Susan Boyle Gets a New Look
Posted by SBFII Admin on April 21, 2009

Susan left home yesterday sporting a new look, she was wearing a funky leather jacket and a print-pattern dress after a trip to the hairdressers.

susan.jpg

Susan said: "I will need to sort out my dress sense and my weight. It wasn't until I saw myself on TV that I realised how frumpy I was."

"It's not a big thing - it doesn't worry me too much - but I will be doing a bit more exercise to help me sort it out."

"When there is this much attention on you, you have to plan what you wear every day and look your best."

"I just want to look nice, and smart."

Susan, how down to earth you are, and practical, despite the stardom! I am so happy that the strength of your voice is being recognized at last, and that the strength of your personality shines through also. All souls long to sing, and you are singing for us!

Susan you do what ever makes YOU feel good about yourself! If you want to "fine tune" yourself a little, then go ahead! But we love you just the way you are...you are so humble and down to earth. I smile every time I think about you! Thank you Susan Boyle!

Susan the biggest part of your appeal is your stunning voice. But there is another side to your appeal that your fans hope you never lose and that is the fact that you appear like an average "normal" looking woman.Rather then an impossibly thin, barely clad, botox addicted celebrity who needs so much backing to make any appearance of being able to sing,YOU can sing without backing and that is an enormous gift from you to the world. If YOU want to change things about yourself,go right ahead.BUT DO NOT allow someone to dictate how you should look, act and feel.

Susan you are perfect just the way you are. The world fell in love with you before you changed anything.

Susan Boyle, please do not change a thing about yourself because we all saw your inner beauty and it's just what we all needed, as somehow you gave us all hope for the world. You brightened up that stage brighter than the 4th of July and your wonderful spirit was as great as your wonderful and magnificant voice.

Susan, I am a Christian, and as such I want to share a verse of Scripture with you that I'm sure you know as a church-goer, and with everyone else out there reading this. I hope that your story can help to be a good illustration of this point for everyone-when I saw how they first booed you and laughed at up there on that stage, this verse automatically popped into my mind:

John 13:34 (New International Version)

34"A new command I give you: Love one another. As I have loved you, so you must love one another.

I hope that everyone out there can get something from this verse-I want to point out how Jesus said that we must love one another as He has loved us. Another quick verse illustrates how great His love is for us, and that's the standard by which we should love one another.

16This is how we know what love is: Jesus Christ laid down his life for us. And we ought to lay down our lives for our brothers.

By "lay down your life", it does not necessarily mean physically laying down your life, it means putting others ahead of self, and living for Christ, who did indeed lay down His life for us. It' was God's great act of love to the whole world-sacrificing His Son for us. 2 more verses illustrate this.

John 3:16 (New International Version)

16"For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life.

Romans 5:8 But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us.

THAT'S the kind of love we need to have for one another-the same unconditional kind of Love that God showed for us when we didn't deserve it, and most importantly THAT WE RECEIVE WHEN WE ACCEPT JESUS CHRIST INTO OUR HEARTS AS OUR PERSONAL LORD AND SAVIOUR-THAT'S WHAT THE SECOND PART OF JOHN 3:16 MEANS-GOD OFFERS THE GIFT OF HIS LOVE, IT"S UP TO US TO ACCEPT IT OR REJECT IT. HE WANTS US TO ACCEPT IT SO THAT WE CAN LIVE WITH HIM FOREVER. HE LOVED US SO MUCH THAT HE SACRIFICED HIS SON SO THAT HE COULD OFFER US THIS GIFT. IT WAS UNCONDITIONAL LOVE. THAT'S what Jesus COMMANDED us to show one another-UNCONDITIONAL LOVE.

As I said above, I sincerely hope that your story will serve as a reminder of that, of how God wants us to love one another, and most importantly how we can receive the Great Gift of His Unconditional Love for us. I'll end with one more verse to sum this whole thing up.

2 Peter 3:9 (King James Version)

9The Lord is not slack concerning his promise, as some men count slackness; but is longsuffering to us-ward, not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance.

That's why God offers the Gift-He doesn't want us to perish. May your story help lead people to Him so that they don't

God Bless, Susan

Susan, you've won us over with your lovely voice and your normal, natural looks--you are a refreshing breath of spring air, and we love you the way you are! I especially appreciate your self-confidence--you have got an incredible set of pipes and you KNOW it, yet you also seem such a humble person; it's an endearing combination. As to what clothes you want to wear, how you'd like to fix your hair, etc--whatever makes you feel good about yourself is going to be fine with those of us who are actively watching your sudden climb to fame. Am sending you all my best wishes from Texas!

Susan, you are a natural beauty. Most women couldn't hold a candle to you without makeup, styled hair and designer clothing! You ARE beautiful without any of it. I think you should have fun exploring ways to make the most of your natural beauty. A hairstyle that is easy care and shows off your gorgeous curls. A facial to rejuvenate that lovely skin. A little shaping for those expressive eyebrows. Some comfortable clothing to perform in and to interview in. You spoke of wanting to get in shape - a good idea! You'll be working hard to learn new songs and material - starting to get healthier now will only increase your stamina! God bless you and never let anyone "package" you. Stay the natural beauty that you are!

Hi Susan!

I loved the way you were when I first saw you on TV at that phenomenal audition! But thank you for thinking to improve on your looks -- and there's nothing wrong with that, I reckon. I can see that everybody's doing that these days - from people of many walks of life; I also add fun to my life by improving on myself.

BUT I think we, your fans, love you no matter how you look -- cos, after all, you are truly beautiful already: your smiles, your humility, your sense of humour ... your voice and talents.

Yes, you are right - losing a bit of weight is good, and I reckon it's actually for everyone. But again, you look very good in the eyes of everyone, by the look of it all.

A nice tailored jacket on a pretty dress will be very nice, perhaps, and a wavy loose hair with a bit of perm-colour, and a bit of make-up. And doing some work-outs plus eating properly - to tone down slightly (you're not really fat) and for your good health.

Most probably, you already know those things.

So, I hope you'll do whatever will make you happy and comfortable.

Lastly, I just wish to echo what one of your lovely fans here has written :

Great leather jacket & very pretty dress. Feeling feminine is a wonderful part of being a woman; primping & pampering yourself can be a gift of appreciation for who you are--from you to you. Do as much as makes you happy, then thumb your nose at anyone who has nothing better to do than critique the appearance of another. Being yourself is the greatest gift of all.

Hello Susan, You look very nice in this picture. You also looked very nice in the pretty gold dress you wore on the BGT show and you sang the song so perfect and lovely that you came through as a Angel! There is nothing wrong if you want to fix up some, just don't let them over-do you and never let anyone change your heart and spirit. Exercise would be good for you, you need to be healthy to sing for us and we want you healthy so you will be around to sing to us for years to come. We want you healthy because we love you too! You are a blessing to us and a gift from God. Thank you for sharing your beauty with us! BTW, I didn't hear anyone boo you. I saw one girl make a snub face, but that other girl was just saying that she doesn't know who Elaine Paige is. I don't know why Amanda said everyone was against you either, I didn't get that impression. How could anyone be against you if they had not even heard you yet. But everyone LOVED you when you started singing, no matter how they felt at first. You sang/sung the song so beautiful and with such grace in your voice and your movments, that your spirit shined through and we saw the Angel that you are right in front of our eyes, you made us all melt. If you saw the video, you must have seen Simon and Piers melt, and Amanda too. Well, that is how we ALL felt too, we ALL melted! You are a PHENOMENON - YOU melted the hearts of the world! You are such a relief. So many people yell and scream to sing now days, because they have to force a sound out of theirself, but your voice is beautiful and it flows out of you like the beauty of a harp, because your voice is angelic. Now you are our Angel. I am SO SORRY you have had so many bullies in your life, you didn't deserve that, but remember, that happens to a lot of good people. I wish you the very BEST of life from now on! BTW, I never seen Simon look at ANYONE the way he looked at you! ;)
Posted by luvsue2 on April 22, 2009
Of course a girl likes to look her best so Susan you do whatever makes you feel GOOD! Just know that you'd be loved if you did nothing at all appearance wise. Just sing for us darlin'...just sing!!!! Note to fans: Don't let YOUR expectations lessen her joy. Sure we like her as she is, but if it makes HER happy to try on new looks, then don't begrudge her that. I don't think we have to worry about her going too Hollywoodish on us. She blessed us with her angel voice and a lesson learned, now let's let her learn a little too if that's what she wants to do. I hope she has family and friends close by to keep the creeps away, though she can probably handle them herself. They'll be coming out of the woodwork, unfortunately...

In a world of increasing chaos and skepticism, God sent an angel of light and inspiration. You're His sign that there is goodness and beauty all around us and we can embrace that instead of the negativity. Let your light continue to shine and your voice sooth our troubled hearts. Don't change one single thing about yourself, you're an angel just the way you are. One voice can change the world.

Susan, I would like to make one special request of you, if you are ever able. There is a hymn that I love very dearly that the pastor of the church where I used to go sang at Christmas, but I didn't get to hear her sing it. I was new to the church, and the service was an hour earlier than the normal time, so I came in right as it was over. i asked the pastor if she could sing the song for me agin as a special favor, be she said no because that would show favoritism in the church and might upset other members of the congregation-I even offered her money to sing it for me, I made her a cash offer to do the entire service over from beginning to end as it happened in the hour that I missed. But she still said no-no amount of cash would sway her. So I was wondering if you could possibly sing the hymn for me someday and put it online. It's name is "Of The Father's Love Begotten". If you could possibly do this for me someday, I would appreciate it greatly.

take care, Susan, and once again, God Bless

Dear Susan,

You're wonderful just as you are and never let anyone convince you otherwise. I love that you, too, so very much practiced your singing talent with your hairbrush in the mirror! ME, TOO! It was my time to be by myself and let it rip! I am greatly looking forward to what is in store for you in the future. You have a wonderful joy at your new experiences but you, also, seemed to be a very grounded lady. Don't let the 'world at large' and show business change you and make you jaded. It can easily happen. Just keep being who you really are...SUSAN! and you'll be alright. AMERICA loves you! TEXAS loves you! We're really rooting for you. Your dreams have, indeed, come true and your mother knows it. You have arrived... now, go enjoy it with every fibre of your being but don't let Pierce get fresh with you! Blessings on you, dear, dear lady.

Susan you look great in the jacket and print dress. I'm glad you are going to pay attention to yourself and plan to be careful about makeovers. Be especially careful when you go to Oprah's - her makeovers of guests are sometimes grotesque.
Posted by The Professor on April 22, 2009
Susan, just be yourself and conduct yourself that would make your mother proud. Be very careful now, as to people trying to take advantage of you. If thing progress to a point that you need a manager, rely on Simon because, he is level headed and wil lnot take advantage of you.

Enjoy yourself, and Susan never forget who gave you that wonderful angel voice.

Susan, You have a lovely smile, beautiful expressive and sparkling eyes, and a most stunning singing voice. You are 22 years younger than I, and I envy your beauty. You also have a witty intelligence for which most people on this planet would give an arm and a leg. Continue being the best Susan Boyle you can be, and enjoy what comes.

Susan your beauty is beyond the visual, everytime I listen to your voice you truly become more beautiful than before. Your beauty is real and please don't let the snide remarks of some media direct you to there way of thinking. The new hairdo is for dinner with Peirs?????? Watching his reaction many times over I'm pretty sure he sees you as beautiful, true beauty. Susan I truly enjoy listening to you and am anticipating a CD sooner than later. May God continue to Bless you as he has truly blessed the world with you in it.

Susan , I want to second every word posted by JJ :) on April 22, 2009 . I shared that awe too. You look super in your outfit . Fresh as a sea breeze. And then that voice oh, Susan , I lack words save to say that I thought that voice can be best described as " soft as thunder". Your performance was indeed stunning. A privilege , indeed . Tears were my only speech .
Posted by marej-1 on April 22, 2009
Susan, I share the sentiments posted by all your fans. I just have to let you know that I have watched your audition video countless times and honestly, I have cried each and every time. Your voice is unbelievable! The combination of your voice and your charm are what make me cry. I listened to a cut of you singing "Cry me a River" as well, and wouldn't you know it - I cried at that one too! My husband has always said that when he listens to the singer Ann Murray, he is sure there is an angel in the room. He told me today that he's afraid that poor Ann has now fallen off her perch, and forevermore your voice will be the one he hears when there is an angel in his presence. Stay true to yourself, Susan. Be who you are. Stay special!

You are shining and this is your very moment, don't allow that hollow people that only can see the surface changes anything you are. As many said, change what you want to change but, not what they tell you to change. You are unique, beautifull and an example for every one of us 'cause you're so real... don't become a plastic artist and don't stay with the rest... stay with us: down to earth =)

Dear Ms. Boyle, if you must upgrade yourself, please don't over do it. Just make sure you stay true to yourself. I don't mind if you would thin your eye brows a bit & check on magnifying mirror before heading out for hair on your upper lips & chin. Other than that, I adore you JUST AS YOU ARE! Don't let anyone sucks you into getting nip & tuck. I like the REAL you. Hurry up with the recording thing. Can't wait to buy your CDs. Much love & God bless.

Susan,

The fact that you have been made to feel that you should focus on your looks is a "validation" to me that the media (Including this web site administrator) have not done enough to make all the comments posted around the world accessible to you.

Suggestion form a loving fan. If you feel the need to be look nice and smart, then show your fans your ability to connect with them through the use of the internet and take control of your NAME which is being exploited by many with out consideration to you (royalties and dues should be given to you by the use of your name if money is being generated).

Well I worry little of such things because so long as you have angels around you no wrong can be "truly" done to you as you attempt to navigate this new TREACHEROUS yet rewarding road in your life.

I liked you the way you were before your new look! hope you choose to go back to such, forget all the silly comments which put doubt in your mind as you look at your self in the mirror. "remember I once made a comment "to not forget to keep dreaming" that is your true beauty"

Best of luck! A Fan

Susan, we are not only cheering you on, but also praying for God's protection for you, for His presence to be with you as you go forward. He is most important, and He will guide you. Listen for that still small voice and spend time with Him each day.

We know you are without computer right now, but don't feel badly about that. I didn't have one until just a couple years ago.

And as for that hair blowing in the wind, mine does the same thing. Isn't that what wind is supposed to do?

Stay focused on your dream. My goodness, you have us all evaluating ours.

Someday soon, we hope you will be able to get on a webcam and spend a little time with us. But if not, we will see you on stage.

God bless you! Love from the heartland.

The New York Post (4/22/09) has a lot of new photos of Susan here: http://www.nypost.com/photos/galleries/tv/pp_20090422_boyle_makeover/photo01.htm

The Post also has a fantastic article (4/22/09) by their Broadway critic, who interviewed Alain Boublil, the actual lyricist for "I Dreamed A Dream" here: http://www.nypost.com/seven/04222009/entertainment/theater/man_behind_dream_words_165542.htm

Mr. Boublil compares Susan to the legendary Edith Piaf and continues: "You expect nothing," says Boublil, "and then she opens her mouth and you get three or four of the most exciting moments I have ever seen on television. Act I: She arrives and everyone is laughing at her. Act II: She bowls them over. Act III: Everyone is out of their seats. You cannot plan any of that. My wife was crying when she saw it. Even the most cynical people I know have been moved."

The rest of the article is great, too.

I think it's refreshing for someone to showcase such talent and still be theirself. I don't think a new wardrobe or hairstyle will change Susan Boyle. Her smile is beautiful, anything else is an accessory. I hope she stays faithful to her family, church, and community and doesn't let her erupting fame taint any part of her soul.

Boy, everyone has an opinion of what you should do with yourself, don't they? Seems that the overwhelming majority are saying the same things: 1)you are a doll, and 2)you should only make whatever changes make YOU happy! It's apparent that you have the poise and grace to take all this brouhaha in stride; you really don't need OUR advice. But, the fact that all these people feel so free to offer advice can be attributed to one thing: so many people identify with you -- it's like you're our sister, cousin, best friend. That speaks volumes about YOU. I've never joined a "fan club" in my life and yet here I am! Can't wait to hear more from you. Thank you for sharing yourself with us.

Dear Susan; Yes, you are every woman's "Everywoman" (except that your singing and very lovable personality are like no other). But, even fashion models apply a little makeup and have a "do" (hairstyle). Treat yourself to a makeover. If you (and them) don't like it, well, makeup washes away and hair grows back. My wife and I love you. I would like to hope for you a successful career, but, more importantly, a happy life wherever your fame may take you.

Susan, you have such an incredible beauty that comes across no matter what you look like. People not only love you for your God-given gifted talent, but because of your kind, sweet and very real self that comes across in everything you do. Nothing you look like on the outside can ever match that! You have true inner beauty and that is far more powerful. You are simply stunning. May God bless you in all that you do and I hope you have every happiness!

I love the way Susan talks about a possible make-over as "sorting out" how she dresses and getting more exercise. I have also read that she has accepted a date with Piers Morgan. She is drawn to his "baby face", and kind smile. Piers Morgan, on the other hand, is a cynical media reporter who has "been around". He is not the sort of person to whom an innocent woman should give her first kiss. Like Susan, Piers Morgan is Catholic. But as we have seen, there are people who call themselves Catholic, and there are those who seek to learn their faith and live better lives as Catholics. Susan has spent her entire life living her faith with sincerity, she may not even know the other kind exists. Piers Morgan is the father of three sons who need him, and he needs his first wife, no matter what he is telling himself. I hope that he will spend his time seeking to heal his marriage. http://www.thealexanderhouse.org/ It is always a good thing to put "First Things First".

I really hope you, Susan, have your lawyor present before signing anything. As far as changing yourself--don't--you are simply adorable and look great the way you are. Too many "stars" lose part of themselves when they worry about their appearance too much. You have an advantage over the young people, I think. You took care of your mother and have those precious memories, whereas if you had been young and became famous, you might have paid someone else to take care of her. That happens so many times and I think those people lose something very valuable. You can make good money now recording and performing even if you don't win "Britain's Got Talent." So be happy, sing, enjoy your stardome. You are a great example and inspiration. I am so glad I read the news article on you and listened to the tape.

My name is Kathleen and i live in Southern California, USA. I live alone with MyLittleGirls. They are my Yorkies, Breese (3.2 lbs) and Punkenpie, they are my therapy and I don't know what I would do without them. I have Cancer that I've been dealing with for a number of years and we thought I had it bet until last October 2009. It came back in the lymphatic system and all we can do now is treat with Chemo every 6 months to make sure it doesn't spread. I'm a real fighter and I don't believe in pity parties, so only a few close friends know about the condition. I live my life one day at a time and try to enjoy the day that I have. It's the little things in life that mean so much. Have you ever just sat on your porch and watch the trees change, or watch a flower bud and watch it flower, or listen to birds sing. Take the time to listen, it just might be an, "Voice of an Angel". This is what Susan means too me. I have 3 children and they are all on their own. I'm so very proud of what they all have accomplished. My oldest ( John ) was my special gift from God. He was born with minimal brain dysfunction and he was my blessing. A little work but still my blessing. (Smile) When Susan walked on the stage, I knew she was very special, she has is very humble and real, and down to earth, my son also has these same qualities. I Dreamed a Dream has what my life has been about and when I heard Susan singing, it was in fact " The Voice of an Angel". Susan has had a very hard time but God gave her a very special gift, her beautiful voice. In John's case, he was visual gifted. Even though they maybe a little different, it makes them special in the eyes of God and so many other people. I now have 2 in a Million to worry about. John and Susan. You would have to experience this for yourself to really understand what I'm saying and how I'm feeling. Please don't try and change her, God created her the way she is and if God wanted her to have a make over, he would have given her one. ( Smile ) I wouldn't change one hair on my son's head. The only real problem and they both seem to have in common is: their innocents, very gullible and people seem to take advantage of their kind hearts. Hopefully, someone close in her family with protector her and make sure she is not taken advantage of because she is so very Special.

God Bless You Susan and may God watch over you.

I wish I knew how I could send you a card or a gift because I appreciate you.

Susan, it's me again. I forgot to add, that I live in Richmond, Ca, and we here are absolutely captivated by you. You are beautiful just as you are.If you get made over, do it for you, not us. But if you get to record, could you sing some of the songs in the Great American song book. If would be nice to hear you sing these songs. I cannot remember a single song out there today. you have them once, and you don;t want to heat them againg. If you sing the songs, we will listen, and I will have something nice to buy and listen to. You go girl!

Susan, Thank you for such a heartwarming and beautiful performance. Every time I watch you, it brings tears to my eyes. Truly, a beautiful, beautiful performance. Reach for the stars ~ I've a feeling you'll get there! You emanate beauty from within and NEVER let anyone change you (not even Simon!). Classic looks are always 'in style,' so please don't succumb to fads!
Posted by welshlisa70 on April 23, 2009
beauty is skin deep. Why does she feel the need to change her appearance.Ok so she aint some glamour model in some peoples eyes. But its not the looks here, they are not an issue. The issue is why has she not becaoome a star before now.
Posted by Debp on April 23, 2009
Susan, we love you just as you are but it's ok for you to want to look "nice and smart".....just don't change too much! You are a dear, just as you are.
Posted by liamhard on April 23, 2009
susan, you dont want to be like Elaine Paige. You are 50 times better than she ever was, and I was a fan of hers. Go get them "Tiger". You are a pure joy to listen to. I cant stop tuning in to UTube to hear you. !

Like everyone else, Susan has carved out a special niche in my soul. Her courage, her fortitude, her unshakable belief in her voice, her delightful impish sense of humour, all these things that make up Susan are simply delightful. But more than that, Susan is real, not some plastic enhanced, nipped here, tucked there self centred glamour puss. Susan is exactly what this world needs, she is REAL! Obviously God has no issue with how Susan looks, so why does the world think they even have the right to comment on his design? Stop looking at the outside of the package and hear the message she has been sent to spread among us. Susan spreads joy, hope, and love. Feel it, then share it just like she does.

Dear Susan, God has done a work in you that has touched more lives than anyone but God could. Now the really hard part starts but you are ready. Ready to take this challenge to its natural conclusion and beyond. When you win this man made event I pray that you will know what to do with the gift you've been given which is not man made, but Holy and eternal. So many people have seen God through your efforts wether they know it or not. I know I have. Thank you hundreds of millions of times!!!

Dear Susan, God has done work through you, your beautiful just the way you are, I understand wanting to exercise for health reasons, but please do not change in any other way! I love you for you! Your character is a great part of you that makes you unique. Thank you for all you are doing, for all of the children you are helping by showing them that you should not judge a book by its cover and that it is whats inside that counts!

I agree with what ppl are expressing here. Find your own likes and dislikes when it comes to your appearance, change the way you want to rather then how others ( the industry) would have you look. I know I will buy your cd's for the voice and talent shared and not for the image portrayed. Blessings and light, liat M

Susan, your voice is amazing, bring tears to my daughter and myself. Just waiting for more songs from you and a CD, too. You are a package of joy, not just the voice, but everything about you impressed us as beautiful and in no need of change unless it is what you want for yourself. From sunny No. California, USA

susan just cracks me up! i love her realness (if that's a word)... and her obvious ability handle what is thrown at her. i mean really, her life has irrevocably been altered -- would (or could) we roll with the punches with such class and style? not me lol... i'd be a basketcase with all the cameras snappin' shots from behind the bushes :)

THE newly shaped eyebrows do not look good. They are over plucked and thin. It is a shame she shaped them. Before they followed her eyes and now there is too much skin there, due to over plucking. Who did this dramatic change to her? So sad. She looked like a darling cherub before, now she looks like she is going mainstream. STOP the makeover.

Hi Susan, From one Scottish Lass to another. You are amazing! You brought me to tears. Stay tue to yourself. Don't let the media world change you. It is who you are that makes you so great! Thank you, Susan, for showing all of us anything is possible if you try and believe in yourself. I am truly inspired. Hurrah for Scotland! "A Scottish Lass - Susan Boyle - humbles and amazes the world!"

Susan, The world fell in love with you - the frumpy wonderful you...So, do what you want, but don't lose yourselF amidst wardrobe and make up...By the way, all of the folks to whom I sent news of your voice the first time I heard it (The Today Show - way back when, it seems) are all rooting for you. One friend's wife is demading that they go to your first concert whenever and wherever and the cost be damned... I told Tim tha the had to take me along. My sister is furious with me because she has to now get her "Susan Boyle" fix everynight and ends up spending an hour or more just listening to what little bit we have available...Susan, get into the studio NOW!!!! Pretty please....And Power to the frumpy - that's what I say. We love you lady. God bless. And purrs to Pebbles.

What's the go with the catty comments about Susan wearing a leather jacket, and those heels...my god!!!a whole inch and a bit??? Why does the press have to waste our time talking about total crap!!!! instead why don't they try complimenting Susan on having the gutts to follow her hearts desire...are they that hard up for a story that they really think the world is going to stop and go uuuuuuummmmmm did you see that jacket she's wearing??OH!!MY GOD!!! really!!!.... No you fools...but we are going to stop and go OH MY GOD that voice...
Posted by Missyusa on April 24, 2009
I don't care what Susan is wearing, she has an awesome voice. I saw someone on here said that the public only went wild about her b/c they were not expecting to hear that voice come out of her !! How sad and pathetic that person must be !! Here is a woman with an amazing gift from GOD and this shallow person says something like that !! I would rather hang out with someone with Susans heart and soul any day of the week. Susan you are amazing, talented and I am sooo happy that the world can finally hear that angelic voice of yours !! You Go Girl !!!

Posted by oneokie1 on April 24, 2009 Susan you have a beautiful voice and I cred when I listened to you on youtube. You are sensational. Please stay the person you are and don't let others try to change you. The way you were received by millions only proves they love you because of who you are and your beautiful voice.
Posted by Jwitt on April 24, 2009
Nice? You look smashing. Remember that lots of people are waiting to make you a star the minute we can buy your CD.
Posted by YooperSue on April 24, 2009
How about recording Patsy Cline's "Crazy." I can just hear Susan singing it. (Along with her two previously recorded.) Somebody already predicted that her first CD will sell millions. I know I'll be one of the first in line to buy it! She's a real inspiration. P.S. The new hair color and tasteful eyebrow trim are great - not too much making over, but just right. Now we can all concentrate on her singing.
Posted by Paty on April 24, 2009
You look nice. but please DON'T overdo the makeove but being yourself. becuase the inside of you/your voice make you shine on the stage.. That is the purpose of this show - talent!! We look forward to see you on 5/23. If you can have a duet with Elaine Page that will be huge! Good luck!
Posted by bryan4211 on April 24, 2009

Susan, you make me smile, cry and laugh when I watched your video. I have watched it 5 times already, one after the other after the other. You are an amazing woman. The best thing about you, other than your voice, is your wholesomeness and your being genuine. Keep true to yourself and your values - it may be difficult as you are obviously going to rise to the top in your singing career. God bless you. I know you will do good with the fame and money to come because you have a good heart.

I just want to say that The song "Danny Boy" is the song I want to hear you sing. Somehow I feel you could sing that like it's never been sung before. I will keep posting this idea that my friend Willy gave me in the hopes that the message reaches you. I love you Susan, makeover or no makeover it won't change the warm feeling you bring to us when you sing or talk or just joke around.
Posted by MistyRain on April 24, 2009
Susan, you have such a wonderful voice. All the radio stations here in Washington state have been raving about you so I watched video and you have the most amazing voice. I love the new hairdo and outfit. Do what makes you feel good about yourself and not try to be what the media wants you to be. You are beautiful just the way you are. I'm rooting for you to win and can't wait until you have a cd out that I can buy. God Bless you and thank you for sharing that voice of yours with the world.

Susan, you look lovely with your new "do" and other tweaks to your appearance. I think it's fine that you wanted to do a little "tune-up" to your looks, whatever makes YOU happy! Most of all.....I think you're precious and charming and it would be delightful to know you. Great Talent, too! Best Wishes from Texas, USA

I'm a fan because of her talent and her personality and she should wear what clothes she chooses and wear her hair any way she wants to wear it. She's in the public eye now and maybe she can afford to primp a bit. She doesn't "have" to have a makeover, but she certainly can if she wants to. I'll take her any way I can get her!
Posted by sig saur on April 24, 2009
You go Susan, I love your make over, do what ever makes you feel good about yourself. With a voice like an angel you deserve the best. Don't let the media discourage you, you got talent and don't forget it........

Susan, you are entitled to dye your hair, (hell I'll be dying mine soon and I'm 37), and you're also entitled to buy new close and choose a new look for yourself. We do that everyday. That will not change the wonderful woman you are and that your singing is second to none!!! You go girl. Be the best YOU can be to YOUR standards, and the HECK with everyone else. People should really learn to mind their own business!! All the best!!!

Susan I wish you well! Remember that beauty lies within. Just an advice of encouragement;Your rosy cheeks shows happiness and truth, your chubby hands shows hard work without complaints, Your double chin shows that you will receive double and more of what you "dream," Your thick eyebrows shows much strength and courage,(remember long haired Samson in the Bible?)and finally, your small eyes see love spreaded throughout the whole world.Stay as you are!
Posted by labadabadee on April 25, 2009
Susan, just listen to yourself. That's what brought you where you find yourself today. Incredible story. No backing, nobody to promote you. All by yourself did you make it to the top. You proved that with a talent that is possible. Because most people are perfectly able to recognize true beaty when they see it. They just spot it in a split second without any need to be told by others.

All I can say is, a woman who can note that the camera adds pounds, that the dress was not the best choice and that she looked "like a garage", and reflect that if she has the ability to make people cry, that she hopes is isn't because of THAT!! is A-OK in my book. She's got a wonderful outlook and a wonderful way with words. Somehow I think that in the battle of The Media v. Susan, Susan is going to come out on top.
