You dreamed a dream, and it's coming true, Susan, Honey! Try to relax, and pray a lot, Susan! The hour will be over one of these days...You did great! We love you so much!

OK, as soon as this is over, switch to ITV2 for an hour: "Stephen Mulhern talks to the finalists. Plus, Ant and Dec give their opnions, the judges share their predictions, and some special guests make a return visit." Then it's back to ITV1 (at 4:30 EDT) for the announcement of the winner. GO SUSAN

Ooooooh we have to wait an hour for the results.... I can't stand the suspense. At least 7 and maybe 8 of the ten could be the winner. Anyone who hasn't voted multiple times, do! The competition is fierce.

It was thrilling to see and hear--------and I know this one will exceed all the YouTube hits of the others put together!! Way to go, Lady Susan!! You proved to all the world that you're a superStar! Oh help, I tried to dial this number from France but it was not recognized. Any help please? I dialled the usual 00 44 9011 32 22 08 which should have gone through but perhaps the lines are saturated. GO SUSAN YOU WERE MARVELLOUS. VOTE SUSAN PLEASE. Hollie is clapping her hands with her little comedy she made yesterday on stage. Screamed and cried when she was refused the second time but was accepted. That was horrid. That was all made up eh!!!

This isn't meant to be negative so please don't think that - I am shaking in my boots praying for her to win! However, I am still very worried about her - she looked way too fragile (even though her fighting spirit showed through once) - I think "we" may have done something to her that "we" had no right to do. And I don't believe the judges meant what they said - I think they are just filled with guilt (appropriately so). Here's hoping her UK friends will come through and dial those phones. She deserves to win regardless of her performance just tonight.

Out of all those acts, and some I don't know how got into finals, but out of all of the, only Susan is one of a kind. All the others could be duplicated and are reminiscent of things we have seen before. Not the same, but similar.

BRAVO, SUSAN!

Like I said on the other blog, my PC didn't quite get all of Susan's performance - ITV was highly disrupted this time, unlike that of Susan's semi.

So ...... thanks, Paul, for this video!

And now, I know why Piers remarked so well for her ....

Wow! She was very dramatic, yet well-controlled, with her arms' gesture, her facial expressions ...

BRAVO!

I'm not saying this cos I'm her fan .... but objectively, that was a HIGHLY PROFESSIONALLY POLISHED PERFORMANCE.

VOTE FOR SUSAN ONLY ! MANY TIMES !

THANKS HEAPS !

Posted by Retired In Flat Broke Kalifornia on May 30, 2009
It was SO considerate for the audience to let US hear Susan sing without screaming interuptions. Her dress was great for the setting - "wild hair," ground fog, solo spotlight - and that WILD head whip! - will be her "trademarks" - forever! BRAVO! Susan, GOD has smiled on you - and us -today!
Posted by RubyRose on May 30, 2009
inspiredbysusan, I agree completely. Yes, she did well, but fragile is the exact word we need, here. And I am so far from wanting to make any negative comment, but I don't think she nailed it. She is wonderful and talented, but she needs some down time. IF ONLY THE VOTERS CAN GET THROUGH SO SHE CAN WIN AS SHE SO DESERVES.

Oh, Lord, please help our Susan!

Dearest Susan, What a wonderful performance...I was watching from the states. I wish the song would have been as long as the audition. I also think that the taped soundtrack was better than the live orchestra. Several of the other performers were very good...but I want you to win. You have had the most public scrutiny and pressure on you. Bless your heart. I will buy your CD as soon as it comes out. The best of luck with your career. Somehow, I think that you will perform for the queen no matter what happens! How could her majesty not want you to sing for her?

SUSAN WAS BRILLIANT! Dunno quite what I was expecting, but she did great! A far better performance than her audition by far! I didn't notice it, but understand there was actualy some 'booing' in the audience, for her? HOW DARE THEY! Even her gown was gorgeous! and she looked lovely, plus dealt with that stationary mic perfectly, so we could see the lighting effects. I didn't even feel nervous for her this time!

Please, UK fans--vote as much as you can for her. After that performance, she really does deserve this!

Tabloids and media idjuts who've been upsetting Susan on purpose this week--nyah nyah nyah! SHE SURE SHOWED YOU!

Posted by Elmie on May 30, 2009
I think just about every person in Britain must have known how terrific she sang in the semi.

I think the strategy -- if she was truly coached to sing in a rather different way from the semi -- is that: If she did it exactly like the semi, it would have been a worn-out piece of artwork.

But the coach knew, I believe, that singing the same song would take the risk of the people's getting fed up, especially the swinging-voters --

thus, the modifications plus her dramatic head-turn and the pounding-down-on-air arms would prove that Susan has the ability to perform - to perform in the real sense of performing not just to the fans but to an art-loving audience. Which is what people expect of performers.

Therefore, I say that the modifications have cancelled any wearing-out image of the first "I Dreamed" ...

It was a performance sooooo good for the fans, because they would vote for her no matter what ...

AND

It was also good for the voters who were just deciding now.

Brava, brava, brava our darling Susan!

It was a marvelous performance, even better, than her audition! You deserve to win! You won our hearts, our love and devotion million times over!!!!! People, who live outside UK, don't vote - don't block the lines, don't prevent as many people at UK, as possible, to vote for our Susan. I don't agree, that she looks fragile. I am a professional musician, and I think, this performance was more polished, than her first one. And I was happy, that she could offer us a different interpretation of this song, not a carbon copy of the first one - she revealed to us in this song even more today, brought more subtle nuances, and was not less convincing, than at the audition, but even more true to the spirit and mood of this song, which IS gloomy, tragic, and fragile. It means, that our beloved Susan will be a fantastic professional singer, who will re-create each time, that she performs, the songs she sings.

You are in our hearts, Susan, you are our star!

Love and million kisses and hugs,

susanwin

I keep remembering that tonights BGT performance for Susan was to get though that last fire hoop unsinged; "Memories" was MUCH more difficult for her pressure-wise, that would have been "sudden death" if she'd really stumbled!

My "fantasy" is if she'd been able to do an encore: "Flashdance (What A Feeling)" is all I fantasize about her!

I am the one that said you guys quit fretting, have FAITH. Susan, has such tremendous concentration when she gets out on stage that she shuts out everything else and concentrates on her song and she just keeps going, and she smiles along the way. I did not depecit any sign of nerves, or stress, maybe a little tired. Susan's own "faith" in herself is what pulled her thru. When you are in competition, it is not just about winning, its giving the very best performance you can. And, that Susan did that...she can be very proud of herself. She was awesome! That's what counts...you have know that you did your very best. When she gets in the professional spotlight, she will be awesome, awesome!
Posted by Mighty Moose on May 30, 2009
I think Susan is such a great ambassador for Great Britain ....she is humble , a quality so rare in people ,and her extraordinary talent is truly a joy to behold . Can't think of anyone better to appear at the Royal Variety .....Go Susan , you are a true winner in every way ,in personality and talent and an inspiration to us all . I wish you every success and will be disgusted if you are not on that stage at the RV show ! Susan ...we love you ! x

Posted by Zan on May 30, 2009
Hey Ivorymist - Like you, I prefer the audition version of 'I Dreamed A Dream' although, of course, I absolutely loved her in the final too. I think we like the first version better because it wasn't carefully coached and her personality and body movements were more carefree. Plus, in the audition, her voice just SOARED...high note after high note. The version in the final was more controlled and she did have better command of the low notes than she did in the audition version, but it was almost as if she were playing the stage role while singing it. I love both versions, but still give the edge to the audition.

Folks have the rights to their own opinions, of course--but why do some feel that Susan didn't 'nail' this tonight, like she did in her audition? I'm curious.

It was a technically superior performance. She hit EVERY note perfectly, no 'losing' of her bottom register this time. She varied her volume and timbre quite a bit, and did it extremely well. There was no 'oversinging' which can cause the extra-wide, out-of-control vibrato. She did NOT sing the whole song full force; is that why some feel she seemed a bit 'subdued'? The big diatonic run-up that perfect fifth which takes enormous breath control was huge and tremendously affective!

I thought this interpretation of the song was wonderful; it's the one I'll be listening to from now on, over and over and over and--well you get the idea. Until Susan's CD comes out of course. Might we even hope for a DVD-CD combo pack? :-D

No matter if she wins this competition or not--ALL the acts did superbly, (some a bit better than others), and it really does come down to each act's fan base, and how they decide to vote.

You know what? They are ALL winners, and I think they all know that.

Susan, I am just so proud of you I could burst right now! You indeed rocked the word, lassie!

What a stunning performance. I agree that Ms. Boyle looked exhausted and, if I may say, sad at the outset, but whatever her physical and emotional state were, they didn't detract from what was a beautiful, heartfelt performance. To my ears, it was superior to her audition, because the emotion was so real. I'm with those who are imploring God to look kindly on Ms. Boyle and help her sail to victory tonight.
Posted by MJ from USA on May 30, 2009
amysole: Susan looked more serious. More into her game. Not like a naive little girl anymore. She absolutely look like a gem. You cant deny that voice of hers. it's absolutely incredibley crystal clear.

Thank you all for those who voted for Susan on behalf of us from around the world. <3

Zan, agree with you here: Two diffent versions, more yet to come, particuarly if she does them live. Yet another hope & dream is to do a free "Susan In Central Park" New York City concert ala the 1981 Simon & Garfunkle "Concert In Central Park" which drew I think well over a half-million folks.
Posted by Bobber2 on May 30, 2009
So one has voted on here 30 X ! LOL ! Well I guess some of the other fans from other contestants do the same thing as well :-) Im not British but I said to my wife that I would want to vote for Susan Boyle if she did good and truly held her own with the other acts which my verdict is YES SHE DID, and in the upcoming future id love to get her CD's [notice I said that plural ?] If she doesn't win this contest though folks lets not be quick to judge all that didn't vote for her as a rejection of her....demographics play a large part in these things...young people will vote for young people, this will vote for this or that will vote for that...keeping my fingers crossed like even Susan was doing...regardless of the outcome people are going to be working with her to establish a good career : )

I was very pleased that Susan did so well. She seemed rather subdued - I wonder if they gave her a little something to calm her down. The poor dear, this has all been too much. Whatever happens tonight she will do very well recording albums. Millions will buy them and I think she will be happy doing that. She just wants to sing, she doesn't want all the other trash which goes along with it. She is much adored by me and millions of others.

Allikat, I agree with you 100% about this performance. Both are unique and represent Susan's journey in this competition. But she really did nail all the notes this time. Bravo! She's going to win, I know it.
Posted by NarnianGirl on May 30, 2009
pardonmeboy - the same thought crossed my mind - she seemed rather 'subdued'. But still, the fire was there when she sang-... It could be she has been adviced to tone down her 'Piercy baby' stuff, for her own sake. I totally identify with her, being a feisty girl myself... and having gone through dreadful abuse and bullying at school :( here is to Susan, patron saint of all those bullied at school! who-hoo--

Posted by tweek on May 30, 2009
susanwin, you very beautifully described her abilities as a professional singer being able to do a different intreptation of the song. You worded it so perfectly. All I know is that Susan did her very best and it sounded great. I also did not see any sign of nerves or stress. She did not seem to smile as much, but her concentration was right on and she did end it dramatically.
Posted by Nancee on May 30, 2009
Actually, I think Susan decided she'd had it with them all. Without makeup, or very little, and without the coiffed hairdo, but in the dress and necklace that had been probably purchased for tonight's performance, she gave a very soft subdued 1st verse of I Dreamed A Dream...Not the vibrant thrilling Susan rendition we had seen in the auditions. Then immediately, she went into the 'tigers come at night' verse, looking only to her right, only giving it her all on the '...turn you dreams to sha-a-a-a-m part'. I thought she had finished and turned to leave. Ammanda was bitting her lip, looking quite distressed. But Susan turned back and belted out the final verse with the sound we love. Right where she wanted to put the emphasis. ...'but there are dreams that cannot be, and storms we cannot weather'. But never once did she smile or seem happy to be there. Then Dec and Ant came out 'how had it been, a long 7 weeks, bla bla bla. She was very gracious and said she had had a good time. Dec or Ant said 'you are comfortable in front of an audience, are you? ' and then she stuck the knife in for the fatal stab at the audience and judges..'course I am, I'm among friends, aren't I?' LOL!!!! Still no fiesty, happy faced Susan. Then Piers heaped on his praise, really thick, and she looked like 'I can't believe these idiots'. He went on and on and the only time she even hinted at a joke was PRETENDING to pet a cat, and when she turned and gobsmacked the back of her head in disbelief at what he was saying. IT WAS PRICELESS, TO SEE THEIR FACES AS THEY TRIED TO SCURRIED TO MAKE IT UP TO HER. Fans, there was nothing, no prayers or candles or anything that we could have done to change things. She had agreed to come back and go back on stage, but she had every intention of sticking it to them the whole time. And she was brilliant. Genius, I might think, to do that. Anyone who thinks our Susan is not smart is crazy. So she can go on and make her millions, and we will get our CD,s, if she hasn't thrown in the towel altogether. And if the tabloids and news shows don't continue to tear her apart, but we know they will, smacking their lips the whole time. But BGT might never be the same!! She let them step in their own shit, and they will not dig themselves out for a long time!!!! Good for you Susan.

Allikat, I agree with you 100%, It is a bit different than the first time ,but after you listen to it a few times you can see its just as excellent. I think it was that the emotion behind the words were different. There was an edge to it. The first time it seemed her tone was bery loving and she smiled a lot. This time it seemed a bit edgy like she was answering her critics( the ugly tabloids).

Well said Allikat - I am pretty sure it was the "live" orchestra (which I wasn't aware was live until I read it here - it seemed to drown her out too much for my unprofessional ears - you obviously are much more schooled - all I wanted was for her to feel proud of herself and show her critics up just as Simon said. Terrie
Posted by NarnianGirl on May 30, 2009
I noticed those comments too - and felt she was being really sarcastic. Well, that is how I feel about the way I have been treated in my life so I can relate... Simon should be ashamed of his attitude, very patronizing and condescending. Well, he can't help it I guess..

My feeling was that Susan was very subdued throughout her performance. Subdued because she's been terribly wounded by a vicious press. When are people going to stop crucifying the innocent. I pray to God she can bounce back from this...she seems, at the moment, to be afraid to be her normal bubbly self

SUSAN, NOW IS THE TIME TO TRUST IN HIM MORE THAN YOU EVER HAVE BEFORE.....YOU CAN MAKE IT....GOD IS ON YOUR SIDE!! GIVE ALL OF YOUR 'JITTERS' TO HIM. Posted by NancyUSA on May 30, 2009
I cried! What feeling Susan put into that song!! Because it was so different from the first time she sang it, folks shouldn't complain. It really came from her soul. The tigers are all the media people beating her up. I love both renditions. I could not get any farther on my computer to hear the judges comments---what did they say? Does Susan have to sing another song? I want a CD so badly!
Posted by inspiredbysusan on May 30, 2009
patriciasart- "weariness" is a great word and i think the less exuberant can be from alot of reasons or mean alot of things. She may also be wary of saying anything to anyone anymore. I also think she may be medicated (as someone suggested earlier- that was my first thought when I saw here). I hope you guys are still voting while us American's are typing - something to do to calm the nerves...

It comes from her heart, the natural beauty of her voice...

Her dream also comes from her heart…

The amazing thing about Susan Boyle is the natural beauty of her voice, but even more amazing is that Susan Boyle appeared on stage as Susan Boyle. She was who she is, no frills and no fuss.

Susan did not need a designer dress, special make up or a fancy hairdo. All that she needed was a talent, a God-given talent. At the outset she was judged, most likely laughed at and jeered by most. Judged by the world’s standards.

I pray for Susan that this world and its standards will not conform her to its ways...

Jesus too was judged by these standards…and they crucified Him.

“And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God.” Romans 12:2

When I listen to Miss Susan and close my eyes I feel like a voice from heaven. She has heavenly voice. Gold bless her !!! I wonder sometime, why such an heavenly voice was discovered earlier. In 1968- 69 a young girl from England named Mary Hopkins' song "Those were the days my friend" was Number one song and that song was continuously playing on Radio. She 16 to 18 year old and used to sing in church. One day some song and music writer was passing by and accidently listened her singing in church. She became world famous with that song. I have her record LP with other song. Susan is the second voice I felt that she has heavenly voice. I am 64 and besides Lata Mangeshkar- the nightangle of Indian music. Susan Boyle and Mary Hopkins felt me that I made trip to heaven when listen their songs.

Well folks, at least she won't have that stress of a winner - but she will still go and have her won career and a great life
Posted by Retired In Flat Broke Kalifornia on May 30, 2009
And now its time to play "EYE OF THE TIGER" - Susan your career has NOW started, free from BGT's control!

I am terribly upset but I am glad she carried through and survived this ordeal. Now. Get her some rest and then a CD for us to buy. She did her best and we love her. Susan, I wish I could give you a big hug now.

Where did Susan place, 2nd???
Posted by Sueandpebbles on May 30, 2009
Gutted. She should have one. I reckon it was that negative press from this week that caused this :-(
Posted by Patricia's Art on May 30, 2009
I'll never watch that show again! Susan was so good. Well at least she got a contract from it!
Posted by USA4Susan on May 30, 2009
SUSAN came in 2nd
Posted by YorkieMama on May 30, 2009
WOW!! What a performance! Each time I hear you sing I am amazed at the talent you have. This performance tonight was a totally different rendition than the first time you performed it. It was more like Elaine Paige's....But Better! You are truly gifted. You can only go up from here. Best wishes in your new career. I hope you do an album soon.
Posted by NarnianGirl on May 30, 2009
Yes YourAwesome - she will be free from the BGT stuff now!!

Not to be mean, but how much do you think the Queen is going to enjoy all the jumping around????
Posted by xeno on May 30, 2009
Susan is a winner, no matter what the vote tally stated. I'm proud of her and I hope she's happy and proud of her performance.

I'm just heartbroken, but that's our Susan to wish them all the best. WE LOVE YOU SUSAN....YOU'RE OUR WINNER!!!!!
Posted by PIGGIE on May 30, 2009
She really looked defeated tonight, like she just wanted to get this overwith and get out of there. I do think she was relieved. I'm probably WAY more disappointed than she is! I still cannot believe people like these dance troupes so much. I can watch it once, and that's it. But I could listen to Susan endlessly.
Posted by Dusky on May 30, 2009
Sad to say that susan is the Runner Up and Diversity hit the tops. If there wasn't this scandal purposely built up for our lovely Susan, she would have won. Bless her. She sang so beautifully.
Posted by YourAwesome on May 30, 2009
DID YOU SEE HER BEAUTIFUL TRUE SMILE...She is AWESOME!!! She is still a winner....Its not first place in a contest that counts....look at her whole life!!! SHE DOESN't disappoint me...now she can breathe and start her career!!! AMEN!
Posted by friendopunkin on May 30, 2009
Susan: It doesn't matter how long it took you. As long as you crossed the finish line, with God's help, you are a victor." Folks, I've gotta be honest. The first smile that came across Susan's face was when she knew she didn't win. I don't think anyone can imagine the pressure this dear woman has been through. I think I will love her always. Fran
Posted by DocRobbie on May 30, 2009
Susan looked grim before the announcement that Diversity had won, and looked relieved afterwards. She smiled and said the that the best act won, even did a little jig! What a great lady.

WELL, AT LEAST MAYBE NOW SHE WILL BE FREE TO SIGN UP WITH A MANAGER AND OR AGENT AND WON'T BE TIED TO BGT. HOPEFULLY, DECENT PEOPLE OUT THERE IN SHOW BUSINESS ARE ALREADY PLANNING TO WORK WITH HER. SHE LOOKED LIKE SHE WAS TREMBLING AT THE LASTY WHEN THEY KEPT DRAGGING IT OUT. SHE NEEDS A LOT OF TLC

I'm still stunned that more people like Diversity than Susan. It just boggles my mind.
Posted by Retired In Flat Broke Kalifornia on May 30, 2009
NO!!! NOW is NOT the time to "feel ill" or give up! Do you think Susan is going back to Bathgate defeated?! GOD no! She's free from ITV. THIS is the time to support Susan - when she didn't win on a British talent contest. NOW is when WE fans think what to do on continuing support for her.

Remember, She is now FREE to pursue her OWN career under NOBODY's control!
Posted by TommyUSA on May 30, 2009
HER FACE LIT UP AND A MILLION POUNDS WAS LIFTED OFF HER.....AND SHE SMILED THAT BEAUTIFUL SMILE FOR ALL OF US......SUSAN, YOU WILL ALWAYS BE THE WINNER!

Susan Boyle is the winner in my book. I'm waiting for her cds. She will perform before the Queen too. Love you, Susan
Posted by NarnianGirl on May 30, 2009
Dance acts have their own fanbase, so it is not surprising Diversity was so popular. This has no effect on Susan's upcoming career - if she still wishes to have one which i hope she does.
Posted by Elmie on May 30, 2009
Diversity probably won because they had a big number of performers whose every number of family and friends made the difference in number ....

Susan was gracious as a runner-up.

And didn't we all see her loving gesture to go to J the third placer and gave him a hug. So sweet and loving, our Susan.

SHE SHOULD HAVE WON.

Don't know how that happened.

Now we wait for the first album. She sure gave it her all. I am disappointed for Susan because I know she wanted to perform before the queen but something tells me she will do that anyway and probably sooner rather than later and she will for sure have financial security and a world of fans from now on and that ain't too shabby.
Posted by Patricia's Art on May 30, 2009
She will probably still get to sing before the queen on another occasion after she sells millions of cds!
Posted by USA4Susan on May 30, 2009
My head hurts from this. I hope she's okay. She was certainly very gracious. I hope she continues to sing for us.

I hope the british tabloids are proud of themselves for destroying the hopes of by far the best talent on the show. I had a bad feeling when Piers said some of the audience was booing when he made his comments and he thought the bad publicity had hurt her. I will never watch BGT again...I have no respect for any of the judges...they are fickle and the british people that voted for the stupid act do not realize what a world-wide sensation they had and still have on their hands. They embarrased themselves by that vote. Do we ever get to find out what the actual votes were? I think Susan lost a lot of her happiness for life this past week after what they did to her and it is outrageous. You can tell I'm pretty mad and shaking so much I can barely type.
Posted by RosesRoses on May 30, 2009
Big voice, big personality, this time reflecting the tough seven weeks, incorporating the experience, frustration and learning that must have gone on. Brava Susan, can hardly wait to hear more. Simon C was right on in his comments. Far more than just a shy girl with her cat!!!
Posted by Retired In Flat Broke Kalifornia on May 30, 2009
TO ALL: Susan WILL have a CD out sooner I think than later. Does ANYBODY think she's just going to disappear on her own? She still has "The Dream" to play before the Queen, and don't be surprised she'll get that Command Performance and it'll be all that sweater!
Posted by TommyUSA on May 30, 2009

I am sad and I am shaking - but in a way relieved that she can go about her career - and what a career it will be. I think she is the most gracious and humble person in show business I have seen. We love you, Susan. Let's get the roses going to Scotland,
Posted by SusanLaura on May 30, 2009
I think the Queen would be touched much more hearing Susan Boyle sing than watching a dance group. Bless you Susan...i will continue to watch videos of you singing every day.
Posted by Patricia's Art on May 30, 2009
I think she is just glad its over. I hope she gets a good rest. She won in my book! All those other acts will be long forgotten but we won't forget Susan Boyle!

It's still a matter of when the CD-DVD will be coming out; probably so all of us can buy it for Christmas!! She has certainly made an international name for herself as a singer and will go on to greater and better things than BGT! It will be interesting the watch her career develop and I would hope this fan site remains active because we have just heard the beginnings from our Susan!!

Posted by jsandelwood on May 30, 2009
She can have a rest, out of the limelight, which she really needs - and then her career will take off. She'll be recording an album - she's just said on itv 2
Posted by DocRobbie on May 30, 2009
Susan repeated that the best performance won. As for her future, she says that she will put out an album, and she will see how goes after that.
Posted by thijko on May 30, 2009
Don't forget it are the young who vote by text again and again and again. We see it here in Holland where always younger ones win over much better but older contestants. It is not fair, but when is life? At least now she is known, has a record deal and will perform all over the world. She won't be lonely anymore - ever.

I CAN EASILY BELIEVE THERE WAS A FIX IN. IN FACT I DO BELIEVE IT. I AM BREAKING TO LET LINDA HAVE THE COMPUTER A WHILE. BACK LATER. I NEED TO BE WITH YOU ALL TO DEAL WITH THIS. AND AS I SAID ON THE OTHER BLOG, START PLANNING THINGS WE CAN DO FOR SUSAN.

Posted by dustycajungirl on May 30, 2009
I only watched this show because of Susan I will not watch it again I had a feeling it was already lined up who would win. By the Judges comments. But no matter Susan is to BIG to let her slide she will fo further than diversity I will put money on it
Posted by Marie Ursula on May 30, 2009
Okay, loving Susan Boyle fans, let's get started. I'm happy for Diversity that they won because, face it, how could a dance act like this ever get famous and ever get gigs without this kind of boost? Lady Susan, on the other hand, has the world waiting for her. The pressure's off in one sense. This was only the beginning, to put her into our loves and lives. So, let's get started by ordering CDs, attending her concerts, etc., etc.
Posted by Retired In Flat Broke Kalifornia on May 30, 2009
Diversity ALREADY history USA4Susan, who outside of the U.K. cares?! Susan is world-wide, haven't seen much of anything about them here in California!
Posted by CowgirlTX on May 30, 2009
well, _ell. the right one didn't win. Susan was very gracious, and she may be a bit relieved. SusanLaura and Danny Mac said it well. I think she'll be treated right and will at least have choices in where she goes. In this moment, i'm really disappointed and sad, but I AM looking forward to her first album. Be well, all.
Posted by MJ from USA on May 30, 2009
damn media targeted Susan. I hate the dancing. There's only one Susan Boyle and she's the TRUE winner in this competition.
Posted by julieoffutt on May 30, 2009
Regardless of the outcome of tonight's final, Susan is #1 in my heart! She sang beautifully. And, if she still needs a personal assistant, I'm available. Susan, your talent is a marvel! The difference is, now you'll be able to decide when, where and for whom you'll chose to sing. God love you! You've done us proud!

NOW LETS DO THAT MONEY FUND FOR HER!!! & ROSES WITH SMARTIES!!! SHE DESERVES TO SEE OUR LOVE!!!

Often the second place winner becomes more popular than the first anyways...which will probably happen!

I so want the Queen to invite her for a private performance!
Posted by OHsunshine100 on May 30, 2009
We should all write to the Queen and ask her to invite Susan to sing for her.
Posted by PIGGIE on May 30, 2009
On American Idol, most of the runner-ups and even lesser winners go on to have much much better careers than the winner! Jennifer Hudson I believe came in fifth, and went on to win a grammy and an Oscar!
Posted by tweek on May 30, 2009
The show's over, I am not happy, but suppose a dance group had to be voted in this time. I am sure Susan is happy as at least she did a great performance and was ahead of the rest. Its unpredictable sometimes. But, she has to be happy about doing her best! Are they doing interviews with the winner now on IV2.
Posted by dustycajungirl on May 30, 2009
Does the second runner up get to perform for the Queen as well??
Posted by Neil37 on May 30, 2009
Youngesters always dominate this kind of show unfortunately. Think in the first series the teenagers wasnt interested so thats why Paul Potts won if he had come along in 2nd or 3rd series now wont have.

Well Simon said some people said she should quit and go to America, well she finnished the show, but big wip,the people didn't come through for her. She should have won!

I think it is GOD's will to let it happened.Susan looked so exhausted on the stage, seems she lost her energy and happiness there. But when she heard the result, She smile and did her cute hip-shakeing.I pray to Lord, to make her rest in his grace, to be close to him. I love u, Susan, you are winner, in my mind always. I look forward to your CD and tour.Hope you can come to Taiwan one day.

Susan, you are the real WINNER here, and you will see more and more of it in the upcoming weeks as you have so many offers and fans everywhere. If the voting tonight was a disappointment, it won't last long. You have gotten yourself an AMAZING CAREER. Right now you are receiving THOUSANDS of HUGS from everybody. Go home and CELEBRATE. YOU ARE A WINNER, GIRL!!! And you looked absolutely gorgeous in that dress and carried yourself as a PERFECT LADY!!! You overcame your adversaries with such GRACE and poise!!! Posted by Starsong on May 30, 2009
What's with the Brits? Or this competition for that matter? The same thing apparently happened last year - the real winner (a wonderful boy soprano) was runner-up and a young male dancer won. Now the same thing happens - why not rename the competition 'Britain's Got Dance Talent' since that's obviously what matters here? And how the heck do you market a dance group like Diversity or the dancer from last year? They will go into oblivion - and I'm sure the Queen is not happy! But I do think that Susan is relieved it's over with. If she still wants to have a career (after all she's been through), it is for sure that she will be a star all over the world when all the rest have fallen into quick oblivion.
Posted by YourAwesome on May 30, 2009

I feel extremely disappointed...m never ever going to watch the show again
Posted by mina on May 30, 2009
said it before, i am very sure that she will perform for the queen, that was her wish when she did her first audition and her carriere will fly off, maybe even bigger as the one from those diversity !!
Posted by Catherine from San Diego on May 30, 2009
The Queen can still ask to see her perform, and no doubt will! Susan has depth, passion and the professionalism to do it.
Posted by delly on May 30, 2009
Ivy, I agree with you. Those dance teams area dime a dozen. No big deal, as far as I'm concerned. I think the Queen will still want Susan to sing for her. Susan is now known throughout the world. She will get her contract and be a star. I am disappointed that she didn't win. I wanted it so much for her.
Posted by BB on May 30, 2009
Susan is still the Winner!!!! Now she can relax and enjoy her success without the pressure. She will become a world wide artist and I for one am so looking forward to her CD when it comes out. Her future will be assured and maybe it has all worked out for the best, things happen for a reason. Susan knows how much she is loved and admired and that will never change. Relax, be happy and enjoy your new life and success that is sure to be yours, love you darling xxx

Simon Cowell can get as snotty as he wants about America (where he's made a fortune), but Susan Boyle is now free to come on over here and get some appreciation and make some money for herself. Pressure's off -- NOW her dream begins!
Posted by Patricia's Art on May 30, 2009
I am so depresssed ,she should have won. What is wrong with those people!
Posted by Bobber2 on May 30, 2009
Good gracious words from Susan at the end that she found the winners very entertaining and wished them all the best. Susan you're to be congratulated placing second was no small accomplishment and you have an international family of friends and fans now around the world.
Posted by ilovsusan on May 30, 2009
she has been robbed of all that she could have done in the past one month..BTG made money at her expense..should have set her free after the first audition
Posted by PWattis on May 30, 2009
I just watched her performance again and I am crying. She is such an artist. She so has what it takes! I'm sad though because when we get to see her perform again?
Posted by fumingjane on May 30, 2009
Everything happens for a reason...we'll have to watch and see. I have no doubt that Susan will be a very successful recording artist, and perhaps even appear on stage! I've preordered on Amazon. Life begins at 48! Well done, Susan.
Posted by American Liz on May 30, 2009
I am so very disappointed that Susan did not win BGT, but she has far from lost. The world has heard a magnificent voice, and she will be able to go on from here to pursue her dream of being a professional singer. Susan, your voice is beyond description; you are a most beautiful singer. ~Elizabeth in the USA
Posted by donnola petrilli on May 30, 2009
Gees - she had already beaten diversity in the semifinals. Definitely blaming this on the tabloids and how Susan was handled by BGT. When she sang, I could see she was smiling through the sadness. They had taken all the joy away for her - just horrible. I'm brokenhearted.
Posted by YourAwesome on May 30, 2009
I just pray now whoever manages her will take care of her!!!! Maybe now this is a true blessing because the media might back off!!!!
Posted by Jorge Aguilo on May 30, 2009
The question is: Where is Susan's first album out??? I think she is the winner...!!!
Posted by Sueandpebbles on May 30, 2009
I reckon she will head home to Blackburn tomorrow where she will be feted like the true winner she is. I too think she was actually relieved not to have won - she was fair trembling whilst they were waiting for the final result and her face lit up when they announced Diversity. They'll be forgotten by this time next year.

I also reckon that Susan will be asked to the 2010 Royal variety performance so she will get to sing for her Queen :-)

Paul Potts was a bit snipey towards Susan today so I'm afraid Paul I have cancelled my order for your CD out on Monday. Nobody disses Susan and reaps rewards from me mate!

Susan's C.D will be out late June early July I reckon :-) Let's get her that £100,000 thro C.D sales.
Posted by inspiredbysusan on May 30, 2009
I almost feel as if 7 weeks ago she was like an innocent child believing what people told her (since most of it apparently had been mean) and taking them at face value - but then, this week, her innocence was broken and as child would do - she's had to grieve the loss of her innocence. I pray that her home town will still embrace her success and celebrate and not shun her for being "only second". I am sad but I was very happy to see the "Real Susan" finally show up at the end. I know I could NOT have handled all the pressure she's been under for the entire time. I also know I despise those judges for their hypocrisy, especially Amanda....
Posted by songbirdwatcher on May 30, 2009
MAYBE NOW THE MEDIA WILL LEAVE SUSAN ALONE & QUIT HOUNDING HER, GOD WORKS IN STRANGE WAYS. AT LEAST SHE IS NOT A QUITTER!!!, I THINK PIERS SHOULDN'T HAVE SAID HE WAS PULLING FOR HER, I THINK IT MADE DIVERCITY FANS VOTE EVEN MORE
Posted by Simsi on May 30, 2009
Susan , you were great , again ... What a voice , what a lady... And you know what , actually you did . Loveya , you ARE and will remain simply the best !
Posted by Retired In Flat Broke Kalifornia on May 30, 2009
Susan is freer now than at any point since her first performance, Brit tabloids want to consign her to obscurity but they've not taken into account that she has a "tight" following! I've lived through from Elvas to The Beatles and beyond in popular music, she's absolutely the most astonishing talent since. At the very least, we can expect to seeing ad-hoc performances by her there in the U.K., better since they'll be on her OWN terms, not those of the BGT people!
Posted by Navyvet on May 30, 2009
OKAY...we shall go on from here to personal appearences, cd's with the voice of our angel...and just give her some room to breath...and clam down from all the bloody stuff she has had to endure...get the press off her door step; let her be and in dribbles send her flowers and wishes!!!

Susan Boyle has won the hearts of the world with her wonderful voice. She is equal to Pavarotti in her talent. She needs to do a CD immediately, so we can enjoy the full range of her talents whenever we have time to listen. I'm looking forward to attending her concert when she does her world tour! Take another bow, Susan!

what's wrong with Britain? they deprived this woman of her dream and made her a loser and continued to deprived her again.
Posted by PWattis on May 30, 2009
And she did seem like this had taken its toll on her.

She gave it her all and was awesome. She is a global inspiration and she is my hero. Now she can go on on her terms. God bless you Susan.
Posted by IvoryMist on May 30, 2009
She can now concentrate on making her album without so much pressure!
Posted by GoodLuckSuze on May 30, 2009
Susan, you don't need to win the show to sing for the queen. She will probably buy a ticket to one of your concerts one day. Just keep singing, and keep believing in yourself. You are a winner in my eyes. Work on picking the songs you want on your future CD's. That will keep you quite busy while everything quiets down.
Posted by acuna on May 30, 2009
I still think you are great and will buy a CD if WHEN you record one xx
Posted by Zan on May 30, 2009
Hey Guys....even though I am still in shock over Susan's 2nd place finish....lets not forget the ROSES! Now, more than ever, we really do need to get a HUGE bouqet sent to her house! You all agree?
Posted by Country Gardens on May 30, 2009
Peace! pressure's off. She can manage her life at her own pace. A great spirit! She's been discovered!
Posted by MJ from USA on May 30, 2009
Susan doesn't deserve Britain. I personally would rather read all things susan boyle and not diversity jumpers. BAH to Britain!
Posted by USAheartland on May 30, 2009
Someone said she already had a contract coming. With whom? Honestly, I think she was relieved. She is a bright woman. I pray that she will have a career beyond what she could imagine.

May the force be with Susan! Ignore everything, embrace everything, sing! Rise above this silly world and its vices and pour your spellbinding voice into the universe.

Me too,I'm devastated ,I'm brokenhearted. Susan is handling it way better than I am! I was so sure she was going to win.
Posted by Elmie on May 30, 2009
The Diversity's dance act will never be my cup of tea.

Hollie was far better.

It looked like the swinging voters perhaps were persuaded by the bad publicity against SUSAN - yes, Jayhawk.

People believed so easily. Typical of this celebrity-madness - to put down those who are loved by many in their beauty and talents.

Posted by YourAwesome on May 30, 2009
WE Prayed and God answered...Susan will be fine...she was so gracious!!! AND she will be having a bright beautiful future!!!
Posted by Neil37 on May 30, 2009
People on here saying shes now free from the show thats not quite true as per usual Simon Cowell likes his pound of flesh! All the finalists got to go on nationwide tour in June so be awhile before Susan can get down to recording her 1st album.
Posted by Mariela on May 30, 2009
We can not say that British got Talent but we can realy say tha British got admiration for what talent is. I would like to see Diversity going to China, Brasil, America, Italy name it...will be just a group that won British got Talent. Let Susan get out of Britan and see what happens.
Posted by NZKiwiFan on May 30, 2009
I have to say that I wept (and still am) when I heard Susan didn't win BGT. Also, I read on the BGT homepage that there were errors when some people phoned their votes in for Susan. They would key in the correct number and when the vote was counted got a message saying: Thank-you for voting for Stavros Flatley! Something is fishy here. The dance group just didn't come up to Susan's standard IMHO.
Posted by Retired In Flat Broke Kalifornia on May 30, 2009
Agreed Navyvet! Time for Susan to relax, go home to celebrate. Bet ya my pension - and it ain't that terribly small - that MORE media folks will be there to see her than those for the BGT winner!

We're at the birth of a NEW phase in Susan's music career, lets enjoy it unfold. Real test is watching the susan-boyle.com member-meter, if it continues to grow, even at a slow rate, she'll still be in the public eye.
Posted by mina on May 30, 2009
the pressure she was under i guess we can not imagne how that must feel, special the last week, so she did an exellent job and like others said, she is free now to start her REAL DREAM,wich came true already weeks ago when she sang the firs time!! YOU GO SUSAN WAITING NOW FOR YOUR CD"S
Posted by dmichael on May 30, 2009
guys i have to say this. her performance was awsome but very choreographed. and now that it is over, i think she wan;t to stick it them bgt and the judges treated her like crap..personally i would have walked simon even stated you could go!!! and as far as diversity dhetto garbage BZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZ the queen is dignified she will not be impressed. the media BZZZZZZZZZZZZ. i think ( in my gut ) susan has enough of this and i do not blame her..... and like streisand IF susan does sing i bet it will be in a studio only!!!!!!!!!!! susan you rocked!!!!!!!! I WILL ALWAYS LOVE YOU!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! lots of support and love from the USA!!!!!!!!!!!!

Posted by gardenator on May 30, 2009
All over the world, millions have been tuned into the show and its outcome, and NOT because of Diversity. But they are the right demographic. Power texting won today.
Posted by Patricia's Art on May 30, 2009
I'm never going to watch that show again! Its a mean spirited show! Those judges words are so insincere. Well at least Susan was able to use them to get world wide fame! Yes Simon she can do better in America and she will!
Posted by Bobber2 on May 30, 2009
Keep in mind something here folks....even a top professional musican with years of experience like Elaine Page and others may have lost agaisnt this good dance team. Alot of the results can come from alot of people are more into dance routine acts then they are singers regardless of who they might be. Anyway Susan well done, well done, we in the world are proud of you :-)

i propose we start a campaign to get her on the royal variety show anyway.

I know on some sites it says the queen has requested susan to perform at the royal variety but this may be fictitious.

nevertheless i think a campaign to get her on the royal variety is an excellent idea

How quickly you all got to the site before me. My brother has just phoned and told me the news. She has not LOST...we musn't think that. I haven't had time to read all the above comments coz my husband's ushering me to get ready to go to a dinner invitation we've had. They won't know who Susan Boyle is....(Canada)..small town....so I wanted to agree with the few I've had chance to read...Everything does happen for a reason. Some of the pressure is off...but I do agree that she has a wonderful career ahead of her. I hope she can relax a little...but I doubt her fans will give her much rest. Don't be angry at the show. That's life. Let's keep following and supporting Susan. Can't wait for the C.D. and the concerts. Hope I get to see her in a live performance one day in the not too distant future. Anne-Marie, Port Dover, Ontario, Canada, formerly of Middlesbrough, North East England, just for those who don't know. You may not even be interested...but there you go! Thanks again to all you hardworking people who brought us videos and photos....please DO NOT STOP.....

I'm here in the States and recoiled in utter amazement when they announced diversity as the winner. What a load of cr*p . I'm sure the queen will enjoy watching 20 cr*ppy dancers. I am LOL at the shallowness of the Brits that voted and at how stupid of them not to vote for Susan Boyle. Diversi-who? is my question. What a farce.

Susan is the winner of the best singing talent. She does not dance, well sometimes her little wiggle. She is the winner in my heart and many more besides me. She is gracious and I can't wait for her to come to the states. She is an amazing person and a voice like an angel. I will purchase her cd as soon as it comes out. I am a little heartbroken but she is still Susan who has many fans. Love you Susan

Amazing performance from Susan today! I haven't been this disappointed since the last Presidential election in America. I fail to see how a troop of 'street dancers' is going to go anywhere at all. As in America, the press seems to rule everything and they made Susan's week pretty miserable. She's still our Queen and has the brightest future ahead of her and I know we'll be hearing a lot from her in the years to come. Waiting to see how much we hear from 'Diversity.'
Posted by Susan43212 on May 30, 2009
Thank you Susan for sharing your talent with the world. Now the pressure if off and you are free to pursue a successful singing career. The experience on BGT has given you name recognition and a taste of what it is like to be famous. Go with your heart's desire and I will support whatever you choose to do with your life. You are a beautiful person and I wish you much happiness in life.

Yes come on folks - it's onwards and upwards now!

Escala came 3rd last year and they have far outpaced the winner and the 2nd placer (neither of whose names I remember!)They said just this week that the show brought them to people's attention and they have been very successful- just as Susan has and will be :-) Keep thinking positively for our girl.
Posted by NarnianGirl on May 30, 2009
MJ she is not a loser - she will have a career without the pressures of being 'the BGT winner'. I agree that God allowed this for a reason - and He knows what's the best for her. I honestly believe that winning the show would have been too much of a pressure. More time in the limelight - whereas now Susan can do things she enjoys and concentrate in her singing.
Posted by YourAwesome on May 30, 2009
Hopefully now she will be able to relax before her career starts!! She needs a break from the media...!!! She is a true trooper....and ready to fly!!!!

Hello MorgantownWV, I second you. The Queen will not quite appreciate all those crazy guys. They're good for the British but THE QUEEN???? I knew these three would be in the finals but I had a 200% thought that our Susan would be crowned. The media purposely destroyed Susans reputation. I'm glad that little capricious brat Hollie didn't get into the grand finals. Anyway Susan was second and saxo was third. God Save the Queen from a shock of her life. She's gotta buckle herself tight and sit right behind. She may get a kick in her face if the guys raise their legs too high!!!! Susan YOU ARE A WINNER IN THE WHOLE WORLD. Thanks for voting and thanks for this fansite. We'll be friends forever here. Susan you brought us together. Love you folks. It's heart breaking but Susan did a great job and you too.
Posted by jsandelwood on May 30, 2009
She was terrific. And you know, there have been so many people being really nasty about her here in there UK. that would have continued had she won. Now they can crawl back into their holes and leave her alone - they'll move on to their next victim. Susan can relax and enjoy her wonderful new career.
Posted by Amelia Indiana on May 30, 2009
Personally the results suck and I'm angry. However, Susan did terrific, won our hearts and her future will be secured with a recording contract. I want the CD now!!!
Posted by mirthcolorado on May 30, 2009
Has she received her card as yet does anyone know?
Posted by BostonAve on May 30, 2009
Susan doesn't need BGT to tell her she is a winner. The world has told her she is a winner and she is going to have a wonderful career. Someone some time ago on this website said they heard Susan had received an invitation from the Queen to sing. Now I don't know if that is true or not, but I cannot imagine HRM not wanting Susan to perform for her. We know she has a contract to do a recording with the Czeck symphony orchestra, and with all the support and love she has received from the world in general, I bet she will make plenty of CDs, DVDs, and money. I love her for being the person she is and she certainly lifted up this old world for a while. I can't believe the Brits preferred a dance group to a real talent, but they did. Not my choice by far. Love you, Susan. We are anxiously awaiting your first CD.

BGT sure sucked everything they could out of Susan at her expense, like a hungry vampire. Holden human gets a gig with NBC, Morgan human gets worldwide notariety, bookie humans now don't pay out big time as another poster pointed out, and now Cowell human has to live down this result for the rest of his career. What a set up at the expense of this wonderful woman. SuBo looked so drained with the weight of the world on her shoulders--really felt for her. Now, that competition is over, i want to speak my mind. They (BGT) took an arrangement that SuBo was comfortable and familiar with, and took her spontneity and energy out of it. Slam me if you wish for this assessment, but I'm slamming the producers and the coaches on BGT, not knocking SuBo's performance. Maybe, it's somekind of control freak thing that BGT coaches had, but SuBo should have been allowed to perform it her way (as during audition, before the BGT vampires got a hold on her). On my kitty bucket list: never watch BGT again, support anything and everything SuBo does in the future, watch when she performs in front of the human Obama human at the White House, attend her concerts when she comes to America. Still love and support her, anybody feel differently, well, don't let the door hit you on the way out. Licks and Lovebites SuBo.

To all: please remember she did miracles with us, now it is our time to retribute. We have to think of something tomorrow. I personally don't trust the judges or ITV, but I might be wrong. I wish she was in America now. The hooligans of the English press are going to be bad as ususal tomorrow. Please keep sending cards to reasure her that she is still very much loved. Thank you

I am so disappointed that Susan did not win the money, but in my book she is the #1 star, and I hope she starts a wonderful public singing career now. Wish I could have voted for her but I am in the US...
Posted by PIGGIE on May 30, 2009
Although I am SO disappointed, and consoling myself with her new career and how she'll be bigger and better etc etc, I'm also thinking now that, look, BGT only became so huge because of Susan. Most of us outside of UK will not be glued to our PCs next season watching. So much for riding on the coattails of Susan, eh, Simon? I sure hope she signs with some other recording company and doesn't continue to make that weasel rich. I really think they did not treat her right, it was the paparazzi that turned people against her at the end. And if she had been protected correctly from the people on the show, that would not have happened. Yeah, where is the Diversity fan club? Ha! A travesty.

Last note from me as it's almost midnite here in France, hope Susan signs contracts immediately and be able to fly to the USA with her adorable PEBBLES. The Americans know to LOVE and APPRECIATE what is beautiful. Good night. The tumult is over. Hope the media will allow Susan to LIVE quietly and not humiliate her. I think Susan purposely showed her legs when the winner was announced. She was hurt by the public votes.

Well... I don't have much faith in call-in Talent Shows anymore...At Least she came in 2nd... to their credit. And we DO KNOW what an exquisite voice Susan has (as a result of her being on the show), so now all we need is a DVD/CD of her singing, and we will just see who is really the best performer, we will vote with our dollars and hopefully Susan will benefit very handsomely from those sales... I can hardly wait... I wonder if Amazon has a waiting list started for when they do come out.

I am sad that Susan didn't win the money and the chance to sing in front of the Queen. However, she looked relieved when Diversity's name was announced! Maybe now she can get some of her life back. She will be recording songs and making lots of money that she truly deserves. Not being the main person in the spotlight may just be the best thing for her. I still the media and press were out to get her this week!

BGT was simply the vehicle for introducing Susan to the world. Her true fans from dozens of countries will continue to support her because it wasn't BGT, or winning it, or anything else, but SUSAN, HERSELF, that has touched us deeply. We will follow the mystery that has moved our hearts. Susan, when are you coming to America for a gentle, kind, inspiring, saucy concert tour?

I wanted to post this when she won as I'd though but will do so now BECAUSE it means more to me know than anything:

Hail, Thy Grand Queen Of Music!

Hail, Thy Master of Light and Sound, whose power, grace and beauty does thee yield none.

Thy bright flowering Thistle, most ancient symbol of Scotland, who sits atop the Irish Shamrock with sisters Leek of Wales and Rose of England standing at her side do rule the Skies Electric today.

Thy Heavenly Lady of Britannia and Hibernia, whose heroes past and present smile approvingly upon thy accomplishments as the World pays homage.

And whose Fame and Glory grows bigger with each passing day!

I love all your ideas and plans to continue our activities that will make SUSAN happy -- one of which is to write to the Queen, asking her to have SUSAN sing for her. It may not be clear as of now whether this is feasible. We'll see, won't we?

Howdy Pards,

Let our hearts be full...now we need to really show our love for Susan. Roses with a tube of "smarties" and a simple message "We Love You." Let's celebrate that we have experienced Susan Boyle...and that we can now eagerly await her CD and, I hope, DVD, and I hope the folks in the West End and on Broadway know a real star when they see one.

I ain't gonna lie, fellers, this loss was tough on all of us who love Susan so much. Every act on that final show was outstanding in my book...so it came down to votes by the British public...and they voted.

Let me say this, if the votes were open to the rest of the world...the results would have been different...and there is no doubt that Susan would have won. None whatsoever.

But, I'm not sure we should start World War III over this. Let's focus on the future...let's continue to celebrate this wonderful lady we have come to know and love.

I think too, that another card expressing our continued support and love for Lady Susan might be in order.

Let's keep our chins up pards...she is still on her way to her dreams. No little contest is gonna put an end to that dream.

Reckon I'm still a fan of Susan Boyle...reckon I always will be. How about you fellers?

Adios for now. Talk to ya on down the trail.

Oh and don't forget that a MOVIE will probably be done on her life, I bet!!!! Susan, hope you can decompress for a few weeks, cuddle the cat, and rest up for your world wide fans and the fame that lies ahead. The 100 grand she didn't win will be chump change once Susan gets done. I just hope Susan gets good advice from some honest and savvy managers that aren't just out to use her.
Posted by chellefan on May 30, 2009
Diversity may have won a talent show, but Susan has won the hearts of people all over the world. Her audition was the performance and the voice heard around the world, and no one can ever take that away from her.

I actually believe she wanted someone else to win. The relief was written all over her face when Diversity won. Had she won, she'd have media wolves hunting her 24/7, and she would never again be able to enjoy a moment of solitude again. Now the pressure is off and she can do what she wanted to do all along - share her beautiful voice with the world. Only now she can do it on her own terms. (And I'd bet everything I own that she WILL get to sing for the Queen).

Susan, God bless you. For a brief, shining moment, you united a world that had become cynical and jaded. I will never forget the first or the hundredth time I watched your performance with tears just streaming down my face. I'll never forget how you made my dad, a gruff ex-marine, call me in tears after I insisted he watch the video. Your story, your voice and your belief in that long-held dream has touched people in so many ways.

According to the song, "there are dreams that cannot be." Well, that may be true, but not in your case. Your dream is just beginning.

You GO girl!
Posted by dyebat on May 30, 2009
I read somewhere yesterday that her brother was starting up a talent management business, which might include recordings. So he just might get her CD out instead of Simon. And faster. And keep the money in Scotland, rather than sending it off to Simon.

Susan is the most gracious person. She amazes me.

Now, will one of you good people tell me how you go to Amazon and pre-order a CD? I've not heard of this before but it makes sense if a ton of us do that, that would demonstrate the demand and as we know, there is always going to be a supply if there is a great demand.

I DEMAND a Susan CD!!!

What can we do to show Susan that the results are not an accurate outcome of Global sentiment. If the entire world had been able to vote, Susan would have won by a phenomenal landslide. It's just incomprehensible to me that after that performance she took Number 2 - not shabby, but she deserved No. 1. Did the rose votes go through to her? Will the fan club consider doing it again? Just thinking that after the BGT Tour, it might be a nice welcome home to Blackburn for her.

I am also stunned that Susan did not win by votes . There are some who said they battled to get through on their phones. We had idols running in SA where the sms's hung for quite a few days and the wrong person won. Only a week or so later did MTN , the carrier come out with the truth . Jason was appointed the winner but the judges decided that they will share the first place and the "winner" could keep her prize money. In the end there were twohundred thousand votes hanging. I would not be surprised if there are votes not counted .

i just had an awful thought, were the people in blackburn calling in to vote for Susan or were they at the party unable to vote in?????

it broke my heart to see her demeanor today...compared to the other two times.....makes me sick.......can't wait for her to get going.........in six mos. she will not remember who or what BGT was or is!
Posted by soosee on May 30, 2009
Great idea, I think she should be on the variety show anyway, I'm sure the Queen wants to see her too. I tried over and over to vote and couldn't get through. I think you were great Susan you sung just brilliantly.

I have nothing against dance groups, but gee whiz, this is a little rediculous.

A bunch of young kids voted them through. Maybe Simon should rethink his format, and have a show for "the arts", and a show for the pop stuff.
Posted by calford on May 30, 2009
ant and dec said they thought susan would be the winner....
Posted by mdillow31 on May 30, 2009
Susan still is the winner for the following reasons:

i. Diversity only has so many venues they can play at.

ii. Susan has an upcoming recording contract and possibly a movie to her life.

iii. Susan can appear in many more venues than Diversity can such as theatrical appearances and making CD's.

Susan still has a carrer waiting for her. Now for the other:

i. It is very clear that Susan was not over what the media had done to her. I don't think she wanted to be there. They hurt her like others have hurt her all of her life.

ii. I think we all noticed that she was speaking to someone in the crowd and made the statenment , " I am among FRIENDS ?." She clearly has been hurt.

iii. Our Susan Boyle Fan Club should not disband. We need to stay together for Susan and her future.

iv. In the States the runner up has often become No. ! because they had better opportunities than the winner. This is the case with Susan.

Folk, it ain't over. Susan will have deals coming up wether it is with Simon or another agent. We need to continue to stick with her and not disband this fan club. I am disappointed also that she didn't take 1st place but Susan has touched hearts all over the world.

BGT controlled her too much. They should have let Susan be Susan as she was in her audition. Last but not least, thank you to everyone who voted for us that could not vote and than you to the ones who helped all of us to see Susan live. Kudos to all of you. :)

And finally, thanks to Piers for saying Susan was the winner.

Something was definitely off with this show. I even noticed that whenever they did the recap of all the finalists, Susan got fewer seconds than any of the others!!!
Posted by jayhawk fan on May 30, 2009
You guys I just heard a promo for Geraldo show tonight on Fox that Piers is going to be his special guest. He sure is getting a lot of face time due to latching onto Susan and personally I think that when she heard him saying that the other singer was the best so far it hurt her feelings and probably started a lot of her problems.. he flirted with her and with someone naive like Susan she probably had a lot of problems with especially this comment. All those people owe their "fame" to her. We should definitely send the flowers soon and I only hope she gets some of her innocence back.
Posted by Kalua on May 30, 2009
Well i think that now is the moment to send her those thousand of roses, to show her how many friends she has. and how she has won ours hearts.

So think about it!!!
Posted by christie210 on May 30, 2009
I think BGT was good to Susan. I loved their wonderful comments to her at the end. She is a winner and will have TONS of opportunities. She did not get beat by a singer!!! I am very happy for that. She sang the song softer, and oh so beautifully. Everyone, especially the judges, saw her come into her own and sing this song as she shouse have...with hurt, identity, a strong will, and with so much feeling. I can't wait to see how she does in the future. I am just floored by the results...but she will come on top of all of this. 2nd place is wonderful...but I absolutely thought she had it.

Susan was wonderful. It doesn't matter if she won or not. Taylor Hicks from American Idol, anyone? Fantasia Barrino? They both won and where are they now? In the meantime, Chris Daughtry lost and his career has surpassed theirs. Susan will surpass Diversity.

Posted by mimi2 on May 30, 2009
Susan clearly had the real TALENT here. While Diversity is enjoyable to watch, a lot of it was "smoke and mirrors," relying on special effects (confetti, sound effects, lights, etc). No doubt the British "younger set" played a role in the voting, and by FAR they do not represent the entire WORLD. Susan won the HEARTS of people AROUND THE GLOBE. She displayed so much GRACE and POISE in the face of her adversaries and good sportsmanship at the results in the face of a lot more PRESSURE than any of the other contestants had to deal with.

To me, GOD shined through SUSAN tonight, and she was a shining star. The ENTIRE WORLD was watching, and I'm 100% most people around the planet chose SUSAN as #1 by a LANDSLIDE. When she goes home and sees herself on the video, she'll know. The disappointment WON'T LAST LONG, as she has already started her career. If Diversity got $100,000 and a performance for the Queen, SUSAN will shoot way past that as soon as she starts producing albums, and I surely hope the QUEEN OF ENGLAND has the GOOD SENSE to INVITE SUSAN BOYLE TO SING FOR HER.

WE'RE ALL WAITING WITH BATED BREATH FOR THAT FIRST CD TO COME OUT, MS BOYLE :)

Hi, just popping into say I was very upset that Susan did not win. Believe me I voted for her numerous times, but I am unsure how many votes were counted. Both from the mobile and at the landline I phoned. I also noted that Susan didn't get the same sort of coverage others did and Simon was very non-committal. I hope Susan proves that she is the real winner and am so thoroughly disappointed that "Diversity" won. They were good, but not better than Susan. To me although she sang the song extremely well and I loved how she performed under this pressure, she seemed to come across as sad and it upset me.

Please let us send her flowers - I think this wonderful lady deserves it.

I hope Scotland hammered those votes in for her and that the media attention moves from her now and excuses her antics at the end of today's performance. I hope they leave her to enjoy her life now and fulfill her dreams.

I'm celebrating. Because Susan gave an amazing performance in spite of the pressure. Susan has brought the world to this feast of talent. She's got so much ahead of her, as do we all. So let's celebrate, shall we? If you think it's simply about winning, then I'm afraid you've missed the point.

I'm happy. Susan brings me joy. Diversity makes me smile. Julian makes me sigh. I've indeed had the time of my life.

And I must say, Susan was incredibly gracious as the runner up. And I too, want to be as gracious. Congratulations Diversity.

At least she maybe released from these silly contracts they have in this absolute silliness of a show. I hope they don't take her to the live tour they were talking about. Her voice is incomprable to anything we have heard for years. I hope she has nothing to do with the show any more, goes to record a record a with whatever coaching she had before the show started controling her and delights the soul of everyone on the planet. The sooner she is done with these evil people on the show who obviously think they control everyone and everything the better. I cannot beleive they had people from the show staying in her house and yet it is true. Simon Callow said you had the choice to walk away. Maybe someone shoud start talking about the contracts people sign when they get on the show. And if any of these messages get to Susan Boyle: Ms Boyle, please, please, please believe us. The media's passing fancies do not reflect the genuine reverence the fans hold for your voice and singing. Talent like this does not come to everyone. A lot of people know that these shows are completely staged and there are three screenings at least before the judges see the contestants. People have been moved by the strength of your talent. The sooner you get rid of these evil people on the show the better and then you can have a record deal with serious people who take you seriously and don't look at you as a cash machine. Yes you are bigger than the show and the show is a complete irrelevance in comparison to your talent. Just don't hide your talent any more. Give your audience the chance to support you. Not this silly show.

Yes willytoes, Congratulations to Diversity, they'd appealed to the BGT demographic. Susan Boyle's appeal isn't just in the U.K. but international of the kind reserved for "unknowns" like Chuck Berry in the 1950s who did much for the careers of ANY number of white artists, Beatles included! Why else would any of us be wasting time typing entries on this website?!

Err hit the wrong button- not as fast and accurate as all those kids voting for the dance act.

Do not despair, you have seen disappointment in your life; You now approach a different part of your life. One where you will bring hope and joy to countless of the world. One where you will elevate grace and humbleness to heights it has never seen.

One in which you will glorify all the good you have done in this world, just by being true to yourself.

We belive in you Susan. Peace be with you!!!

Susan's got it all, but for the bragging rights. She will more than make up the money VERY soon. She will perform before the Queen sooner than you think (think Liz really wants to see Street Dance? NOT) She is already more famous than Elaine Paige, & will record duets with her & Donny Osmond (This Merikan says LOL!!! to that) She has made people happy, in spades. She is ACCEPTED by the world, and is and has been WORTH more than she will ever know. She has brought people together like she could never have imagined. Hopefully this gets the media off her butt, so she can go out & do her thing.

GOOD ON YOU, SUSAN, THANKS FOR THE WILD RIDE, AND CONGRATULATIONS! We will be seeing a LOT more of you in the near future.

Thanks to all of you on this site for the comeraderie of the past few weeks. If I were to actually join a fan site, I can't think of a better one than this.

Paul post a video of the party. I got a note from your office about the flower link, but I still cannot figure out how to order just single roses, which is what I was told I should do. Please give us instructions regarding flowers. Or, anything else, you want help with?

Most of us are deliriously upset she did not win the whole thing but she can be very proud of herself and most of all she will have a very happy life now, holding her head up high, not to mention a successful career.
Posted by inspiredbysusan on May 30, 2009
I agree that we need to come up with a plan (or if one has been decided we need to make sure everyone knows about it) to make sure we send her our live love (like the roses or cards) now so she doesn't think everyone has abandoned her. This is the pits but we need to focus on her more than on how we (I) feel.

Let none of us forget: "When God closes a door, He opens a window." Many doors and windows will open for Susan. She has a voice that opens the soul. I just hope she knows how much we love her and wish her well and wish her peace - lots of peace. She has to realize - inside - just how really special and unique she is. She has nothing to prove anymore.
Posted by willangel79 on May 30, 2009
It is funny how the headlines mentions Susan Boyle being second to a dance group... That just means it is still the sroty of Susan that is prominent than that of the real winner. Susan brought million of audiences around the world. BGT and ITV producers should be thankful to her.
Posted by Kirsti from Finland on May 30, 2009
Did you notice that the TEMPO was not the same as in the first performance? It was too quick this time and did not do credit to her beautiful voice. Very strange. I think that she was dispirited, too, not at her best. This has been a very hard time for her and of course also for the other contestants.

Well, I don't think that the most important thing is to win this kind of competition. It is not necessarily the best one who wins. It depends entirely in what mood people are at the moment. And the mood seems to change very quickly for the good or for the bad, as we have seen.

The important thing is that Susan won herself! She had the courage to go to BGT, she did her best and gave us all a wonderful time! She gave us all inspiration, hope and courage! What more can a person give to the world?

She will be a professional singer! Her dreams will come true! And now she needs us, her fans more than ever! We are all waiting for her cd! Let's not let her down!

Susan will go on to be more sucessful than any of these plastic two bit presenters.I too in a funny kind of way am glad that Susan didnt win...I dont think she really wanted the hassle of it all....more reporters camped on her doorstep.

Relax now Suzy B and wait the for the money...its on its way for sure coz u have more fans already than any of these flash in the pan botox queens

I, too, noticed that Susan looked rather defeated, as she stood there amongst the top 3 acts awaiting the voters' decisions, and then she looked downright scared after Julian was named third. It seemed as though she WAS kinda relieved that Diversity was put through in first place, and she became the runner-up--I thought it was only my imagination until I read another comment here which seems similar. She certainly was gracious to them.

Hmm--interesting isn't it? Susan came first over Diversity in the Semifinals, with a performance which wasn't even as good as tonight's, yet Diversity's 'odds' after that were quite good at the bookmakers. Susan was the odds-on favourite to win the competition until yesterday, when her odds became dead even. Guess what Diversity's odds were, as they won today? 20/1! Methinks the bookmakers may have done a WHOLE lot of voting--they stood to lose a lot, since Diversity's odds got stretched out so much. I find that part of the situation downright amusing, even as I'm feeling sad that the voting obviously didn't go as it should have...or I'll say, would have, if all the negative events surrounding and pummeling Susan this past entire week had simply never happened. The little 'backlash' plot worked--but only up to a point.

Susan has won the hearts of millions throughout the world, and I wish her a happy and fruitful career! Somehow, we gotta get something done, about the flowers, etc...and more messages, whatever. I'll be looking to this site for the best way to handle all that.
Posted by Retired In Flat Broke Kalifornia on May 30, 2009

Scottish, johnnycake, Tommy and SusanBoyleFan stand out right now, only because, I'm getting teary eyed, and concentrating on typing rather than people I've met, but it's been a fantastic seven weeks, I want to say let's keep it going, Susan's only starting, there's tons to come yet.

Like all you here. Im a bit gutted too at the result. But will Diversity sell a multi platinum Album & DVD worldwide which could even be No1 in America, have sell-out concerts outside the UK? I Think NOT! I reckon they will be yesterdays news by next month and Susan will be a star even more than the one she is now.
Posted by HAPPYBRIT on May 30, 2009
I find it so hard to believe that Susan didn't get massively more votes than any other act. I'm wondering if a prior decision was made about the winner in order to get the media and critics (damn them)to back away from Susan for a while and give her some much needed breathing space. The pressure on her has been ridiculous though much of it well meant. Unfortunately it's Sod's Law that a few nasty comments can leave a greater impression on a sensitive soul than heaps of adulation. Maybe Susan agreed to a second place arrangement so she can stay in control of her own life rather than have it taken over by outside interests. "Diversity" is a very good act but will produce only polite interest from Her Maj.whose favourite musical entertainment is show tunes apparently. I wouldn't be surprised if Susan gets a personal invitation to perform before the royal family during its summer holiday at Balmoral Castle in Scotland. Susan deserved to win BGT but hasn't needed to since her first performance hit Youtube. International fame & fortune are assured if she wants them but I hope she takes things steadily. Diversity's fame will probably be limited and temporary though I wish them well while it lasts. With that group apparently winning, BGT gets two star turns for the price of one. HOWEVER...if I'm talking ***p about the "fix" then my country needs its arse kicking tonight.
Posted by GoodLuckSuze on May 30, 2009
ANOTHER IDEA--HOLD OFF ON THE FLOWERS GUYS ! One can only take so many flowers, why not send them to the karaoke bar where she sings (with a note they are in HER honor) likewise to the mayor of the town, etc. etc. Maybe they have a senior home or a hospital or something else in West Lothian. Assume Susan will get 150-500 bouquets, and someone will have to deal with that for her--- there's other small gifts, but I think the homemade ones are best. I wish I could sew, I would make a QUILT of LOVE for Susan, each square made by one of her fans and signed. That way maybe our love and support would give her strength when she feels down. Nothing like a warm snuggly quilt. Especially one made just for you.

I am crying and very disheartened. Yes, Susan was being robbed!! She beat Diversity in the semi final through public vote. And Diversity was voted in by the 3 judges verdict. The press are to be blamed for trying to run her down the last 2 days before her big day. Susan is a great, humble, beautiful and wonderful lady. She has a great future ahead of her. Good for her now that she is free and can concentrate on her career. She'll be a successful recording artiste. Millions of fans are now waiting for her 1st album. Congratulations Susan for being the 1st runnerup. Whatever it is, you are still a winner and our darling. We'll support you all the way and buy your CDs. Forget about the incident that happened in the past few days. These are all evil thoughts and jealousy trying to distract you so that you cannot sing well in the final. But you did well and show to your bullies that they cant win over you. Just concentrate on your career. Thank you for your beautiful singing and for bringing the world together. We'll remember you forever that it was you who made BGT famous instantly overnight throughout the world. Without which BGT was only known in UK. The impact you made is so great. You brought us joy and happiness. The contestants who took part along side with you in this year's 2009 BGT competition together with the 3 judges of BGT, Simon Cowell, Amanda Holden and Piers Morgan, hosts Ant and Dec and BGT show productions are the lucky people that you had put their names on the world map. Each and everyone of them owe these to you. Well done Susan. BRAVO!! All the best in your future undertakings. Take care. God bless you abundantly and keep you safe! Lots of hugs and kisses.

Congratulations to Susan! What a fantastic performance and classy new interpretation of the song. 2'nd place is a great result with less pressure. Best hopes for a bright future for wonderful Susan. Greetings from Denmark.

As many of you are, I'm very saddened that Susan didn't win but I was relieved to see that she was relieved. When she smiled her smile as soon as the winner was announced I knew that she felt better and was happy it was over. She was her gracious self and can now get on with her life. I'm sure if there's anyway that we can support her, we will. I'm looking forward to hearing a lot more from Susan in whatever venue makes her happy and hearing her sing with the awesome voice that she has.

This is just conjecture, but I think BGT producers literally begged SuBo not to leave before the final, not for her sake, but for the self-serving sake of the show and its ratings. They would have lost scores of millions of viewers and their reputation, currently on shaky ground, would have been utterly demolished. They owe you big time SuBo for saving their cajones. And, I concur with all of you--like the human Yogi Berra said, it ain't over, till it's over. This is the start of a bright future for you SuBo, the dark has lifted and the sun is casting away shadows. Hope to see you soon. Licks & Lovebites to y'all (after all I'm a Texas kitty)

Good thoughts GoodLuckSuze

Why don't we raise money for her favorite charity. She does do volunteer/charity work doesn't she. Let's support Susan as Susan, not the celebrity.

Another couple of thoughts: Susan's now a big enough star to merit a Royal Variety Show appearance in her own right. The organisers would be mad not to invite her especially as the show's in Scotland. The members of Diversity are good role models for an often maligned section of society so since Susan didn't win I'm glad they did.

Having some time to think about it....wasn't the time limit for voting in the semis much shorter? Voting tonight was over an hour. Kids are going to vote that long, most adults are not. Just a theory.
Posted by Nancee on May 30, 2009
I may be wrong, but PERHAPS..., PERHAPS she sang the song like she really felt, after the way they had treated her. Not smiling or looking at the audience, judges, etc. Then she stuck it to them again and again during the judges' comments session. Still out of breath, She wanted to thank everyone, especially those at HOME (UK)and in the audience (including the judges), for ALL THEIR SUPPORT!!!. The only time she seemed enthused was when she said she really enjoyed IT a lot. Yes, she really enjoyed it a lot tonight, because she was telling them how she felt, and was watching them squirm. Did you see Simon's and Amanda face during the performance?

"Comfortable in front of an audience, course I am, I'm among FRIENDS, AREN'T I? she quipped to the audience and judges, sticking the knife in a little deeper... but they still didn't ALL get it, and MY GOD, HOW WERE THEY GOING TO PULL THEMSELVES AND BGT OUT OF THIS?

Then she really got to enjoy watching them wallow in it .. looking at them in disbelief that they could be fawning all over her and saying those things, when she knew she had already started cutting, and they were too stupid to realize it and quietly bleed out.

Watch her face throughout...where her eyes are, and her expression when she does bother to respond or to speak to them. Damn right she enjoyed it, every bit of it. And so did I, and I hope BGT and the all those nonsupporting Brits never get over it, once they realize it! Maybe they will shut some of those tabloids down and start treating each other a little nicer. Maybe the whole world will!

So our brilliant little Susan had the last laugh, but with her own brand of a bit of Scottish irony. She knew exactly what she was doing, from the moment she walked out on stage. THEY killed the dream she dreamed...thank you very much. Quite a talented lass, I'd say. Yes, ..bordering on GENIUS.

Her relief when she didn't win .. well, if she had won, then no one GOT IT!!!

My second comment: Susan, actually you are the winner and number ONE of the singers, because your performance and the performance of Diversity, you can NOT compair this. They won as a dancegroup, you won as a solo singer. Don't forget that. You are unforgettable and give Pebbles a big hug from me if you comes home. azalaia from Amsterdam Holland.

Susan, you rock! You rule! Great performance and gracious remarks from you today.
Posted by USAheartland on May 30, 2009
I think we have to also take into account that England has something close to ten times the population of Scotland.

Plus the number of the group Diversity, how ever many members there were; that was like 8 or 10 networks of people. Were they from England or Wales or what?
Posted by inspiredbysusan on May 30, 2009
Just a simple research job..LOL. searched Google for "Susan Boyle" - 17,700,000 entries (no, I didn't check them all) searched Google for "Diversity" - yes, there were 70 million BUT only 3 for the Dance Group (there may have been more on pages later in the search but in the first couple of pages, that's all they had THREE - so, tell me who "won" again? You guys rock!!!

Even thought Susan didn't win the big prize of the night...she end up being the biggest winner of all. It was a hard thing to do. I agree with another person that posted, Susan will sing for the Queen and in a very classy performance, not in a circus variety show. Here in California USA we are totaly taken with Susan Boyle! She has our hearts and frienship. Thank You Susan for coming into our lives. Also, Thank you to the person that gave the live show info. We watched the whole thing! What a thrill....love british TV.

I want to thank Paul and all of you for helping me over the "let down" (would have been there even if she had placed first - the buildup has just been amazing). If you all hadn't been here I would have been alone and had to deal with my emotions by myself. Thanks to all of you - and I know I speak for most on here - America LOVES and ADOPTS Susan Boyle!

We will also be fans forever- for sure!! Love Susan dearly. We dream of Susan performing in the Netherlands, and us sitting front row...wow...in the meantime we'll buy her CD's! Ger&Chris A'dam/Neth.

Thanks all of you for most insightful comments about BGT finals outcome. Its given me an instructional perspective on human behavior, often distasteful. SuBo, although the target of taunts, probably had never experienced the crap of the last couple of weeks ever in her life. HappyBrit, when does the arse kicking start? Count me in. Am going to write my congressmen and ask them to ask Obama human to invite SuBo to perform at the White House. Lets get a deluge going. Also, am willing to contribute to a SuBo fund to help her with expenses. 2nd place doesn't diminish SuBo's stature in any way, and could be a blessing in disguise. Maybe the nonstop feeding frenzy will abate for a while and she can regain the happiness she showed on the audition tape and in the early days. She'll have more time to spend with her family and Pebbles, and her relatives. We all want to see that sparkle and charm back on her face again, don't we. Licks & Lovebites to you.

Susan Boyle may not have won the competition, but she did inspire people all over the globe over 200 million hits on YouTube. She has grace, humility and charisma. GO SUSAN GO! She'll be the first British Act to have cracked the North American Market even before she's begun her music career. Way to go Susan!!!!

Seeing Canada Day and the Fourth of July are close together I think the two leaders of Canada, and the US should get together and have Susan come and sing for the Canadian and US! To help us celebrate our respective country birthdays.

The media is known for loving to tear people down and why anyone with any common sense would believe any of the garbage printed by the media is beyond me. I believe they hurt her in this final competition. I am saddened beyond belief that she did not win. She sang beautifully. Susan will continue to be LOVED all across the WORLD. I LOVE YOU SUSAN and in my eyes, you lost nothing. You are a shining star!!!!!! Well done Susan!!!!! I am soooo proud of you!!!!!! America LOVES you!!!!!!!!!!!!

I am royall ticked off that Susan didn't get the win she deserved. I will NEVER feel the same about our British ancestors again. How could they possibly choose anyone over Susan? Those dancers were not even close to being as good as Susan - nobody was. My only consolation is that it wasn't another singer who won. Susan is the best, the very best. How could ANYONE not see that.

Hi Everyone & Hi cute little Rat :) I am with ya there, I will never get into BGT shows again either, nor American Idol either, most of the time the best does not win, and it is very disturbing. I do love AGT tho, and I don't know if I can stop watching it, even tho I have been very upset with it at times too, but, they have so many great acts on that I don't think I can quit that one :( I was happy when Terry Bator won, he really was great and he is who I was rooting for and I didn't think he would win because I figured most would think puppets childish, but, he was awesome, so he DID WIN - YAY!! :D
Posted by barble on May 30, 2009
Well Iv just watched Diversity and still cant believe that they bet Susan! In saying that I congratulate them for their win. Still say it should have been Susan. Now maybe she can have some peace from the press. Susan you are still our angel, and I will be buying all your CDs To all of us here YOU ARE OUR WINNER!

Posted by shammy on May 30, 2009
I think when all is said and done Diversity will be a fleeting moment. When you look at all of the stars around the world, I know of NOT ONE dance act. Susan will be here for a very long time and I'm sorry Diversity fans, they will not be. Susan was sooo much better than they were. Thier act was not even close to Susan.
Posted by JJ :) on May 30, 2009
I think they cheated, and did it deliberately (but not Piers) When Simon said he didn't think she can take the heat, I got very scared right then :( I was scared for her anyway, but, more after he said that ;/
Posted by mdillow31 on May 30, 2009
One thing to remember is that Susan won over all of the suingers. She was NO ! in that ccategoty. There is an upcomimg record conteact and movie rights to her lofe. Catherine Zeta-Jones is interested in buying it and in playing Susan's part.. besides Simon who I do not care for.. plus Donnie Osmond invited Susan to come to Las Vegas before the finals as he has been Susan's idol since childhood and she accepted. And Susan can make many CD's. This is stuff Diversity can't do. So in the end Susan Boyle is still the winner !! This isn't over folks. Not by a long shot.

Posted by mdillow31 on May 30, 2009
I agree with evrything Lovebites has said. Also, I want to repost his because we really need to think about all of this. I am not a quitter and neither is Susan.

I was just at BGT. The Comment section is for Susan mostly. They are even questioning the vote and claiming it was rigged. So BGT will be reading that. Most are saying Susan should have won and where is Diversity going to play.. not many places... and everyone is waiting to buy Susan's CD's and go to her appearances. Before this is over Susan Boyle will be number 1. :)

My heart goes out to Susan. I will never understand why some people enjoy being cruel simply for joy the of hurting another person. Anything for the almighty pound, I guess.

Susan, you would warmly welcomed here in the United States and without the negativity. Had we in the United States been able to vote, you would have won hands down. As Simon Cowell said, "you can your head up high," because I believe great things lie ahead if don't cave in to the unbelievably vicious and unwarranted press you've gotten. Here's hoping to see a DVD out soon. We would love to see you in concert too. You would be warmly welcomed in Tampa Bay, Florida.

We still love you and we are looking forward to hearing much, much more from Susan Boyle.

Here's a thought: There are over 20,000 members of Susan's fan club. If everyone registers on Amazon.com for her upcoming CD it would be a big help to her, not only financially but emotionally too. It's easy to do, and they already have a space set aside for her. Also, we can play her video on Youtube constantly to get the numbers up there. Also, here's her address: 37 Yule Terrace, Blackburn, West Lothian, Scotland EH47 7LZ. I think we should keep the cards going to her, lest she think we have forgotten her. SUSAN IS WONDERFUL!!!!!

IMPORTANT NEWS FOR SUSAN: INVESTIGATION OF BGT FINALS"

I just listened to Brian Williams nightly newscast on NBC. It showed part of the final with Susan singing and her in the clinic The most important part of what Brian said... INVESTIGATION.. ENQUIRY....there were a lot of viewer complaints saying SUSAN was exploited for the sales and ratings.

I think BGT is in big trouble. Susan had her bags packed wanting t go home before Piers and Simon talked her out of it.

SO WE SHOULD DEMAND A RE-VOTE !

THIS IS PASTED FROM AOL THIS MORNING !! British broadcasters ITV were aware of the videos' existence - though ostensibly not the incorrect numbers - but allowed the clips to stay up to increase advertising ratings. An ITV spokesperson said, "The voting lines for the finalists were clearly displayed and read out after each act had performed in the final, with further calls to action for all of the acts at four further points in the evening." Skip over this content "We are satisfied viewers had ample opportunity to know which voting numbers to call. We are not responsible for any phone numbers which may have been posted on unofficial websites." YouTube confirmed that it had not taken down the videos as ITV accepted them for 'promotional reasons'. The video-sharing site is partially responsible for Susan Boyle's global fame - clips of the Scottish singer have been viewed by millions of users, many of whom have never seen an episode of the British talent competition.

Susan Boyle... Foiled by YouTube? PopEater posted: 22 HOURS 21 MINUTES AGOcomments: 191filed under: Music News, TV NewsPrintShareText SizeAAAWith a 4.7 percent difference in votes between 'Britain's Got Talent' winners Diversity and their more famous runner-up Susan Boyle, the Daily Mail now suggests that something as simple as a wrong number on YouTube clips may have done in the presumed front-runner Boyle. Immediately after Boyle's performance in the 'Talent' finals Saturday night, unofficial video clips were uploaded to YouTube, apparently containing incorrect phone numbers that mislead hundreds of Boyle's voting fans. The last two digits of Boyle's voting number appearing in the clips had been changed from the correct '08' to either '07' or '09' - the numbers for dance group Diversity and singer Shaun Smith.

I love everything about this fansite. Thank you all letting us come here and enjoy and share in the joy that is Susan Boyle.

This is pretty much what the Daily Mail Online said today, though I have lots of distrust for any articles these days.

"Susan Boyle has left the Priory and plans to resume her singing career, it was revealed last night.

Insiders say the 48-year-old Britain's Got Talent singer has recovered from her meltdown after she came second in Saturday's final and has departed the private clinic.

Family members claimed Miss Boyle, who has learning difficulties, had been racked with worry about her career and a feeling that she had let people down.

But despite claims she could stay for weeks, it has emerged that she checked out on Wednesday. It is understood that she has spoken to show boss Simon Cowell about recording her debut album but he has told her to rest.

A TV source said: 'She is feeling a lot better and she is now somewhere quiet getting some much needed rest. She is excited about her plans.' A spokesman for the show said they were unable to comment on Miss Boyle's whereabouts, but insiders confirmed that she is being looked after by family and friends.
