How do you do,evryone? I'm new here from Japan. I've been enjoying reading your blog which contains full of love for Ms Boyle, but it's very hard for me to follow up all your comments because of my poor English. Although I may seldom be able to come out, it's still my pleasure to be here. Excuse me if I bother you with my misunderstanding. Anyway I'm so happy to see Susan seems to be completely back to herself on this video. This is fantastic performance! I love it so much. WHAT A MEGA PERFORMANCE!!!! Susan just gets better and better ..... how is that possible? She has now found her feet on that stage, she looks very comfortable and relaxed sending out her kisses and waving to the crowd. Her confidence is all there to be seen and seems to gain strength day by day.

Thanks again, Tommy. It is sooooooooooo good to have you back and on form. You and Susan both. Do you think that, at last, Susan has realised her true worth and that she has truly fulfiled her dream? Her performance last night was so relaxed that it reminded me of her audition in Glasgow, just a short few months ago. What a journey she has gone on since then! Cheerio for now.

Goeiemorgen/goodmorning all susafans ! I am in awe, my day started splendidly with Susan singing in Birmingham, my god, what a tremendous power she has, I am deeply in love with her voice: this lady belongs ON STAGE !!!!!!! Congratulations dear Susan !!!

To all who reacted to my message on last nights blog concerning talking my own language vs english: and especially to RubyRose: I was not offended at ALL ! just confused because I want to do things right you know, and I am just new here :-) but you know what ?? This morning, waking up, getting 'my susafix' (love this one!!!!), reading all the comments made, I was overwhelmed with the friendlyness and warmth all you nice fans have been showing me in reaction to my message, really I FEEL AT HOME, thank you so much, it means a lot to me !!!!

So good to see TommyUSA back and kicking. And so great to see this fabulous video of Susan Boyle in Birmingham. Wow, she is looking so relaxed and happy to be on stage. Her voice is great in this one -- she nailed both songs.

It is going to be tough when this tour is over, and we don't get new videos every couple of days. On the other hand, it will be good to start hearing the rest of her repertoire, even if it means waiting a while.

Anja and Natalie: my father's first hit song- (#1 in USA before there was even a hit parade! was "Little Dutch Mill"- almost 80 years ago! He found this out after arriving in New York with $6 in his pocket! lol Dad born in Canada to Hungarian-immigrant parents to US. His grandmother's maiden name was "Hollander" :o)

Let's hope that anywhere she goes she will be able to take Pebbles with her; she shouldn't come to the US for more than a few days if she can't. I don't think we have the quarantine issues that they have in Britain. I couldn't bear to be away from my little doggies for any length of time; I'd always worried they weren't being taken care of properly in addition to my missing them.

pagepage- just hit 70 (but I'm 35 til I look in the mirror and it cracks LOL); I saw her on her weekly tv shows and have commented on her here- some similarity to Susan- and much loved. I wish Susan would sing "May the Good Lord Bless and Keep You"

Most of my family in show business- when Frank Sinatra was starting out he used to climb theough the window into my dad's studio when door was locked to play the piano. Once told my dad "Ralph, I don't understand what women see in me!"- Boy did he change! lolol

vicki smith, lol, I'm 60, so 70 is looking young to me. I commented yesterday that I really laughed watching the Susan with doll when she sang "I hear music, etc." as that was a Kate Smith song, a duet she sang with Donald O'Conner, do you remember the movie. I only saw her late at night watching old movies on tv.

Also, I'm 65 and have thought many times that Susan reminds me of Kate Smith. And, as much as I liked Kate Smith, I have to say that I personally like Susan Boyle better. pagepage- Sinatra really cared about peoplel he knew how rough it was for my dad when he no longer was contracted to MGM. Dad intentionally didn't have us associate with movie starts because he didn't like the destructive lifestyle. He did associate with them at the Friar's Club, however. He recorded one of dad's song ((Just the way You Are) to help him out on one of his later albums. I was a home student for most of my high school because of my yet-undiagnosed condition, and had only one friend. Anyway, when Man with the Golden Arm previewed one rainy evening, I walked to the theater to see the goings-on. As he came towards the entrance I yelled to him "Do you remember my dad, RF"? Well, he came to the rope that separated the fans, lifted it up and brought me inside- me in my levis and raincoat! I couldn't believe it- called my dad to tell him that he had gotten me a seat to see the movie. It was so sweet of him! Can you imagine what it was like for a fifteen-year-old to have that happen? Luckily I was wearing that raincoat and so I rolled up my jeans :o)

The puppet idea sounds perfect, made me laugh.

I have thought long and hard about my obsession with Susan. All the reasons that have been posted, I've agreed with. But I have come down to the fact that when the Beatles came to be, I absolutely loved them, but I was a very shy child and never could express it and I grew up on a farm in Ohio (there I just said 'hi' to our Japanese friend, lol)so no money for records or concerts or trinkets. And now, here, this 50 odd years later, I'm a total Susan fan, I can totally shout it to the hilltops (Yes, my husband thinks I'm 'over the moon' but in a different way than in Britain) and I feel like a teenager again. I think it's a good time to have a second childhood, eh.

BTW, if you ever watch the old movies on TNT, and have seen Saratoga, with Clark Gable and Jean Harlow, my mom sings the title song over the credits and appears towards the end singing it. She absolutely hated the way she looked in it, though. Although she was in Vaudeville and Broadway, this is the only movie in which she appeared; in some other movies she did do voice-overs, however.

To all those here for whom English is a second language. Please, please, never apologize. Most Americans are always amazed that anyone can speak another language in any way because most of us cannot. And to think that so many from other countries not only can speak English bit can also speak one or more other languages boggles my mind. That is a great failing here that people are not routinely taught another language as they are growing up.

VickyOregon and Pagepage, good morning. It's 2:25am in San Francisco, and I could not sleep. So, came to this site to again watch Susan's last night performances. Saw you two here and wanted to say hello. Going to head off and try to get some sleep now as I have to be up again at 4:30 a.m. to get ready for the day. I, too, loved Kate Smith, and agree Susan is much more melodic. But, both fit into the category of "belter" as I expressed in an earlier post. At least I think they do. I realized while watching Susan's performances close up from Arbedeen why I relate her so much to Barbra. Like Barbra, she not only sings the songs, she engages with the lyrics, makes them her own and delivers a performance for us to witness let alone hear. I do think she may have begun to let how much she is loved sink in a bit and that that is why it seems each performance is better than the one before. I could go on and on and on, but would regret doing so later in the day. Must go "hit the pillow" for another few hours. To Susan, you are absolutely astounding and I adore you. Good day all.

Just getting up during the middle of the night to watch and hear Susan yet again. Go to bed with her voice in my head and wake up to check out the site for anything new. Susan's performance yesterday in Birmingham was so wonderful. She is so much a lady, full of grace and beauty. She looks rested and happy. Ilove these close up videos. Thanks to whoever puts them up. vicki smith, That must have been fantastic with Sinatra, pretty sure your head was spinning for days! Sorry to hear about your health, but I empathize, I have MS and it took them 20 years to figure out what was going on and meantime you feel like a hypochondriac. We have good days and bad, eh. Pretty sure the average age on this site is 60 and we've all got ailments and so love Susan even more for giving us some space to just feel her music and her love.

I hope we hear some great stories about meeting Susan from people.

pagepage- too late tonight to get into this, but some people have been healed of MS through natural methods. It must be so difficult for you. :-( My condition is neurological and Susan and I suffered similar torment from kids when we were children. At least no one threw rocks at me, however. I think someone should have thrown rocks at a couple of my teachers, though...

5:45am, EST---what a way to start the Day!!!!!OHMERCIME, this is by far the very finest performance Susan Boyle has EVER given!!! Her singing has risen even further towards PERFECTION, with her new-found confidence on the stage she just basks in the limelight waving and throwing kisses to all in the audience, whether left or right, the staging and lighting are SPECTACULAR which is really obvious in full-screen mode, the person doing the video was truly in the right place at the right time and got the entire performance in one clip, TOMMY (HOORAY, he's back doing his Susa-thing!) caught it and got it submitted to the site, and Paul has it on the site and ready for us all the ENJOY and savor all day !!!! Again a BIG THANX to all involved.

@LucyB - Yes, I believe that finally susan has realized that she is a "worthy person", that comming second is not important, that people do love her and her singing. all that has given her a new vision of herself, and thus new confidence, she is really now enjoying the show and we all can see the way she relaxes, smiles, and commmunicates with the audience.

Her voice now is at the top, absolutely divine!!!

Hi folks.... I have just had my susafix for the day - watched several videos, and had a long listen to my Boyle Collection - IDAD; Memory; Killing Me Softly; Cry me A River; The Way We Were; The Heart Goes On. OMG! what a collection already. Imagine what it is going to be like when we get our hands on the real deal - her debut CD. Good morning to papepage; VickyOREGON and other Susanites. Life is great now - I feel that the worst is truly over for the Press seem to have realised that "oor lassie" IS made of stern stuff and is not going to to deflected from realising her dream. And The Audition Gal that we initially feel in love with is BACK! Coventry; Bournemouth and another trip to the capital to come. Can it get any better than this? - well, it can actually but that might have to wait until the CD and HER concert tour! Cheerio for now

Watched the Birmingham video and no way can I describe my reaction and feelings. I like what one person said about watching Susan bloom in the video. That is exactly what we have been doing since the finals. Watching our beloved Susan as bloom, petals opening in the sun.

A little comment here. I am glad I enjoy music of various kinds though I myself have not the least iota of musical talent. There have been a lot of different kinds in my lifetime, big bands, pop singers, country old and new, folk revival, early rock and roll of the 50's and 60's, some of all which I like and enjoy and some of which I am quite fervent about. I enjoy some opera and have been a devoted fan of Rise Stevens and enjoyed several others, I like and enjoy a lot of operetta music. May be some I have left out. I don't make comparisons between the singers of one genre and the singers of another. It is a false comparison to me. I loved Glen Miller, I loved Jo Stafford and Patti Page, I loved Elvis and Little Richard, I loved Peter, Paul, and Mary, I loved Patsy Cline. They have all given me pleasure and were great at what they did. And there have been others in each category which I didn't care for and some I saw as way less talented.

My beloved Susan I don't compare with any of them. She is a singer of a different magnitude altogether. Would be like trying to compare a campfire with the sun. Can't be done.

That's how I feel.

I have tried to analyze why we are so touched by Susan. The obvious is her voice, so strong and clear and pure but there is more to it than that. I was thinking about this last night and realized we are hearing the music of a pure soul. Who she is shines in her music and reaches the best in each of us. This is truly remarkable and I suppose why I cringe when anyone talks about "finding A Susan Boyle". There is only THE Susan Boyle and she is a rare combination of beauty both of music and soul. As someone said yesterday, this only comes along once in a lifetime and we are very privileged to be witnessing it.

When that happens there is no ego, or baggage, or separation - we all touch in at a soul level and then the magic happens.

It is not something that anyone can manufacture or make or do - it happens because it is beyond all that we know in this 3D reality.

This is Susan's true beauty - she touches her own soul or essence and in doing that carries it through with her voice until it touches our souls ...

Singing Soul - that is beautifully said. When I listen to Susan videos I find myself staring into my monitor screen totally motionless and grinning ear to ear. I am completely mesmerized and have even missed the phone ringing as if she has put me in a trance. Once I even jumped up and started applauding and cheering. My husband came running in from the other room to see if I was okay. It's almost as if I can feel her - must be her soul touching mine.

She was so over-the-top fabulous yesterday the tabloid press probably won't touch her since they specialize in degrading people, but I thought maybe we would see some rave reviews from the legit press. I have quite varied musical tastes and I take great pleasure in imagining how she could sing many many different songs...I'm sure that her voice is more suited to certain things andI am sure that she has her own musical tastes and preferences...eagerly waiting to hear and see what she wants to sing and how she wants to sing it... as far as her fans go...I hope we keep an open mind as to who she will connect to...it is just starting to unfold... One of the things which has been so enthralling to watch in this journey is Susan's transformation, both professionally and physically.

So many have noted, and rightfully so, her tremendous increase in confidence and even the ability to produce such polished, yet emotionally stirring, renditions of songs we have heard ump-teen times. It still gives me goosebumps to listen to her songs and I can't count the number of times I've listened. (My husband says I'm "eaten up" with this.)

I have also noted, as I know that terijay, DR and squeakybird have, Susan's significant weight loss already. When I compared how she looked in that silver dress at the finals and then observed the freeze frame at the end of this Birmingham performance, there is quite a noticeable change. I think it was terijay who commented that they may need to do an outfit change by the end of the tour if Susan keeps this up. Yup, that neckline would be hanging down to her navel if they don't... Might make us think she was trying to imitate some pop stars if that happened!!! :) LOL

Hello everyone, I just simply love these two videos, I have continued to watch where she is breathing and do not see her breathing. What a magnificant and, strong powerful voice. Love the way she brings in that audience to her. Did you see where she holds her hand out and brings her fingers towards her body. she does it more than once and it is as if she is saying welcome and come on in. How fantastic it that. Never ever have I seen someone do that with her audience quite that way before.

Welcome to our new Japanese friend. You'll love this site. What a performance our girl gave last night. I keep she can't get any better but she does. @DR, I think we all go into a trance hearing her sing with soul and feeling. I think this is why God put her on earth, to bring such joy to all of us. And to think she had to struggle and endure so much, it makes me cry. At this YouTube site of last night's performance, there were 1,122 viewers and 119 comments. The submitter just coulnd't believe the response. His response to her: Abolutely brilliant and the crowd loved her. This should shut up all those nasty tabloid reporters. Excuse my French. Am waiting for some mice reports on American TV. Maybe we should request it from the TV.

Simply by being her magnificent self, Susan is turning the Britain's Got Talent Tour into the Susan Boyle Tour. Not to take anything away from the other performers, I hope they're all having the time of their lives, but its a total joy to see her like this. And especially to see that she is reaching across all age groups. I've read several times now of young people going for Diversity and falling in love with Susan. That's called Charisma!

Thanks a lot for this video! I think this is the best one I've seen since the very first audition video of Susan! It has a bit of a close-up, so we can see more of the expression on her face, which I just love to see. Specially in this performance. In my opinion, this is also her best performance to date.

youareloved - I also have been noticing the young people are responding in a very positive way to Susan. For far too many years the young people have tormented Susan, calling her names and throwing stones. How that must have hurt this kind woman! Now the young people are chanting Susan's name and screaming 'I love you' and throwing kisses. And Susan opens her arms and accepts them. How easily Susan forgives. If only each of us could be so quick to heal from our hurts and forgive. The world would be so much better for it. @suethenurse, pets traveling back and forth between the mainland US and the UK do not have to be put into quarantine, according to the UK goverment site, provided certain procedures are followed. Still I wouldn't want to put my cat through the stress of transatlantic travel and change of habitation very often. It's hard enough on me! Besides there being the risk that some government employee could decide you didn't do something right and put the cat into quarantine anyway. Even if you could prove them wrong, who needs the headache of fighting the UK government bureaucracy?

But cats generally adjust quite nicely to anyone who treats them well, so if Susan has trustworthy cat-loving people in London, she could safely leave Pebbles in her flat while she traveled, even for months at a time.

The person (I believe it's a young person) also said that he/she is actually a Diversity fan but found Susan incredible and that Susan was 'by far the star of the show'! There has been so much talk of Susan possibly being on AGT. You do realize that if she is on it, it is NOT to compete on that show, but to only do a guest appearance and perform? AGT has already started it's television season and it is not unusual for them to bring in outside entertainment, later in the series for a performance. Carrie Underwood was a winner on American Idol, I think in 2002. She has went on to become a very big star and has won about every award imaginable. They have brought her back to perform several times.

Also Piers knows he isn't going to find another Susan Boyle in America but he has to say things to try and get his ratings up for the show. He couldn't very well go on TV and say "We know we aren't going to ever have another Susan Boyle but I guess we still have to go on with the show." He is saying what Simon is telling him to say.

What a different world I live in now that I am a Susan watcher. Three months ago, first thing I would do in the morning would be to check for e-mail messages, reply to any I had to, read a local newspaper, then have breakfast. In the evening, the last thing I would do was to check for e-mails. NOW, first thing I do is to check Susan's Fansite to see if any new videos or pictures have been posted, catch up on the Blog, and generally check everything on the site. If I go out I check for anything new on the site and when I come back I check again. I now neglect my old routine. My world has certainly changed. What an obsession. Hugs and kisses to Susan. @Marie, she now holds all the cards and she knows just how to play 'em! The slimoids and idiot media can go hang themselves, because Susan has beaten them all with her glorious talent that is unequalled anywhere. It's so amazing how far she's come in just two months - I've lived a long time and have never seen this happen, but am SO happy it's happened for our sweet Susan. We are actually seeing her realize her dream, watching it unfold day by day. When this tour is over she will just continue to climb higher and higher. She said "I'd like to be a professional singer". I've never been 'obsessed' by an entertainer before, and certainly not by a singer like Susan, but here in So Cal I can't let an evening go by without an update and a song. I just love this lady. Watching Susan's Birmingham performance was incredible; all her power and beauty was there and more...clearly the best to date for me...it just gets better. Where did that energy come from? I'm so pleased.It's like you know you're watching history in the making; all of this will one day be a movie, book, and she will be a legend. Yet here we are now, watching it all unfold. Wow.

I hope we get to see the 'Audition' version of Susan (the real deal) reemerge again soon when this grueling tour is over...the mannerisms, casual confidence, humor and the 'dance'! How I love that lady.

DVD of the BIRMINGHAM 24 JUNE performance now available:

As promised, I have created an ISO (disc image) file of a DVD of Susan's Birmingham (24 June) performance. This ISO file is hosted on a file hosting site. You may need to download an ISO to DVD 'image burner', but I have included details of that too. The ISO image will create an NTSC (US compatible) DVD that you can then take away and play like any other DVD on your TV. I have had to do a lot of compressing to get an ISO file that is easily downloadable, but the overall quality is still very good. Here's what you need to do to create your DVD:

1. Go get the ISO file from: Here - click to download (choose the 'free download' option - don't use 'premium' because it will cost. There is a 30 second delay before the download link will show for adverts to display). BEWARE: this file is 151Mb!

2. Save it somewhere on your machine, and then unZIP the file (XP/Vista: right-click on the .zip file, then select 'Extract All'), which will create SUSANDVD11.ISO

3. If you have your own ISO to DVD burner software (most versions of Nero, Roxio, Cyberlink should have this feature, or use ImgBurn again if you downloaded it before) then you can now use that to create your DVD from the ISO file

4. If you need an ISO to DVD burner (for free) then I would recommend ImgBurn: Click here to download (Just click the blue 'Download' button, then save the .exe file, then run it to install)

5. To create your DVD with ImgBurn: Insert a blank DVD (and it must be a DVD and NOT a CD!), run ImgBurn, Select 'Write Image File to Disc' option, click the folder image next to where it says 'Please select a file...' then browse to the SUSANDVD11.ISO file, then click the image at the bottom of the screen (with the green triangle in the middle of 2 pictures of a disc) to start creating the DVD. Let it do its stuff - it will tell you when it's done. (You may want to untick the 'Verify' tick box if you want your disc to be ready quickly).

6. Eject the disc, take it to your home DVD player and play it!

This should all work as I've described. If it doesn't, check you've followed the instructions properly.

Susan DVDs to download.

Just incase you've missed it, I have been creating DVDs of Susan's live concert performances for those who are technically unable to do so for themselves. These DVDs have been turned into ISO files, that you can easily download yourself. Using some simple (and free) software, you can turn those ISO files straight into a DVD (NOTE: you must use a blank DVD, a CD will NOT work!) that you can then take away and play on your home DVD player/TV just like any other. All the DVDs are in NTSC format for use in the US (they should also work anywhere else). There are currently 11 DVDs available. The procedure for creating them is the same for each DVD:

With the bullying she received and how she has handled it, I think Dr. Phil and his son (who has written and has been on a campaign against bullying) can learn some things from her. She probably has had a great impact on bullying and I'm assuming that for years to come, she will be an icon promoting love and peace within society at large including the entertainment industy which is a soap opera. Susan has set the standard like no one can and has taught some lessons for the less popular people in life - she is an angel - a fun one also!

Hello all true, honest Susan Boyle fans.

I have just joined the site using an absoltely MADE UP E.MAIL ADDRESS - this can, and is being done all the time. This is WHY I did it this morning.

I noticed lots of strange stuff last night. Scottish ramblings, which, believe you me, I DID decipher and it was utter nastiness.

No sooner had that person disappeared than they 'popped' up again on the new blog using a different 'disguise'.

If you try to message them, you HONEST fans, the messages will not get through.

The e.mail addresses are phony. I have tried to message some so-called NEW fans only to have the messages retured to me as UNDELIVERED.

Message your welcomes to new people. If they message you back then they're probably ok.

Most come on at night or in the early hours depending on where they are posting from.

I have had phony emails sent to me by fictitious fans.

Admin has a huge job to keep this site up and running for the KIND, HONEST fans. I fall in that category...I am one of you. I have been here from the beginning .

I AM NOT NEW MEMBER HAIKU. This account, opened with a phone email address will be disabled as soon as this message is submitted..

I am just trying to help the friends I have made here and the the GOOD people on this site. here.

I'm sure my husband wouldn't mind me cueing to buy Susan Boyle's CD, but I don't think I could drag him along to a Susan Boyle concert, or anybody's concert for that matter! He loves Susan Boyle's singing (he turns up the volume of our computer when he feels like listening to her again and her voice fills the whole house!), but would rather play siduko (sp?) than going to any concert. @Haiku, or whoever, thanks for the warning. That troll last night was spotted pretty quickly and shot down. We must all be ever vigilant and report trolls ASAP so they can be banned from the site. I realize they can come back using a different name, but sooner or later they reveal their nasty intentions and we can get rid of them yet again.

True fans, just don't ever post Susan's address, etc. or anything personal that you know about her. The last thing we want is for someone to send her unkind correspondence or even stalk her. Protecting our sweet girl is of utmost importance.

@Haiku; Software our Administrator is using obviously isn't sophisticated enough to "trap" Trolls, isn't HIS fault but Magnify's.

When setting up a user account for a "chat" site like this one two basic things need to be done:

1. verification of VALID e-mail address by sending out a notification message to the user's e-mail, if it comes back undelivered that's an automatic "kick-out."

2. Unique Handle names; To change one you SHOULD get permission of the Administrator first so he can check to be sure it ain't already being used.

I just came on this morning to listen to last night's performance... MAGNIFICENT!!!!!

What joy to see Susan so relaxed and beautiful. She is so gracious and charming... and her voice moved me to tears once more!!!

I logged in last night but could not get through the 1000+ posts! I so enjoy hearing others share their enthusiasm for "Our Lady of Blackburn"... What a joy, what a blessing.

Welcome back to Tommy, we are family now, please don't ever leave us. And welcome to all the new family members as well.

Maybe when the tour is over I'll have time to go back and read all of the posts; right now it's hard, because my hubby, bless him, is concerned about my Susa-addiction and I can't stay on more than a few minutes at a time....

Good Morning Susan's Friends ~ I have been going to the huffingtonpost site, winner of the Webbie Awards, for news, then to its entertainment page. They have a Susan Boyle page, but nothing new on it since the alleged cat episode and that interview with Simon Cowell. They do not link any good news about Susan's outstanding performances and the incredible audience response. Apparently, good news is no news..That is unfortunate, as a number of people who responded in the comments section to the bad news at huffpo have a totally skewed notion of who this woman is, based on those bogus stories. I have written huffpo and asked them to be fair in the stories they link. If you would care to do the same, and want to ask them to report Susan's real story, you can go to huffintonpost.com and click 'Contact Us', and then to the Tips section, and either tell what you know about Susan or link one of the positive stories from another location. If enough of us do that,perhaps they will respond with a good news story, befitting of Susan's beneficent effect on people.

I was just watching the lastest performance and I was amazed at how much Susan responds to the audience.Its wonderful, she really interacts with them,lovely. After following her story for 3 months now I can see this journey she is on has been therapeutic for her.

@youareloved, Thank you for your prayer to God for Susan. I too pray for her and wanted others to know what a blessing she has been in my life. As I read the blogs I know that we all have been touched by an Angel in His own time. As many have said she has a pure soul that comes through and grabs my heart. Did anyone notice in the Birmingham up close video her fingers on the left hand moved as though they were playing the notes on a piano? I believe she hears the music in her soul and there is no disconnect from the physical to the soul for Susan. Does that sound hokey? Well anyway, I love and adore you Susan!

Susan's performance yesterday was celestial- from the heavens. She hits the high notes without belting and is effortlessly transitioning from her chest voice to her head voice without a noticable break. She is smiling, relaxed like she has been doin this for 20 years...loved it

Hi villagers!

I had to drag myself away from Susan this morning and go help my sister spray paint her lawn furniture - drying now so here I am at her puter! Is our girl ever rocking the audiences. Along with everyone else, waiting for that interview. I hope the press ordeal will not make Susan more guarded and less spontaneous in her speech and actions going forward. I wanna see the little susadance again - just adorable. I'll give Simon credit for giving Paul Potts one piece of advice. "Stay as you are and not who you think you should be." Of course, Susan wouldn't know how to be anything other than herself.

Just imagine what Susan must sound like in person??! And then imagine the sound of her voice w/o the background noise of fans screaming and shouting out her name!! When she gets into a recording studio and is able to really sing w/o all the extraneous noise and it's just she and the musical accompaniment,--------it's going to blast us all over the moon!! @WAMcKinley, you are so right! Teesiel told us that hearing her in person is a whole new experience. My dream is to actually see her in concert, but that upcoming CD is sure gonna be a dream come true, too. To think of that golden voice in my house - oh WOW. I so hope, too, that she does some DVD's. I love looking at her when she's singing.

@IvoryMist, I hadn't noticed but you're right - it's gone. Maybe they're working on it in some way.

I am a little concerned that Susan is not canceling concerts and no one seems to be monitoring her fatigue anymore. I love the videos, I'm an addict, what will I do when the tour ends? I think many of us will suffer withdrawals. Nonetheless, I hope Susan is still having fun.

@lonnirose: Yes,--DVDs!! That would be the best thing of all!! So much of the enjoyment of Susan is watching her,---all the sweet gestures---and some of the funny little things she does like when she missed her cue due to the noise and asked to start again. That was priceless!! I'd also love a DVD of a good interview with her,---something with a real journalist who knows how to ask compelling questions and not some of the stupid things others have asked her. I so LOVE hearing Susan speak. She could read the phone book, and I'd want to be there to watch and listen!!

Hello to everyone, I have been lurking and oh, my so many good devoted fans of Susan’s. Wow, her last performance was great. I really cannot say one is better than the last because she is good no matter what…I noticed when she begins to sing she transforms the ordience. She sings with heart and soul what gifts to us as fans… I love this site its great…I think I am addicted..:)

aliijuddsex, the young lady who recorded last night's performance was asked if there was any booing at Susan as occurred one of the earlier perfomances. Her response was: "oh my days!I can't believe that! No one booed her! Everyone loved her, you can't hear it in my video but people were chanting her name during the performance. And she got a standing ovation after both performances!"

I liked the little red button...but it is a catch 22 as it doen't give a clear picture to the world as who is really interested about Susan Boyle and how many...I just watched this fansite for weeks before deciding to join...I would bet that thousands of people come and visit the site on a regular basisbut the red button doesn't show this...many won't join but still care a great deal about Susan Boyle..they may be afraid of cyberspace, they may not be fluent enough in english. they may have some "privacy and security issues",they may fear they do not have enough time or skills to contribute...whatever...if we could just have at least a red button telling us which part of the world is on line... many people may care a great deal about Susan Boyle and are visiting on a regular basis without being"counted" by the red button...I wonder if admin has a way to keep tracks of how many come to visit ...???

Hi Susanatics...Have you noticed, there are NO Susa-pics, or at least not posted yet, of Susan arriving and/or departing these last 2 performances!!! And there are NO Susa-news articles all about rants, and cats, and all those other negative words? And there are 2 SPECTACTULAR SUSA-FORMANCES for which the press doesn't seem to be able to find anything wrong with? In fact the British scum-bag press is quiet (thank God for small favors!).

Might it just be a coincident OR is it the results of alllll our pounding last week on Max Clifford and the POOR job his agency was doing managing Susan Boyle's security and publicity??? Myself, I do NOT think it is a coincident, but the results of all the Susa-fans letting them know exactly what the bear does in the woods about the job they have been doing. And Max and crew is certainly aware of us, all with 'puters ready to attack should the need arise.

But It doesn't work well for Japanese, sometimes horribly doesn't make any sense. So I always loved the red button, praying for someone from my country to come in first. I have downloaded Susan's performance at Birmingham yesterday and love listening to it over and over again. Sounding more and more wonderful every day. Growing in confidence and interacting with the audience. I am so happy for her that the audience love her so much. She is looking gorgeous. I have noticed the weight loss, so long as it isn't too drastic and it's not through stress or her being pressurised, I think it okay. She is looking really lovely. I hope her CD is available soon.

To PagePage and Vicki Smith. Earlier - don't know how much earlier, you spoke of Kate Smith. Yes, I'm old enough to have heard her on the radio and later to see her on TV, and loved her, too. Another favorite of mine is Vera Lynn, sweetheart of the British troups of WWII. Now, you know my vintage! :-) Dame Vera Lynn's voice is so resonant and her enunciation so correct. Beautiful voice - still living in England at age 92. Susan has them all beat, I think - with her voice quality and range, etc., etc. She's certainly the heroine of this era, huh? @Frazier, I have a RECORD of Vera Lynn - I always loved her sound. She was another who had that lovely soaring quality in her voice and sounded very sincere when she sang. Susan's voice is much more beautiful, but I can imagine her doing some of Vera's lovely songs. Kate Smith I don't quite remember, but my parents liked her.

Of course to me there is noone who compares to Susan. She is so much greater than the others, in every way.

We haven't seen any news, especially in the trash department, because I think Susan has made them eat their words by her performances. I've never seen someone get on stage, so calm, and sing with such power like any of us would just sit down and eat a piece of toast. What more can be said that hasn't already been about the nature of her vocals. I'm going to be kinda sad when the tour is over cause we won't get to see her singing like we do almost everyday, but, then again, I'm looking forward to it because then we'll see more things from her. So, I'm going to go with this line of thinking. I don't care what she sings, where she sings, who she sings with. I just want to hear her sing, PERIOD! In the shower, on her front porch, in her garden, don't matter to me where it's at.

Many comments have been made about the mesmerizing effect Susan's voice has -- forgetting to eat, being late to work, staying up too late, not getting housework done, etc. I have a funny story along this line to share.

Several weeks ago I was driving back to my home in Kansas from a visit to my daughter's in Colorado. I was listening to a CD of Susan's "Cry Me A River" that my daughter downloaded for me, plus music on NPR, and enjoying the beautiful weather, the scenic countryside, etc. Got completely caught up in it, especially "Cry Me A River." So much so that I forgot to stop for gas. All of a sudden I realized this, checked the gauge, and saw the needle was on EMPTY and the orange light was on! I was 5 miles from the nearest small town, but fortunately, I made it there -- only to find out the town no longer has a gas station. I wound up buying 2 gallons of gas from a man who was trimming weeds in his front yard, just enough to get to the next small town and buy more!! Thank goodness I didn't have to call my son to come bail me out -- I'd never hear the end of that (especially since my kids think I've "gone over the top" in my obsession with Susan Boyle!)

Amazingly Critical: I don't think that's the right name for you - I think Amazingly positive is a better fit. I like what you said that she made them eat their words. Well how can anyone criticize her performances - they are as Piers says, 'stunning'. Her ease on stage speaks for itself (ya like eating toast lol)- she is a cosumate performer - professional. Ah poor tabloids - they'll have to run around and pick on somebody else now....life is hard when yer a bottom feeder I reckon.

Here's an interesting question we might be able to discuss. In IDAD, "voices soft as thunder", am I the only one who prefers the way she sang that line in the audition over the tour performances? I just absolutely love the way she hits that note in Thunder in the audition. What is all your favorite vocal notes in a particular song? I love the way she sings SEEEEEEEEEEEEEMS in the tour. I've tried it myself, and, well, I won't ever quit my day job.

Oooooooo, I picked Amazingly Critical because I thought at the time, when Susan's audition came out that, it was amazing and critical to the world because it brought something so uplifting, considering what you read in the news everyday. That's how I felt and still feel, which is why I come here a lot. You get so sick of all the doom and gloom everyday online that this was just extraordinary and well, 9-1-1 critical for human nature. Wish we could see more of these types of stories.

Yes amazingly Critical: Re: doom and gloom: We had a friend who showed up in our home distraught over a marriage break up a few days ago who took pills and booze and we had to call an ambulance and it was so heartbreaking when his 12 year old son trailed in. Sooo glad there is world wide applause for Susan! I hope she REALLY understands the hope and joy she brings to so many people. Can Tommy or one of the other talented members of this site create a DVD of all Susan's performances? I want all pictures of her, and some of the videos that were pictures and music too. I am becoming more relaxed myself about Susan being a world-class, incomparable performer. She touches the soul in a mighty way and she is so amazingly versatile that she can perform in array of venues, as DannyG mentioned earlier. But alas, I am becoming a victim of brainworm, waking up in the middle of the night with her voice in my head. I have never been a fan club member, a blogger, or a chat room participant before. If this is a second childhood, as someone suggested, then I might as well enjoy it. And Susan too! What a gift!

I keep imagining Susan's dear Mother looking down from Heaven and smiling broadly. She knows her little girl has made her mark and is spreading love and happiness. That Susan is getting that back in spades must make her Mother even more delighted! Susan deserves all of this, and so much more! What a dear, sweet, person she seems to be! I'm hooked, and I don't usually follow any particular singer or actor, ever!

PS I forgot to mention that Pebbles was getting her own version of a Canine Passport some time ago. Of course, the tabloids immediately attacked her for dragging her cat around all over the place. Someone even suggested that the ASPCA on her! As Einstein once said, "There are two things that are infinite: the universe itself and human stupidity--and I'm not sure about the former." Susan will soar far, far above all this and become an inspiration for mankind. She is indeed magic and real all at once! Astounding!

As I have questioned myself, how her talent was not recognised at that time is almost beyond belief. DJG Scotland - any chance of adding this to your video download list? That would be brilliant and add yet another track to the collection. I have already got "The Way We Were" on mp3, but the video would be great, too??? Just asking!

@AmazinglyCritical Hi, don't know if you are still there. I commented on the word "thunder" in the previous blog and said, rather jokingly,that Susan might be trying to Americanize her pronunciations. However, after listening to the last couple of performances, I'm wondering if it is easier for her to sing "er" than "ah". I agree with you that the way she used to sing it is nicer.

I have played IDAD so many times since the first day I heard Susan sing it back in April, that my African Grey parrot is now singing it! He sings "I dreamed a dream - woohoooooooooo!"

Susan DVDs to download.

Just incase you've missed it, I have been creating DVDs of Susan's live concert performances for those who are technically unable to do so for themselves. These DVDs have been turned into ISO files, that you can easily download yourself. Using some simple (and free) software, you can turn those ISO files straight into a DVD (NOTE: you must use a blank DVD, a CD will NOT work!) that you can then take away and play on your home DVD player/TV just like any other. All the DVDs are in NTSC format for use in the US (they should also work anywhere else). There are currently 11 DVDs available. The procedure for creating them is the same for each DVD:

1. Go get the ISO file for the DVD you require - see the list below for the links to each DVD download (choose the 'free download' option - don't use 'premium' because it will cost. There is a 30 second delay before the download link will show for adverts to display).

2. Save it somewhere on your machine, and then unZIP (DVD 2 isn't ZIPped) the file (XP/Vista: right-click on the .zip file, then select 'Extract All'), which will create SUSANDVDx.ISO (where 'x' is the number of the DVD you've downloaded)

3. If you have your own ISO to DVD burner software (most versions of Nero, Roxio, Cyberlink should have this feature, or use ImgBurn again if you downloaded it before) then you can now use that to create your DVD from the ISO file

4. If you need an ISO to DVD burner (for free) then I would recommend ImgBurn: Click here to download (Just click the blue 'Download' button, then save the .exe file, then run it to install)

5. To create your DVD with ImgBurn: Insert a blank DVD, run ImgBurn, Select 'Write Image File to Disc' option, click the folder image next to where it says 'Please select a file...' then browse to the SUSANDVDx.ISO file (where 'x' is the number of the DVD you've downloaded), then click the image at the bottom of the screen (with the green triangle in the middle of 2 pictures of a disc) to start creating the DVD. Let it do its stuff - it will tell you when it's done. (You may want to untick the 'Verify' tick box if you want your disc to be ready quickly).

6. Eject the disc, take it to your home DVD player and play it!

When Susan sang Memory in the show last night, she went seamlessly into what singers call, "the head voice" on the line, "and soon it will be morning"- when she first performed Memory, she did NOT go to her heard voice on the word "morning"-- She is perfect now, and there is no way she can top it. I do hope she takes a day off before the Saturday show, which I believe is in London again at the Apollo with 2 back to back shows.

That makes sense, Lonnirose, but everyone in the world probably knows Susan's address anyway. With the phishing expeditions we have seen, I think it's just as important to warn unsuspecting members to be careful who they give their own addresses and information to.

Many have commented on Susan losing weight - my other half - who is a medic- did wonder very early on if Susan had an undiagnosed under active thyroid- she was quite a slender young woman and as she got older showed some of the signs one might associate with an under active thyroid which is a very common problem which goes undiagnosed in a large number of women. If he was right and they have picked it up - Once treated it can lead to a return ones normal body weight - which for her was quite slender. This is speculative of course, and nothing more than that.

@pickled tink - it could just be her good appetite! If you look at her eating the sandwhich in the audtion clip, it looks like she was going to take a bite of her fingers too! She's also been photographed with a full bar of chocolate in her hand too. I also noted a bag of sugar in her kitchen, so she has a sweet tooth.

Everyone in the world knows Susan's address is Blackburn, West Lothian, Scotland. I sent her a fan letter right after her audition on BGT and the post office said it would get to her and it must have as my return address was on it and I never got it back.

I'm glad I was a early bird on the fan letter before the world descended on her. :)

Hi Susan friends of the earth.

I have written poetry all my life about my life as I lived it, and anything else that inspires me. To have been inspired by Susan is an understatement. So here goes:

They say the 'big bang' theory

Is how this Universe got unfurled

But it was Susan really

Who brought her love to all the world!

Its so strange how her voice can stay in your head and of course, we must all know the words of Memory and IDAD by now. Just wish I could do Susan's voice justice by singing along with her, but she would probably fall about on the floor with uncontrollable giggling!

I imagine Susan has had to be very careful with her monthly stipend and probably never felt she could spend money on fresh fruits and vegetable, but bought cheaper foods loaded with fats and carbohydrates. NOW with the world at her finger tips as well trained folks around her, she is probably getting a very balanced diet. AND she probably isn't spending any time in the kitchen, but is probably way toooo busy tending to all aspects of business. AND NOW she has set her mind to "following her yellow brick road" with a slimmer and, most likely, a much healthier body for new clothes to adorn.

@lucyb- That exactly what I was thinking- they are all eating on the expense of BGT and most likely good proteins and leaner food which is more expensive than carbs-- plus all that running around, standing, rehearsing, etc burns up a lot more calories than sitting at home, and maybe she is conciously also trying to lose weight, also.

@LucyB, yes! Susan can now have anything she could ever want, and that makes me SOOOOOOOO happy.

I've been thinking about this and would just like to voice it. Some of the other big stars have welcomed Susan and I think that's really nice. Ms. Elaine Paige has been very lovely in complimenting our girl, as have Dolly Parton and the great Barbra Streisand. Barbra even called Susan when she was in the hospital and Dolly said she'd love to meet her. Countless others too. That is splended of them and makes me think more highly of them than I did before. Just a thought.

Blackburn. West Lothian, Scotland is sufficient if you want to send a fan letter or card to Susan. Not her exact address but the post office told me it was sufficient when I sent a fan letter to Susan right after her 1st audition on BGT and bedfore I joined this fan club. Hope this helps. :)

When the tour started I questioned as the whether this tour would be good for Susan...Ive changed my opinion on that for like another poster has said it seems that Susan has really discovered that she is well loved in England in a massive way....her management team [Simon included] must be very pleased on how things are going with her to see her becoming happy again...I wish her all the best !

DJG, Yes, sorry about that! After I posted, I went back to your DVD list and I spotted them there. Downloaded them and they are working fine. Thanks. We are certainly building up quite a collection, but I just hope that Susan is not overdoing it. I still worry about the strain that all these shows is having on her voice. She clearly loves to sing but I feel she may need a rest again. There are another two shows coming up In London and I think that she will want to sing there after the last reception that she received in the capital. Just my take on things. Of course, she knows what she is doing, "oor lassie," and I know that she wants to please all her fans. So, let's see if she sings tonight. I, too, would like her to go to Prague as soon as possible, but I think that she will probably now complete the tour, so it could be a good while before we see her in the studio, more's the pity.

I feel Susan is using the tour to learn a great deal, She is trying out subtle variations in each performance to see what works and is becoming more and more confident and relaxed as she goes along. It's been a steep learning curve, but she is a quick study.

Hi again Susan family.

I have just watched last nights videos, obviously having watched ALL of Susan's videos.

Susan changes things from performance to performance. I think she is experimenting to find out the best combinations which to my mind means when she finally gets in the recording studios, she will amalgamate the better than best (if that's possible).

When Simon, Piers and Amanda shouted at Susan to come back on the stage in her audition (I seem to remember Piers shouting "oi"), and Ant and Dec oushing her back on, Simon had a job to remember her name! I bet he remembers it now - I bet they all do!

Thanks for the info. re downloading youtube videos with real player. Wish I had known that before, some of the videos I really liked have been taken off e.g. one of Jane Vasey playing with the Downchild Blues Band in the 70s. She was a really great piano player who had passed on now. The youtube downloader thing wouldn't download onto my computer but realplayer works well. Thanks again

Like others who have posted - I too think the tour has been a good thing for Susan. If nothing more than to gain experience and desensitize just a bit to the crowds and the press so that she is in a place that is more grounded and within her own natural sense of being.

The "I know Nothing" that she said after the semi final is from Fawlty Towers and her walk back in after she started to walk out after her audition has to be from Keeping Up Apperances (Mrs. Bucket). I love Susan and I love British comedy.

@Lonnierose: Hey neighbor in KY! I went through a time when I was nuts over Vera Lynn. I had been a fan as a young teenager, when I first heard her sing "When Swallows Say Goodbye" with the British troops, and "If You Love Me Really Love Me" and all the many other wonderful WWII songs. Then when I was surprised by her appearance on a WWII commemoration on TV in 1994 (Walter Kronkite was master of ceremonies), I really went "nuts" and bought everything I could find that she'd recorded. You wouldn't believe what I went through to order her autobiography from a little bookstore in London!! :-) Such fun. So I've been down this road before, and I believe it's worse this time. Can't stay away from Susan's videos, etc. Love that girl - love her voice - just like all the rest of you devoted fans!

DocRobbie, thank you so much for the link - Aberdeen excellent quality! I was a stunnung performance and a sensational video. I could really appreciate the sound and I felt a while as if I was really on this concert. In Poland it's now 10.20 pm, I've just came back from a work dinner in an Embassy in Warsaw and even there the guests (diplomates from different - most west European - countries) in my corner finished by talking about Susan! Love to all of you, I'm tired to death and go to bed at once, but first I just had to check what's new on my favourite Site! Goodnight, have many Susan dreams!

The above video is great and Susan is fantastic again--maybe the best of so many geat performances. It appears to me she has her eyes closed part of the time especially during Memory. I remember in an interview after the BGT audition she said she had her eyes closed for part of it. Maybe this helps stay in the moment of the song, feel all the emotion of it and then convey that to us with her expressive singing. She keeps every performance fresh and new no matter how many times she sings these same two songs. An absolute amazing ability to keep us transfixed by her singing and we never tire of hearing it.

Hi, fellow Susa-fans!

I am babysitting at my daughter's house and took a few minutes to catch up on the comments here... When I clicked on the link above for another version of the Aberdeen concert, two things happened.

1) My little 2-yr-old grandson came RUNNING in from the back room, ran up to the computer and shouted, "I like that!"--motioning at Susan singing, and stood here entranced until the end of her song...

Hi, I can see everything's fine in Susaland! Welcome to our Japanese friends! Wow! I never thought I would one day get an opportunity of getting in touch with Japanese citizens! Can you imagine that?

Zoey, I love that image of Susan as a blooming flower "everytime we see her, another petal has opened". How true!

WAMcKinley, Susan's voice can indeed be compared to the mesmerizing voice of sirens. I'm thinking of the new tone she's found on "be" and "seems" in her latest performances of IDAD: truely out of the world...Except that, contrary to sirens who lure sailors down to the bottom of the seas, Susan takes us up to Heaven!

Well, if I sum it up, so far, Susan has been compared to a flower (a rose more specifically), a siren, a butterfly...not bad for the so called "frumpy" "little lady" from Blackburn! Nobody can deny she now IS the wonderful LADY that had been hiding in her voice for so long! The geni is out of the bottle and there's no way we could put it back there! Susan enjoys the freedom of being herself at last. She is showing the world who she is and was during all those long years of neglect. Go get them, Susan!

Sorry to post a post a bit of a downer, but there is a story today on an X Factor incident this past Tuesday during their auditions (Simon Cowell is producer and judge, as he is on BGT). Here's an excerpt:

"A woman auditioning for The X Factor threatened to commit suicide after being told she had not made it through to the next round of the talent contest.

The drama happened on the second day of auditions at the Excel centre in London as she was interviewed minutes after getting the 'no' vote from all four judges. To add to the pressure, the rejection came before an audience of 2,000 now drafted in to watch the audition process.

Producers summoned an emergency doctor they have on standby as the woman, in her 50s, began sobbing and screaming."

@Frazier, you in Kentucky too? Where? Ah, the great Vera Lynn singing "If You Loved Me", and how about "Auf Weidersehn"? Never thought there would be anyone who could outdo her, but our Susan has done it! Loved listening to Vera, but never felt the emotional connection that I do with Susan, and Susan's voice is much more beautiful. Susan touches my very soul - just seeing her picture brings tears and her videos usually leave me sobbing.

SUSAN BOYLE INTERNATIONAL FAN CLUBS. After the BGT Tour is over, many of us are going to go into serious Susan Boyle withdrawal. Perhaps, we should write Max Clifford -- not to beat him about the head and shoulders (although he may deserve it) -- but to volunteer to staff Susan Boyle Fan Clubs in our respective countries. We could work from home in our spare time, responding to each fan letter with material (and postage!) supplied by Max. We'd come up with a list of volunteers, by country, here. Then, we'd ask Paul to send Max a letter (which one of us could write) proposing our plan and identifying the volunteers. What is there to lose? I bet it would ease Susan's mind to know that all the fan mail piling up in Blackburn from all over the world will be answered by somebody who cares. What do you all think?

Glad I checked the fan comments on the video by Alliijuddsex. They sounded just like us (maybe some ARE us, just don't post here (yet) and it is evident that there are soooo many fans on numerous fan sites or on no fan site at all. Think of all those who don't even have a computer...how they will be so amazed when she hits television and radio. What a wonderful result for Susan after all her sadness. Do you notice when a news article refers to a "spokeswoman" for Susan that they no longer say the spokeswoman's name (Nicole ?? -- what is her name -- Phillips)? They just say "spokeswoman". I wonder if this is because they don't want her (Nicole) getting bombarded with e-mails from Susan's fans? And, my next question is -- is it Nicole ____ or is it Max Clifford? I hear Nicole ____ is no longer associated with Max Clifford, am I right on that?

There is an unpleasant association being made today if you Google Susan's name. Seems a contestant on X-Factor was threatening to commit suicide because she was voted off the show, and they are referencing Susan in connection with this. This I don't like. Susan has nothing at all to do with this and her name should not be thrown into this scenario at all.

FYI, I called Amazon today to inquire how many "notifications" they had received for the release of Susan's CD. Sad to report only 1,567, but that is US only. Not to worry, I understand from a fan on YT that Walgreens preordered some preposterous number.

If you have an Amazon account (which is free), go ask to be notified when her CD is available. If you don't have an Amazon account.....go get one! All that is required is a cc number and an email address.

Also saw on blog post here many days ago about Wal-Mart having 1,000,000 or so preorders, true or not I just don't know! In any event, orders WILL come flooding in once its confirmed that Susan WILL be recording a CD and a definate date is set for its release; have always contended that it will sell 10,000,000 copies within three to six months and go "Diamond" according to RIAA Certification.

Don't forget folks, we live in a modern world where downloads are easier and cheaper than CDs. Folks, including myself, will be looking to get the download version when it comes out. I wouldn't be able to easily buy the CD even if I wanted to, so it will have to be download. I'm not sure I've even got a CD player anymore! All I use is a 40Gb mp3 player with a set of amplified speakers and my entire music collection is available at the press of a button!

@FlatBroke, regarding the Walmart purchase of 1,000,000 of Susan's CD: Some time ago one of our members told us that his friend works at Walmart in purchasing and that it was true. Could be why Amazon's pre-orders are not as much as we think they should be - cheaper to buy at Walmart since there are no shipping charges involved.

Nicola, you're right, Lonnirose, nicknamed Nicky. She is quite accomplished it seems. She has written several impressive books, phd, college prof at some point, physiotherapist I think it was. She advertises as a partner to help you decide what you want to do - i.e. thinking partner. Her bio is no longer listed on Max's website. I think I have more info on her IF I can find it.

@Fran, good question! Her publicist was originally named as Nicola Phillips of the Max Clifford Agency. We don't know if Nicola Phillips has quit Max Clifford to work for Simon or she just quit, period. There is a picture of Susan with Max Clifford, so he is involved in some fashion, or was. I was under the impression that Max Clifford and Simon work together, but don't know for sure.

@terijay: I agree with you imo Susan sounds wiped out. I give her so much credit. There are people who stand there and watch the game and those who pick up the bat and keep swinging until they get put in the game. She knew enough to know she needed an assist from the Priory (who wouldn't?) and it seems as though she and they have tweaked her back to her old self--I feel like so much of the anxiety she had is gone and seemed to enjoying her last week of touring.

I thought you SUSANFANS would like to know that Elaine Paige has asked to speak to Susan privately regarding her talents and the road she is entering and how to handle the tabloids. NO ONE on Susan's team have allowed this to happen as of yet. I am glad Elaine has reached out to Susan. I hope Susan knows this and pitches a royal fit to make this meeting happen. Elaine says she has offered this repeatedly but to no avail.

I am sad about Farrah too. I thought that documentary to her struggles to deal with the caner were heart wrenching, but very well done. Loved seeing all the sculpture she has done in her home. The MEANING of the song Memory: After listening to Susan's haunting rendition of Memory, I set out to find out what the words to the song actually meant. Finally, I found a site with reviewes of the play that helped explain it: The song is sung from the perspective of a cat named Grizabella, a member of a cat community living in a junkyard. Grizabella was a former Glamour cat, and most of the cats were jealous of her beauty. As she aged the cats that were jealous took sadistic pleasure in her faded beauty. She was shunned by all but three young cats, and a senior cat, Old Deuterotomy. She sings about her memory of better times, and to remind us of the importance of memory through time.

Because of the cruelty Grizabella has endured by the bully cats, she is chosen by Old Deuterotomy to be reborn. As the song ends with the new dawn; a new day beginning, her dreams of acceptance and love come true. She turns her face to the sun as she is given new acceptance by all of the cats, and becomes loved again.

It gives me goosebumps that Susan chose this song. It contains so many parallels to Susan's life (being shunned and bullied for being different, only to come in to her own and be loved by all). Any of you who can contribute to, or refine this interpretation of the meaning behind the song Memory, please do so.

To me personally, it's so profound to compare how close the transformation in the song is with our beloved Susan's own journey. Like the theme "the meek shall inherit the earth." Being shunned and then to finally have acceptance and be reborn.

Over the years we have lost a good many wonderful entertainers, and perhaps we did not fully realize how lucky we were that they were around until they were gone.

Dean Martin comes to mind, George Burns, Johnny Carson, Judy Garland, Bob Hope, Bing Crosby, and so many others.

In the last couple days three entertainers have left us. Ed McMahon's laughter could be heard in the vast majority of homes in America for decades. Michael Jackson from the time he was a small boy entertained millions. And Actress Fara Fawcett brought a rare beauty and talent to the roles she played over the years.

Off topic? Maybe. But I think there are lessons to be learned here. There is good reason to treasure Susan Boyle's magnificent talent...to celebrate everything about her...to cherish those magic moments with her... past, present, and future. She has brought a gift to all the world...a rare and beautiful gift.

Millions have viewed her performances...and treasure the way she has touched our hearts. Some people bring a special kinda magic into the world. Susan is one of those people.

So, as we remember those wonderful entertainers of the past...let us resolve to treasure our Susan even more in the days, months, and years ahead. She continues to lift us up...and has brought a wonderful joy and happiness into our lives. I think we should pay tribute of some sort in here to Michael Jackson. He was a music legend and paved the way for many other musicians. All the talent shows such as American Idol, X Factor, AGT, BGT, they all are in search of something they wish could resemble the dynasty of Michael Jackson. BGT got lucky, they found someone who will most likely become another huge dynasty.

I met Michael Jackson in Hollywood under professionsl circumstances in the mid 80's. Despite his unususl lifestyle, he was very gracious to me. I loved his music and I liked him.

I haven't heard anything from Coventry, but, I do think that it's time for Susan to take another break before the two shows in London at the weekend. If she, indeed, sounded tired, I am not surprised. It does take a lot out of you. On another topic, the BBC has confirmed Michael Jackson's death. He was a true genius who thrilled the world of music for over 30 years. His like will never be seen again. "Thriller" is still the benchmark album, in my opinion. 51m albums sold! It was sooooo difficult for me to understand the song at first, because I had never seen the play, and didn't even know it was being sung from a cat's perspective. In my research, it's exactly as you say, the poem was considered by Eliot to be too harsh to include, as (reportedly) the poem was originally written for his young god-daughter. Apparently that's why it went unpublished. You're good at "getting it." :-)

Ariel, you wouldn't know about it until the hackers accomplished their goal. One of my websites was hacked 3 years ago, and I had no reason to think there was a problem beforehand. The website's ISP can tell, though, if they have the "alarms" set up to recognize hacking attempts. My website's ISP nw has software to warn of hacking attempts, but they don't notify me when the attempts are occurring.

It also gives me chills to think of the similarity to Susan's life. The song and Susan's singing of it now will mean even more every time I hear it. Don't know about any red button...but do feel sad about Farah Fawcett and Michael Jackson, both of whom contributed to the beauty and culture of the world. They serve as a reminder to 'give garlands to the living', including, and especially, Susan Boyle.

@judyokla - You must have been watching an older performance video because last night in Birmingham, Susan did not touch her diaphram once - she hit every note brilliantly, and this after her Wembley and Aberdeen performances. Really, she was perfection, but no diaphram touching, watch the first video above.

judyokla and Lonnirose, thanks for your replies to my question about who is her publicist. judyokla, if it is Nicola Phillips, it seems like she does not want her name used anymore, just "spokeswoman". Lonnirose, yes, there are so many references still to Max Clifford, and Nicola is no longer with him, so seems there is still some confusion as to who it really is. It will come out soon, I'm sure. @SandyUS.. Wonderful post about Memory...really enjoyed it. But Susan wanted to do a trilogy of I Dreamed a Dream, Whistle Down the Wind and Somewhere from WS Story. The first representing her life, the 2nd her ill parents and the third her mom passing on and she finding a place for herself somewhere.....Her brother Gerry said it on one of Billy's shows. BGT made her do Memory~she didn't want to~ I loooove Susan Boyle's beautiful voice but am sooooo ready to hear new songs :-)

I saw Cats in person many years ago when it toured the U.S. The singer who played Grizabella was magnificent and I cried then, right there in the theater. I have always loved Memories ever since.

I thought when Susan chose to sing it that it expressed her heart's hope, and now it expresses her hope fulfilled. Oh, no, I'm tearing up again. Can't help it.
