And our winner is SUSAN BOYLE!
Posted by SBFII Admin on May 30, 2009

Diversity have been crowned this years winner of Britain's Got Talent and as Susan said "they are worthy winners."

Congratulations to Diversity for winning BGT!

Susan did all her fans proud - if it were up to Susan's worldwide fan base then we are sure there would have been a different outcome.

Susan was gracious in defeat and showed that this weeks media attacks where totally out of character.

Our winner is Susan, this result can only benefit all of her fans as we should see Susan realeasing an album sooner rather than later.

Let's take a possitive outlook on this result as Susan gave her best performance to date.

On behalf of your No.1 fansite, Susan, we all wish you the very best for the bright future that lies ahead of you!

Everyone is right - if we had been allowed to vote around the world you would have won hands down - anyone can learn a dance act - you can see them anywhere - but your voice is a natural gift. You can't learn that! You are still #1 with the world - well done. We await your CD's - good luck in your future career.

Yes, Susan, I was so impressed not only by your performance tonight (morning here in Oregon!), but also by your graciousness to everyone at the end. You carried more pressure than anyone else, and you carried it with grace and grit. You are a true champion. We await your CDs, DVDs, and concert tours in America.

I have never seen the Diversity group that won - nor am I ever likely to see them, but Susan I hope to see many times in the future. She should tour the world and let her many fans show their appreciation for her wonderful talent and her courage to get up there.

I hope she comes to the US for a tour -- I will definitely buy tickets and all of her CD's...I think she was the best by far. And a very gracious second place winner.

Susan has won the biggest prize of all, the love of people from all over the globe. I was really hoping she would sing a third song. Simon and Piers gave her the wrong advise, possibly on purpose. Someone stated Susan already has a contract. Is this true? When you make a the cd's Susan we'll buy them. Kate/USA

I agree with others who have written here. I did see Diversity's semi-final performance and was glad they also made the finals. I am glad to hear about your graciousness in taking second place...but you'll always have first place in my book! How wonderful to find a fansite where I can keep track of you and all the amazing adventures you will be having! Your mother must be bursting with pride in Heaven!

susan didnt deserve to win tonight any 1 that thinks she did doesnt really understand *talent* shes a great singer thats true but u need more that in britain and britain didnt like her attitude and cockiness...she was alot more gracious afterwards than she had been...personally she will do alot better over in america than she will over here cos i dont really think people like her apart from her voice ..in fact i hope she moves there.....she will have her 15 mins of fame then dissapear...

Susan's performance tonight was stunning. She should have won the talent show, but did not. However, she did win the largest prize of all and that is the hearts of millions of people around the world. I am confident that we have not heard the last of Susan Boyle.

Susan, congratulation you are an insperation to us all. Keep singing and let us all hear the fruits of your Labour. Thank you for the oppertunity to hear your voice, it will take you all around the world, and give much pleasure to those who have had the privelage to hear you. Thank you once again.

Susan is the REAL winner -- she won a place in thousands of hearts around the world. I'm glad the competition is over. I agre with you Susanne -- we will probably never hear of Diversity again, and dance acts are a dime a dozen. Susan's voice is like a finely tuned instrument -- I rank her even higher than my other two favorite female vocalists -- Barbra Streisand and Celine Dion........and I want to hear lots and lots more of her. You were amazing Susan. That was a wonderful performance.

You looked a little sad and deflated tonight so please know that you are loved greatly by very many people throughout the world.

I can't wait to buy your C.D and see you in concert. Hope you get back to Pebbles and a nice bit of ordinary home life (without all the cameras!) for a few days very, very soon. XXXXXXXX

Susan is still the winner in our eyes and ears. Britain is blind, rather those that voted for a dance troupe over her. Completely blind. I cant even believe that anyone would vote other wise. IM so disappointed and disgusted at Britain and its population right now. At least for the majority since it was a majority that voted for an idiotic dance troupe. Come on they arent no Fred Astaire's. Im just so outraged that Susan didnt win the contest. YET she is our winner and our Angel voice. Just so so mad how could they! I sure hope Susan doesnt take it to heart cuz you dont see her behind the closed doors. What a slap in the face from Britain to her. I am sure the Scots didnt vote against her.
Posted by Dixi on May 30, 2009
She showed her true colours in her warmth towards the other two among the top 3, I think. Hugging the sax (?) player when he joined her among the first three, and honest congratulations to the dancers when they were declared winners. That was true dignity showing itself, a genuine mensch with a genuine heart. Someone said that she was interviewed on itv-2 shortly after. Did anyone capture that, will it reach this homepage?

Susan, you will be around long after Diversity has faded. Plus you will now have more freedom than they will. And besides,"Revealers" who predicted you would lose all said you'd be fantastic in America, eclipse Elaine Pagels, and find true love. A better pot! Moreover, you will perform in front of the Queen on your own terms...

I am proud of you... and certainly not the kind of Reporters who wouldn't know a real person if they fell over them!

Susan was the REAL winner tonight. All I can say is when can I buy her first CD? Diversity was good but Susan was better. I am sure she will be singing for the Queen in the future if she can fit it into her busy schedule!!! I loved her version tonight of I Dreamed A Dream. Her voice was more powerful and in perfect pitch. I could hear her hit those low notes and felt her pain with "this hell that I'm living". I actually feel the reason she did not win was because of those nasty and offending British tabloid papers. They were her complete downfall and no fault of her own! Let's see where Divirsity goes from here compared to where Susan will being going. She will soon reach her shining star and Divirsity can only help but possibly catch a shooting star. And we all know how quickly they fade away.

Susan Boyle - 00-Celtic and Licensed to Thrill!

Susan had already won everyone's hearts globally before she even took part in the semi-finals. It was a blessing for them that Diversity was awarded 1st place and not a necessity for Susan. She's already been blessed in multiples.

My bet's on the QE family to issue a personal invite for Susan to perform for them.

Dear Susan, Your family, including your Mother and Dad, must be ever so proud -- your generosisty, your kindness, your talent, -- and your Courage. You passed all of the tests.

You have lots of friends all around the world ready to help you out so you can get your professional career moving , and that dream of yours a reality. Two songs have worked their way through your life these weeks -- "You Dreamed a Dream" and "Memory" -- and I bet there was a third song you wanted to sing. Now is the time to look forward and make that third song come true. Congratulatins Susan! I am proud to be part of even a very small niche in your life and world. Thankyou.

To Piers blog: Posted by johnnycake on May 30, 2009 to Piers blog

It's over, the most extraordinary season ever. Was that because of Fred Bowers? SuBo is probably relieved to no longer have to put up with the circus of your show, but what does it say when you can't get 1st place to the one person who made you all household words around the world, coming from nowhere to shine brighter than the lights she was dissected under? I'll follow SuBo, buy her products, and throw a street dancer a quarter here and there, but your show no longer holds any interest.

Sometimes the answer to a prayer is, "No."

I don't think there was another act that could have taken runner up with such grace and poise.

We all fell in love with you, Susan. Shine on. You're a star win or lose.
Posted by Singing Soul on May 30, 2009
Susan, you were sensational. Congratulations. You have the ability to touch people's souls - a very rare quality.

Diversity were fun and good but they aren't a patch on you!

I have a feeling that the Queen will invite you to sing for her anyway - it's a hunch I've got and you know how canny us Scots are about these things. Surname is Mackenzie - from Inverness originally!
Posted by calford on May 30, 2009
the papparazzi killed Princess Di and they tried to kill Susan Boyle's spirit.....but they will not succeed. They can lavish all the attention now on their dancers and be happy with that and maybe leave her alone so as not to kill her over and over! I hate all of them.

God has bigger and better things in store for you Susan, with winning BGT you would have to do what they wanted you to do, and I'm certain you will get an album out through some other producer. God Bless YOU Susan! You are the world's winner!
Posted by BlewMeAway on May 30, 2009
Susan, you were absolutely lovely tonight! You sang with so much emotion and conviction. Very impressive! No one can hold a candle to you. We, in America, look forward to your singing career of great success and longevity. Be sure to hire a good manager because everyone is going to want to sign you to a recording contract. Also, as we have seen in America, sometimes the first runner-up ends up being more successful than the actual contest winner. Amanda is so right--it was an absolute privilege to hear you sing! Sending you blessings and love from Arizona! (insert virtual hugs here)

I wish she would have won, but I am still SO SO SO HAPPY for Susan! I was worried the pressure and ridicule may have dampered her goal...but from what I've read after the show, she is still stiving to record an album, and the 1st (I read) with be with Simons co., 'Syco'. It is written she became the biggest star in the history of reality television. That is just amazing! And who says God isn't good and just! I CANNOT wait to buy her album. I hope there will be one for Christmas so I can share with family and friends. Thank you for all you have done for me and for the world Susan. God Bless You and I hoping to see you perform live as well. Tickets will sell out in hours.

I was so sad that Susan didn't win and she took losing to Diversity so well. I felt she seemed a bit sad singing though, but her voice and her spirit shone through. It is cripping to hear still the negative comments on some places and I am looking into reporting some sites for allowing offensive, vulgar and sometimes threatening messages being allowed through. These people have to be stopped. Susan you were brilliant tonight, don't let anyone tell you different and you sounded great and looked great. Well done. You are the real winner. Please believe this. Best wishes from South Wales, UK.

Susan Boyle actually won. The voters choose another act. I think with the "Royal Variety Show" that HRM The Queen will absolutely insist that Susan be there. I have met HRM the Queen on five different occasions. I was in charge of Prince Charles when he was at Timpertop in Australia. In 1985 I had a 1 1/2 hour visit with the Prince of Wales at Kensington Palace. The Queen adores Susan and wants her to be the next Dame Vera Lynn. We need inspiration and Susan can provide it. She will have more record contracts, selling billions, and concert appearances to last her for the rest of her life. She is and always will be one of the greatest entertainers of the 21st Century.

Thank you so much for your comments on what I have wrote. Let me leave you with my favourite quote, "It is better to shoot for the stars and miss, than aim for the gutter and hit it."

God Bless and good luck to all of you. You will always be in my thoughts and dreams.

Fondly,

Dr. Earl

Simon did say that Diversity was the only one that deserved a 10 based on the performances! Thank you Simon for that. I guess your statement might have convinced a lot of voters. I hope that record deal slips right out of your hands!

Am still so ticked off at the booing, it just makes me sick.

I hope right now that Susan gets a much needed rest..she so deserves one.

Was an awesome performance....if you were on the other side of the ocean you would have won!

Friends, after Susan's first audition it was often commented that she 'hit it out of the park'. Well tonight they're searching for that ball somewhere on the surface of the moon! I didn't think it was possible to improve on the audition performance but I was wrong. Not winning the competition matters not one jot. If the forthcoming CD sounds anything like tonight's stunning performance, they won't be able to manufacturer them quickly enough!

Yes I agreed if I could vote in Sweden I have vote for her,she is an angel and the future is here´s. And nothing is saying that the Queen would not meet her in the future,I think your Queen has more intrested in Susan Boyle than a dancing group.Love from Sweden

I'm glad we Americans don't believe everything we read in the press. Those rags print lies to sell papers and they have trashed Susan's reputation. Some folks are so gullible. Susan is better off without that bunch. All they can do is generate contraversy. We know who the real winner should have been and really is. Susan will be a much bigger star than any of the rest. Susan, we love you and will be behind you whatever you decide to do from now on.
Posted by pottedferne on May 30, 2009
@joshy was this a talent contest or a popularity contest? so you voted against the most talented person because you thought she was "cocky"! what a bunch of stupids you are and I hope susan leaves your country to come to where she will be love and honored for the wonderful person she is.
Posted by Peetie on May 30, 2009
Dancers come and go, but singers remain in our hearts forever. Susan is a winner and always will be. In the USA, a poll was done and 83% thought Susan should have won, with only 12% supporting Diversity, and the rest a mix of things. Susan will be around for a long time.

You need some R&R now and then go get 'em girl!! I sure hope you include Canada (specifically Nova Scotia) in one of your tours - we can't wait to see and hear you in person. Yes, Susan is the real winner because of her global fanbase, and not the one just from Britain, which was sadly depleted after all that bad press she got this week. That is why she did not win the contest tonight, but she will go on and be a superstar long after Diversity.

Yes, I confess when I heard that the bookies were out, I figured that they wouldn't allow Susan to win as they stood to lose too much money. It should be one person, one vote, but it isn't so rich people can still in effect buy votes!!!

Susan gave a beautiful, nuanced, professional performance tonight. Very heartfelt, especially on the "tigers come at night" bridge and on "so different from this hell I'm living." I was worried because she looked very nervous and drained, like she was just trying to get through the event without collapsing--and yet she gave a brilliant performance, anyway.

When the time came to announce the winner, I honestly thought Susan was going to throw up from the tension. But as soon as Diversity was announced the winner, suddenly the strain fell away, and she was our old radiant Susan once again. And it struck me that, for all that some would count second place as "losing," Susan looked RELIEVED. I think she was hoping, not to take first place, but to be relieved of the obligations to BGT that being a first-place winner would place upon her.

Make no mistake: She loves to sing, even now. It's not singing she's rejecting. Rather, she's realized, in these short seven weeks, that her true dream is not to be a "celebrity" for Britain's Got Talent but to be a professional singer. She doesn't belong in that circus sideshow; she belongs on the stage, doing serious singing--with a little kick of fun, now and then. Did you note how she broke into a wild and energetic dance at the end of the show? SHE LOOKED HAPPY. And I really think that her gracious words about the better act winning first place could be translated, not as a gracious cover for disappointment, but as a gracious cover for relief. She looked as if she were thinking: OH THANK GOD.

So maybe our prayers worked, after all, for the highest good as far as Susan is concerned.

Susan's talent has been made known. She has a substantial following waiting to buy her albums and see her in concert. Let us pray, now, that she can develop and pursue her singing career ON HER OWN TERMS.

Posted by YeahSusan on May 30, 2009 Well, much asI love Susan, I am rather glad that she came second. She seemed to be in a daze during the singing and only came alive when the winners were announced. I would have loved Susan to win but maybe it really was too much for her to take. Now she can return to her normal life and make recordings at her leaisure. She is such a special lady that I want her to be happy, not pressured!! Susan we are very proud of you; you are the best

I would like to know the vote count.

I remember JRH2063 that you you said people were going to make a lot of money through betting if Susan lost. I guess you were right. Did you make any money since you seemed to have inside info?
Posted by yania36 on May 30, 2009
Oh Thank You Susan, you are fantastic !!!
Posted by JRH2063 on May 30, 2009
The same situation happened in American Idolshow I think...when a favourite is heavily backed, the betting industry will furnish thousands of votes to cover its potential loses. That is what they did tonight.
Posted by wictrygal on May 30, 2009
Ultimately Susan is the winner. Diversity will have a check to divide amongst themselves, get to dance for the queen and have a few nice memories, but a year from now no one will remember who they are. Susan will no doubt get a recording contract and a nice career out of this. I expect she will be invited to perform for the queen as well. Plus, her name will be known long after Diversity is forgotten. She did a terrific job in the finals and I agree that if the votes were collected worldwide, she would have won by a landslide!

Susan dear, you are the true winner in so many hearts! Thank you, darlin' for giving all of us the chance to hear your amazing voice. BGT is just your first step in what will be a very long and and productive journey of singing engagements, shows, and record albums. Your career has been launched, now go and soar! God bless you, Susan.

Dearest Susan - When I saw your very first performance, I cried my eyes out! The sheer beauty of your voice and the unfulfilled hopes echoed in the song got to me on the deepest level. Your dream is not over, it's only just begun! You have captured so many hearts and will be around long after your rivals. Real talent doesn't fade away! Please continue to be the sweet lady that you are. Can't wait to meet you someday in America! Much love to you! You are such an inspiration to me.

To IvoryMist - I never bet on anything unless it does not involve the potential for human influence. Even horses I do not bet on (becuase they are manipulated) as well as onsite gambling sites. I know enough about the betting industry that this vote was set up

Where is the balance in this competition? It's simple math -- ten or more dancers x's their families and friends voting verses one tremendously talented singing sensation x's her family and friends and voting. If America could have voted, I would have voted for Susan!!! Can't wait to buy her first CD - she has the real talent.

Susan, you are the true winner in my book! I hope to find a CD of your songs to purchase in the near future. I think you're wonderful and your voice is a beautiful gift! Please keep on singing! Denise in North Carolina, USA

Don't all agree that Piers Morgan was a true man and gentleman tonight. I think he almost put himself on the line when he gave Susan the compliment of having the best singing. I sure he was referring to the complete picture, not just her talent, but he got boos from the audience and I'm sure he didn't care one bit! And no matter what people say of Simon, he is just blunt and real and he not only apologized but truly respects Susan as most others do!

Your performance was awesome, your gown was beautiful and your smile radiant. I agree, a dance can be learned, but only God gives a voice. Susan, you will sing before multitudes of important people and fans galore, but sing to the King Of Kings and He will open to you, every door. Exciting times are ahead, this was just a starting place for honing.
Posted by mrjamfy on May 30, 2009
Really it doesn't make a difference that she finished 2nd she is just a great singer and will be no matter the outcome. She will have a spectacular career just watch because for the millions that can sing top 40 pop there are hardly any that can sing the way Susan Boyle can. I hope to hear her very soon and will keep a look out for it!

Debi, we agree totally with you. For us Susan is THE winner, the best singer on BGT!We also love her, not only for her great, great voice but also for the person she is.She taugt us a lesson or two, to be honest. We feel the deepest respect for her, letting family come first before her own carreer, always helping and being of service to others in her community...what a true gem!!We, or let me speak for myself, I can learn a lot from her. Susan I make a deep bow for ye! Ger&Chris A'dam/Neth -we'll buy all your CD's, can't wait!

Susan, I was captivated by you and your wonderful voice from the first moment I saw you on BGT. I don't know how many time both I and my husband have watched your videos on You Tube (over and over again)......we are definitely Susan Boyle fans and will continue to be. I was counting the hours until we would hear that you "won" the final today.......so, disappointed that you did not, and yet, we both agree that you are THE WINNER no matter what. You will go on and do very well inspite of missing the number one spot today. I will continue to keep up with news of your upcoming albums and will be first in line to buy one.

Posted by Niteangel on May 30, 2009
I must say I am very surprised Susan didn't win. She is the reason I've been watching Britain's got talent this year (I'm in USA and been watching videos on the official website). Granted there was many very talented people on the show, but Susan is so special, so beautiful and natural in this world of artificiality.

But it doesn't matter, she is definitely a star now, it is not the end it is the beginning of a very long and wonderful career.

We love you Susan!
Posted by mimi2 on May 30, 2009
Susan was the real winner, hands down! The dance group relied too much on "smoke and mirrors" (sound and light effects, confetti, etc.). The vote seemed to reflect only the British younger set, hardly the WORLD! Her voice had such a CLARITY tonight, truly the "voice of angel." She's an angel for me! She looked gorgeous in that dress and carried herself as a perfect lady with such GRACE and POISE in the face of her adversaries and was such a good sport at the results. She did her Mum and Dad in heaven very very proud. She shone like a star.

The QUEEN should have the good sense to invite Susan to sing for her.

I STRONGLY disagree with 2 posts up, "YeahSusan" who said she appeared to be in a "daze." What total nonsense! Susan was SHINING at her BEST!

Now it's OVER and she's no longer controlled by BGT, hooray! You go, Girl!!! You have this order for your new CD. It's coming out when? Go home and celebrate in Blackburn.

SUSAN DIDN'T LOSE, SHE CAME IN SECOND!, PLEASE REMEMBER THAT MANY HOPEFUL CONTESTANTS WENT HOME EMPTY HANDED. SUSAN SHOWED TRUE GRIT. SUSAN HAS MADE FRIENDS AND ADMIRERS ALL AROUND THE WORLD! I STILL THINK PITCHING IN AND SENDING HER A COMPUTER WOULD BE GREAT, THAT WAY SHE COULD CONVERSE WITH US & MANY OTHERS. I WILL BE FIRST TO ADMIT, I AM DISAPPOINTED THAT SHE DIDN'T GET THE #1 SPOT, I WAS SO NERVOUS, I DIDN'T WATCH, BUT OUT OF 40 CONTESTENTS, SUSAN WAS #2, NOT BAD!!!. AS I SAID BEFORE, GOD HAS A PLAN THAT WE CAN'T CHANGE, BUT MORE THAN THE #1 SPOT, HE BROUGHT HER TO BGT & NOW SHE HAS FRIENDS AND THE CONFIDENCE THAT HER SINGING REALLY TOUCHES PEOPLE, & SHE IS THE #1 ALL-TIME YOUTUBE WINNER!!!

Congratulations Susan it was again a brilliant performance. Diversity was the winner of BGT an amazing dancegroup! You were the winner of the singers! Susan I can imagine that the media pressure was enourmously during your time in BGT. From the very first beginning, it was like a hunt on you. Susan I'm waiting for your album. And hope the producers made beautiful Susan Boyle songs for you. Not covers, but songs made for you. I follow your career, and I want to say that we love you in the Netherlands. In talkshows they often speak about you and your magnificent voice. You are as great as Vera Lynn at that time. You have a long career cause you're still young.
Posted by CowgirlTX on May 30, 2009
Susan's performance was really wonderful-like it more each time I watch. Disappointed for her? somewhat, but I agree with several of you in that I believe this outcome is in her best interest. Now, she is much freer to make her own path. I just hope she listens to the 'right' people, and not just to the ones who want to benefit from her stardom. Nothing wrong with them, just listen to folks who have her best interests at heart. Is there a tour of some sort she and the others will participate in? Will this site stay up and her career continues? Later.

I forgot to mention how much I liked the judges' comments! Two thumbs to all 3 judges, it was wonderful and Susan certainly deserved them.
Posted by JRH2063 on May 30, 2009
From the surveys I have seen in UK, before Susan madea superb performance tonight, Susan had gained 50% of the public vote which leaves fractions to the rest of the performers. Given that Susan put on a stunning perrformance tonight, I really find it hard to believe she came out second to a dance group she beat in the semi final for the popular vote. There is clearly a betting industry manipulation here.

my Mama told me to be careful of what you wish for .... Susan is in a better place away from BGT

wonder what Donny Osmond had to do with this ...... that old conspiracy theory again......

Miss Boyle, your performance tonight was fabulous, your demeanour gracious, and you looked wonderful! You have long won fans all over the world who can't wait for your first album, and in the process promoted a British TV programme to global status - too bad your voters tonight couldn't outdo those of Diversity, but that's UK's loss, not yours. Take the very best care of yourself now - the UK tour should be a piece of cake after the competition - and after a good rest enable us to buy the first of your many albums. YOU ARE THE WORLD'S BEST!!!

Fellow fans, I dialled non-stop from 8:30 to 9:45 when the line closed, must have got in between us about 1,000 votes, for all the aficionados who couldn't vote themselves. This is the first and last time BGT made money out of me, and it's money well-spent!

It really breaks my heart to see her treated so poorly by the press in her own country and booed by some in the audience. She was so gracious in the end and really angers me when people who know ZERO about her accuse her of being cocky. Ridiculous. Absolutely ridiculous. I just don't think she deserves the disrespect she has been shown. It is because of her that so many people from around the world have zoomed in on Britain and BGT. Sadly, her popularity in America may be part of what triggered the resentment. Sigh. However, diversity was amazing and shouldn't have anything taken away from them. I just hope those who love to insult Susan will now go away and stay away.

Susan, You may have come in second on the program tonite but you are No.1 here at my house. I know you can do anything that you want to do now with a new career & we will be expecting to see you "in person" here in the USA. You are a very special person with a wonderful God-given voice, we are so glad that we had a chance to meet you & ride on this roller-coaster with you. I watch the clips over & over & cry every time. Keep a smile on your face & just keep on singing, Susan Boyle! Thank you so very much.

Susan, we love you! As talented as Diversity is, they will never come close to evoking the astounding amount of love and affection from an entire planet that you did. This result has no impact on the good things that are coming to you. How one little woman from Scotland could make the whole planet feel simultaneous joy is a miracle. We will never hear about Diversity again, but rest assured, you have a tremendous career ahead of you and you will go down in history. LET THE LASSIE SING!

Susan is a true talent...the voice of an angel. And she held up under tremendous pressure. She did not lose. Diversity just got more phone call votes. True talent lost to those who were able to get more calls in. More calls does not equal the REAL winner. Susan won the hearts of millions...that's no loss.

From miror.co.uk Looks like we won't have to wait until Christmas for a CD after all!

Now Susan is to take on America as Simon turns her into a £6million global superstar. TV networks there are already fighting to be the first to show clips from last night’s show.

The Sunday Mirror can reveal that Susan has also been offered a cameo appearance in the hit US sitcom Ugly Betty. Simon wants her to capitalise immediately on her fame. An album will be rushed out even quicker than the 29 days it took to release 2007 winner Paul Potts’ first CD.

A source close to Simon said: “Susan is already an icon. Now is the time for her to cash in. It would be lunacy to wait. They have to act now. People are clamouring for an album, clamouring for tour dates. there will be a total whirlwind of activity.”

As early as next week she is due in Prague to record with the Czech National Symphony Orchestra. Shy Susan will also hit the New York and Los Angeles chat-show circuits as a major celebrity, who feature on Paul’s new album. She has already appeared via satellite link on Oprah Winfrey and Larry King’s shows.

Showbiz agent Jonathan Shalit – who oversaw Charlotte Church’s career – says Susan is destined for a huge fortune. He said: “Her story is a real-life fairy tale and it’s about to get its happy ending.

“If it was announced that Susan Boyle was singing at Wembley next week it would sell out.

“But the American market is where she will make her serious money. She has the voice and popularity to perform at huge arenas in the States, gigs which could earn her £60,000 per night.”

Susan is tipped to make up to £6million by the end of next year. Five movie offers are already on the table for her life story – – two of them classed “very serious” by BGT insiders.

Last night Susan’s brothers John, 59, and Joseph, 62, were in the BGT audience with her nieces Pamela, 36, and Kirsty 40.

John said: “We’re all very proud. She is very competitive and she practised, practised, practised for this. She deserves all of it.” Joseph said: “Susan has such great potential, it’s brilliant to see her achieving her dream.”

In the ex-mining village of Blackburn, locals crammed into a pub and a community centre to watch on giant screens. Centre manager Ralph Bell said: “She’s really put us on the map.”

Susan Boyle is much bigger than a talent show. Her star will continue to burn bright because she struck such a deep chord with people all over the world. Unprecedented. Class by herself. The show deserves our thanks for giving her a chance to sing and for us to hear her. But in the end, she brought more to the show than the show did to her, with all the interest she generated for it. So I would have liked to see her get all the credit with a first place win. But she will find her own path to further glory, as she has both the talent and the character to do so. The one downside is that it is unlikely that the gutter press will back off, still ready to gloat and taunt her 'defeat'. So I hope Morgan and Cowell will protect her, as they have claimed they will. God Bless and Keep You, Susan.

Even Diversity were shocked to win. Susan Boyle was the out right favourite on the opinion polls- so what happened? What are the figures for the votes? The bad publicity Susan got seemed staged, and she was not protected by BGT who stuck her in a public hotel during the run-up to the finals, leaving her open to the petty allegations which have plagued her recently. The only reason BGT got such a high audience, and worldwide following, was Susan's presence on the show. They were still calling her a "spinster" tonight. She's a far bigger phenomenum than all the "judges", Cowle, Morgan and Amanda, put together, and she has got a great future ahead, especially in America, which is hard for any non-American to crack. I doubt whether many Americans have heard of Prime Minister Gordon Brown, but they know and love Susan, and even the President is a fan. She certainly won't be returning to Scotland and her cat, which Simon Cowell said tonight was the alternative to winning BGT. What a colossal cheek!
Posted by sbfanusa on May 30, 2009
I was surprised at the outcome, but I hope we will hear Susan on a CD and see her on tour very soon. Although I love dance, I just don't see Diversity really going anywhere. Maybe a few videos or something. Susan has a beautiful voice and a wonderful talent. She has deservedly gotten some benefit from the show and will have a bright future. I too would ask that we keep this site going. All of us want to keep track of what is happening with her career.

article is indeed true then why all the fuss about Susan loosing?

Still begs the question: does Simon Cowell really "own" Susan (go back and look at the "glowing light" on him whe she appeared on state for the first time)?

WHATEVER contractural agreements Susan has are find with me, whatever else she desides to do with her life is fine as well, just so long as we can hear her sing, which BTW folks out there "in the know" lets U.S. Yanks know when that's gonna happen so can skip going to TrashYouTube and let susan-boyle.com get the page hits instead!

I refuse to ever go to the chat box on this site again. If we can NOT have a members-only chat box, then we shouldn't dignify the cretins out there who only show up to run Susan down by having one at all.

Dear Retired in Kalofornia, Well, as someone said, does anyone remember who won the talent show on which Jennifer Houston came in 5th? But this was Susan's dream, and as eager as I am for her CDs (her voice is constantly running through my mind, which has been a challenge this week at work), I wanted her to have everything she's been dreaming for. Part of my own dream is that our culture is good enough to recognize and rejoice in a gem like her. My guess is she's got her feet on the ground enough to enjoy the fabulous future she has ahead of her. She's got real strength to go with her beauty.

From a small town in USA

What a powerful performance by Susan in the finals of BGT. She is an absolutely beautiful person with a voice from Heaven. I loved hearing her sing and look forward to hearing more from her. Although she placed second in BGT, I believe she is #1 in the hearts of the British people---I know she is #1 in our hearts here in America.

Susan--well done!!!! You deserve the best of everything. You took care of your mom and lived your life in service to others. Now is the time for you to take care of you while allowing us to hear more of your beautiful voice.

Thank you ! I feel incredibly blessed to have heard you sing.

Congratulations Susan! You have truly accomplished something incredible ... and it has only just begun! Again, your voice took my breath away - simply wonderful!! YOU are the reason I "logged" on to the computer every night....what a great lady :-) I'm looking forward to your CD and would love to see you come to America - I'll be there in a heart beat! Score: Susan Boyle 1 - Britain's Got Talent 0

Move as far away as you can and as fast as possible from these useless judges and organisers in Britain's Got Talent Susan. I would really respect you for doing that.

Thank you, johnnycake, though if I were a really smart cookie I'd close the browser and get away from the computer for a while. ;-) No, I haven't read that book; I really should read more Vonnegut, because he keeps coming up in various conversations so he must be an author relevant to stuff I talk about! I will request that title from my local library, while I'm still thinking about it. Thanks!

Susan Boyle is the winner. If the world would have voted she would have won hands down. But, I think in the end Susan will be the winner because she will have CDs and a tour schedule and make millions of dollars. I can't wait to buy her CD. I feel the British voted against her out of spite or something that I don't understand. Diversity was good, but no match for Susan Boyle. America will welcome her with open arms.

I am a huge SB fan; and maybe it is sour grapes, but I really do not understand the phone vote thing. How is it possible in a one hour vote that diversity could have gotten more votes than Susan? I could understand an even vote more. I have read in these blogs that if you called from outside the UK that might adversely affect votes within the UK (somehow tying up the lines). If that is the case then, I believe, Susan's vote total was lessened because there were tons more people calling her line and getting blocked internationely ; than were calling for diversity(maybe 100 calls for diversity). If any of you know about these technicalities; feel free to address my concern.

Susan: You are still my favorite. You have such a gift. I think from the first time I saw you, even before you sang, I enjoyed your spunky spirit. You are a beautiful person. Don't listen to anything negative from the media. There is always going to be someone to kick you, make you fall and kick you again. It is who we are to ourselves and God that matters the most. You are very special. Pet your cat Pebbles for me. I have a cat named Ashley. I will think of you both when I pet her. Stay just as good as you are.

Much Love, hugs and wishes for success and peace in your future.

Howdy Pards,

Well, you know...look at it this way pards, our Lady Susan may not have won Britain's Got Talent...but she did win millions of hearts over the last month!

She will now go on tour with the group and get more comfortable on that stage without all the pressure. Then, that CD we've all been hopin' for, and, if we are lucky, maybe a DVD too cause we love SEEIN' her wonderful smile.

And, then, who knows...the West End, Broadway? There is no doubt in my mind that she will be in the United States before long...and then she'll begin to understand how much she is loved throughout the world.

Yep, MAKE NO MISTAKE, SUSAN BOYLE WON HUNDREDS OF MILLIONS OF HEARTS! Includin', of course, this grizzled ol' cowhand's heart!

Susan Boyle remains a SUPER STAR...and the journey has only just begun.

Adios for now. Talk to ya on down the trail.

Catherine from San Diego: Thank you VERY much for the kind comments! I was born into an America that began in 1968 - after Tet Offensive to be exact even though I've not served in the Armed Forces of the United States Of America - there STILL is enough people from "the old culture" here in the U.S.A. who deeply appreciate Susan. I grew up watching grainy black & white TV in the 1950s, great acts like Fred Allen, Jack Benny, Rosemary Cluny and even Gail Storm (love that name!) but Kate Smith who's booming voice and "square" physique reminds me so much of Susan. Maybe all nostalga on my part but what fun I've having now "safely" sharing all this right now! Love you!

Simon was very good with his comment in the show. He was right on. Susan's interview during the voting was great. She looked great in the gown, but looked very tired. Congrats to her! She did it with a great performance and with grace. The worst is hopefully behind her. Now she can live out her dream!!

Yes, Susan won't need that 100,000 £ -she will make much more money and be a wealthy lady, respected and warmly welcomed wherever she goes. That article above mentioned American stations fighting to be first to broadcast her Finale performace. So, dear friends, Susan did not lose anything - let's keep on praying that she can finally have a peaceful moment and take a breath before the next step!
Posted by carolinafan on May 30, 2009
Susan deserved to win, but the British press and web bloggers saw to it that she didn't by spreading nasty rumors. The BGT people are to blame too -- they created a global mega-star with her audition and then didn't support and protect her by keeping the snipers away until it was too late. Truth is, she didn't need to win to have a great career, but Diversity did. And see how she smiled and looked relieved when she didn't win -- all those interviews she won't have to do. (God, get her away from the British press.) Susan will be just as successful worldwide as if she had won, but particularly in the U.S. Simon will see to that -- he needs the $$$$! Hopefully, Susan will survive her fame and be happy singing. Bring on that CD! America awaits. The dream is alive.

One should not have to compete against reggae dancers in a contest if you have a trained gorgeous voice. There is no comparison here. Why should you be in an amatuer contest that is for dancing gymnasts ? It is not fair to the amateurs. Susan's voice is way beyond amateurish.. The very young little girl's voice was very good too and again, no comparision to moonwalk dancing. The only fault that Susan had, that I could see, was the same song should not have been redone by Susan. She needs a professional music/stage promoter. Send her to America and she will pack the venues here.

No wonder I can't find you, I was on the page we were in last eve. I left my steam there. Here is what I just read on the net - if any want to see; (they have Susan Boyle masks in Britain)_________________________________________________________ Susan Boyle beaten in talent show final.

celebs:Larry KingOprah WinfreySusan Boyle

Fans of television show "Britains Got Talent" singer Susan Boyle pose for photographers holding masks in their local community centre in Blackburn, Scotland after watching a broadcast of Boyle performing on the final of the show May 30, 2009. REUTERS/ David Moir (BRITAIN ENTERTAINMENT)Reuters LONDON (Reuters) - Street dancers Diversity were the surprise winners of television contest "Britain's Got Talent" on Saturday, beating favorite Susan Boyle who became an Internet phenomenon and global celebrity after appearing on the show.

The troupe, which includes three sets of brothers and comes from southeast England, won 100,000 pounds ($160,000) and the right to take the stage at the Royal Variety Performance in front of the Queen.

Of the 10 finalists, Diversity were the bookmakers' sixth favorite to win going into the show, but their acrobatic performance choreographed by 20-year-old Ashley Banjo was described by judge Simon Cowell as "utter perfection."

"If I had to give marks on that, that is the only performance tonight I would want to give a 10 to," Cowell said after their performance.

Boyle was runner-up, but so overwhelming were the betting odds in her favor that the result was seen as a major surprise.

The 48-year-old unemployed church volunteer from Scotland, who once joked she had never been kissed and has been described by newspapers as "frumpy" and a "hairy angel," was the antithesis of what many considered a celebrity to be.

Yet her rendition of "I Dreamed a Dream" from "Les Miserables" in April was downloaded on the Internet more than 150 million times and made her a household name.

Film crews camped outside her home in the small town in Scotland where she lives alone with her cat, tabloid reporters followed her every move and she appeared on U.S. chat shows hosted by Oprah Winfrey and Larry King.

PRESSURE

The pressure appeared to tell this week, when she threatened to pull out of the show and had an altercation with journalists.

In his blog, judge Piers Morgan wrote: "Let me tell you now, there is a downside to fame. People start criticizing you, sniping at you, trying to trip you up, belittle you, harass you.

He said Boyle had learning difficulties after being deprived of oxygen at birth, and was nicknamed "Simple Susan" at school.

"I am calling today for everyone to just give her a break."

Boyle sang I Dreamed a Dream again on Saturday, and while her rousing performance was warmly received, it was not enough.

"You've had a weird seven weeks and you had every right to walk away from this and you could have walked away," Cowell said after she sang. "You can walk away from this, win or lose, with your head held high, Susan. I absolutely adore you."

Boyle, who praised Diversity after the public telephone vote was announced, said earlier in the show that the whole experience had been "well worth it.

"The pressure put on me has been overwhelming. I've got to put that aside now. When I step on that stage tonight it's the accumulation of 40 years of dreaming."

Despite not winning Britain's Got Talent, Boyle is widely expected to land a lucrative recording contract as a result of her global fame and impressive voice.

Susan's gonna need a tax account REAL soon! For GOD's sake Susan DON'T move to California - at least right now till we get a proposed proposition now in signature circulation to boot out the entire legislature AND Governor if they don't get a state budget passed on or begore the constitutional deadline next year - we're gonna go broke any day now!

Posted by Kathryn49 on May 30, 2009
What hurt me very much? Is that the winners just stood there, dreaming their impossible dream, and never paid one second of attention to Susan! That does not happen where I come from! In the Netherlands (or Holland, if you like) we have these 'shows' as well. But the winner in the finale hugs the loser, as they have gone through so much together for so many weeks. To me the people of 'Diversity' seemed like total social invalids! Susan will be the winner in the end. She behaved graciously, and the people of 'Diversity'? Stood out by anti-social behaviour towards fellow participants. So egotistic! Britain will get what it deserves in this respect, but it's not what it should get.

Hey: All of you people STOP a moment and THINK!!! What did Susan say in her first appearence? I want to be a professional singer - like Elaine Paige!!! Then she stole our hearts. Yes BGT let her down by letting the press get to her and no other contestants..so what??? We will make her dream come true by small bits sending her our wishes; letting her know more about how she has changed us and united us all for the better and for now allowing her to go home and just 'chill'!!! Soon she will be on tour, recording her songs and we should support all she does...bloody crap on the nasty people who have posted on this website... We should take up a collection for those people and give then a one way ticket to Blackburn...or to my new friend in Texas. She will make it big and we should help as much as we can. Paul-know you're still on board...HELP!!!!

You are TURLY an incredible talent and I hope that you will continue to share your gift with the world. The Queen is getting short changed this time but I'll bet you'll perform for her before long. The vote needs to be transparent. It was not. At the same time as we have a corrupt British parliament, we have a non transperent system in many ways of voting and accountability in the UK. This show just reinforces that to me.

Diversity isn't breaking news on all the major news networks, Susan is... Look on the bright side, she still got second and now she doesn't have to listen to the BGT and their rules. I am expecting to see her here in the States sooooooooooooooon. We'll get to see a lot more of her and when she sings it won't be so rushed and critical for her.

Joshy I am posting this latest news for you LMAO

AN army of relatives “parachuted” in to support her, a pep talk from Simon Cowell and a photograph of Pebbles, her pet cat, helped sustain Susan Boyle, Scotland’s new singing sensation, to the final of Britain’s Got Talent last night.

Boyle – or “SuBo” as she has been dubbed – was heading for a recording contract and a £5m fortune, win or lose.

GREAT POINT Navyvet! Spot on about Susan wanting to be a pro! Simon ain't "simple" about money off Sue, doubt that of her as well! Susan ain't living in a "TV box" (what we'd called cardboard boxes TVs were shipped in "once upon a time" long, LONG ago!), if she was a fiscal basket case we'd known it by now, says something to about being Scottish with a LARGE bit of Irish swagger for flavoring!

Susan and her singing will last years and years. For some reason I can't see myself looking for a Diversity CD at Christmas time!....hmmmm..... They are good, but a flash in the pan. Now she can proceed at her own pace, do what she wants to do, and do it her way. I am looking forward to purchasing her first recording, "Susan in Concert," and a copy of the book that is bound to be published, "The Susan Boyle Story." My real hope is that she finds a finacial/program manager that truly will look out for Susan. She is a fine lady that deserves only the best.

When - not if - Susan comes to The States it'll be the biggest thing since the Beatles arriving c. 7 February 1963, less than two months after JFK was murdered. Their arrival for those "under 45" ushered in the "British Invasion" an was a tremendous psyche boost for us shocked & demoralized Yanks then.

Having just watched the finale clip again, I am feeling sad for Susan. Her demeanor is very subdued. Others have noted that she seems tired. I think it is depression. A poster on the She Dreamed A Dream blog here suggested that Susan's comments and gestures reflected a conscious intention to rebuke at what has happened with BGT and the press. Certainly, there is an edge when she says, I am among friends, aren't I? If she is that self possessed, good on her. If she is feeling down and bitter at having reached for her dream, only to be slapped at by guttersnipes, I hope she recovers her high spirits soon. She did not deserve to be attacked, nor to be unprotected. Perhaps that explains the rather strange and strained looks on the faces of Cowell and Holden during the performance, especially when Susan gets to the part...'but the tigers come at night'... I think she knows they did not do right by her and is weary. I trust her family and community will be a comfort. The one exception may be Piers Morgan. I appreciated his defense of her on his blog, and his words of encouragement at the finale. Can someone put up a link to the winner announcement portion of the show so that I can see this relieved Susan you mention? Then I might feel better in knowing she feels better.

Susan's voice is absolutely unbelievably beautiful. I know she had a hard week, but I love her all the more for coming through this and performing that magnificent number again for all of us - and even better this time around. I will buy her cd, I would go to her concerts - I will follow her career and support her always.

I don't know if Ms. Boyle is going to see any of these comments, but I for one can't wait until she comes to America for a concert. A dance troop compared to an outstanding Angelical voice like her's is no competition. She should have won hands down, but one thing is for sure she won in my eyes, and I hope she goes on with her singing career.
Posted by Noelle on May 30, 2009
I agree Dr Earl. I think the royal fam will issue a special invitation to Susan
Posted by britgirl45 on May 30, 2009
I am most definitely a Susan Boyle fan and was really hoping that she would win, and disappointed that she didn't win. Having said that, Diversity did put on a great performance. It was good to watch but let's not forget that you can't hear a dance troupe perform. Susan's voice will be with us forever as long as there are CDs. Her voice will be around for us all to enjoy and I don't doubt that she will have a career singing for herself and for us, her fans. SHe is most definitely a winner in my book. How many people has she touched in the past few weeks. How many people have replayed her recordings because they can't get enough of her?

What a beautiful voice you have Susan. What you sang I Dream a Dream is not my type of music till I heard your voice. You are a winner. I hope you will make a cd I will defently buy it as I know many others will.. Thank you for making yourself known and going on BGT. Stay as sweet as you are, you are one beautiful person inside and out!! Good luck to you Susan!!

I agree JRH2063 ,and I think maybe Susan might know that too and why she had a bit of an edge to her. She should have won! But it really doesn't matter because we are not fools. We can see who the best talent was!I hope she is not too disappointed. At first I was heartbroken, then shocked but she set the good example for me and handle it all so graciously . I feel better now, I guess I'm over the shock. I just hope we get to see an interview. I just want to know that she is alrght.

May God bless Susan Boyle and I am very hopeful that we will see an invitation to perform for the Queen at Balmoral this summer. Susan Boyle is a true champion in every sense of the word. God Bless her!

Susan was so fabulous, and sweet, and her voice so lovely and filled with such passion that I have been in tears relistening to her song in this final competition. DON'T understand the selection of the dance group, but it makes no difference to me. I only searched you tube for her final performance. I only wanted to hear Susan sing. She is my hero. To go through what she has, with the loss of her mom and fulfilling her promise to her, Susan is the winner!! I don't know if we will hear much about the other contestants in years to come, but I believe Susan will go on to a wonderful career. I know that she opened up a new world of music to me. I signed up on You Tube so I could tell her. Befor searching for Susan, I didn't know who Elaine Paige was. But I do now, and many more, and their music, and your music, is wonderful. I bought the sound track to Les Miz, Phantom of the Opera, CDs from Brit singers, Sarah Brightman, Paul Potts and several others. I've ordered DVDs of live performances. I will buy Susan's CDs and DVDs when I can. Thank you Susan for the gift of music. I just hope to see Susan perform in person some day. Thanks to all the fans for letting me speak from my heart. From Louisiana, USA

Just because Susan was treated so meanly by the British press and people [and not to take away the win from the Diversity Dance team for they worked their guts out im sure for the win and they had their hopes and dreams as well...but I think I'll buy 6 copies of the new Susan Boyle CD instead of just the 3 I planned to buy to give out to friends and relatives for Christmas ! Lets send a message to the goons of the British press who should have known when it was time to cut slack to a dear precious lady...who knows....maybe Susan will become so wealthy she'll buy up some of those media outlets and bring some of those dogs into her office and well....well we won't say what she'll do with them.....but they might be looking for a job maybe trying out for BGT to make their ends meet : )

Posted by algersterman on May 30, 2009
BGT 2009 was such a huge success because of Susan Boyle.Paul Potts is a natural star but what has become of George Sampson? All that will happen is that Susan will become a bigger star as a result of being runner up and I'm totally convinced,as I posted earlier, that win or lose she has won the hearts of so many that any singing career will be successful.

God help us but Susan Boyle, through BGT,has become a world superstar who will shine her light even in the good old USA,a feat that rarely is achieved by a British Singer. Not even Robbie Williams.

You light will shine for all to see and you will get your dream to sing to the Queen sooner than you might believe.

I will be in line for any CD you put out. I live in NY so when you hit Broadway-I will be there. You are a real inspiration with a God-given talent-one that can not be learned! What a winner you truly are Susan!

The biggest winner from this BGT show is Susan Boyle with no question of doubt. The vote tonight was a farce because the betting industry have to cover their bets and frankly there should be no betting on talent shows.

Susan, you are bigger than the show and we love you :)
Posted by Daxter on May 30, 2009
Susan -- I am probably one of the few who actually prayed you would come in second. The pressure this week would only have gotten worse as time went on. And your time would not be your own.

Here in America many of our best talents have come in 2nd on American Idol. They have been enormously successful on THEIR OWN TERMS! (Clay Aiken, for example.)

You deserve to control your destiny. Ignore the dolts who would want to tear you down. God has given you a gift. Now you can share it with the world. Your parents are smiling down on you, Susan!
Posted by inspiredbysusan on May 30, 2009
This poor woman has been on such a roller-coaster for the past 7 weeks. Can any of us possibly imagine what she's gone through. From her little village did she even know about half the shows she ended up appearing on? She started with the audience and judges laughing at her and criticizing her. She skyrocketed to being taken advantage of by every American show there is (that's all I know about), to being criticized for being herself and for reacting under pressure as many with hypoxic (too little oxygen) brain damage do, and being boo'ed tonight. She is very smart and savvy but she's not only got areas in her brain damaged but she's from a very small town - most of us in the US can't even comprehend that. She deserves EVEN MORE CREDIT for all she's overcome. I'm so torn between relief, love for her, anger, disappointment and wanting to be protective. I don't think I've ever felt such a mixture of emotions at one time - just amazing. p.s. I am amazed she only got 20% of the votes. Please, God, just take care of Susan.

THE FIX WAS IN, there is no way that Susan was beaten by this group of dancers, while agile, and entertaining shows no real talents. Nothing they have shown that I did not see in some gymnastics competition, and many times better. Susan Boyle is the real winner. She is by far the best talent, at least from the limited version we see here online in California.
Posted by Stilo on May 30, 2009
I am a simple person fan Rio Rancho, New Mexico and Susan is still a winner to me. She is a true talent and even though she didn't win the BGT finale, she's won my heart and the hearts of many Americans. I look forward to many great things from Susan and I can't wait to get my hands on the recordings of such a great talent. She has the support of the American public, one thing Diversity does not have. Good on Diversity, and even better for the support that America has given to Susan Boyle. She's on her way to a great career in music, one that we will all benefit from. God bless you Susan!

We don't blame the whole UK for Diversity's win. As I understand it, texting is faster than dialing, and as in America, you can get a bunch of people together with their equipment, & put through a lot more votes. Since the show & the phone companies make more money off every phone call, it's to their advantage to record calls , not people. It's quite possible that Susan won the popular vote in number of people for her, but not the number of calls, especially if the bookies set up a few of their own phone parties. Don't know if it's legally possible, but it would be interesting to find out the total number of votes, & what phones they came from. Bottom line is, the winner is not determined by the people, but by the money spent.

Susan made the contest important, not the other way around. In a sense, the contest just got in the way; it delayed the time we could see and hear her outside of BGT. Now it's done, & good riddance. They got our money & our attention this year because of Susan; it won't happen again.

Are you going to stop watching Susan's videos now? I didn't think so. Those hits will keep going up. Are you going to stop coming to this site? Maybe, maybe not. If the folks from West Lothian can keep us informed on what's happening with Susan, we don't have to go to the tabloids or the TV stations when they stop carrying her. And we can find out sooner when her next appearances and/or records come out.

Once the original video was posted, We the people of the globl village built the momentum for Susan's success. If we truly believe she touched us, we need to keep that momentum going. I've just made a couple suggestions; other people can give a lot more.

For now, we've got another new video to watch, until Susan has a chance to rest & recover.

You are such a fabulous singer and a lovely person. You are the most loved lady in America. We are blessed to hear you sing and can't wait for your CD to come out. You are a winner and such a special person in our hearts. God bless you and thanks for enriching our lives.
Posted by MorgantownWV on May 30, 2009
Have you read how much the bookies made because of the upset win? I am not usually a conspiracy theory guy, but I am not naive either. I would think a phone call vote could easily be manipulated with the right software.

Noelle..never mind, I saw the correct address later. Thanks!
Posted by Mightylikely on May 30, 2009
I thought Susan looked relieved she didn't win, also, and there could be several reasons for it. One could be that she is not obligated to BGT or their summer tour. Another could be that she is fair sporting, and can't have escaped her that by becoming a celebrity on the strength of her first audition, that she had all the press coverage. I have thought she might leave the contest, not because she was unable to handle the stress but because it seemed she had the contest already won and it wasn't fair to the rest. In some ways it was a no-win choice for Susan - to withdraw from the contest so someone who didn't have world-wide fame could have a chance or to stay and compete, which happily for us is the choice she made. After she caught my interest, I went back to familiarize myself with all the acts, and the personalities and stories were heart-wrenching - it must have been more so up close where Susan was. I don't doubt there was a lot more behind the scenes that we don't know. The last week there seem to be a drawing back from Susan among the judges, perhaps because they too were worried that it wasn't fair to the others that everybody was talking about Susan. I'm not sure the uncomplimentary press was an issue; to me it gave a bit of balance for I frankly found it scary that the stories up to then had been all about praising Susan. It was surreal. Diversity was my second choice all along for they are a class act, too, so I don't feel too bad since they were deserving - and I am quite certain we haven't heard or seen the last of Susan. After all, she won the world at the first audition.
Posted by Stilo on May 30, 2009
The one thing I want to reiterate is that no other talent the BGT line up had to deal with the world wide pressure that Susan had to. especially from the American public, Larry King Live, Ophrah Winfrey, Demi Moore & Ashton Kutcher, and despite all this pressure she held her own and delivered an outstanding performance. This is a testament to her as an artist and to the career ahead of her. I am enamored with her voice and talent, she's going to achieve what other artists only dream of. God bless Susan.

Posted by tweek on May 30, 2009
I guarantee the phone lines were rigged on Adam Lambert in his American Idol. My girlfriend and I both tried to vote on two separate #'s...started calling the minute they opened the lines for voting, and in 4 hrs we never got thru one time. What a farse, and they had AT&T. I did not think there was anyway Verizon would do something at BGT. Someone on our site earlier today, hinted at the Bookies did not want to pay a loss on Susan's ticket.
Posted by callingmissboyle on May 30, 2009
Susan came for the singing and stayed for the rebellion. Everything she does in her final performance emphasizes this. My god, this woman knows life! She is phenomenal in her courage and resolve. She looks every bit the Scot in this video. Proud and firm, something we never see these days from anyone. I would compare her to an Indian Brave staring down an invader. The world has been a little bit saved by knowing her. Every now and again, someone slips through the cracks to startle us all. Susan was one such escapee. Her loss was damage control. It was fixed like the Gay contestant on American Idol recently. The public finds itself drawn to people like Susan who speak their minds in this very controlled world, but then our heroes are taken away from us at the turn because they are dongerous precedents. You can see all the manipulation in the judges' words. Susan stood there and knew everything that was going on. Over the last week she has seen into Pandora's box which is an ugly update. After processing all this she will be even more intelligent. WOW!
Posted by musictchr on May 30, 2009
I, too, am feeling deflated that Susan did not win the top spot when I felt that she earned it and deserved it, especially after all the grief she has been put through by the press!!! However, I'm trying to see the bright side of this... Dance groups can't be in everyone's homes. Even if they put out a DVD, who would buy it and sit and watch it? Susan's voice can be with us always when we buy her CDs or download her music onto our iPods or MP3 players or listen to her on YouTube. :-) Susan will long outlive any dance group!! She is our winner for sure! I would also love to see her release a DVD of a live performance. I would enjoy watching that -- it would be like having a concert in your home! :-)

Concerning two of the linked articles in comments above...

The article in the Mirror may be encouraging to some of you, but it is kind of disgusting that so many are clamoring to capitalize on (i.e., take advantage of) her ASAP. They are ready to pounce! She needs a little rest. I hope she gets a much deserved break!

I also have some issues with the article in the Digital Journal. Perhaps there is some truth to this article, but it makes scathing assumptions about things the tabloids have accused her of doing that she may not have actually done. As BGT said, some things were blown way out of proportion. I see holes in the stories. Also, in checking out other articles on this site, I see other issues of credibility.

Do not believe everything you read. Much is exaggerated, much is assumed, and many things are made up!!!
Posted by ndcoop on May 30, 2009
I'm convinced that things worked out for the best. She will be in good hands. I really believe the judges had a genuine concern for her and will guide and take care of her.
Posted by tweek on May 30, 2009
Do the survey on AOL.com it might help Susan's credibility.
Posted by suethenurse on May 30, 2009
There is no way anyone can ever call Susan a "loser!" While she did appear somewhat relieved to hear that Diversity came out ahead (I cannot believe they really won!),Susan will prove to be the real winner in the long run.

She certainly showed she can be a gracious "loser," and I know that she will bring much more favorable attention (especially in the form of money)to the UK than "Diversity" ever will. The press/media know this--but they always really want to smear negativity around.

Susan,my husband and I are from "Music City," and we hope you would consider singing in our new, world class symphony hall in Nashville, Tennessee.

Blessings, Susan, and know that you are most certainly a winner in every way that is important.

SUSAN YOU WON

You won, Susan, because you are unique. You won, Susan, because your voice is divine. You won, Susan, because you are the best. You won, Susan, because a hundred million people at least love you around the world, those who listened to your voice in youtube. You won, Susan, because a singer should only be compared to another singer. You won, Susan, because your first place was snatched from you and from us by the manipulation of telephones, your fans did not have the freedom to vote for you. You won, Susan, because your fame will never end. You won, Susan, because WE LOVE YOU. PLEASE SING FOR US NOW, SING FOR US AND FORGET THE REST.

I AM BACK AGAIN AFTER TAKING A BREAK. I AM TOTALLY DISGUSTED , AND I REPEAT THAT I DON'T THINK THIS WAS ON THE LEVEL. USED SUSAN TO HYPE THEIR SHOW, THEN MANIPULATED IT SO SHE DIDN'T WIN, BUT A GROUP THEY SEE AS APPEALING TO THE YOUNG. WHO SEES THE VOTING FIGURES. NO AUDIT.

I AGREE THAT THIS WILL BE FOR THE BEST FOR SUSAN AND FOR HER CAREER. BUT IT STILL IS AN INSULT THAT A GROUP WITH A NICH APPEAL THAT WILL WILL BE AROUND BRIEFLY AND THEN GONE LIKE SO MUCH OF WHAT PASSES FOR ENTERTAINMENT THESE DAYS IS "CHOSEN" ABOVE A SINGER OF A QUALITY THAT APPEARS VERY RARELY.

We are all waiting to greet you, especially me in Boston. I can't believe what I saw and who they picked for the winner. I guess this show is for the teennie boppers and now much for quality muisic that an adults can enjoy. The more screaming, yelling and jumping you can do, the better they like it, I guess. Well, I for one, like peace and quite, something dreamy and smooth, like your "Cry me a River". Please, please get this music out for us, after you have rested, of course. YOU ROCK. And after the song, when the 2 guys were talking with her she said,to hell with it all ! I'm convinced it was all a set up. Why should we trust the voting to be real. The way they place bets and all. She was the only serious talent ,the rest was nameless acts.Silly stuff, they used her to pull in the ratings.Who would have watched it without her.Not me. Well I don't care anymore. This is why she was disposed of DannyMAC, She was too good and too unique. She was also funny, witty and wise. God forbid we have this kind of precedent these days. What will happen to all the investment in social and commercial brainwashing? Also, people might actually start valuing human life and finding everyone sacred.
Posted by veloflute on May 30, 2009
She has my vote! If I could have voted from the US. Susan, your are terrific and as soon as you put out a CD, I'm buyin' it....

Good luck to you! You keep on dreamming that dream!!

Susan, you were poised, beautiful and sang like an angel. You have touched our hearts and I am so sorry there are those out there who have broken yours. America loves you as does the entire world - it is a big world - and it is awaiting your grand entrance. Bravo! Bravo!

Susan is number 1. Just think, by not winning, her career will have more freedom. She won't be tied to the contract that a winner is tied to. She'll be just as successful if not more. We are behind you Susan............SING ON..Can't wait for that CD. and YES, YOU ARE AMONG FRIENDS!!! We Love You.

Did you notice her last hurrah in the way she showed her defiance at one point in the song. It was where the lyrics say, turn my dream to shame (I think... ) I'll check it out. She didn't waste the opportunity, that's for sure. It was remarkable how she squeezed these loose ends in. She sure IS at home on stage!

Johnnycake, I always thought I was a good writer you are the best, that note to Piers blog was great...great...
Posted by Patricia's Art on May 30, 2009
Right from the start I found the judges to be patronizing. They tell everyone they are the very best act. I think they talk to much. The whole show is fake,a farce. When Piers was telling her he wanted her to win,she pretended her head was getting cut off. She is so smart. I think she gave so many signs that she knew what was going on. Well she did the show anyway and she did it "Her Way". Good for you Susan. We love you all the more for it!
Posted by DannyMac on May 30, 2009
I AM STILL SO ANGRY ABOUT THE HELL SHE WAS PUT THROUGH THIS PAST WEEK. AND THE CONDESCENDING. PATRONIZING WAY SHE IS STILL TALKED TO BY EVERYONE CONNECTED WITH BGT. SHE LOOKED TO ME LIKE SHE WAS AT THE LIMIT OF HER ENDURANCE, AS ANY OF US WOULD BE. AND YOU KNOW, I THINK THIS PAST WEEK HAD SHOWN HER QUITE PLAINLY THAT PIERS, AND AMANDA, AND SIMON WERE NOT HER FRIENDS, THAT THEY WERE JUST PLAYING GAMES. I THINK THE WAY SHE LOOKED AT THEM AND THE THINGS SHE SAID MADE THAT PLAIN. AND YES, SHE WAS GRACIOUS AND DIGNIFIED. I THINK IT IS OBVIOUS THAT SHE ONLY WENT THROUGH WITH THE FINAL NOT TO GIVE THE HYENAS THE SATISFACTION OF RUNNING HER OFF. AND WILL SOMEONE TELL ME WHAT IS IT WITH THIS SPINSTER WORD CONTINUALLY BEING USED BY PIERS, AND THE NEWSPAPERS. IS THAT SOMETHING PECULIAR TO BRITAIN? I HAVE NEVER HEARD PEOPLE OVER HERE ACTUALLY THAT WORD. I'VE ONLY SEEN IT USED IN REALLY OLDER NOVELS OR THOSE PLACED IN OLDER PERIODS. I AM VERY BITTER ABOUT HOW SHE HAS BEEN ABUSED.

Hmmm..

Let's see who makes more money with their CD's and / or DVD's?

Congrats to 'Diversity'. But Susan Boyle ultimately will be the big winner, here.
Posted by Lonnirose on May 30, 2009
I am SO disappointed in our UK friends. How in the world could they possibly choose anyone over Susan, especially some dance act that will be in total obscurity in 10 years or less. My only consolation is that at least she wasn't passed over for another singer. I love Susan and will buy anything she ever records, no matter what I have to give up to do it. My heart is breaking and I have been in tears ever since I heard. How could this possibly happen to our darling girl? What were they thinking!
Posted by Donna T on May 30, 2009
I'm still trying to understand how just the number of votes received can, in any way, be fair to judge a winner. People in the betting business have the money to accuate computer programs and automatically phone votes in for a contestant of their choice to automaticlly satisfy their betting responsibilities, legally! Ordinary Susan Boyle fans do not have this advantage, even with their re-dial button. The "wonder" of this contest is not that Susan did not win. The "wonder" is who would have won if the voting was one vote per person in Britain.
Posted by callingmissboyle on May 30, 2009
The hidden message here is that people who face putting a brain injured child out of his or her misery will say YES to organ donation rather than subject the child to a life of ridicule like "that woman, Susan Boyle." I also have doubts that the Queen will make any overtures to Susan. Look what the Royal family did to Diana because she was outspoken...
Posted by DannyMac on May 30, 2009
I WISH THERE WAS SOME WAY TO PUNISH ALL THE REPORTERS, THE JUDGES AND BGT TRASH AND ALL THOSE WHO ATTACKED HER. I JUST WANT SO BAD TO GET IN THEIR FACE, CUSS THEM OUT, AND BEAT THE LIVING H--- OUT OF THEM, AND THEN STOMP ON THEM A LITTLE. IT WOULD FEEL SO GOOD! THANK GOD SHE IS THROUGH WITH THAT BGT BUNCH. SHE , ISN'T SHE?
Posted by calford on May 30, 2009
I am reading the papers and they are all talking about Susan and very little about Diversity - amazing isn't it? They know where the money is and I wonder if now they are feeling a bit guilty for what they did and said to her...we will never know.

Howdy Pards,

You know, I would almost bet that somebody in that Palace over thar is a member of this here outfit. I'm just an ol' cowhand from the States, but, might I suggest that someone suggest to the Queen that now might be the perfect time for her representative to hand deliver an invitation to Lady Susan Boyle?

She has represented Great Britain well and is now beloved throughout the world. Her dream is to perform before Her Majesty the Queen...today it looks like that dream may not come true. That situation could well be corrected by a direct and personal invitation to Ms. Susan.

And, if I may be so bold, we have all come to know her as Lady Susan Boyle...she has earned that title...and I'd kinda like to respectfully request that you consider that Your Majesty. Susan Boyle is beloved throughout the world and there is no one more deserving to have her dreams come true.

Like I say, I'm just an ol' cowhand from the States... and a Susan Boyle Fan through and through. But, I reckon there's a few hundred million more of us scattered around the world who think this fairy tale needs a truly happy ending. Thank you Your Majesty.

Adios for now. Talk to ya on down the trail.

Bohemian Spirit wrote: "Make no mistake: She loves to sing, even now. It's not singing she's rejecting. Rather, she's realized, in these short seven weeks, that her true dream is not to be a "celebrity" for Britain's Got Talent but to be a professional singer. She doesn't belong in that circus sideshow; she belongs on the stage, doing serious singing--with a little kick of fun, now and then."

OMG, I couldn't agree with you more. I am beginning to realize despite my initial disappointment that our prayers have been answered. Something more important and better lies in Susan's future. She doesn't need to be involved in all this circus stuff. We, her fans, will buy her CDs and come see her when she graces us with her performances.

I want for Susan happiness and a good life. She carried through and finished the show and now she is free to do things her way.

I am very happy for her. And please keep this site open so we can all stay in touch and hear about her. I am so tired of all the negativity I run into on other sites and here we can love her without being criticized. As Tommy put it so beautifully, we're family here. We're Susan's extended family. Thank you all for being here!

From what I am reading, it looks as though Simon's company has or will sign her for a 6 mil. contract....wish she could wash her hands of all three......they have catapulted to fame because of her and they will continue to use her singing for monetary reward. Shame on them - the lot of them!

I love Susan, and she was the best talent. She is the one who brought BGT the big audience! She was the Star of the show! Susan Boyle is in a class by herself, all the world knows it, and her performance tonight was absolutely stunning !

Well, I just hope she gets tons of fan mail and flowers. She deserves to be showered with recognition after all she has been through. I wrote on the BGT site and on Peirs blog that I thought she was treated desrepectfully on their show and shabbily too. I told them she brought me to their show but I will never watch that show again. But I will follow Susan's career. I hope others will speakout against her shabby treatment too!

Would never have found BGT w/out Susan Boyle. Thanks, Susan. I'm about your age, & you've inspired me to follow a dream that's been on hold for 20+ years. It's now coming to pass, & I thank you for the inspiration. You've displayed great courage in using the talent God has given you, no doubt to His delight, & to ours. That's the only victory you need. Julian-the same is absolutely true for you. You're no "nearly man" or bridesmaid. You're singularly gifted. Believe it, exhale, & shine!

Neither of theses comments did I find offensive nor demeaning to anyone or any act. They simply stated an opinion. What's going on at BGT?
Posted by Patricia's Art on May 30, 2009

I will feel better if I go to the BGT site and voice my opinion also. I have never watched their show, will never tune in again and am sorry they all profited at Susan's expense. The British tabloids are not happy unless they are either killing a princess or deriding the true talent of one of their own - unless it is a hip-hop group with horrible language and noseclips.

It would have been too clinical for Susan to have won, she did not have to win the the show to move on to bigger and better things if she wants to, judging by her body language today she looked fed up. Pack your bags Susan and move to America, at least they appreciate you more there than what they do here at least you will be far away from that talantless slapper Lily Allen. I am sure the queen will be happy to see yet another cream of our crop bunch of losers dancing about in the name of top talent.

And speaking for many, I can't wait! Love and warmest wishes from California.

Well done Susan. You are a winner no matter where you placed. I think Diversity really earned their winning title. Diversity's routine was flawless (sorry flawless you lost that title) and it showed how dedicated they were from the beginning.

As for Susan, second place is awesome. She sang the song better than her audition and she has improved in her vocals. I think the break really did her well, time to focus, time to gain control over her emotions and it paid off.

No matter what happens now, all 10 acts go on the BGT tour in June, (poor Susan she has 2 weeks rest and has to be separated from Pebbles once again.) but she will get to sing and share her god given talent with all of Britain.

This will be my last time watching BGT because of what happened last night with Hollie's second chance, and how they picked her over Gregg, I felt like it was a set up by Cowell because he loves drama.

One thing I will agree with him is that any age is allowed in a talent competition, as long as they are mentally ready for it, then they should entre. If there was an age limit, say 16 years old like American Idol, we would never have seen the beautiful talented Andrew Johnston. He is the other angelic voice that came BGT. I have bought his CD because he's a brilliant singer.

Susan's career is now on it's way. She will record a CD and I've read it will be 5 million pounds record deal. I think that's far better than say 100,000. Ok, so she doesn't get to sing before the royal family, but really, sh will some day, and that's all that matters.

I do believe Susan sang tonight in honour of her mother, and thats why it was so powerful. I also read that Cowell had her family flown out for emotional support. Which I think was an awesome idea, considering she came second place.

I'm glad she's getting the support she needs. I wish she had this years ago when her temper would ramp up, she might have had a chance sooner in life with her singing career.

I am so proud of her, congrats to you Susan for showing the world that you are a winner and has class. YOU knocked those bullies down with that magical voice.

Love you always, Dorina

Britain's got talent all right, but do Britains know from talent? I didn't see the troup perform and never will, but I feel sure it is off to a dazzling career making dance videos for distribution all over the world,..... or something. You Brits sure know how to pick 'em! I understand they had over 12 million hits on Youtube.

Right, Chubby56, it wasn't necessary for Susan to win and actually turns out to be a blessing, bec she doesn't have to remain tied to BGT anymore.

If you want to see some more encouragement and outpouring of support for Susan, go to BGT's web site and read the comments under the article "Susan and Julian are Gracious in Defeat."

http://talent.itv.com/news/story/item_100226.htm

The majority of the comments are in support of her and there is so much disappointment that she didn't win. But there are many encouraging comments about her and to her.

One commentor says, "Does anybody know Diversity's fan site?"

Others said things such as: Who has the power to move you like Susan Boyle? Susan is the winner of "The World's Got Talent."

There are many encouraging and poignant comments.

Hello and good morning to all Susan' fellow supporters around the world. Today is the 31st of June 09, it is freezing in Sydney, Australia, that is the reason I made a few mistakes in my previous comments. It is about 11 hours ahead of Britain. I didn’t see the show last night, however I like Susan to know that you are already a winner in my heart. I pray for your happiness. To all Susan's supporters who are disappointed with the out come, do not be, may be this is how it meant to be, because winning BGT is only a small step toward a brighter career and responsibility. So I hope you will use this influence that you have right now to your advantage to help others. Millions of people around the world had their says and supports for you, so keep going and continues to do what you are doing. You are amazing in your final performance. And I said it before that there is no need to proof again. There is no need to acknowledge by BGT, people in Britain, or the press. Your action has spoken for itself, and the world acknowledge that. God bless you Susan. Have a well deserve rest and take care. I'm also looking forward to your CD. Chris, Australia.

Susan, come to America. Obviously the UK doesn't know talent when they see it. I am totally ticked off! Susan was the best and deserved to win it all. I cannot understand what they were thinking, but I don't like it and I don't feel very gracious right now about congratulating Diversity. Susan is far more gracious than I.
Posted by fudgemeister on May 30, 2009
Time for economic sanctions against the British. How dare they treat our beloved Susan this way! AOL poll shows 3 out of 4 people think she was robbed! With that percentage it is impossible to imagine Perversity winning!!!

One more comment I read on BGT:

Susan, you did much more for any of them than they did for you!

I'm glad I came back here. I was posting and reading everyone else's posts right after the results, but as the evening wore on I found I was getting more and more depressed. I really did not understand the depth of my emotional involvement with this little Scottish woman! Was sitting through dinner with my husband and just felt like bursting into tears like Hollie and demanding a do-over! Intellectually I know that NOT winning will be better for Susan's career in the long run. But emotionally, I just wanted her to have that public validation for the world to say that she is #1. I feel like those people who thought she was "worthless" can still think, "Well, Susan, see, so you had a good song, but you're still not the best." To me and all of us here she is number one, but I don't really know how much of that gets through to her. If she's only reading the newspapers with all the negative press. I just hope she achieves amazing success and has wonderful opportunities open to her now. Because she is truly special and I hope more than anything that she somehow knows that. Anyhow, reading some of the new posts that have come in later has helped me. I wish Susan could see these!!!!!!

Calling all fans to ask Paul to change the head topper of this site. I think BGT should come off and just have pictures of Susan up there for the world to see. BGT has received way too much publicity from Susan. Please change it Paul. Thank you!!

I hope Susan is on her way home know for a rest that is way over due. I know the quiet nights with Pebbles are over but hopefully she will have some soon. I agree, she looked very tired and down on the show and Susan deserves only the BEST from a world that she brought up in spirit with her Angelic voice. We love you Susan!!!

This reminds me of the video I posted, for songs we wish Susan would sing, a beautiful song by Laura Branigan, Didn't we almost win it all. She may not have won the competition, but she did and has won our hearts, and support, one tiny glich is that she doesn't sing in front of the Queen this year, but who's to say it can't happen in the future? Everything we do in life is measured in small victories, and with each of those we build up ourselves. Susan's just starting on a fantastic journey as a world wide musical super-star. She'll be received everywhere she goes from now on by mobs of people. All wanting to touch her, just to get a small piece of what she's experiencing. I know she'll be a world sensation so very soon, I just hope she comes by when she learns to use a computer to visit with us. Those who have decided to stick with her and that winninging isn't always everything.

Howdy Pards,

Susan's home is in Scotland. Fellers I know we are upset at this "second place" thing. But, let's remember, it wasn't ALL of Britain that voted against her. If fact a vast number of folks from Britain voted FOR her. Susan has brought us together in kind of a world wide family... let's not blame anybody now for anything. Let's move forward in a positive way from this point...sharing the love and the grace that Susan shared. She has a bright and wonderful future, let's concentrate on that and start feelin' the magic again. I, for one, love the folks in Susan's hometown who have been behind her 100% from the get go. Frankly I consider it an honor to be a member of this here outfit with all you folks scattered around the world. Let's deal with this in a positive way pards. Susan has WON a couple hundred million hearts!

Americans love an underdog who does great things by sheer talent and moxie - Susan has both of them. Susan, please board the first flight to the states and sing for us - you are our winner !! Can't wait for your first album of rippin' show tunes !! Love, Yankee Girl

Susan, I'm from the U.S. Believe me, if we would have been allowed to vote from here, you would have surely won! You are a sweetheart who I hope will continue on to a wonderous singing career! Your Angelic voice is a true gift from God. Thank you ever so much for entering BGT and introducing yourself to all of our hearts! May you receive every blessing in all that you do! Patti, New Jersey, USA.

As soon as she gets signed on to do theatre - I will fly to the UK or to NYC to see her! Thanks for sharing your beautiful voice and boisterous personality - very inspiring!

Dear Susan, if AMERICANS had been permitted to vote, DONE DEAL. You were the subject of endless conversations here, so huge & warm was our response to your singing and you. I went into Manhattan for a rheumatology checkup, at a major teaching hospital. And what did my specialist want to discuss? Well, obviously, YOU, your audition performance. Next my PC doctor did an onsite visit, and more of same... THANK YOU for singing to our world, brightening it, and making it a more exciting place. With our very best wishes to you, from White Plains, NY, USA.

I agree Wild Ol' Dan, but for a tree to grow they need to be pruned from time to time to allow for a healthy growth. Changing the banner on the site to reflect more of a positive and Pro-Susan, environment is all we are asking. Maybe a banner with the Scottish Country side would do nicely, or of Loch Lomond.

"WORLD HAS TALENT" she would have won and she has our hearts and i am glad she has at least 2 weeks a break now and see her pebbles again!! cat was quite alone for a while. she will have a great future and this dancers how long will they be in business??

i wish i could blow this off and recognize its the best for Susan, but my heart is hurting in a sad way!!
Posted by Lonnirose on May 30, 2009
I will NEVER feel the same about the UK! Susan deserved to win, especially over some dumb dance group that will no doubt be totally obscure in a year. Susan's talent is forever. I am so MAD! We should boycott all things British! And I agree that we need to take the BGT heading off our fansite. They have let us down big time!
Posted by MJ from USA on May 30, 2009
I agree Paul can you change the header of this site? Take down Britain's got Talent (i'm so angry at britain right now anyway).

BACK TO SUSAN...

imagine if Susan sings in Las Vegas? total sold out performance! I'm so glad simon is rushing for her to capitalize as soon as possible. She deserved it. everyone else already capitalized on her! Susan is truly the clear winner who was robbed! Love you susan!

I JUST RAN TO THE DRUGSTORE, & BOUGHT A CARD FOR SUSAN, IT SAYS WOW! ON THE OUTSIDE & HERE'S TO YOU ON THE INSIDE. SOME OF YOU MIGHT BE RIGHT ABOUT THE SHOW BEING FIXED, WITH BOOKIES IN THE PICTURE!, HEY, LOOK AT THE POLITCAL ELECTIONS!!!
Posted by Donna T on May 30, 2009
If you listen closely to the lyrics, the way Susan is expressing her feelings in the song, if she changed "tigers" to "tabloids," I think she would have given the British press a message!

Yay! I just put myself on the alert list on amazon.com to be notified when her CD is available. There are some nice comments there as well. Here's the link to the comments. One person suggests that if you want to send a note to her, just addressing it to Susan Boyle Blackburn, West Lothian, Scotland, EH47 and it will get there! By the way the "placeholder" cover art for her CD is just adorable!!!

When I watched Susan sing I cried tears of joy for her, that she was able to pull it off after the hellish week she has had. Then I heard she did not come in first, I refuse to say she lost, she lost nothing, she is a winner for herself and for all her fans around the world. I was upset at first, but now after reading all this I agree she is much better off. She can go home and crash and get some much need rest, center herself, and get on w/her career at her own pace, when and where she wants, not what someone else wants for her. I am old enough to remember Kate Smith, she was not very attractive and a large woman but boy when she opened her mouth and belted out songs, especially God Bless America, I got chills, and she had a career right up until she died. Susan my dear, you have a lifetime of success ahead of you and nobody deserves it more. I pray that God gives you the peace and serenity you need, the career you want and deserve. Please know how much we all love you. I am already on the list to buy your first CD. I hope a DVD comes out too, I am sort of tired of having to watch you on a computer screen, I want to see you on my TV!!!! God bless you Susan, and you have shown all those fools who said you were not a worthwhile person, you are amazing, I love you and your talent. You take care and God Bless from Darcey in Charlotte, NC USA

What bothers me most is the tabloid media b.s.. I made the mistake of going to the "Daily Mirror", for the first time. It will be my last time.

For those of you who were not able to watch Susan sing in the finale, I am posting here the comments from the 3 judges after she sang. This information comes from an article that will appear in the next issue of 'People Magazine.' Quote from 'People:'

The judges were more effusive. In the words of Piers Morgan, she sang the song "better than you did last time" and "that, to me, was the greatest performance in Britain's Got Talent history. I loved it." He, like fellow judges Cowell – who was famously stunned when he first saw her – and actress Amanda Holden were on their feet at the end of her performance.

With applause dying down, Holden told her, "Susan, I have never heard such powerful, confident vocals. You sang it so well this evening. You have been under an enormous amount of pressure but you did it, girl. Simon had a tear in his eye and I have never seen that before."

And Cowell said, "You had the guts to come back here tonight, face your critics and you beat them, and that's the most important thing. I've got to know the real Susan Boyle – which is not the person I've seen portrayed in the media – who is still a very nice shy person who just wants a break. I absolutely adore you."

Now, I have a question and hope someone will answer. What is a "tube of smarties?" I really don't know, lol.

Greetings from New Zealand. I have watched the finals of Britain's got Talent and watched an amazing show.Diversity's performance was awesome! Susan, Lady Boyle's performance was equal to the best I have ever seen. Susan Boyle has been God's gift to me at a difficult time in my life. This is her BEGINNING. Could someone please give me her address. I'd like to give her a big kiss ...

I WON'T BUY A CD OF SUSAN SINGING, FROM COPIES OF IT OFF THE INTERNET BECAUSE I WANT SUSAN TO GET THE MONEY FOR IT, NOT THE USERS!!!
Posted by QM on May 30, 2009
Congratulations to Susan for a fabulous performance! She looked stunning, did a wonderful rendition of her "theme" song, outdoing her audition, with more feeling, more depth, more power.

Diversity is a very good group of dancers, (and I don't really like street dancing!) One of the members does all the choreographing, and the dancing is extremely imaginative. However, as others have noted, you can't pop a cd of their work in your car while you're driving and enjoy their dance. There might be a dvd of their dancing available in future, but it's not something you can play while you're reading or cooking, or sewing, or driving, and still enjoy it. And their dancing doesn't appeal to the age range that Susan's singing does, from teens to those in their 90s. Susan's fame will outlast this group of quite talented young men. They'll eventually break up, get into other fields, perhaps the choreographer will make a name for himself working for other acts. But in the long run, Susan will be the most successful. Even now she is. Few headlines are talking about Diversity winning, but they are all talking of Susan coming in second, and of her multimillion dollar contracts ahead of her. Way to go, Susan!

I am telling you all; the more I think about it, the more I believe there is some sort of conspiracy going on! Here is the undisputable facts. Fact #1--AOL poll says 3 out of 4 think she was robbed! Fact #2--betting in Britain was overwhelmingly for Susan. Fact #3---Over 200 million hits on youtube! Realize that people who would bet on Susan would NO DOUBT be VOTING for Susan!! That is just common sense!! Something is not kosher here!!!!
Posted by tweek on May 30, 2009
Susan, look at it this way. The public does not believe all this crap. You are smart, wity, and now charming. You are going to sell boatloads of CD's. And, you know what... it seems the media, is not going to let go of you because you are such a popular comodity in the entire world. But, that is just going to put you in higher demand. You could probably wind up with your own talk show!

Wild Ol'Dan - I know you mean well and want us to calm down but many of us feel the need to vent our frustration and then we can move on. We just love our Susan soooo much. If Oprah wasn't on summer break, She would be performing on her show next week - guarantee it.
Posted by Donna T on May 30, 2009
I do NOT blame the British people! They are good and kind. I still think, the voting rules are responsible. After the semi-finals, the determination of the winner in the finals are completely controlled by unfair voting. "Smarties" are M&M like candy that comes in a tube.
Posted by PIGGIE on May 30, 2009
Hey, Retired, I didn't know that was yours! I was wondering if the artist was part of this group. I wish she uses it for the official release. It really captures her magnificently. You are very talented!

Susan, congratulations!!! I could NEVER have done what you did, going on the Finale, and singing so incredibly well!! You have not only a fabulous voice, and a great sense of humor -- but courage, the likes of which I've rarely seen. Thank you for the joy you've brought into my life. I've already pre-ordered your (yet-to-be-produced)first CD on Amazon.com! You will sell million or more, Susan, I know you will. You were so gracious about the dance group that came in first place (though you still beat out 81,999 other acts, please don't forget!!:-) Since there were 10 of them, they will each get 10,000 pounds; and since they're so young, they can probably each put their money toward education. You will make far more money than they will, over the coming years. God has a way of making everything come out right, in the end. Well, I hope you're fast asleep, dreaming happy dreams, and able to celebrate your amazing accomplishment! I love you, Susan!
Posted by Debp on May 30, 2009
Of course I wanted Susan to win, but perhaps 2nd place will give her an opportunity to record/perform at her own pace? I hope she gets a really good manager to help her.

Susan, you have a truly magnificent voice....a gift from God. Can't wait to buy your CD!!
Posted by YorkieMama on May 30, 2009
I was so thrilled with your final performance. You hit every note stronger and better than when you sang your first arrangement of the song. I'm sorry that you didn't take 1st place.....But - your future is so much brighter than the limitations imposed upon a dance group. You are able to bridge a broad band of musical arrangements, you have a wonderful vocal range and I just see you being able to do anything you want to now with the talent you have. Looking forward to your first album - and who knows if you ever go out on tour and come to Tacoma/Seattle Washington you have a large following that would love very much to see you perform in person. Best of wishes - In Christ

All my current art is on http://luft46.com ("luftart" section) devoted to pre and World War II German aviation design projects, you'll know my art, its the only "portrature" kind posted, rest is 3-D graphics of the kind you'd see in video games.

Howdy Suzanne,

A tube of "smarties" is a tube of candy. A while back we were talkin' about sendin' Susan a rose with a tube of smarties attached. All because, when asked about YouTube, she jokingly said "The only tube I know is a tube of smarties." I hope we carry through with the plan.

Adios for now. Talk to ya on down the trail.

Posted by PWattis on May 30, 2009
I've watched her final performance several times now. She is so wonderful. She really showed her versatility by doing a much more introverted interpretation than at her audition. I was as if she did it this way because she wasn't feeling the support of either the audience or the judges like she did at the audition.

I just composed this letter to Blackburn and the Happy Valley Hotel Pub which Susan frequents. I'm sending it off on Monday.

To Blackburn residents and particularly, the Happy Valley Hotel Pub:

I live in Texas, USA, and I'm just one of over 20,000 members of Susan Boyle's Fan Club, which membership is increasing daily.

I was saddened to read in the news that ya'll are reluctant to receive mail, etc, for Susan Boyle, but happy to hear that the pub frequenters have now been brushing their teeth regularly.

I am sure that now that Susan's dream is being fulfilled, she'll be happy to come around or better yet, send someone around to take that grievous burden off your hands. Frankly speaking, people the world over would all love to send Susan thousands of roses, a boatload of tubes of Smarties, her own computer and someone to teach her how to use it, and millions of "Best Wishes" and "Good Luck" cards, but.......we don't have SUSAN'S ADDRESS.

The whole world is gobsmacked by Susan Boyle's talent, winning personality and graciousness. To us she's a god-given Rainbow Angel, Oh-Oh-Celtic and Licensed to Thrill, sent to blow away the clouds of misfortune hovering over all.

And anyone that gives any credence to what the "Richard Cranium" tabloid mongrels have been writing about Susan obviously have their collective heads up a tunnel for which there is no light at the end.

Susan has shown us that at least the world's populace, no matter what ethnicity, religion, creed, nationality or personality...can unite as one over something. It's a beginning of earth-shaking proportions.

When ya'll see in the news that people all over the world are lining up for tickets to her concerts and to buy her CD's (they're already putting Susan's first CD on their wish list at Amazon.com), you'll know that the whole world loves Susan. She is beloved by most everyone globally.

I only hope she once again sticks to her own personal singing style, instead of allowing herself to be molded into more contrived renditions for BGT's purposes. Her own personal style is what caused everyone to fall in love with Susan. Her personal singing style, microphone in hand, which she's obviously comfortable with, is more powerful and more moving than anything else they had her do. In my book, BGT's voice coach was va-ka-ka for Susan.

I'll get off my soapbox now and let ya'll get back to whatever ya'll were doing before I interrupted you.

Sincerely, Noelle The Woodlands, Texas

posting in Califoria, USA...

Susan, you are my heroine, my joy, my love, no matter the outcome of BGT. You are a professional singer now, and always. You have brought so much to the world with your love of singing. Let us now know that your DREAM is fully realized..

Also, when you go to a Yahoo home page, it is SUSAN's photo you see, and not Diversity...the text may say who won, but the photo of Britains Got Talent news shows Susan's photo!

Also, I noticed right before the BGT men annouced the winner, that Susan was saying (maybe under her breath) the word, "Diversity". I read lips a bit, so you can see that she was hoping that Diversity would win, and she could settle back into a life of being her true self, and a professional singer. Check out the 'BGT winning announcemnt video' and you will see Susan saying the word 'Diversity', right before the winner was announced.

Susan is the true winner in the hearts of the world. I am sorry that the British press was so cruel, mean, and unthoughtful, and satan like in being exploitive for profit.

But, Susan triumphed to victory in spite of her cruel critics. She stayed to the end, and gave us the performance that rocked the world, and hit the ball all the way out of this universe.

I love you Susan, for your bravery of spirit, for your depth of love for humanity, and for your true professional singing. I loved your performance tonight, and know that you are a successful, professional singer now and always.

God bless you now and always,

Love to you forever, Joan in California, USA

My Dearest Susan: I missed your performance on the finals of BGT because my cat got sick and I had to bring her to the vet. However, I listened to you sing on my cell phone when you performed because my friend called me at the vet's, turned up the volume on her PC, and I was able to listen to you live. You are a magnificent vocalist. What you do to a song is absolutely beautiful and reaches deep inside to a place people never let anyone near. I just want you to know that people all over the world are signing up now for notification when your first CD is released. When you come to Boston to do a concert, I will be there along with as many of your fans that they will be able to fit into one space just to see and hear your singing live and in person. What a privilege is was to hear your singing and to get to know you a little bit because of your courage to follow your dream and appear on BGT. Much love and happiness to you always, Susan.

This is a perfect example of when a loss is really a win. So she didn't rate particularly high on BGT. Big Deal. She's free to set her own career at a pace she's comfortable with. Remember all those famous people who want to sing with her? Ooooh La La! Now that's an invitation the "winners" won't be getting. And the talk show circut, and the magazine covers, and the concerts, which she will have total control over. Sweet! Congrats Susan. Your dream has come true. You've rocked the audience. The world wide audience. We thank you and look forward to your long and productive career. My fondest wish is to hear you in concert. On to the next adventure! Signed, A Fan in the USA

It was fixed..Even Dec and Ant said in their own way Susan should have won. Lets be politcally correct give it to an inner city dance group,,they were good, they get 100 grand Susan is the top singer and she gets millions. Makes everything look kosher...We know Susan should have won...
Posted by Betz on May 30, 2009
I know Susan has a great future ahead of her.I know in my heart she should have won, we all do. When the Dance team fizzels out whoever voted for them will look pretty stupid. BGT will look stupid. Whoever wants to be a contestant on a talant show come to America to do so. America knows talent. American people will vote for the one that really deserves it, no matter where they are from. Susan you are the winner . I am not against their country itself. But something went terribly wrong with that vote.

Dr. Earl, thanks for the assurance that Susan has a strong possibility to sing for Her Majesty. I've thought a lot about this since the BGT result was announced.

Noelle, thanks for the address. I'll be using Talkbackthames instead of that pub.

I have only 2 hours sleep, from post-Susan-angst. Not easy to be a fan for the first time in one's life. ;) I've enjoyed reading all your comments. But I couldn't find back-comments anywhere.

Incidentally, in my focus of Susan, whilst doing my grocery at my nearest shopping centre, there was this guy with his mobile craftstore selling nifty items. I saw exactly what I wanted amongst others, 2 stones with words, one says "Dream" and the other, "Hope." I immediately told the guy I wanted it, and mentioned Susan to him. He said, "Susan Boyle?" My wife adores her too. Instead of $14 each item, he gave it to me for $10@. The 2 stones with "dream" and "hope" are now sitting alongside my flat monitor.

Dear Susan - your soaring has just begun... soar like wings of eagles with that majestic song in your heart. We are behind you all the way. Tel, from Sydney with much love.

Flying her to Czech Rep to record with an orchestra next week, America is fighting to get an interview of Susan, there's a movie deal, advertisements and record deals. and Tour in America. she'll surpassed Paul Pott's money made. Wish I could agree with you Noelle but there NEVER are minuses for entertainment media people, they'll feed off of any rotting dead, dying or 1/8th alive living corps!

Susan is 100% alive and NOT going away; our only weapon against these vermin is not buying their crap (after advidly reading it for 38 years I'd boycotted the Sacramento Bee newspaper in 2002 when they went after George W. Bush and I was still a Liberal Democrat back then...) but "throwing spitballs righeous indignation at them ain't futile!

I think Susan has one of the best voices I've heard in ages. The media had a frenzy with her, and wasn't always kind. Here in Canada, the news reports re: her blow up at the hotel, mentioned that two journalists wouldn't stop badgering her. I can understand why she blew up at them. It took a lot of courage for her to get back up on stage for the final, and she showed everyone what a fantastic voice she has. All the best to Susan, and I'm sure we'll be listening to her records soon.
Posted by Donna T on May 30, 2009
Susan got alot out of this whole deal really, and good for her. She said her dream was to "make a record, perhaps be in a show and sing before the Queen." There was never any mention of winning the contest. The contest was only the conduit for her career. She'll make more than one record, she has already been asked to be in a show, and the Queen, quite frankly, can't ignore her, even if shw wanted to. So, instead of feeling bad, I am happy for Susan and can't wait for the CD!

Ok It's all over and done with. It's not what I wanted, but I hope Susan laughs all the way to the bank. I hope all the people who put her down and caused her to almost have a break down get a life. Congratulations to Diversity, they seem like a fine bunch of young humans, good luck to them in the future. All acts did well--it takes guts and stamina to perform in front of a live audience. CatherinefromSD, thanks for posting the article--got a lump in my throat (not a furball)--just happiness that from here on all of the good apples will be falling on SuBo's side of the fence. She didn't look happy during the introduction, she didn't smile or wave--exact opposite from her audition. BGT really messed with her mind and soul. Am sure she just wants to get the frito out of there. Didn't get first place but ironically she is a more influential world force than all 2 1/2 judges combined (I consider Morgan, 1/2 of a human). Blessings to you SuBo, rest you mind and body, celebrate with your friends and family. We're all raising a toast to you right now darling. Licks & Lovebites from San Antonio, TX (it's 9:07 PM)

ALOT OF TEENS VOTED FOR DIVERCITY, I'M SURE
Posted by fano123 on May 30, 2009
I don't think this is a time to be sad or angry. I truly believe the best is yet to come for Susan.

Simple fact is that once her YouTube webhits went north of 20 million, BGT needed Susan more than she needed them. Think of the ratings and $$$ disaster if she dropped out of the competition.

My favorite part of all the Susan Boyle experience was during the audition when she confidently looked into the camera and claimed "I'm going to rock this audience", and then seeing the sheer joy on her face when she did.

It seems to me that this is her first love, and something she can look forward to without the BGT circus and its inherent nonsense.

Can you imagine how much she is going to love rocking an American audience (seems we've already taken adoption papers out on her)!!!

BGT was just the appetizer. Here comes the main course!!!

Ok It's all over and done with. It's not what I wanted, but I hope Susan laughs all the way to the bank. I hope all the people who put her down and caused her to almost have a break down get a life. She will always be #1 in my book. Thank you Susan to bringing joy to my ears, heart, and soul. Best Wishes. America LOVES YOU. North Carolina.

Posted by k9fan on May 30, 2009
I think it was a mistake for Susan to have sung the same song twice in the competition. It suggests a lack of breadth, which we know is not true from the past songs that have been uncovered, but I think that not singing something different may have affected the voting.

Unlike some others, I don't blame the British voters for not choosing Susan regardless. I think it's appropriate that they voted for the act that they thought most deserved to win. (I think that pitting such different types of acts against each other is probably inappropriate, though -- singers naturally have long and varied careers, but how many times does a person want to see a specialty dance group such as Diversity? Not that they're not excellent, but their value to an audience is more in the novelty, I think.)

I'm very happy that Susan was so gracious about coming in second. That shows real class. Now I hope she enjoys the fruits of her fame for many long years without any more of the angst of the past week.

That's right songbirdwatcher, its ALL about demographics!

Susan DOES have a youth following but if this website is a clue she as a GIGANTIC one in the over 40 crowd and I'm way farther down the road beyond those folks!

As someone mentioned, it is SUSAN'S picture on the Yahoo page about BGT. I hopped over there to read the article and there are a ton of comments but my eyes are so tired from too much computer use today. I read up through page 4 of the comments and they are almost ALL in favor of Susan! Whatever popularity BGT garnered through Susan has been shot to h**l with this upset.

I just have to echo what Bohemian Spirit posted above. The difference between how Susan looked before and after the results is amazing. She looked so relieved and happy and so very gracious that I feel lucky to be one of her fans today. Rock on Susan! You deserve the best!

***********************************************

From Bohemian Spirit:

"Susan gave a beautiful, nuanced, professional performance tonight.

Susan, you have led us all through a 7 week course or the 'hero's' journey. You have shown us you are a heroine, who has seen the dark night of despair, who has been aided by helpers, and who has triumphed over all that you have endured, from being an unknown, to world famous professional singer. Susan, you are an enlightened soul to be able to go through this whole experience and emerge at the other end, as a winner in the hearts of the world, as the hero/ heroine in the eyes, heart, and soul of humanity.

Susan, you have pulled me out of the deepest depression from a death in my family on April 18th. I owe you the greatest gratitude for coming out and singing to the world, for your Mum. Your Mum is smiling down from heaven, and cheering you on to achieve your Dream of being the professional singer that she always knew you have been.

We love you Susan, and support you in achieving your Dream, and doing it your way.

God be with you always,

Love to you Susan, and to all your fans,

Joan

Susan

You don't need to win BGT to be a winner. You are a winner!!!!!
Posted by Leslie~N.Falls/Canada on May 30, 2009
The only bright side to this story is that by not winning we (her fans world-wide) will most likely get to see and hear her sooner than we would have otherwise since she won't be tied up with the BGT show for the next year. Hopefully Simon will set about getting her on CD's and a world tour.... I really hope this doesn't hurt her self esteem because she is still amazing...regardless....

Could be mina; Susan sings in classic "hand off" show style, only thing missing with tonight's performance is her singing into an RCA 44A or 44B/BX studio mike of the kind Elvas was popularly photographed with: http://www.coutant.org/ribbons.html

Agree completely with Greenockguy. It's redistribution of wealth from the party who earned it to those deemed more 'needy'. 20 (or however many - who can count 'em?)inner city kids can split the 100k, go on tour, then dissolve into the night (what's the market for street dance groups?), while Susan goes on to make millions. At her own pace and on her own terms, which seem to be important to someone like Susan. I just signed up on Amazon to be notified of Susan's upcoming disc - no such option for Diversity, Shaun Smith, Shaheen, Hollie, you name it. Speaks volumes, doesn't it?

I believe I feel the fog / funk lifting.

Susan Boyle "Sweet Validation" Original Public Domain CD-DVD Fantasy Cover Art (front & back)

100% Non Commercial - Free Of Charge Images

Two days ago I'd created this original - not pirated Photo Shopped - art for posting on susan-boyle.com and have updated it for Susan's performance tonight; had ask the site administrator if he'd post it first on this website but think he's REALLY busy right now so am making these URLs available pointing to a public domain graphic arts website for y'all to download and enjoy:

Again, this is PUBLIC DOMAIN art and is marked as such which means it has unrestricted public use. As there are no CDs-DVDs specific to Susan Boyle that have been published yet there are no copyright issues.

Noelle - It's my understanding that you can send cards to this address: Susan Boyle (From Britain's Got Talent) Blackburn West Lothian Scotland, United Kingdom

Those who are interested can probably also find a florist to deliver there, but it might be wise to verify that she is home first.

BTW - I thought that in terms of dance talent, Flawless was much better than Diversity. I didn't think Diversity was as sharp in terms of their dance talent or synchronization.

On another note, what was that getup on Amanda tonight. I thought it was someone else entirely.

I have NEVER heard a singer sing a song, as you did with I Dreamed a Dream, that forced me to put my head back in my chair, close my eyes, and weep. NEVER. Who is going to remember a street dancing group 2 weeks from now? Nobody. You will go on to the fame you rightfully deserve. Record the songs, and we will come.
Posted by yet another susan on May 30, 2009
If the Queen was a gentle, caring sole, she would grant Susan to come sing for her anyway. Maybe if she had sang a different song she would have won - we'll never know. I don't understand the whole concept when you're comparing apples and oranges but for BGT to figure out. I think Susan will do alright for herself. She signs like an angel and I pray that people will see her for what she really is - a beautiful person. Beauty comes from inside and she has it hands down. Keep going Susan, I for one will keep checking back to see what's in the future for you!!

Susan's gonna make her first six million before the summer's out IF they get her CD out by end of next month, all she has to do is studio record ALL her known recorded works and tease the hell out of us what she's gonna surprise us with, "Flashdance (What A feeling)" remains top of my list followed by "Do you want somebody to love" - eat your heart out Gracie!

She is a very classy and regal lady. She's going to have many good things come her way. I'm definitely going to buy her first CD. She should be proud of her accomplishments and just a wonderful story. All the people at BGT should be thanking Susan for the attention they've gotten the last 7 weeks.

She has the voice and popularity to perform at huge arenas in the States, gigs which could earn her £60,000 per night.” For those who are afraid of reading Mirror articles (can't blame you!!) here is an excerpt from a good one just posted. Finally I'm feeling better about her 2nd place.

This can be a blessing in disguise , while diversity is on the BGT tour . Susan can roll up her sleeves and do some serious recording . BTW , Susan's Dream has come true ; i.e. performing in front of the Queen .

http://entertainment.stv.tv/tv/98283-the-queen-asks-to-meet-susan-boyle/

The Queen asks to meet Susan Boyle Britain's Got Talent's singing sensation Susan Boyle will meet the Queen whether she wins the contest or not.

Her majesty has shocked show bosses by personally requesting an appearance by the Scottish singer at the Royal Variety Performance, says a report in The Sun.

The Queen is said to be have been "bowled over" by Susan's audition performance of I Dream A Dream from Les Miserables.

However, the request could cause difficulties for show bosses if Susan does not win as only the champion of Britain's Got Talent is supposed to have the royal honor.

Susan is said to have been rehearsing "around the clock" to prepare for tomorrow's live finals as she is determined to prove that she can live up to the hype.

A source said: "She's had the world camped out on her doorstep and she's been precision hard. She hasn't had time to meet a man.

"She is determined to show she's more than a 90-second audition and a YouTube clip. She'll have plenty of time for men after the show ends."

Bookies have said that Susan is the "hot favourite" to win and claimed that 75% of bets taken on the show were for the singer.

The last sentence brings me to my last point , with the Bookies looking to lose so much with a Susan victory , any possible shenanigans from these people ?

I never trust televoting anyway. It cannot be possible that Susan did not win. It's the intertwined networking with gambling, pornographic and atrolical sites that Susan as a devout Christian was not allowed to win. The rats, the parasites won again.

Why do you have "free" commercial TV? Because you pay with televoting. That is all.

Susan was a winner from day one. She still is and I just hope that someone looks out for her best interest. She has some pipes!!!!!! It's such a shame that she had to go through all that crap with the media. She may have been a bit shaky to start out, in the semi-finals, but she recovered and it was a win, all the way. I don't know how she managed it. She's been on a pedestal from the beginning, and the nasty media couldn't wait to topple her. Well, she showed them that Scots are made of stronger stuff. She was also very gracious in her congratulations to Diversity. slainte

All this voting in UK strikes me as something VERY suspicious.Somebody out there (maybe bookies, or maybe, somebody else),was SO interested in NOT letting our phenomenal, genius, incomparable Susan win. That Shaheen boy was used by media vultures to concoct some idiotic lie about our Susan, who is the BEST in the whole world!!!! And we have to helplessly watch all this,we, from the USA, being unable to do ANYTHING about it, about all this atrocious unfairness towards the singer, who is destined to become the glory of the world!!!! I still can't come to myself, after reading some of the most horrid things in the UK newspapers, especially Anorak! And we know, that Susan doesn't have a computer, and, therefore, can't read all the positive, supportive, loving emails we sent and continue to send to her, but she sure have read all that horrid newspaper stuff!!!! How can we get our loving messages to Susan as soon as possible,as many of them as possible, for her to know, to feel, how we love and admire her? Maybe somebody knows her brothers, how to get in touch with them, for her to receive our emails ASAP?

We are family now, all of us,Susan's fans - we are Susan's another family.

First, thanks for the live streaming on this website allowing some of us in the USA to view live ... just wish we could have voted! I'm already registered with Amazon.com to be notified when Susan't CDs are available. Eager to purchase her first album and have her make the trip "across the pond" to a thunderous concert welcome!!

Susan is definitely a winner in the USA!!! Hope she does a Christmas album for release immediately after her initial CD debut! Both will be major hits!! She could also be a big hit with kids singing in that "Chipmunk type voice" ...Susan will be blessed with a very Bright Future!

ALSO HE SAID SUSAN SHOULD HAVE CHOSEN A DIFFERENT SONG AS DREAMS HAS ALREADY BEEN HEARD MILLIONS OF TIMES. THE BEST WAY TO MAKE THEM PAY, IS A LOSS OF MONEY!!BOYCOTT THEM PLEASE!

Hi, Susan Boyle,

God blessed us because you exist, you are a super hyper mega angel, Congratulations!!!! You are THE WINNER. Do not worry about money that prize is in the past, it is just like a ´drink change´, only a small coin. Be a minimum bit patient and the fruits of your talent ( a live miracle ) will be at your hands, very soon. Oh God, i can not stop to cry, your are fantastic, shinny lady!!! A honest THANK YOU SO MUCH from Brazil. When will be the next Show?

Posted by Williesmom on may 30 Susan, you sang beautifully in the finale and looked elegant! You were also very gracious when the dancers won first place. I'm sure you'll perform for the Queen one day. In the meantime, pursue your dreams in the theatre. I hope to see you perform live someday. Best wishes. Sue from San Francisco

Susan, your performance was outstanding! Whether you win a competition or not, is not what music is about. You have a wonderful gift in your voice and the way you sing. You are too good for a talent competition and it is time for you to move forward with your dream. I wish you all the greatest success that you can have and I look forward to your new CD. Always maintain your values and don't let anyone change that in you. May God bless you.

re. Shaheen,........I thought he said that Susan was very nice.
Posted by Gypsymoth on May 30, 2009
You know, in the end, placing 2nd is probably the best thing for Susan. Her dream in the beginning was to be a professional singer like Elaine Paige, not a commercial product. I think it is better this way. Plus the winners get 100,000 pounds. That's only $160,000 American dollars. That's really not a lot when you think about it. I'll bet she's got a contract worth a lot more than that! Also, can you imagine what her popularity will do to the village of Blackburn? People will want to visit that part of Scotland because of her- they will want to go to the pubs where she sang etc... Her influence is bigger than you might think!
Posted by mdillow31 on May 30, 2009
I didn't realize we had started a new blog. I agree with evrything Lovebites has said. Also, I want to repost his because we really need to think about all of this. I am not a quitter and neither is Susan.

Susan still is the winner for the following reasons:

i. Diversity only has so many venues they can play at.

ii. Susan has an upcoming recording contract and possibly a movie to her life.

iii. Susan can appear in many more venues than Diversity can such as theatrical appearances and making CD's.

Susan still has a carrer waiting for her. Now for the other:

i. It is very clear that Susan was not over what the media had done to her. I don't think she wanted to be there. They hurt her like others have hurt her all of her life.

ii. I think we all noticed that she was speaking to someone in the crowd and made the statenment , " I am among FRIENDS ?." She clearly has been hurt.

iii. Our Susan Boyle Fan Club should not disband. We need to stay together for Susan and her future.

iv. In the States the runner up has often become No. ! because they had better opportunities than the winner. This is the case with Susan.

Folk, it ain't over. Susan will have deals coming up wether it is with Simon or another agent. We need to continue to stick with her and not disband this fan club. I am disappointed also that she didn't take 1st place but Susan has touched hearts all over the world.

BGT controlled her too much. They should have let Susan be Susan as she was in her audition. Last but not least, thank you to everyone who voted for us that could not vote and than you to the ones who helped all of us to see Susan live. Kudos to all of you. :)

I was just at BGT. The Comment section is for Susan mostly. They are even questioning the vote and claiming it was rigged. So BGT will be reading that. Most are saying Susan should have won and where is Diversity going to play.. not many places... and everyone is waiting to buy Susan's CD's and go to her appearances. Before this is over Susan Boyle will be number 1. :)

Why have you joined this group. You don't have any business here with us. I suggest any and all who have any intent to post derogatory comments here about Susan that you withdraw immediately and don't let the door hit you inthe butt as you go.

Cowell's secret meeting with Susan Boyle

Britain's Got Talent boss Simon Cowell met with Susan Boyle to give her some advice before the final, according to a report.

Britain's Got Talent boss Simon Cowell met with Susan Boyle to give her some advice before the final, according to a report.

An insider told The Star that Cowell was concerned that the pressure had got too much for the 48-year-old and decided to speak to her about the negative comments that have recently surfaced in the media.

Th insider claimed: "Simon turned up to see Susan and made the whole thing very low-key.

"She was thrilled to see him. He's been seriously worried about her, especially in the past few days.

"It's what any boss would do. He just had a cosy chat with her and made her laugh and assured her everything would be fine and that she needed to blot out all the silliness of this week and just focus on her performance.

"She's a lot calmer now and she's told him that she's definitely going to be on that stage."

Cowell confirmed: "This is like a soap opera. I have never known anything like this in my whole career."

He added: "It's crazy."

I'm glad Simon did this BEFORE the show .

I, too am very sorry that Susan didn't win BGT but perhaps it was for the best. She seemed to be in a bit of a daze when she performed and it appeared that she was relieved when she didn't get first place. This dear woman has been through hell over the past couple of weeks and at this stage probably wants nothing more than to get home and relax. Susan, we all love and admire you so much but we also put a lot of pressure on you, wanting you to win. We want you to know that we will continue to care deeply for you, and in whatever route you take, we'll be there for you. You were wonderful tonight and we appreciate the effort you put into this performance. If you do make a CD, we will all be in line to buy it and we will all be thrilled with your progress over the coming years. Thank you, Susan.

In case Susan ever reads this....Susan, you have an extraordinary God given voice that this world would be poorer without. So even though you were not selected in the end, you are most definitely a winner with your adoring fans...me included. So, you GO girl, and may God bless you with more singing engagements than you can possibly meet. I hope to be hearing your voice on radio, television shows, etc very soon. I admire Diversity for their imagination and hard work to put their group together and it is no doubt they are terrific. But they aren't in it with our Susan. I agree that there was something odd about the outcome of the vote. Susan you must be thrilled to bits with your success. You have a dream and by gosh you are fulfilling it. Bravo!! Hope you come to the Canadian part of North America on tour. God bless.

Susan Boyle's real life story to be a movie

http://entertainment.oneindia.in/music/international/2009/susan-life-story-movie-220409.html

London (ANI): Scottish singer Susan Boyle’s rise to fame on Britain’s Got Talent has led to many wanting to make a movie on her life, but show boss Simon Cowell has vowed to produce the film himself.

The 47-year-old virgin has been receiving offers from Hollywood directors, and a host of other countries including Japan, Russia, Brazil and Poland, and movie Bosses are now on the hunt for stars to play her part.

Boyle has already been made an offer by US film-maker Darla Rae, who runs Film-It Productions in Colorado.

“Susan’s real-life story is just what my movie Section B is about – chasing your dream no matter what,” the Daily Star quoted Rae as saying. “When Susan stepped on to the stage and began to sing, tears welled up in my eyes. As I watched her, I felt a connection and realized she would be perfect for one of my films,” she said.

But Cowell is determined not to let the multi-million pound movie deal be handled by anyone but his own production company Syco. “He is as amazed as anyone about how Boylemania has gripped the world,” a source close to him explained.

“Simon can see the business potential in Susan. He’s not only seeing album deals in the UK and the States but also movie and merchandising.

I can hardly wait for Susan's first album. She was already a winner when she sang the first time. What a refreshing personality and beautiful voice. Thank you, Susan Boyle, for giving us your all. You have a bright future ahead.

Where is Susan Boyle, now? Somebosy know?
Posted by DannyMac on May 30, 2009
Since Susan didn't "win", is Simon still going to be in charge of her career? That s--ks, bigtime if so. I disagree that she needs to rush, rush, rush. I think that is a mistake. She needs a manager to plan with her, do a cd, talk with Andrew Lloyd Webber, start looking at tours down the road. Susan's appeal is not going to disappear, she is not a flash in the pan who has to grab while the grabbing is good. Rushing headlong could lead to mistakes. Getting a cd out soon is good, but take things a little easy. I think that would be much better for Susan's wellbeing and happiness too.
Posted by MJ from USA on May 30, 2009
i'm still upset with the result. Susan is clearly the winner who was ROBBED. but Susan did say she always wanted to have a singing career. it was her dream and now her dream has come true. This is not the last we will see of Susan! I can't wait for her CD. I can't wait for her to guest star on UGLY BETTY - i hope that's true. I can't wait to read and see all things Susan Boyle!
Posted by DannyMac on May 30, 2009
God, please don't let Simon Cowell have anything to do with a movie about Susan's life. He will make her into a figure of ridicule and pity, just as they have already been doing. That makes my stomach sick to think about.

After lurking here since viewing Susan's audition, I finally registered, and want to add this... Diversity were good, but where do they go from here?? They can't make CD's, can't be heard on the radio, or anywhere! Whereas Susan....well, need I say more! I also wanted to suggest that every comment on this board be packaged up in some manner scrapbook kind of way, and aent to Susan. It would be a great keepsake for her. Sing on Susan...there are so many awaiting to hear that beautiful voice of yours.

YourAwesome, yes, I feel the same way, emotionally exhausted. Thinking back to those first days of watching Susan's audition on YouTube, "My name is Suan Boyle and I'm going to sing for you today on Britain's Got Talent," and then wow...and then the big letdown tonight. I was so depressed at dinner. Came back to the blog afterwards and reading all the posts here has really helped me feel better, just seeing all the outpouring of Susan-love, and hearing of the big plans for her bright future.

I chuckle every time I hear BGT make the news here in USA -- You hear Susan's beautiful voice and they show part of her performance and only mention the winner, repeating what Susan said.......they barely mention Diversity and don't even show any of their performance. So, now -- who is that won?????
Posted by DannyMac on May 30, 2009
I AGREE THAT SUSAN DID LOOK ALMOST RELIEIVED. I SAY AGAIN THAT DRAGGING THE ANNOUNCEMENT OF THE WINNER AS THEY DID WAS UNUTTERABLY CRUEL AS YOU COULD SEE HER TREMBLING AND I'M SURE TRYING SO HARD TO HOLD IT TOGETHER AFTER A WEEK OF HELL. BUT OF COURSE THEY DIDN'T CARE. SUSAN REALLY SAW THEM FOR WHAT THEY ARE AFTER BEING FED TO THE WOLVES THIS PAST WEEK. A HARD LESSON, A HARD WAY TO LEARN IT, BUT SHE WON'T BE SO ACCEPTING OF PEOPLE AT FACE VALUE IN HER FUTURE IN MUSIC. TOO BAD IN A WAY. CERTAINLY SHE NEEDS TO BE LESS TRUSTING IN THE ENTERTAINMENT WORLD WITH ALL THE SHARKS AND PIRANHAS. BUT THESE WAS SOMETHING VERY PRECIOUS ABOUT HER OPENNESS.

I try to be a good sport, and Susan was certainly gracious, but if Diversity deserved to win, then I am a NY debutante (age 63 and 30 LBS overweight!). I know who must be even more disappointed than me.....Queen Elizabeth. I know in my gut she would have loved to hear Susan. Susan, your voice was as lovely as ever, and your dress was so polished looked. Girlfriend, you really have it together. Get busy making CD's and I will tons of your stuff. I already have a tee-shirt coming in the mail. Susan, you should be so proud of yourself. You are quite the lady. Now that people all over the world have heard you sing, your career is officially launched, and people want to hear any and every song you sing. Love and hugs to you....you're the greatest!

Dearest Susan, You were amazing once again! Your voice is so powerful and your grace is so genuine. There is a reason you didn't win, there's better things waiting for you! I will be watching for your CD and hopefully get to see you when you come to the United States. God Bless You!! Carol in Colorado, USA

Do you think her brother should have pulled Susan out of the competion after her first audition....and made an album then?

This reminds me of Susan

OH YES, SUSAN'S STAR HAS JUST BEGUN TO SHINE. SHE IS JUST AT THE BEGINNING OF A LONG AND GLORIOUS MUSICAL JOURNEY. WE ARE LUCKY. NOT EVERYONE GETS TO SEE SOMEONE OF THIS MAGNITUDE IN THEIR LIFETIME. THEY DON'T COME ALONG THAT OFTEN.

Noelle, thank you in advance for getting a copy of these posts for Susan to read. I think Susan would love to know how many of her fans are totally wishing her the best for her career in singing, and for her life. Also, I love your idea for that T-shirt.

Susan, you are loved

Love to all, Joan from California, USA

I am reading all the stories that say Susan "lost" the competition. It sounds so negative and it shouldn't be that way. Susan didn't lose anything, she was first runner up and that is not a "loss." She won the hearts of millions of people throughout the world; she had the courage to go after he dream and she did it in a big way.

I am hoping she goes on to record CD'S, I can't wait for them to come out, and perhaps TV appearances and even Broadway shows. This is one talented lady and a huge winner in my book!
Posted by PIGGIE on May 30, 2009
No, I did NOT know that her family was behind this site! I thought it was just a techie fan! That is wonderful, that means Susan can get to read all our comments and know how much we love her. So much love coming from the USA, she MUST come here for a nice long tour!! New York City wants and needs Susan badly!!

GOLDEN RETRIEVER MOM, QE has requested of the BGT execs that Susan sing in the Royal Variety already. She was shocked that Susan didn't win BGT tonite.
Posted by USAheartland on May 30, 2009
I am so glad that people are still on here, verbalizing their support for Susan, and one another. Thanks to all of you for being so loving and human. It speaks well of the real "hope" that we so desperately need in this world.

Never in my life have I ever participated like this in a fan site. EVER. Nor do I follow the reality and talent shows. This was a once in a lifetime exception, probably.

I don't think we should let this family "fall apart".

I experienced shivers "down my spine", hearing her final perfomance. She is precious to many with her down to earth singing and emanation of goodness. She is a Scot through and through, of which I have a little, and of which I am proud to share the heritage, because of her. She has been an example to me to follow my dreams, follow my bliss (as Joseph Campbell- Scottish(?)has encouraged. She is a tough cookie, one can see that, by the way she handled Simon Cowell on camera and the press on camera.

You go girl!
Posted by Retired In Flat Broke Kalifornia on May 30, 2009
Good to hear tweek the Boyles have "pull" in controlling THIS website, bad enough Simon's people "own" Susan at this point. Hopefully sooner than later Susan - her family - will get good lawyers and be able to get out under him and set up her own production group; WE, her fans determine "what sells" in the long-run! Cowell et.al. are going for the novelty, they'll make a bundle but I'm thinking long-term, HOPEFULLY up to when she is in her early 60s.

One thing for sure folks: DON'T get Susan sicker than he has been already, bad enough she had to sing with a cold, worse still when she'd gotten in the middle of all this lunancy about her proported bad temper. If I'd been her I'd already blown my brains out dealing with all the BS!
Posted by DannyMac on May 30, 2009
I KNOW THAT A LOT OF PEOPLE DON'T AGREE ON THIS, AND SOME DO, BUT I FELT THAT SUSAN'S PERFORMANCES WERE MISHANDLED, WHETHER BY THE VOICE COACH OR WHOEVER. I THINK SUSAN IS A BETTER JUDGE OF HOW SHE SHOULD SING. ALTHOUGH I LOVE SUSAN ANYTIME SHE SINGS, I JUST DO NOT LIKE THE TONING DOWN, AND I DON'T BELIEVE THAT WAS HER DOING. I THINK IN HER AUDITION, WHERE SHE SANG SO STRONGLY AND OPENLY, WAS THE BEST.
Posted by josjack on May 30, 2009
Susan has won millions of fans all over the world, in a way this must be a releif for her and now that BGT is over, maybe she'll be able to take a bit of a rest. In as much as I wanted Susan to win, either Flawless or Diversity were my second choice and let's give credit where credit is due...they're both very good dance acts. No matter what her very bright future holds, I hope she has good trustworthy people around her to act in her best interest. God Bless our Susan.

Noelle: can you post the link where Queen Elizabeth expressed her shock over Susan's lost? I know i'm still upset and depressed by her being robbed of her win. i can't stop watching her YouTube final performance. I loved how Susan shook her head in digust and defiant as she sang. loved how she put a dramatic flair into her performance.
Posted by DannyMac on May 30, 2009
DID I MISS SOMETHING. WHERE DID TWEEK OR WHOEVER SAY HER FAMILY HAS SOMETHING TO DO WITH THIS SITE? I'M GLAD TO HEAR THAT BUT SOMEONE TELL ME ABOUT IT. THAT MEANS THEY ARE AWARE OF ALL OF US AND ALL THE MESSAGES OF LOVE AND SUPPORT FOR DEAR SUSAN THAT WE HAVE BEEN POSTING ALL THIS TIME. THEY CAN SHOW SUSAN AND SHE WILL KNOW THAT WE ARE THE REAL WORLD, NOT THE SLIMEBOTS. GOD, I STILL WANT TO PHYSICALLY BEAT ON THEM.

I also loved Susan's beautiful new gold necklace. Very feminine! I am assuming the previous necklace was Susan's gold chain, with her mother's wedding ring which she even wore at her last Memory performance for Good Luck! I believe this new necklace was probably given to her by her family to show her their love and support. What a beautiful gesture!

DANNYMAC, I'm in total agreement with you about BGT's voice coach being va-ka-ka for Susan's singing style. She coached Susan into a vocal corner and stifled her true talent. Susan has a naturally provocative and soul-stirring singing style. I loved her audition rendition of "Dreamed a Dream" much better, although she did pick up a tip or two for her finals performance, which will do her well in the future. I like her natural better.

Susan; I don't know if any of these comments will ever reach you. But, oh God, I hope they do. Susan, your gift is God-given. You have touched my heart, you have given me hope. And with me so many others. The court of judgment of what you have done, and who you are, lies in heaven, not in Britain's Got Talent. And in heaven, and here on earth, you are God's gift. Sing to us again, and again, and again. Godspeed. Kittie from Pittsburgh

DannyMac, I am not for certain but I believe her nephew, Paul, who has been known as Anonymous on this site. Paul is the chief along with Ryan, they own the website. They are also residents of the Blackburn community. There is a video somewhere of Susan thanking her nephew and she refers to him,as Anonymous, by keeping this site totally clean. The other day when they opened up the chat room, Ryan spent to the whole day on line with us monitoring what was going on to make sure there were no vilian intruders. On You Tube the teenagers go wild and make that place a zoo, with their nasty viscous comments, and they do not care whose site their on. This has been a very positive experience on this site.

JUST ON THE CHANCE THAT IT IS, HERE IS A MESSAGE FOR THE BOYLES: GET SOME GOOD LAWYERS, GET HER OUT FROM UNDER SIMON, GET HER A TOP MANAGER, TAKE GOOD CARE OF HER, TELL HER WE LOVE HER.
Posted by Noelle on May 30, 2009
IVORYMIST, BGT has a rule that all finalists that sing must sing their audition song and they're not allowed to choose anything else for the finals.
Posted by Retired In Flat Broke Kalifornia on May 30, 2009
HERE! HERE! DANNYMAC! Susan could be the distant cousin of my ex-galfriend of many years, whom I've also known now for nearly 30 and STILL have warm feelings about! This "thing" they've done, cheating Susan out of her earned victory, is damn personal to me, my "manhood" has been offended - no kidding!
Posted by PIGGIE on May 30, 2009
I heard they changed that rule. Hollie sang I Could Have Danced All Night for her audition, but sang something else for the finals.
Posted by geogirl1963 on May 30, 2009
You are wonderful!!! Every time I hear you sing I get goose flesh and I well up with a great sense of joy and pride. You are a very beautiful person and it comes through in your music. You feel the music and in doing so you let everyone around you hear those feeling when you sing. If you do record a CD I will buy it in a heart beat. I love your soulful depth and your iner strenghth. You should not look at yourself as being 2nd you are now and always will be FIRST. For you I only wish happiness, love and good things to always be there for you.

Susan, You have true character. You are a magnificient volcalist. I cannot wait to hear and see you again. The Queen will miss out. Thanks to the link re Queen asking to let Susan perform. I notice the date of the article is still May 23. Just thinking... if it conflicts with the Variety Show management since Susan isn't BGT's declared winner, then, Heavens! HM can easily invite Susan as guest performer. HM is Queen, after all! By the way, even if Buckingham Palace is in London, she is also Australia's Queen, our Queen. We have all admiration and respect for her. I pray Susan gets the chance to sing for her.
Posted by tweek on May 30, 2009
DannyMac...Furthermore Ryan and Paul, I am sure have been showing Susan some of these messages within here. But, with the amount of traffic from all over the world and everyone wanting their messages to go directly to Susan, I am sure they have to pick and choose what they show her. I know by now she has seen all the messages that went with her card. And, Ryan Scott at ryanscott@hotmail.com had been taking additional personal messages for her at his email address and forwarding as many as he could to her directly before the show. Susan has to sleep sometime and she may never be able to read everything, but the important thing she knows there are hundreds of people pouring their hearts out for her in so many different ways. We are lucky to have Susan, and I am sure she feels she is lucky to have us. I'm sure we will be hearing from her when things slow down.

OK..I lied about leaving. When I saw you guys talking about Paul being Susan's nephew I remembered seeing a statement at the bottom left of the main page from Susan thanking her nephew for all his work on the site or monitoring the site or something like that. Never thought any more about it but it is gone now unless I saw it someplace else and I can't imagine where that could be.

Despite what happened to Diana I still like Queen Elizabeth II; mom always tells me the story about how excited her English neighbor was when telling mom (still alive today along with Dad)"We have a Bonnie Prince Charlie!" when mom was pregnant with my older sister who is also still alive - if anything The Queen has a sense of "good taste," Susan has got it in spades in spite of her "rough edges," The Queen I believe will personally tell her that in her own majestic way - Glory to now AND future Dame Susan Boyle!

TelsCafe re Susan performing for the Queen. I believe, the Queen, will request Susan for a performance sometime. She's not going to risk letting that beautiful voice sing for the President of the United States of America, before she at least gets a chance to listen to her Sing. Susan, has a very natural, unhibited, gifted voice which I somewhat compare her to the well reknown singer Kate Smith who would sing at many huge events in the United States, she was a forerunner almost in American History. Susan could very well go down in history as a known figure like Kate Smith. If you note from someone's input on this site, the voice coach at the BGT show was interviewed by one of the media, and she exhuberated that Susan's voice was very unusually clear, loud, and was a one of a kind rarity who she compared to Paul Potts.

Susan, seven weeks ago I watched a video of you singing "I Dreamed a Dream" on YouTube. My heart opened and in you walked and you have been living there ever since. You may have come in second in the Britain's Got Talent contest, but you, your winning smile, grace, charm, and that incredible God-Given talent of yours has you in first place in the hearts and minds of the world. Was I disappointed you didn't win the contest? I won't lie, I was devastated. I'm certain I was much less gracious in my reaction than were you. You deserved to be the winner. But, no matter. We all know you will have a brilliant career waiting for you. You are a treasure, a treasure who has touched my soul. I wish you all the best of everything for you deserve no less than that. You will sing for the Queen, I am certain of that. One more thing I want to say to you. I am no child, I am 59 (almost 60). I have been a Barbra Streisand fan since I was 13 years old. In my mind, nobody could ever touch her, nobody could even come close. Nobody, that is, until you. I am really, really, really looking forward to your first CD. Congratulations to you Susan. And, thank you for the gift you are, the gift you have given to the world. God Bless.

Susan has stood strong through all of this. I know all of us will continue to stand strong for Susan. This is just the beginning. America is calling and I am sure Susan will be opening that door. Sometimes our prayers are answered differently than what we think. I am sure that God will watch over her and fulfill Susan's dreams. It has been a long time since I have been so touched like this. It is simply amazing how this wonderful lady has brought all of us together and the world loves her so. I know her Mum is looking down at her loving daughter and has a happy smile on her face.
Posted by Noelle on May 30, 2009
GRITS, no one else except Hollie got to have a second chance in the semi-finals when they wobbled either. I think they were just catering to a "not-gonna-win-anyway" kid's whims to pacify her and keep her from an internationally public melt-down.
Posted by Bobber2 on May 30, 2009
We're about to see a very strange scenario take place. This dear singer Susan Boyle is probably going to break all records in CD sales selling who knows maybe more then the Beatles....and yet she was never brought before the Queen. What a sad thing the British people have allowed to take place....and why didn't you's make sure there was a good security group clearing the way for her in various places she had to go so as not to cause her stress ? Because other contestants didn't have such a privilege ? They didn't need such a privilege you bunch of dopes ! Im sorry but your whole nation droped the ball on this one.

Hi Tweek - first of all thank you for following me at Twitter. I've reciprocated. Second, thanks for letting us know that Susan's relatives are looking after this in a way. (I also love DannyMac's video, it touches me everytime. Thanks, Danny)

My friends, esp ex-colleagues have been shocked hearing me join a Fansite. I too was for a while, but when I heard Susan sing songs I love, both the song and the singer immensely gripped me, later weaved, within my being. I've been an alto all my life. Slowly, my colleagues are understanding how I feel through my being. Susan has touched so many of us, for different personal reasons - from all walks of life. This that alone is phenomenal. Susan Boyle is no doubt the FIRST inhabitant of the Yes-We-Can new era.

God bless. I hope Susan's resting now. She deserves it more than ever.

Well, dearheart, you did yourself and everyone near and far who supported you proud tonight! You managed to rise above the slime and ugly and give the performance we all have come to expect from you - with grace, charm, and wit. You really did take the biggest prize of all in this contest - the hearts and admiration of millions of people all around the world. You gave everyone kick in the butt when it comes to having the courage to at least get out there an GO for a dream rather than sit home and talk about what "might have been, if only..." You've set the bar for the rest of the world when it comes to bravery with class, determination with perspective, and focus without losing your terrific sense of humor. The world is now your oyster - and we're all waiting to send your first CD to the top of the charts everywhere the day it comes out and is available. Thank you for reminding the world what a true "lady" is like under any conditions, and anything is possible for anyone if they have the courage to try. You are my SHERO!!! Noelle, I believe almost anything gets to Susan, but thank you for the Address. When Susan first starting getting gobbs of fan mail, they interviewed the Post Office at Blackburn (which is a small community of a few thousand people or West Lothian) and they said they were amazed what was coming into her. One letter said simply Susan Boyle, Scotland and it arrived perfectly safe. The whole country of Scotland is endearing her celebrity mail. I personally addressed her cards when I sent them: to SUSAN BOYLE, NEWEST BRITIAN GOT TALENT SINGING SENSATION, BLACKBURN - WEST LOTHIAN, SCOTLAND. I would be very surprised if it not reach her. It might have taken a wee bit longer to get there without a postal code. The time to remember Susan with cards, letters in six months from now when maybe there will be a slow down in her mail. I am sure she is overwhelmed with mail...not to mention mail and cards for Pebbles. Though, she really enjoys her mail. There is a limit to how much one can deal with, and where do you put all these beautiful cards. I was thinking I should have just ordered about $100 worth of Susan Boyle tea shirts and told Paul & Ryan to disbribute them to the poor wee fans in Blackburn for their festivities. But, lo, I did not think of that in time. There are other ways to express your appreciation for Susan, and I am sure we will think of them as we go along.

FOLKS, THIS LAST WEEK HAS BEEN HELLACIOUS. I AM GLAD IT IS OVER AND WE ARE MOVING INTO GOOD DAYS AHEAD FOR SUSAN, AND THEREBY FOR US. IT IS WAY AFTER MIDNIGHT HERE IN TALLAHASSEE, AND THIS OLD LADY NEEDS TO GO TO NAPPER'S HOME AS MY DADDY USED TO SAY. SEE YOU TOMORROW, AND I KNOW THERE WILL BE TONS OF COMMENTS FOR ME TO CATCH UP ON. I WOULDN'T HAVE IT ANY OTHER WAY. REMEMBER WHAT THEY SAY, LIVING WELL IS THE BEST REVENGE AND THAT APPLIES TO OUR SUSAN.

Britain may have talent, but SCOTLAND has a whole lot more. I just hope SUSAN knows what a STELLAR performance she delivered tonight. She couldn't have shone brighter if she was plugged into the SUN!

Now then, I just finished work, and I'm HUNGRY. Susan is finally FREE from the gnarly clutches of BGT after an entire MONTH of waiting for her to be able to put out an album. A MONTH, I say! SING, LASSIE, SING!!! And we'll all go together to cut wild mountain thyme, all around the bloomin' heather... Okay, so heather makes me SNEEZE. Will ya go, Lassie, go?

I don’t know what happened in that hotel but I saw Susan on stage, thanks to youtube.com and her fans website. All I know from that experience Susan is a brightest singer of all times touching people’s hearts all over the glob. And she IS an outstanding personality with big heart and grace that can stand only next to her incomparable gift of voice.

I am pretty sure that BGT is a transient event in social life but Susan is the phenomena. I wish so much she to find real partners (not Simon, he could not take care of her as he had to) that would make shine every facet of her talent and we, her fans, would have every chance to enjoy it.
