby steps are very telling of her wisdom. If I had one reservation it would be all the attention and money that she will be getting - I only hope that it makes her happy. I, personally, am waiting for her, if she wants to, to give an in depth interview. I love her expressing her views as m uch as I love her singing. I think she may surprise many with her version of the events and the poeple around her, although she most likely, because of the fine lady she is, would not be negative in what she has to say and I suspect her anserws would be rather short as is her nature. If her dream of being a professional singer includes performing in front of a live audience, and I believe it does based on how well she is doing on the BGT Tour, then Vegas, New York and every major city in the world will be her stage. Yes, there will be a movie about her life but She is still living the ending to that movie. Yes there will be a book. Yes CD's a lot more than ONE or two but many and I'll buy them all. I have tried to analyis what it is exactly that has made her so famous and I can not. Is she a great singer? In my opinion, YES. Is she a wonderful human being? In my opinion, YES. There is beyond all that a power in her voice that probably comes from all the years and experiences of her life. It is the totality of Miss Susan Boyle that I love. I wish her well and happiness however she chooses to live the rest of her life. I feel lucky to have had this much of what she has shared with all of us to this point. I am also indedted to Simon Cowell and Britians Got Talent because I am certain, without that opportunity I would not have had the pleasure of Miss Susan Boyle.

@hipgrammy There are a lot of 'older' fans here.

To all: it is so nice that Susan has lots of young fans too. They have taken to her. They probably all have a member or two in their own families, who Susan reminds them of...so they feel close to her and comfortable. Many people in my family had beautiful voices...not Susan's quality of course, and we used to have family get togethers where family members took turns singing.....no t.v.s back then. They sang in clubs too. Sadly they are not around anymore....but Susan reminds me of them. My nana did a hilarious monologue....Memories.....aah...cue for a song.....

I just commented again with regard to his challenge to beat Susan on AGT , I was tackful :

Okay Piers I like you best of all the judges.Doesn't everyone. Your the most personable one and I know you sincerly admire and respect Susan. I also know your not the boss of BGT . But yours is the only place associated with BGT where Susan fans can post and express thier views. I'm glad Susan was discover on your show but I really hope she can move forward now. I as well as all her fans would like to see her perform before her own audience and not play second fiddle to anyone including BGT. Since Diversity won BGT , why do you challenge America to beat Susan? Why do you continue to use Susan Boyle to get ratings for AGT. Let her go,move on. She is bigger than a talent show now. Susan needs her own publicist who works to promote her not BGT or AGT . Its about Susan now.

Canadian Bill, I am with geramsterdam...I immediately noticed the red dress you had put on the Susan icon and I LOVED it!!! Man, I wish they would do that in real life. Though the silver dress is "classy", I would think she would absolutely pop with vibrance in that red. She looked so great in the brown outfit she wore for the semis that I was really disappointed to see her in something which appeared drab in comparison for the finals and this tour.

Tommy, wonderful to have you here. You are the core and though I do not post much, I really appreciate all your hard work.

Teesiel, thank you for finding such fantastic close-ups of Susan at Aberdeen. I am among those who love to see her hairdo, make-up and especially her exquisite facial expressions.

About AGT, my 2 bits (which is not actually worth 2 bits in this economy) is that Susan should decide if it is worth it to her to appear. She will use THEM, not them using HER!!!! It could be that making an appearance in August would be a memory jogger in setting up her CD sales...

The other one is just as big with orange and cream fur; he is a character, and was the alpha male in our household until the gray one came along. The gray came to us fully "intact" and loaded with testosterone. We had 4 cats at the time and he sorted them out in no time!

He reminds me of Susan in that way, "nae cr*p!"

PWattis and HereToday, I agree with you both. I believe, though, that some of the tension that arises between us comes from being jammed into tight little blogs that weren't really meant to hold such a variety of fans as we are. It's almost as if we've been experiencing standing-room only in a tightly packed bus for several weeks. I have faith, though, that our new forum will give us all plenty of space to move around in while allowing others to enjoy their own Susaspace in their own way.

I also hope that our friends who are more comfortable in their own languages will be able to start their own conversations in perfect freedom on the new forum, as long as they adhere to our site standards. Part of the fun of this Susavillage is that we're from many different lands and can enjoy our common bond in Susan, where we had no such bond, before. We have something interesting to talk about with people from other cultures, when we may not have ever had anything particular to say before, to those who seem so different from ourselves.

Susan has opened up our own world to us in a way we've never experienced. We should celebrate our individuality when we come together to celebrate our common bond...Susan!

No fansite can be all things to all people - it would be foolish to expect that. However, we must also bear in mind that everyone benefits from having a little variety in their lives.
