OFFICIAL: Susan Boyle NOT leaving BGT
Posted by SBFII Admin on May 28, 2009

Good news everyone, Susan Boyle has officially confirmed that she will NOT be leaving Britain's Got Talent.

Susan will remain in the show, continue with rehearsals, and perform on Saturday's big Grand Final, said a show spokesperson.

Newspaper reports of an emotional outburst from Susan, as well as supposed threats to leave, "have been taken out of context, and are not serious or true".

The spokesperson added, "Susan Boyle is still very much part of the Britain's Got Talent. She is looking forward to the Grand Final and she is rehearsing hard to prepare for the biggest night of her life".

"She, like all of our contestants, is being closely looked after by programme makers. Susan's personal welfare is very important to us, and we will continue to do everything we can to make sure she remains happy and well".

Susan confirmed, "I want nothing more than to stay and sing in the Britain's Got Talent final".

"I've spent weeks rehearsing - it's all I've been thinking about. I'm not going to throw away my big chance now".

Good for you, Susan. You've already MADE it big, and proof of that lies in the ridiculous lies and exaggerations being made up about you. That is what the media DOES to very famous people! And we who LOVE you pay no attention to it anyhow. I wish you a great performance on Saturday at the Finals! If only you knew how many millions of people all over the world are solidly behind you...!

Good for you Susan, I knew you would never quit. Don't let the low lives ruin your big chance. Stay away from negative media, they are out to get every mistake you make. We here in the USA are rooting for you and we know you will win. You are even beating our own American Idol in the polls. Stay true to yourself, your family, friends, and your fans. But mostly to God. There are millions waiting for your first CD to come out. God Bless Susan!

I am VERY glad to hear that Susan is sticking with it through Saturday. I hope she gets some rest, some perspective, and then goes out & knocks 'em dead. They deserve it, but not as much as she does. As they say, don't get mad, get even.

As I may have mentioned before on this site, I'm not usually one to watch reality-type TV, or much TV at all, for that matter. After this little episode is over, I plan to swear off these kinds of shows for good.

Below is a link to a Daily Mail Online article discussing the exploitative nature of reality shows and BGT in particular. I find myself increasingly sickened by what is happening to Susan.

Yes, yes , yes , Susan , rock the world , again , girl GO GO GO ... Do that hipswing , show them why i adore you ...
Posted by WAMcKinley on May 28, 2009
First of all, I have to say,"What would we expect the BGT publicity staff to say??" This is just par for the course from them. Beyond that, I hope all is well with our Star---and that she has been able to relax and get some well-deserved rest. She's in a total pressure cooker, there,----more stress than anyone should ever have to bear. If I could see her right now,---after I gave her a long, warm hug, I would try to assure her that she's got a whole world of fans caring about her, rooting for her, and loving her, no matter what the outcome on Saturday. All she needs to do is just relax and be herself. The rest will come naturally, just as it did the night of the auditions when, with dignity and courage, she stepped out onto that stage and revealed to the world the magnificent person that is Susan Boyle.

I saw on a news program that Demi Moore and her hubby have been invited to BGT Finals. Matter of fact, there are a lot of celebrities expected to attend and see Susan win. Idnit great?!!! :D

Go out there and show them what you are made of. I knew you weren't a quitter. Show those reporters who has the last laugh when they have to put your picture on their rags as the winner of BGT. You've got what it takes girl. Go Get Um, Susan.

Whooa...I can't believe I've become totally stressed out over this competition. No matter how it turns out, I'm gonna have one stiff drink when it's over....and I don't drink! Can't help it ...I'm just a real softie when it comes to our Susan and don't want her to be hurt in any way. SOCK IT TO UM, LOVE.

Papparazzi will do anything to goad someone into saying and doing things they wouldn't normally do. They killed a princess and now they're after you, Susan. Stay away from them, dear lady. They are poison. (And I'm glad you can stick up for yourself!) Please don't let them spoil your dream. Sending you hugs from the U.S.

I'm no big fan of Robert Gibbs, but he did amuse me with this (in a political context):

“Let’s just say if I wanted to look up — if I wanted to read a writeup today of how Manchester United fared last night in the Champion’s League cup, I might open up a British newspaper. If I was looking for something that bordered on truthful news, I’m not entirely sure it’d be in the first pack of clips I’d pick up.”

Susan needs our love and support now, more than ever. Any of you humans fixin to cut and run now, because the road got a little rough? Good, then get the frito outta here. SuBo doesn’t need a bunch of yellow-bellied, sap-suckin, lily-livered, spineless, hanger-on homo sapiens as fans. If she flipped off a tabloid scumbag (scientific name: Tabloidius repugnus vulgaris) I’m sure it was after humiliating provocation, like when that stray tried to “mark my personal litterbox. SuBo, calm down, and don’t let that Morgan human toy carelessly with your heart. As you grow more experienced in that carnival-like human arena, much wisdom will come, and you’ll respond to personal assaults differently (maybe a spray bottle of water, or a supersoaker. I get hosed by my owner whenever I’m naughty). WE WON’T ABANDON YOU. Sending you unlimited Licks & Lovebites.

Don't let the trappings of fame weigh you down. Don't let the nay-sayers push your buttons. Remember that you are who you always have been -an incredibly gifted, talented women who has much to share and give to us all. When you get up there to sing, do what you have in the past. Immerse yourself in the glory of your music. Sing to all of us who do not have your talent of courage. We love you. God bless! Joan, an "everyday" woman from. . . Observations from someone perhaps a bit more objective than all of us (my husband) - he just remarked that, in his opinion, Susan's performance of Memory was every bit as good as I Dreamed A Dream; and that if she doesn't win, something's clearly wrong. Interesting only b/c he's not all caught up in this the way we are, in fact could care less about it. Hopefully, lots of casual observers see it that way!

Does ANYONE have a hint as to what song we will be blessed with on Saturday by Lady Susan???? Her I dreamed a dream would be OK, but selfishly I'd like a different one, so I'll have three to keep playing over and over and over again until her first CD comes out.

When I first heard of Susan Boyal I thought to myself who is that. Then I heard her sing her first song and I have to say I was totally blown away. I heard her sing again today and I have to say with the exception of that one tiny mistake she was totally awesome. Like many American's I hope she takes the world by it horns and succeeds in the music industry.

OMG, Will everyone chill out or get a prescription of Xanax! Leave her alone. I do not care if she does quit the show (I do not want her to). As for me if she would keep recording would be my pleasure. Somehow her voice and personality has taken me away from the ATM world into a world that is real and peaceful.

Although one could argue that she chose to be one the show....she is NOT a quitter. Even if she did, so what? Maybe Susan has served her purpose for others to come behind her with her skill of poise and realism.

Susan, please do not quit and if you do your legacy will remain in my heart forever.

I was unfortunately doubtful until I found you, by way of a friend.

Hi guys

I posted this earlier on the 'chat away' blog and wanted to share it again. 'A Man's a Man for A' that. copyright Rabbie Burns. Have a read.....

Hello everyone.

Hope you all take the time to read this, especially all my mad fellow Susan lovers in the good ol' USA.

Susan has just been the 'final' story on the national News At Ten (its now 10.30pm GMT), here in the UK. As i am sure you all know by now, there has been a little bit of 'sniping' of our SuBo here in the UK, due to her alleged four letter word outburst, and Piers Morgan has been interviewed asking for everyone to stop criticising her as she is on the verge of quitting the show. Here is my own personal thoughts.

I believe, with her own admitted learning difficulties, that hers is a natural reaction (if it is in fact true), and that if she has reacted, it is not a reflection of the person inside. I still, truly, believe that she has a not a bad bone in her body, and am feeling so much for her just now. Because of the hype, she has been built up (and rightly so, as she has the most beautiful voice i have ever heard), and must be feeling all of this so, so much, right now. I am a SCOT, like our very own Susan, and feel immensely proud of what she has done, and am so worried that she may crack up with this pressure. I now want Saturday out of the way (win or lose) so she can move on and record her voice for us all to hear.

Can i finally say, as a Scottish gay man who absolutely loves the USA (been to New York, Florida, San francisco and Las Vegas - and who will happily accepy any offers of a holiday in the states lol), that i want to thank each and every single American who has shown there heartfelt sincerity for the power and joy that has come from hearing Susan Boyle sing, and to say, that, although there are many genuine people in the UK who, too, love Susan, we have too many people in our country who are so quick to build someone up, but then break them down, and all for probably making a few headlines, and selling a few newspapers.

Thank you for the USA, and it is good to know, that if Susan is rejected from this country, then all she has to do is moved to the US and she will know just how much she is loved and how much joy she has brought, in to so many peoples lives.

Please feel free to correspond with me.

All my love, Max

Susan, I wish you the best. May all your dreams come true. I want the fairy tale ending for you. You are in my thoughts and prayers. March out there Saturday and sing your best. The whole world is rooting for you.

A Man's A Man for A' That.

Is there for honest poverty That hings his head, an a' that? The coward slave, we pass him by - We dare be poor for a' that! For a' that, an a' that, Our toils obscure, an a' that, The rank is but the guinea's stamp, The man's the gowd for a' that.

What though on hamely fare we dine, Wear hoddin grey, an a' that? Gie fools their silks, and knaves their wine - A man's a man for a' that. For a' that, an a' that. Their tinsel show, an a' that, The honest man, tho e'er sae poor, Is king o men for a' that.

Ye see you birkie ca'd 'a lord,' What struts, an stares, an a' that? Tho hundreds worship at his word, He's but a cuif for a' that. For a' that, an a' that, His ribband, star, an a' that, The man o independent mind, He looks an laughs at a' that.

A prince can mak a belted knight, A marquis, duke, an a' that! But an honest man's aboon his might - Guid faith, he mauna fa' that! For a' that, an a' that, Their dignities, an a' that, The pith o sense an pride o worth. Are higher rank than a' that.

Then let us pray that come it may [As come it will for a' that], That Sense and Worth o'er a' the earth, Shall bear the gree an a' that. For a' that, an a' that, It's comin yet for a' that, That man to man, the world, o'er Shall brithers be for a' that

Sorry, i thought i would paste this one also

I think the first two verses in particular say a lot

Max xx

O, my luve is like a red, red rose, That's newly sprung in June. O, my luve is like a melodie, That's sweetly play'd in tune.

As fair art thou, my bonie lass, So deep in luve am I, And I will luve thee still, my dear, Till a' the seas gang dry.

Till a' the seas gang dry, my dear, And the rocks melt wi the sun! And I will luve thee still, my dear, While the sands o life shall run.

And fare thee weel, my only luve! And fare thee weel, a while! And I will come again, my luve, Tho it were ten thousand mile!

I HOPE EACH AND EVERYONE OF YOU WILL DO YOUR BEST TO BOYCOTT THESE "RAG MAGS", WHO ARE DOING THEIR BEST TO DESTROY PEOPLES LIVES!!!, THEY ARE RESPONSIBLE FOR PRINCESS DIANA'S DEATH & OF TRYING TO DESTROY ANYONE IN THEIR PATH IF IT MEANS MAKING A BUCK. NOW THEY ARE DOING THEIR BEST TO DESTROY SUSAN'S CHANCES OF WINNING, BY UPSETTING HER. I HOPE THAT YOU BRITAINS WILL STILL VOTE FOR HER, EVEN IF SHE MESSES UP. WE ALL KNOW SHE HAS TALENT, & THINGS ARE MUCH HARDER FOR HER THEN THE OTHER CONTESTENTS PRESSURE-WISE, DUE TO AMAZING SINGING ABILITY.

Here are some wonderful quotes by Eleanor Roosevelt :

No one can make you feel inferior without your consent.

A woman is like a tea bag- you never know how strong she is until she gets in hot water.

Do what you feel in your heart to be right - for you'll be criticized anyway. You'll be damned if you do, and damned if you don't.

You gain strength, courage and confidence by every experience in which you really stop to look fear in the face. You are able to say to yourself, 'I have lived through this horror. I can take the next thing that comes along.' You must do the thing you think you cannot do.

Susan,

I hope they will allow you to hold the mic in the final. I think it was harder for you to begin "Memory" because you were just floating there on stage. Holding the mic helps ground you and you are a natural with the mic in your hand.

Once you got past that first line of "Memory" you were great, in fact, FANTASTIC. The perfect "F" word for you.

Hi Susan

I would like to say that I am extremely happy about you remaining with the show. When I first heard you sing I cried, it was so beautiful and moving. Please don't let these other shallow people upset you. God gave you the most important gifts of all. He gave you a heart to care and he gave you this beautiful voice so that all the world can hear you sing. It doesn't matter what is on the outside it's what is on the inside that really counts. Remember Susan, beauty is only skin deep. You go and sing your heart out for all the world to hear and I hope you win the contest. As soon as a record is released I will be first in line to get my copy. Good luck and God bless.

My dear Ssusan! I am sending you mega tons of True Love from True God. You are HIS messenger on this planet, to bring HIM down, to the hearts and minds of lost people who didn't even knew how far they are gone from HIS love and peace - until you sung your song to them.
 • Do your best to stay with your God, HE only is your help in time like this.
 • Dear Susan you are HIS love and Saturday it is the day you will BRING HIM DOWN!

He loves you and you are a WINNER. DO NOT READ PAPER, who cares what media said (we all know it is all for "might money") you know who you are and we are all here for YOU!.

Mega tons of love from True Love Eternal - our only God!

I love your voice, and hope that you win! Please, never stop singing!

Absolutely unbelievable! Did anybody with one bazillionth of a brain in entertainment media (most of whom don't have ANYTHING close to that of a paramecium and it ain't got any...) think that Susan who'd patiently - and I REALLY do mean patiently - waited all her life for this once in a Universe Creation opportunity to please ALL humanity with her God given voice was going to quit now?

Really?

Now she's gonna sing and I can't wait even with this damn slow dial-up connection I've got.

All love to you Susan, show'em "The Eye Of Tigeress," we'll just enjoy the show!

I am praying for Susan Boyle, my fellow Catholic. May Our Blessed Mother watch over her, keep her, and guide her. May she enjoy success without all the crud that so often accompanies celebrity nowadays.

Susan, relax in the Lord. May Jesus, Mary, and Joseph be with you all the way. We love you so much -- not only for your extraordianry voice but also for who you are. No matter what happens on Sunday, you are LOVED, and you are precious!!!
Posted by Patricia's Art on May 28, 2009
RedRiver ,why post this on her fan site, its not even true. The story started in a trashy tabloid and people like you are spreading this malicious smear ,trying to make Susan out to be a nutcase. Well she will prove you all wrong!
Posted by dianeski on May 28, 2009
"I hope they will allow you to hold the mic in the final. I think it was harder for you to begin "Memory" because you were just floating there on stage..."

I had exactly the same reaction. Why wouldn't they let her hold the mic????

When my kids were babies, my shy husband always used to hold one of them in his arms at social gatherings. He could overcome his shyness if he was holding a baby -- LOL! It's the same with the mic for Susan, I think. Let her hold the mic!!!
Posted by Merio on May 28, 2009
What if she did use bad words, who wouldn't in the same situation? She is not a saint and so the pressure grows. Some people would like nothing better than to provoke her just for headlines and most probably that is exactly what happened. Still pulling for you and praying Susan. Hard to do I know but laugh when you can and let the resr go for now. The important think for you is getting your song done the best you can and concentrate on how you love music and shut the world out on Saturday until after the show. It can be done. Best to you, Merio

Patriciasart: those are great mottos to live by!! The last one is particularly apt for Susan at this stage, I think. Well, thank goodness Susan has decided to go ahead with the competition on Saturday; only two more days and all her worries will be over, at least for now. Perhaps she has had some indication of the numbers of well-wishers in her fan club; it would be good to think that we have been able to somehow bolster her resolve. Susan, we all wish you luck and much, much love, no matter what the outcome.

This may be just a talent show but with all the publicity it's getting, guess what????? Susan Boyle is the HEADLINER of this show. 45 days ago nobody knew who this woman was. 45 days later, she's headlining for a world audiance. Millions upon millions are tuning in to watch her performance via television and the web. The Sun can write all it wants and visiting the newspaper online you can tell it's main rival would be the National Enquirer. The fact reamins.... Her voice and the story she brings with it is so pure and inspiring for everyone to enjoy in a time when the world is in such hardship. In under 48 hours now.... We'll be treated to another song. Rumor has it, starting in July, she's going to be recording an album with the Czech Republic Symphony Orchestra. Plus, she's going to be appearing in West Side Story I think I saw somewhere. So, even if she don't win, this isn't a up, down, and out scenario. She's already got herself lined up to deliver, after the show.
Posted by AmazinglyCritical on May 28, 2009
Redriver, didn't theimproper give you a clue and if not that, possibly the socially disfunctional at the end of the first paragraph? That was garbage, so I scrolled down to the end without reading after the first paragraph and what do I see??? Stay tuned... I guess everyone needs a day job and writing something like that takes "no talent".

Lady Susan, The final is going to be a piece of cake! Just be yourself and have fun. There is no doubt in my mind, You are going to win and win big. Then hurry and get that CD out so we can enjoy your lovely voice when ever we want to. Good luck lady.

Me alegro mucho por ella una mujer sencilla que hoy tiene su momento de fama y bien merecido que lo tiene, espero gane y grabe un cd y nos siga sorprendiendo a todos. felicitaciones y cariños para ti Susan Boyle.

I would really like to know why she was being heckled and abused by the two people who were trying to "set her off" in the first place. None of the tabloids are mentioning anything about that. It is a sad world where people seek out a vulnerable person just to be cruel to her, provoke her and upset her. I'd like about 2 minutes in a room with those clowns.

I think the Sun is just trying to get a rise out of Susan, and their stories, are really as the judges would say "Are Complete Rubbish". They should heed what Piers said in his blog LEAVE HER ALONE!!! I'm going to go to my happy place now, and look over some of the songs you my fellow Susan Fans have chosen, and think she'd do an excellent job singing.

I think Susan is totally justified in giving those people a piece of her mind. It sounds like a trick in order to get a juicy bit of gossip & sell tabloids. Don't give in to them Susan! You're better than that! I'm rooting for you & even if you don't win the final, I'll still be a fan. You're a wonderful, talented person who deserves this chance to shine- GO FOR IT!!!

I am sure if Susan goes out in public in the next few day she might steal the Darth Vader suit to slip the attention. She will be ready to make us happy Saturday I am sure.

Today I heard Holly Steele on ITV2 singing Edelweiss...she sounded quite good. I hope the judges are careful in what they say to her. In fact I do not like how often they bring up Susan Boyles' name up in the semi finals....like when they say.."you could be the one to beat Susan Boyle".
Posted by dmichael on May 28, 2009
Hi Everyone,

I too am so relieved at the news Susan is not going to quit. I am behind Piers one hundred percent the need to LEAVE Susan alone. On a more serious note, I have a personal friend here in the states who is a lawyer. I was informed that unlike the USA, Britain has no laws or restrictions regarding the media. They can do what they want, which is sell papers. The lawyer also informed me if Susan has ( all bgt contestants do ) a contract with Simon this should include protection for her ie; body guard, lawyers, and if needed and i do a counselor or Psychotherapist to help her process and cope with her overnight fame. I love her like all of you, and would hope on the next plane to Manage her for FREE. As i explained to my lawyer friend I do not want this to end up like a Princess Diana story. I am convienced if it were not for the constant harrassment my the media Diana would still be with us. I think the Sun is a piece of tabloid GARBAGE and should be sued and an injunction filed for them to retract their rubbish. GUys I am just venting but I love her and want her to NAIL IT!!!! saturday night. she has only two more days to prepare. Has anyone heard if shewill sing I Dreamed a Dream? I hope so becuase this would alleviate some of the pressure. I can't wait until Saturday is OVER!!!! Let her rest and get her into a studio away from everything and let her sing her heart out for her first cd!!!!!! We can sing up on www.amazon.com to be alerted of the release date.. Thank you PIERS!!! for coming to her rescue and taking her away from the TRASH media......

Dear Susan...Only a few more days until the final competition . You have a beautiful voice. Sing like the angels, and carry that wonderful spirit back on stage with you like you did in your first performance. You looked and sang beautifully in the semi-finals. I know you can do this. I am thinking of, and praying for you. I wish you much luck on Saturday. Don't let anybody "rain on your parade." You GO GIRL!
Posted by flowergal51 on May 28, 2009
Susan, You have proved to the world how awesome you are. If you want to be done I sure wouldn;t blame you. Too crazy!!! But I do hope you hang in there. I still have your first song in my mind. Makes me cry everytime I watch... Thank-you Susan Boyle :)
Posted by IvoryMist on May 28, 2009
Actually Piers should come to her rescue...he started this in the first place by playing with her emotions. In other words...he was not acting like a judge when he got personal with her on Larry King!

Thank God Susan is not pulling out. I hope this is the latest news, indeed. After I've written my long comment in Piers' post to defend Susan, I now refuse to Google, to avoid being upset again. Susan is truly international so I still think that BGT should have especially looked after her considering her world status. Susan is not just a celebrity of Great Britain but of the world. Look at all of us coming from the ends of the earth - US, South America, HK, Japan, South Africa. Lord knows where else. And I'm Aussie. By the way, assuming the worse that she did utter expletives, good grief, I've seen lots of prim-n-proper and holier-than-thou people curse when provoked or when at their wits end. If we are not flawed, then we cease to be mortals. To Susan - Sing Susan, sing! Sing to your heart's content and enjoy it! You've already won by conquering millions of hearts the moment you sang those first notes of "I Dreamed a Dream." We are behind you, hon. ~Tel

Patriciasart. Thanks for those humorous, compelling quotes. Re: the prepubescent humans Steele and the other kid? Cute, but now worth leaving my bowl at suppertime. Re: the microphone. Yes I agree, in the semifinal SuBo looked like she was in a straightjacket. But I figure the producers were trying to level the playing field a bit because she is so far above the others in talent. After all, they need to make it look like a competition, hence the comments by Morgan after the kid sang, that might have pushed Susan's button a bit Not to worry. I think for finals, all stops will be pulled for Susan to go supernova. I've been promised Fancy Feast pate to celebrate her win on Saturday. Love you SuBo. Nite all, tuckin in early tonight. Licks & Lovebites to all; it's 10:21 PM in Texas.

The BGT contest has already served its purpose by allowing the world to discover you. Here's hoping that you win, but knowing that you are already a winner! From Michigan USA - also hoping that you give a concert here!

May I as a Englishman please say to all the fans worldwide that I apologise for the disgusting press coverage of late in my country. This new British star (indeed the biggest in the world right now) is under huge pressure and a crazy media circus any reality star has ever had to face. All this barely weeks after coming to our attention. But I have to say I'm very unhappy at the people behind this tv show's complete lack of judgement in where they choose to put Ms Boyle during this week and the protection (or lack of it) they have given to her. Anyone with one brain cell could of foreseen the press intrusion etc from the huge public reaction to this exceptional lady and planned ahead. This show has made her a star but badly let her down in other ways.
Posted by rg on May 28, 2009
Susan, I am so glad to hear you're not quitting. I don't believe anything the media says because they only say what they think will benefit them. If people get negative with you, it may because they don't have a life or are jealous. You have a dream...follow it. Don't let anyone ruin it for you. By the way, if you started this so your mother could see you became something...she'd be so impressed. I wish you the best in life & don't let them get to you. Keep thinking about the reason you want to do this...& the diaphram thing you did in the semi-finals just shows how professional you are. Good save with that!

For all fans of Susan Boyle, please don't read anymore news articles at all (paper or online) about Susan Boyle until the finals are over. The reporters bully her to get fresh tabloid fodder so we would click on their websites and pass around their articles. I humbly propose a strike on everything until the finals are over. This is so they would leave her alone when they realize we are boycotting them. If we want news of Susan, the best would be to go on BGT website and get it there. I'm sure that will get some pressure off Ms. Susan Boyle. Please...

Things are finally calming down on the net. I just saw an article giving the ratings on Susan's you tube videos of her Memories performance. The # of views is growing at the same rate as her original I Dreamed A Dream performance (they figure about 16.8 million). The new memories video is growing at the same rate in the U.S. U.K. and the rest of the world. In other words, us Americans are not pulling him over the top.

Good Luck Susan! YOU HAVE ALREADY WON. You've moved myself and millions of others with your voice. Whatever happens in the BGT competition will not change how I and many others feel about you. This incredible miracle of connection you have made with the world will never dim in our hearts. It's sad that the press is so shallow and heartless. Most of the press seems motivated by sensationalism and not truth. I would hope that you will avoid them. Your voice is bigger than BGT or any other competition. Please keep singing... we will always be listening.

And, by the way the Bookie Ratings on Susan are still way over everyone else. If anything, they are looking better than 2 days ago, though I'm not an expert on reading those numbers.
Posted by tweek on May 28, 2009
The reason you find so many unfavorable comments on the You Tube Videos compared to this site is that there are a bunch of teens out there probably all over the world using it almost like a chat room. And, they think they are being real cute with their wise remarks. You can see they just try and out do each other. Each time I get on one of those videos of Susans, I get mad and spam everything, but I do not have time to clean them all up.

Good Luck on Saturday Night!! The media drive you crazy, if you let them. Do what you want, control what you can , and have fun doing it! I want one of your 1st CD's when they come out!

Susan Boyle Rocks!

Suggested by Tommy U.S.A....Let's all burn a candle for Susan on Saturday. Just think candles burning all over the world! Burn it til the performance is over. I hope ITV does not cut off our link. Be sure someone posts the link tomorrow for new combers to our site. The link allows us to watch BGT show live. You just have to know what the time difference is between where you are and the show. I am not sure what countries it works in but it works very well in the U.S.

Here is some recent information from Piers. Piers was on the news today saying Susan had her bags packed to leave. I am assuming that BGT must have done something rather quickly to remedy the situation as Susan is now staying for the finals. BGT better protect our Susan and get their act together
Posted by Debp on May 28, 2009
So glad to hear Susan does not plan to leave!! Praying for you, Susan, to succeed!! Can't wait to hear your next song, and I plan to buy your CD....and I haven't bought one for ages!
Posted by mdillow31 on May 28, 2009
Sorry, I forgot to mention that Piers told the media to back off of Susan today after that incident and her going to leave the show. If she had left BGT would really have been hurting. I am glad Piers did the right thing by Susan.

Susan, First, so saddened and sorrowed by what you've experienced this week by people who are VERY poor examples of humane beings---most likely insecure and jealous of you! People who live their lives doing things like this are nothing but bullies and LOOSERS,,,you are a WINNER! Don't let anyone who "gets your goat" or "gives you gruff" change what you're doing nor who you are as you're one of the best humane being the world as seen in years...faults, flaws and all the rest! Channel the anger and annoyance in to your singing so do strongest performance yet so "shows-off" your many good talents and traits. Above all, KEEP BEING "CHEEKY"(if that's right british slang for" frolicky") as you're hilarious! And inspiring to millions!!!

PS Sounds like those "buggers" needed verbal "slap" or two, if nothing else!!

Remember this: believe 20% you read 50% you hear and 80% you see

If she had actually swore in public in front of 100 people wouldn't have someone caught it on their low res cell phone camera? I mean there were people all around her. Someone would have caught it on tape. I do believe that the media completely pushed her into this and caused the scene. I have lite a prayer candle for her. Let her feel the light, give her strength for an outstanding performance.

Susan Boyle I am behind you 100%

SOME PEOPLE CAN BE VERY SICK!!! THEY ARE HAPPY WHEN THEY PUT OTHER GOOD PEOPLE DOWN! JUST BECAUSE THERE IS SOMEONE WHO ASPIRES AND HAS A VERY GOOD POTENTIAL, SOMEONE WHO TRIES TO SURVIVE, AND SOMEONE WHO IS LOVED BY EVERYBODY - LIKE ONE SUSAN BOYLE - THESE BAD, BAD PEOPLE ARE LIKE PREDATORS WHO LIVE ON DESTROYING OTHER PEOPLE WHO ARE HELPLESS. MAKING BAD STORIES AGIANST SUSAN BOYLE IS JUST ONE OF THE TACTICS THEY EMPLOY. BUT , THANK GOD, THERE ARE STILL MUCH MUCH MORE SANE PEOPLE IN THIS WORLD. WE WILL ALL SUPPORT SUSAN BOYLE!!!!!!!!!!!!

To Susan Boyle, I love your voice and want you to know I have never been moved more by a performance of which you gave on BGT. I dreamed a dream, you surely did. I watch it every day on youtube. I live in Michigan in the US and just remain yourself. You are a class act, forget the slugs who always try to demean someone's character. I will be waiting to purchase your CD, luck to you on the finals, but you have already won. May you know that your Mom is watching and with her halo, she is right beside you.My thought of you is that it is the "nobody'" in this world who are truelly blessed, and may you always remain your true self. God Bless You and I know I am already one of your biggest fans. Theresa Dean

She has such an amazingly true voice--I feel that all this attention has taken her away from what she finds as a joy--singing. She knows when she hits a note, she knows when she doesn't--she is a true musician--it must be horrid to have the tabloids, etc after a life of quietly being--my heart--and especially my ears-the ones that hear a true note are all for her-would love to see that spirit in a true Musical--can see her spirit in "Annie Get Your Gun"--her Mother was right-she has talent--also good in "South Pacific" "Les Miserables" and even "Evita"--I hope she has a wonderful time-and that noone--including the tabloids intrude on this woman--just let her talent shine--"Fiddler on the Roof"

I just read the BBC News says Susan has been worried this week because her brother's daughter (who just had the baby)fainted and fell down stairs, rushed to hospital, but is okay and back home now. Here is what it said:

By Lauren Crooks Britain’s Got Talent singer Susan Boyle is sick with worry after her favourite niece collapsed just weeks after giving birth to a baby boy. Jacquelene Houston, 31, had been suffering dizzy spells, heaping stress on her famous aunt in the run up to the grand final of the contest. Susan – who became an instant celebrity after her first appearance in the show and is competing for a chance to sing for the Queen on Saturday – has already snapped in public this week as pressure builds. And yesterday the tension mounted further as Jacquelene – daughter of Susan’s brother James – was rushed to hospital. Medics said she had collapsed, falling down the stairs in her Bathgate home. The news of the fall will add to Susan’s stress in the wake of Saturday’s live TV final – expected to be viewed by 100s of millions of people. Yesterday a close friend of Jacquelene said: “I was walking by and saw the ambulance outside their house. “Jacqui has been having dizzy spells and I saw them going into the back. “Stephen dumped his work van and jumped into their own car and sped off behind it. “They are waiting to hear everything is okay.” Jacqui only gave birth to the couple’s first child James last month. The pair named him James after his grandfather. In the run up to the tot’s birth Jacqui watched her aunt at the famous audition for Britain’s Got Talent. And little James now sleeps in the same Moses basket that Susan herself slept in as a baby. Last night Jacqui’s dad James revealed that Susan dotes on the family and even made sure of visiting her ill niece before leaving for London. He said: “I took her round to see Jacquelene, Stephen and James. She even had her picture taken. We’re a very close family.” And he said he hoped to calm Susan with news that Jacqui was safe home in bed having been treated at hospital and given tablets for a blood condition. He said: “Jacqui had a problem with her iron, but she seems to be fine.” Last night a Scottish Ambulance Spokesperson confirmed they had received an emergency call after a female had fallen down the stairs. A Scottish Ambulance Service spokesperson said: “We received a call to Mavis Bank in Bathgate at 12.15pm responding to a call that a woman had fallen down the stairs. She was taken by ambulance to St John’s Hospital in Livingston.” A spokesperson at admissions at St John’s Hospital said: “Mrs Houston was discharged from A&E at 4pm.” Last night Jacqui was at home “resting in bed” according to a relative at the house.

Susan, I know it must be hard but please don't listen to the bullies and bad media coverage. The bad is only a minority, you have so many barracking for you.We have so much admiration for you out here in Australia, yet we don't get to see the BGT episodes but our news did keep us informed of your progress in the show. Everyday we watch your two performances on youtube, they were GREAT!! Go Girl.

I hope you are right. I have just read this link which is indicating that Susan may be pulled from the show by the bosses. I don't know what to think anymore. I am so sad and its the newspaper journalists who are responsibile for this. They have hounded her and goaded her to say and do things, just to sell newspapers. Here is a link ... ... http://www.mirror.co.uk/celebs/news/2009/05/29/susan-boyle-could-be-pulled-from-britain-s-got-talent-grand-finale-over-fears-for-her-well-being-115875-21397026/

This is the same exact story the lovely 'Mirror' rag ran yesterday. Susan isn't leaving the show, or being pulled by those who govern BGT. The scandal sheets just like to sell papers. Can't believe they are still running this story. We read it all before!

Sorry Allikat, I hadn't seen this news before. I thought it was a new article this morning. I am so happy it was yesterday's news!!
Posted by Allikat on May 29, 2009
Well, it looks as though they DID run it again--only using today's date! They may have slightly altered a sentence or two--but I recall reading it almost 24 hours ago. Dirty trick, if you ask me; about what I'd expect, from the Mirror.

Who could blame Susan for lashing out at theses media terrorists? I used to think our "journalists" in the US were soul-dead profit mongering bastards, then I read about the media in Britian. Susan is exactly what the world needed at a very dark time for us all. She has the voice of an angel, and the heart to match. Frankly, I admire her for standing up for herself. Best wishes for a great success in your performance on Saturday. Know that you have the full support of over 100 million viewers on YouTube. We adore you.

Well what do we expect from that COMIC!! I have not read any of their lies, I would not soil my hands by picking up that RAG! All I can say to Susan is that whatever happens on Saturday's final, she has already WON in the world's eyes. Her fans will always be there for her surrounding her with the love and support she deserves! Those editors who print that complete rubbish are not fit to kiss Susan's feet!!

I trust her implicitly!!! When somebody is dead set as she is in accomplising a dream, there is no going back. Susan will do it, let's remain calm and she will deliver.

I just know it!!!

Have a good day!

I think this hurts us her fans more than her. I think she is tuning it all out. If you listen to her interviews ,she is very smart. I think we will all feel better after this weekend when the contest is over .

Just got very tearful when Susan Boyle's voice coach was on breakfast TV. When asked what type of person she is he read out a letter that Susan had written to him just after she met him. In it she said "Thank you for saying you liked me, you are the first person ever to say that you like me, how do I get others to like me too?" (something like that) Plus he said that we haven't heard the best of her as she has incredible range in her voice and it really is a gift. Goodness Susan, go for it we are all behind you, your dream will come true.

My Boyfriend, my friends and my self are all musicians and we come from all walks of life. Recently the media has been taking advantage of the human nature of some of your frustrations with the media and I wanted to post something that I hoped you would read to let you know that people like myself, that avaoid all mainstream media look up to poeple like you who dont change everything about themselves to fit the ideals of what people "should" be like. If you are pissed off and you are the type of person who needs to express that, thank you for speking out on behalf of all those who are like us and all those who wish they could really say what they feel. Please dont let the poshy life style of celebrity change what you represent to all of us, the rest of the world, the ordinary people who's hearts you have touched and who's dreams you have revived. I am only 26, but I hope that as I get older the hopes and dreams I have will continue to drive me as they have driven you. god bless you and thank you for sharing your talent with the world!! Mine name is Peter Fennema and living in the Netherlands and totally overwhelmed by the performance of Susan Boyle. I’ve watched her videos many many times and it will give me every time the chicken bumps all over mine body, amazing.

Secondly I’m also a big fan of the Olympic games and specially the opening ceremonies. I’ve watched the latest 4 opening ceremonies and in mine opinion the Beijing games where by the far most outstanding and amazingly well organized with all that fire works. Every one thought, no one can beat that anymore.

But along came – Susan Boyle.

What I’m already hoping is that she will be the star of the opening ceremony of the upcoming Olympic Games in London 2012. She certainly will do forget the Chinese fireworks and her supreme voice. No one is killing her dream now anymore and she wants to perform for a big audience.

Well, the Olympic Games 2012 it is. A dream that comes thru. I’m already trying to buy me a ticket for that show.

See you there Susan.

thank goodness Susan - this is a first for me but I couldn't let this go by without saying just how much you are admired by the ordinary person in the street. Take a deep breath, ignore the rubbish - it just isn't important - its fired by ignorance and the insane desire for sensationalism. Your singing makes me cry and touches every nerve in my body - please don't let them upset you, they are an insignificant minority and they are not worth it. Just be yourself because you are brilliant and the majority of ordinary people want to hear you because you transport them to somewhere utterly magical and to have that affect on so many people is an immeasurable strength - that is your strength and noone can take that away from you. We are willing you with all our hearts to succeed for you as a person first of all and for all of us next.

It's wonderful to know that Susan has calmed down. Someone wrote on this site that they just saw Fred O'neil being interviewed on Breakfast television. I just love this man. Could someone please post the interview to the site as apparently he had some very nice words to say about Susan. I think they should have him with her as he knows her voice better than anyone and he is a fantastic singer. He also seems a very calm person and I think would have a calming influence on Susan. I also agree with someone else who suggested that Susan is more comfortable holding the microphone and I think they should take that into account on Saturday. I just can't stop thinking about her and I wish here the warmest of wishes.

Isn't it funny that so many people with nothing to show for their lives but an opinion, are the loudest, most negative people in the world? You, Susan, have talent, so what do you care what that small, noisy percentage of the human race say. We love you, and remember that lovely voice unhindered by all this negativity.

Just up this Friday morning. Saw that video headline, but didn't watch. Saw this and so relieved. I dreamed last night that it was the morning after the finals and , and I was fearfully coming onsite since I hadn't watched. And Susan had won BIG, rolling over everyone. What a terrible feeling to wake and find it was a dream, and everything still to come. I hope it is true that she hasn't quit. She has worked for this and she deserves it. I hope she will get angry in a good way, as in "I'll show them". Anger can be a good motivation and steadying force if controlled and used. More later, fellow Susan people.

Experiments have shown that when a group of people unite to send out feelings of love, peace etc at a specific time, it can have a huge impact. So why not all send out thoughts and feelings of love and peace (to calm her nerves), prayers etc as soon as Susan's act is announced and throughout the performance? If we do this when we can during the next 2 days, with a big boost at the time she sings, as well as lighting candles, it will surely send out more positive vibes than all the crap in the papers.

GOOD MORNING, its 6am in Massachusetts. After my morning persual of all the SuBo news and these comments, a number of thoughts arise.

1. How much of all this frenzy is entertainment inspired to beat the news to a froth in anticipation for the FINAL on Saturday? Most likely, SuBo was harrassed by some journalists just to create a story.

2. How much of all this frenzy is SuBo even aware of, because the core of her thinking and being is centered on her performance on Saturday? Certainly,as the pictures show, she was involved in the report to the police about the incident.

3. BGT is in the business of dealing with amateurs breaking into the entertainment business. Have they had a bit of a hand in assisting the media frenzy? Their procedures have worked in the past, but BGT has NEVER had such a SUPERNOVA on their hands as SuBo and I wonder if they didn't get caught a bit short in their handling of SuBo and now they are trying to catch up by moving her to a safe location.

4. Was SuBo at the hotel with all the other contestants so that it would look as thou she was only another contestant? And now she has been moved because they BGT could not handle all her admirers as well as detractors?

5. I think today Paul Potts will be the special guest on the last Semi-Final. Is SuBo at the same location as Paul Potts??? Surely the two of them must spend some time together in lengthy discussions. Paul has traveled the road to stardom now for a year; SuBo has just begun her journey. Paul can certainly help SuBo understand and prepare for what lies ahead for her both the good as well as the bad.

6. As I think back over the SuBo story since the audition in April, I wonder how much of each of the daily SuBo news items were carefully crafted to produce the desired effect. Surely, no one at BGT could possibly have known how overwhelming the response to SuBo would be. But once it began, they milked it for all it was worth. And now SuBo has become even bigger and more loved than anyone in the whole wide world; certainly bigger than BGT and they are just coming to grips with her fame and world-wide adoration.

7. I hope the news got at least one thing correct, that Lady Susan is, in fact, no longer at the hotel, but at a much smaller accomendation where she can have a bit of quiet and calm in order to prepare to the very biggest nite of her life. As she has ROCKED THE WORLD 2 times already, she will ROCK THE WORLD
Posted by Sueandpebbles on May 29, 2009
Can I just say that no one I know reads those rubbish tabloids and believe nothing they print even if it brought to their attention. I am on several internet forums with members from all over Great Britain (thousands of people) and none of them in the discussions of BGT are paying any attention WHATSOEVER to the muck spreading. Yes certainly some of them are backing other contestants, particularly if they are from their neck of the woods, but that's only natural. However none of them are dissing Susan even if they don't relate to her in the way we do.

LucyB - Excellent points. Esp. #5. Paul Potts has gone on record advising Susan regarding the pressures, etc. Hopefully they've had some face-to-face discussions. Would love to see them cap off the show with a duet after Susan's victory.

Good Luck, Susan. I hope you will be singing I Dreamed a Dream again. Singing the same song performed in the auditon worked for Paul Potts. I'm sure your will be fantastic, however, no matter what you choose to do.

Lovin'Every Minute that's a good article. Pretty well sums up my feelings on it all. Paul would you consider posting it so everyone can see it?

I am so happy that Susan isn't giving up on BGT, she is a true STAR. Tabloid journalist like to taunt and bait until they get a reaction. They're not reporters of news, they create it then sensationalize it, to get a story. They are notorious for taking things out of context. With the Paparazzi always hanging around Susan, you would think they would have a video of her outbursts or something.

Good Morning from the east coast of the US. Had to get my Susan fix befor leaving for work (a four letter word btw!).

I love what Phillipa said about the "Global Village". It is time that that those of us who gather in love recognize our strenth.

And jssandelwood, I have heard that too. There is something called the "Princeton Eggs" experiment that is testing that. I firmly believe it can be done. Now after we get Susan through the competetion with a big smile on her lovely face, what do we tackle next? It maybe this group is an idea whose time has come. After we are entering the age of Aquarius.

As far as the media is concerned, I work at a facility that has suffered a lot of bad press that we didn't deserve. We had to learn to cope with it and the depression caused by it. At a certain scientist's funeral (who died after being harrassed unmercifully), the police prevented the media from getting to us, eventhough we were filmed. It can be devastating emotionally and makes you want to lash out with bitterness. We had each other and now Susan has us along with her wonderful family. She will be OK.

If I have learned one important lesson in life it is that my pocketbook is an important tool that can provide comfort or prevent profit. We don't have to buy their stuff or that of those who support them. But we are going to put Susan's first CD to Platinum before it is even released and she can cheer all the way to the bank.

So many wonderful comments on this post! I'd have to write an entire web site to comment on them all. ;-) What a great thing to come home to after being at work all night.

jsandelwood: I, too, think this is a great idea! "...when a group of people unite to send out feelings of love, peace etc at a specific time, it can have a huge impact. So why not all send out thoughts and feelings of love and peace (to calm her nerves), prayers etc as soon as Susan's act is announced and throughout the performance?" And as you said, start now and keep sending it out to her. We have a huge gathering of people from undoubtedly a wide range of faith and spiritual traditions: We can send Susan a beautiful, empowering SPIRITUAL BOUQUET of love, peace, strength, support, and so on!

And MELON, I see you also subscribe to "Notes from the Universe." Thank you for pointing out how well today's note fits Susan! ;-)

Another supportive blog from Piers Morgan today on the BGT website. Good man for speaking out and defending her. I agree with his assesment: This may well be the greatest performance she has ever given - remember, Susan is a fighter and she is not giving up.

It's also true that regardless of the Final outcome, Susan already in many ways is a winner. We are right here supporting you and praying for you, so GO SUSAN!

Thanks sueandpebbles and bohemian spirit. We all know that Susan will be fine as long as she can stay "in the zone". By sending our love over the next 2 days and in a huge burst at the big moment, I'm sure we'll help overcome all the pettiness etc. Yes, we can send it in whatever way we wish, according to faith, tradition etc. Love the idea of a spiritual boquet :)

Hi Susan, as a singer songwriter from Wales in the UK and after 30 years of experience in the music business I can honestly say that I have never been moved by a performance in the way you did duriong your first and then second performance. You have something very special and I wish you all the success in the world for Saturday. I'd love to write a special song for you and if you'd like to get in touch please visit my web site www.desowen.co.uk

This is Piers Morgan latest blog---ENJOY :):):)

‘This is like a soap opera,’ said Simon, shaking his head in disbelief before the show last night.

He’d just heard that all the papers were doing yet more front page stories on Susan Boyle, and admitted to me: ‘I have never known anything like this in my whole career. It’s crazy.’

To be involved in a show that is being watched, analysed, commented on, and lambasted by people all over the world is a strange, slightly unsettling experience.

And that’s just for we judges, who are all very used to the media game after more than 75 years experience between us in the business.

So God knows how poor Susan is feeling (and the rest of the final contestants for that matter, too).

The level of attention they’re getting is just unbelievable.

And these aren’t professionals, they are amateurs who nobody had ever heard of a few weeks ago.

But we’re nearly at the end now, with just one day to go until the Final.

And what a final it’s going to be!

Everyone has always assumed it’s going to be a one-horse race since Susan captured the public imagination with that stunning audition performance seven weeks ago.

But anything can happen on a live show, and it will be fascinating to see how they all react to the incredible pressure pouring on their heads.

I loved last night’s show. It was funny, warm, moving and hilarious.

Julian Smith is a stunning saxophone player, and has a real chance to cause a shock tomorrow night. He’s cool, good-looking, humble, and has a fantastic natural talent – a lethal cocktail.

And I was thrilled to see 2 Grand get there too. There was barely a dry eye in the studio when they sang. Such lovely, genuine people, and they sing so beautifully together.

As for all the furore surrounding Susan, my bet is that she will respond with the performance of her life at the Final. This is one tough lady who has had to fight since the day she born, and there is no way she’s going to quit now as some of the papers seem to be suggesting, trust me.

The sheer level of abuse she’s getting continues to shock and appall me. Only yesterday, Strictly Come Dancing judge Craig Revel Horwood said she ‘sings as bad as she looks.’ He called her ‘awful’, and said he ‘wanted to smash the TV’ after her semi-final.

What a disgusting thing to say.

Perhaps he’s just sore that his own dream of having any kind of career in America has never reached first base as they say in baseball.

Either way, pick on someone your own size Horwood - like me, if you’ve got the guts.

Susan’s going to be a major star whatever happens tomorrow. And I for one hope she absolutely nails it on the night, and shoves all these vile critics’ disgraceful attacks down their throats.

Will she win?

In many ways, Susan Boyle’s already won.

In the spirit of building a Spiritual Bouquet: Here's one video/song that may help inspire positive, healing thoughts towards Susan: Sikh musician Snatam Kaur sings an old Irish blessing, "Long Time Sun."

May the long time sun

Shine upon you,

All love surround you,

And the pure light within you

Guide your way on.

Hi Susan, All you need to do is walk out on that stage close your eyes and imagine you at home in your church. You know God is with you, just let us all hear that amazing gift God has given you. Cant wait to here what you will be singing. Climb Every Mountain maybe? Dont let them get to you Susan, you have proven to all those that laught and bullied you in previous times just who you really are. Those idot press are also nothing more than bullies and you can show them what you are made of just like you have in the past. There are a million more people out there who love you than there are who dont ! Just keep your faith.

Mornin all. It's Friday, 6:45 AM in Texas. This is what the keeper of kitty dreams brought me last night: I, Gus The Theatre Cat, was a stowaway on the concord to GBT. SuBo, regal and beautiful, microphone in hand, enters the stage and begins to sing Steven Sondheim's SOMEWHERE. By the time she has hit the last note, everyone has totally lost it, tears welling up, and applauding like thunder-- and I'm purring uncontrollably with my four feet in the air. SuBo, on Saturday night, you're going to rock the earth off its axis a few degree, but we're ready for the ride. Raise the roof lovely lassie. Pate for everyone! Have a splendid day all, licks & lovebites.

Susan is in a league all by herself now. If BGT is flying in Demi Moore etc thinking they are getting a ritzy edge, they should look at what they have in Susan, who at this point deigns to be on their tacky show. This show is tacky, tacky, tacky. So are the people who run it. Anyone who manipulates people's feelings in order to build suspense is a moneygrubber of the worst kind. It isn't Susan to blame for entering this show. She had no other outlet. I think what she has proved about society is huge. I have one big worry... That the people who are supposedly looking after her are full of mind games as well. We have here an exceptional human being simply because she has chosen to adjust to the simple life. She is a warrior fighting for the values of that simple life; something 99.9% of people have long ago given up as cowards in a materialistic world. It's really hard to be oneself. She has done it. I would vote for her courage and spunk and fighting words. If she goes up on stage and just stands there, she would be a winner. She would say to Piers and all his condecension "this is for you, you fake."

That's fine for Piers to defend Susan, but really is the least he or any of them could do. Yes, they could have foreseen this. And the failure of BGT and the judges to prevent Susan coming into contact with the gutter press and from being harassed by passersby or reporters or whoever those people were, and from ever seeing all this nastiness in the media is inexcusable. And as some of us have said, it was totally irresponsible for Piers to get flirty with Susan, knowing her inexperience and vulnerability could cause her to be misled, and the way he talked with the press about her kissing him, and all that kind of thing, helped make her a target.

I do believe that a vast number of people in UK are just waiting to vote for her regardless of how well she may or may not sing in the final because they know she is the best. I truly hope so. Should she not be at her best, I hold BGT responsible.Thems my sentiments.

I just went to this article on and left a message of support for Susan. Hopefully BGT will show them to her. I worry she is not being told of all her support. And not with the phrase, "the world is watching". That's not support, that's pressure.

Yes, DannyG, I think it was the least Piers could do also. I hope he has been honest with her instead of broadcasting to America about her affection for him and his 'romantic' date. He capitalized on Susan's emotions especially at such a crucial time for her. These judges have 75 years of entertainment business experience behind them and they should have known better to look out for her well-being. Let's hope she is getting her emotional and physical rest to perform. No matter what happens, she is and will continue to be the professional singer she wanted to be. jan in nj

Simon says: "But anything can happen on a live show, and it will be fascinating to see how they all react to the incredible pressure pouring on their heads." THIS IS such a sadistic attitude! Like throwing lobsters into boiling water. So the paparazzi is seen as Susan's cross to bear and how well she carries it? Well, I hope she knows what this is about then. It'll help her achieve the right mindset before going on stage. She should imagine these people sitting on the toilet. Susan has outgrown all this. She is doing them the favor now simply by showing up no matter how she sings. A vote for Susan is a vote against BGT and their sadistic ways. There's no need for any reality show to go this far, sorry...

Only the most depraved entities (I can't call them human) would deliberately attack and hurt this gentle, loving lady, who has been bullied and disrespected all her life to the point of seeing herself as worthless in the world's eyes. And still somehow had the courage to reach out one more time for the one dream she has yearned for. May she be granted her dream, whole and untarnished.

To the FABULOUS Miss Boyle: You were blessed with the voice of a SUPERDIVA, and dared to take on the talents of the nation. In doing so you faced your fears, threw down your gauntlet, and raised the global bar SKY-HIGH - how we admire you for it! Everyone here - and elsewhere - like, love, and RESPECT you. We're having a Susan Boyle Party tomorrow night and will be burning our fingers multiple-voting for your from the minute your number is announced to the line closing. But you have already given us the thrill of our lives with your 4 songs in the public domain, and we are totally aware you are the ALL-TIME winner of BGT - whatever happens to the voting tomorrow. Over and above BGT, please take the best care of yourself from here on. You alone have carried the 2009 BGT bandwagon long enough - the SUPERNOVA outshines and outlasts everyone judges included on it!

Totally agree with what "callingmissboyle" and "DannyMac" said above: Holden at least had the grace to admit she broke her USA duck because of Miss Boyle, and I can't fault Cowell on his public utterances on our Susan. But Morgan, having started being disrespectful with his gratuitous and unprofessional 'romantic dinner', 'kissing duck', etc remarks, has the gall to ride to our beloved's rescue?!? I commented to this effect on his blog yesterday and it was taken down within one minute - LMAO!! Well, Piersy, you've had your US profile elevated purely because of Susan; let's see you acknowledge it properly after the competition is over. In my eyes you have NOT been the enabler; you were enabled BY Susan.

You just hope the producers of this show have experts and professionals ready to guide her after this show ends. She is going to need the professional help and guidance, especially AFTER the show. Stress can take a psychological toll on anyone, and the stress associated with this situation is beyond my ability to comprehend. Given her isolated existence before this experience, it is hard to believe she has been able to cope at all.

We have to remember that virgins are also allowed to swear. So are people with learning difficulties. Why is Susan supposed to be a perfect angel without human limitations if she wants to stay a virgin? Why does she have to be divine in order to escape being like everybody else? God, this is sinister! Are we heading for a society where to be chaste and human is a crime? Slowly but surely, to be brain damaged has been promoted as a "crime" making people with short fuses be tasered and called names as has been done to Susan. Why aren't the reporters who provoked her being publicized as crazy? No, the way it is now is that if you do anything that suggests non-compliance with media standards of beauty and image, you are crucified at the first opportunity. Jesus had better not come back! He would be put in jail right away as anti-social.

Dear Susan,I would like to add my good wishes to you in the finals. I can't help thinking of the irony of it all. In your audition song you were Fantine and you sang of how all the beautiful dreams you had were crushed by the hardness of life. I imagine you chose that song not just because it is beautiful but also because it has some special meaning for you. Now the tigers come at night and in the light of day too, to tear your hopes apart. It's not surprising. I can only tell you what your art means to me. Your incredible voice and the heart and soul you give to the song have absolutely thrilled me. It is always inspiring to me to observe someone engaged in the work they truly love, the work they seem meant to do. You have inspired millions. I am one of them. Whatever your reasons for auditioning, I'm glad you did. It must take alot of courage to lay your hopes and dreams on the line in front of so many. I'm very sure you knew you could sing well but I wonder if you ever imagined the sensation you would create. No matter, that's done. Now all thats left is to finish the competition with the same fire and spirit we've seen from the start. Good Luck Susan, and thanks.

Susan's voice is a blessing and a God-given gift. She does not need to look to the BGT show for her sense of being worthwhile. Before BGT, she demonstrated how worthwhile she is by caring for her mum. The loss of her mum would understandably have left a large gap in her life and perhaps a sense of lost purpose.

My prayer is that Susan will discover that her purpose is fulfilled in being the multifaceted woman that she was created to be. I appreciate her willingness to share her talent in the BGT competition. That brave decision enabled people across the globe to glimpse a view of the soul and spirit that have been fashioned over years of living in obscurity while being faithful to family and to those in need.

Many treasures are concealed during formation - an oyster's pearl, the crystal center of a geode, a vein of gold running deep within the earth, the butterfly encased in its cocoon. Susan's BGT Audition opened the shell, revealed the crystalline contents, exposed a vein of golden notes, split apart the cocoon of seclusion, and allowed us to see what had been in the making long before.

No, Susan, does not need to win the BGT competition to become worthwhile. If she sings, she just permits the curtain to be pulled back further and gives us the honor of admiring the treasure once more. Either way, we know that this treasure is of great value. ________________________________________________ Posted first on 5/28/09 by Susan's Fan Suzan

@Navyvet:

Susan's singing 'I Dreamed A Dream'? Hallelujah!

I'm so happy that she's chosen that song. The lyrics will be even more poignantly appropriate now, after Susan has been through such a rough week. "But the tigers come at night/With their voices soft as thunder/As they tear your hopes apart/As they turn your dreams to shame...."

It's time to get the Kleenex ready. I know I'm going to cry buckets from the first note.

My Irish Grandmother used to say: "To have a Friend, Be a Friend." Perhaps as our Cumulative Gift to Susan, we Fans promise her to "Be a Friend" to someone who comes into our life once every day. Who knows, that cumulative act might encourage another Susan Boyle!

Susan Boyle is a lovely lady and I'm fed up with hearing such rude comments said and written about her. It makes a change to have real talent and not just young skinny wannabe's who have such a high opinion of themselves! Good luck to you Susan and we will be voting for you and cheering you on for the final. God Bless and keep your never and show them all

Susan Boyle, forever support you! Since your attractive voices appeared in the show, I was crazy and it was touching even I cry. Your existing was the symbol of courage and miracle. I hope you could be strong for us, for everyone who support you. Resist the people who tried to hurt you by the love we given.

calford, great. I'm going to do that.

Here's something else I need to get off my chest: others have also discussed it but i"ve got to rant. So she was deprived of a little oxygen at birth. So what. It doesn't make her "retarded" or crazy or uncontrolled or all these things they are saying. So she had some problems with book learning. Well, lot of people do that weren't deprived of oxygen. I think when she talks I see no problems in understanding, thinking, functioning, whatever. I wouldn't consider it something to criticize if I did see a problem. I myself have no mechanical or technological aptitude whatsoever. I was blessed with a good IQ. Pin a rose on me. It was all genes, and I didn't do as much with that blessing as I should have. There's something to criticize.

I HAVE A FAVOR TO REQUEST: For those of us in the USA and elsewhere who had never even heard of BGT before Susan Boyle, but who will be attempting to watch the finals on the internet, can someone please post the accurate start and end times? I understand after the show there is a delay for the voting? Please explain to us newbies how it all works, I don't want to miss a second! Posting British times is fine, I think we can all work out our local times. THANK YOU!!

I don't know if people agree with me, and that's ok if you don't. But I think she should wear her gold dress, and sing "I dreamed a Dream" she brought it with her, and I wonder if that's her whole intention.

I doubt you will ever see this particular comment Susan but it is out there

I can not imagine the stress you must be under as you go thru this experience. By entering the contest in the first place it could be said: "You asked for it". I would not say that. I don't think anyone would ask for the negatives that have been dished out by the press and others. Just know so many of us are thrilled to be cheering you on. It has to be quite a difference, this, from singing in pubs to singing in front of the WORLD! You are one strong lady.

You have a God given Gift and when you sing for us you share your Gift of MUSIC.......not NOISE!

I wish you all the best, you are the best. If for some reason you should not win the contest in this competition at least you shared your wonderful voice with all of us. There is hope in the world of music because of you. Thank you.

Please continue to follow your "IMPOSSIBLE DREAM", we love you Susan.

Folks, I'm sure this goes without saying but please do remember to vote for Susan in the final. All the publicity could result in a disastrous outcome with everyone thinking she'll be safe and not voting as a result.

All the negative publicity she's received this week should provide an impetus for everyone to rally around her and vote her the winner.

On a separate note, can our non-UK fans vote for her? They usually provide a separate number for fans in the Republic of Ireland, for example, to use if they want to vote in UK shows. Surely our International friends can use this to vote? Or just place a +44 in front of the number?
Posted by HAPPY on May 29, 2009
Are you sure she will sing "I DREAMED A DREAM"? The more I think about it,the more persuaded I am the best song for Susan's third performance tomorrow should be "THIS IS THE MOMENT" from Dr Jekyll and Mr Hide. Susan appears to have said herself the three songs she would sing told a story. Well, if you read the lyrics of I DREAMED A DREAM, MEMORY and THIS IS THE MOMENT, it really makes sense. It does tell a story, Susan's story from past dreams and disillusions, on to rebirth and final triumph over adversity. The words could have been written for her. Just imagine how the world would come to a hush when she stands in the center of that huge stage, on the biggest night in her life and start singing THIS THE MOMENT,THIS IS THE DAY WHEN I SEND ALL MY DOUBTS AND DEMONS ON THEIR WAY...

To all our American and other international friends: Saturday's final of the BGT starts at UK BST (British Summer Time) 6:45pm, to 8:30pm. That's the 10 finalists' performance. ITV1 then has another programme to fill a one-hour gap, and BGT Results starts at BST 9:30pm to 10pm. Now I'm very confused by the various US time zones, but BST is one hour ahead of GMT (Greenwich Mean Time which is the 'clock' we use from end-October to end-March), so I'd better not try and work it out for you good folks in different UK time zones.

Wonder if it means we have ONE WHOLE hour to vote? Hope so! That should be - let's see - 2 votes a minute per phone; I make it about 720 votes from our little party alone, all for Susan!

BRITS have been known to use the F**k**g work; WHY? The illiterate of those with educations do not know how not to insult or back off of a very tired person.

It is not a crime to use the word and she has lived within the world that those only understand it as a punch yet not physical and should not cost her any of her talent.

Have you people listen to the horrible words used and stories told within the music of RAP. That should of been outlawed yet it made alot of money for alot of people. i wasn't one of them - booh who. wah wah, cry cry.

You go girl I am right behind you and get your sleep.

Seems that when someone comes along & shines light into this world, Satan tried to squelch that light. He uses small minded, easily influenced, negative people to do his bidding. My opinion...

Prayers & well-wishes and positive thoughts can counter that influence. I am so happy to read all the positive posts & prayers on this site from around the world. Susan, the LORD said that if we ask for angels to guard & comfort us, He'll send them. I am asking for angels to be with you through this competition especially. God asked you to spread your shining light and you did His bidding! He will see you through...

God Bless You, Susan. You will always loom large in our hearts and in our CD collections! YOU ROCK!

Hello, I was just wondering from our fellow British fans out there... I was watching a previous act called Signature that went to the final last year. They apparently were the first act to win in the semi finals so they were the last act to perform in the final. Will this happen to Susan too as she was the first one to win in the semi final? If so, then BGT sure knows how to keep an audience. Also does anyone know what time the final starts EST USA & how to see it? I am so nervous & excited at the same time! Go Susan!!

Apart from being spiteful and irrelevant, those who criticise Susan's appearance are totally wrong. She's got a pretty face and is elegantly dressed on stage. She also has great deportment - just watch her striding off in those heels after her audition. She's better turned out and far more talented than a lot of famous singers AND she's done something useful with her life apart from entertaining. Who gives a flying **** if she lets rip every now and then. I'm sure her targets deserve the abuse. Anyway the Scots are a feisty lot and proud of it. I totally agree with the person who said that Susan is now doing BGT a favour by turning up. She's risen way above the show and everybody else on it, not that she'll let that go to her sensible head. She thoroughly deserves the recognition not just for her lovely voice and her courage but as an inspiring example of unselfishness that's so difficult to follow. What a mother she would have made. What an auntie she does make. All her relatives and friends must be brimming over with pride. It's wonderful to see the huge amount of worldwide support Susan's getting. Just for a short while something unites rather than divides us. Loads & loads of good wishes Susan. You're a one-woman feelgood factor. Give the global village another high on Saturday night. I'll be watching and cheering you on from Cornwall. XXXX

Also a frofessor has warned about putting her in the final, I say rubbish to that the bloke does not know what he is talking about, I am a psychiatric nurse and know what i am talking about, all she needs is a friend to be with which bgt has provided, nothing else, I wish that people would stop talking rubbish, even these so called proffessionals.

Susan Darling. Well said, "I had been practising for weeks. And I am not going to throw away my chances". These are the words that come out from a strong minded lady with great determination, will power and passion to win. I, 100% agree with you on that. Don't let the "bullies" win over you. Show them your true colour and let them eat their words. They are jealous of you. If you quit, which earlier on was reported, I was worried how far it is true. Otherwise you throw away your chances. And the "critics", "bullies", "haters", "Lily Allen the Lucifer" etc will be very happy that they won the battle over you. I am very glad indeed to hear the news too that "you want nothing more than to stay and sing in the Britains Got Talent Final" which is tommorow, Saturday 30.5.2009. Bravo!! I know that your chances of being crowned the winner of BGT 2009 is great and to perform infront of the Queen. My very best wishes and Good Luck to you Susan. Stay cool, relax, concentrate and sing without any pressure like you sang in your 1st audition "I Dreamed A Dream" which was beautifully sang with perfect pitch. You go ROCK again the audience and the 3 judges, Simon, Amanda and Piers and those who are going to VOTE for you. God bless you again all the way. Take good care. Happy singing!

HappyBrit, I so agree about the appearance and have made similar statements here and elsewhere. Before I saw her on her audition video (just a couple of days after it was available), I had read things like "homely", "dowdy", "frowsy". When I watched the video I couldn't believe those words had been used. I saw a nice looking woman, with a lovely face, a delightful grin, and a beguiling smile. And great poise and dignity. And the media is still using those words, along with "spinster", "never been kissed", etc. I don't know what we have become. Talk about "having eyes to see but can't see". When you stop and realize how this woman has been put up before the world and metaphorically stripped naked, her appearance, her learning problems, her lack of employment, her treat by others all discussed over and over. I couldn't deal with it. I guess the only reason she can is because of being so disrespected all her life, it's just more of the same.

I just want to say that Susan sings and tears come to my eyes, she has the voice of an angel. I just hope that fame does not change her as she seems to be an average good person. I sure would love to hear her sing the song "The Rose" it is such a beautiful piece and very well done by Bett Midler but I think Susan could really make it zing. If anyone can actually get in touch with Susan please mention this song to her. Good luck Susan.

Here's a post someone wrote on Pier's blog. It is very good. Also, I'm glad there someone else out there who is pointing out this issue. At this point, I'm beginning to feel as demonized as Susan! " 29, 2009 at 3:38 pm Washington DC says

“Deprived of oxygen at birth” and “learning disabilities” say it all. My cousin, who’s about the same age as Susan, has the same problem: it’s brain damage. The “learning disabilities” (which one does not outgrow) are just part of the story. There is a lack of reasoning ability - and often concomitant behavioral issues. My cousin cannot cope either with stress or “variation”. She does well with rote and routine. It is consequently very difficult for her to deal with the public. At work, the first monkey wrench or “problem” - and she would have an outburst or run screaming from the building. As a result, she hasn’t been employed for about 10 years. These individuals ARE bright - and in Susan’s case, talented. But there is a disconnect that makes it very difficult for them to function socially - and because they are bright - they are often quite hardheaded - not really grasping the subtleties of social behavior. They are more “literal” and a lot less able to read more subtle social clues - such as when someone is just being kind, and not really 100% “honest”. As a result, they may not be so realistic about what they actually CAN achieve in the circumstances - and it’s very heartbreaking - because you know they have the basic intelligence and/or talent - and but for this tragic incident, they’d probably be a rousing success. But there is no “pill” or “cure” for brain damage, or the learning disabilities, or the behavioral issues. Behavioral therapy can only help to a point. And families get worn out eventually with having to perpetually “parent” an otherwise fully grown adult. I have nothing but empathy for Susan and her family

SUSAN IS A BRIGHT SHINING STAR!!! She will be protected from now on...because I think they BGT and whoever else is helping Susan Know that she needs protection from the media/crazed fans etc. All will be fine once she settles in to her new life!! She became a superstar...basically overnight!! I can only imagine what she is feeling. BUT all will be WELL she is an angel in God's hands!!! AND she has us her loyal fans who will protect her like big sisters/brothers!! GOOOOOOOO SUSAN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Susan has special needs and should be protected. It isn't fair to leave her out there and then be all surprised when things go wrong. It's like putting two different cultures together and allowing no time for adjustment. This is why goverments have diplomats... Piers is a lot to blame with his patronizing "approval" of "lowly" Susan. Here's my comment on his blog: Piers, you say you have experience but what kind of experience? You have patronized Susan Boyle badly from day one, giving her your approval for the “frumpy” dateless “virgin” she is. You should NEVER ever have judged or placated her on that basis. You have insulted her a lot just to see her squirm. These things might be said on the spur of the moment but you have to clarify… You need to explain to her that your offers of kisses and dates were in fun. People do this all the time, but you made yours seem like approval. You were wrong! You people are money hungry and make this money out of sensationalism. Fine, the public is just as bad but they are honest about it. You aren’t. You hide behind your so-called taste and botox. You are not helping her stress. You are creating it. STOP now!

Satellite Susie, that letter from Susan to her voice coach where she thanked him for liking her, said no one had ever liked her before and asked how she could get people to like her will haunt me forever. All of these people in her village are whooping it up for her now, but where have they been all her life? Seems to me very few could have been there for her or she wouldn't say no one has ever liked her. The loneliness and rejection in that statement and in what she said about being thought worthless ties my stomach up in knots. I hope there is cosmic repayment for those people who did that to her. I have posted this message to Piers...hope ya all agree with the way I feel...

Dearest Piers..can everyone stop talking about her difficult birth? Many other famous people have had the same learning disabilities and sure have overcome them. The reporters we goading her into a meltdown, with all the talk of her kissing you and then they got even more vile and personal with their questions-where were the PR people from BGT? As BGT knew of how Susan made an impact the world over..should the show not keep these rabid reporters at more than arms length and allow ALL performers practise and rest; giving only formal interviews? It was these type of scum that hounded Princess Di causing her death..when do the news rags..put a stop to this?

Susan has been blessed with the grace to sing like an angel. I appreciate her humility and quiet nature and I hope she will keep her eyes on the Lord to guide her in this new found fame, which can either enhance her life or tear it apart. I listen to her songs over and over because the sound and strength of her voice gives me hope and an unexplainable joy of which I'm truly thankful. Susan, know that I pray for your well being daily and am so very proud of you! Be yourself Susan...you're beautiful!

Susan! Here's a fan from Canada who was completely BLOWN AWAY by the purity of your voice and obvious talent. You are a strong and fiesty woman and you have worked real hard to get to this stage. Don't let the negative and hurtful comments get to you coming from some of the self absorbed people out there. You are beautiful, your voice is amazing and you are a REAL person with a real talent and in my opinion you make us ALL proud. Regardless of what happens...you most definately have a future...I am one who would proudly purchase your future recordings!! Go Susan!!!

Posted by greygrannie on May 29, 2009
I would like to comment on this Piers/Susan thing. Although Piers did not say so at the beginning, he has since stated that he cannot take Susan on a date until after the finals because that would be showing favouritism. It would probably be fun for Susan to have a great evening out to celebrate but it is not ethical for Piers to make a media event out of it! On Piers' blog the other day, someone said that she hoped they would get married!!!! Is Piers really the sort of person Susan would be happy with? I think not! He's a sophisticated, worldly man who has proved once that he is not capable of being faithful to one woman. PLEASE let's stop thinking of them that way. If Piers can help Susan with her career or support her through these days, it's okay. But not by leading her on in a romantic way. I don't think he really has any romantic ideas about Susan - he's just been toying with her feelings. And our Susan doesn't need that!

What a voice what a talent. Whatever you do please do not let the media get to you. Most of the citizens of this great planet pay them no attention for if we did-- not a single person would leave their home let alone enter the entertainment or political arenas. They are just doing a job and a dirty job at that. Stay strong and know you have a talent a God given talent -- keep the faith and because of you I saw a human side to Simon. You rock!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Thank goodness the blog cleared up the truth! I get an RSS feed and when the video entitled "Susan Boyle To Quit Britains Got Talent - Exclusive" came up, I was in shock because I thought the feed was always current. Last night here in the chat room we clarified pretty concretely that she wasn't quitting and the tabloids were spreading hateful vicioius lies to sell newspapers. So that "new" video needs a disclaimer and NOW! Scary. Oh well, I'm happy and proud of this site in general and of course for Susan all the way! Blessings!

SUGGESTION: How about Susan refuses to be associated with BGT because they used her and didn't provide for her special needs. How about she refuses to go any further with this type of provocation, exploitation and propaganda that virgins and the brain damaged are insane and worthless. She should refuse to go on tomorrow and be done with this tacky association. Any contract should by now be null and void. No one should be hurt, defamed or made sick through a contract. In response, this site should continue as her fan club taking off all references to BGT as soon as possible. This fan site should not encourage Susan to sing tomorrow. She needs to rest. We should all protest her treatment and start lining up to buy her CD which she should go on to produce independently of Simon Cowell, Piers Whatever and the others. Let's do this now before tomorrow. Her singing gift lies in her virginity and clarity of mind. These are now being demonized because they go against the materialistic tide. Susan must be protected from becoming a tool in the war against virginity and spirituality.

YourAwesome - that's WHOOP-ASS. And I'm about to open a 55-gallon drum of it; I've just about had it with this bulls**t. Between the people from her past, and the media, etc. in the present. I am SO looking forward to seeing her have the last laugh.
Posted by true dat on May 29, 2009
Susan, keep your chin up, honey. The only thing that is important is being true to yourself. Go out there and sing as if you are singing with your mates in your pub back home. You have a beautiful voice, no matter how things turn out, and you should be proud of yourself. Hugs to you!
Posted by IvoryMist on May 29, 2009
She has to sing tomorrow...that is her dream. And if she does not win, she is still a winner anyways! Am sure she would be devastated if she could not continue...am sure she could last one more day...don't you think?
Posted by greygrannie on May 29, 2009
If Susan backs down now, it will just give her detractors more fuel. Let's think that perhaps this whole business has been blown way out of proportion, and that the reports of her "nervous breakdown were grossly overstated. Just as you've been saying, the media, including the people associated with BGT, will use any means to gain publicity.

greygranny..Piers has never had so many hits on his blog until Susan came on the scene...No dinner due to it being unethical...fine. Then why would he go ahead and report the event of her kissing him??? Not ethical at all-not a gentleman at all!!! This statement from Piers turned loose the reporters asking Susan very, very personal questions about the incident and her intentions toward Piers. In interviews after her first appearence, she told all she had a real 'wicked' sense of humor..what started out as her fun and jubliance has now caused many paparatzzi to stalk her and asked her questions that we cheap disgusting shots at her character. I say ENOUGH!!! In the words of her neighbors..."Just Let The Lassie Sing" and leave the rest of the garbage to the dump where it belongs!!!!

Posted by DannyMac on May 29, 2009
I am glad to know that some of you who are leaving messsages for Piers are calling him out for the way he has used Susan. They all have, but he has used her emotionally and that is beyond forgiveness to me. From what I have read of his background, he is a smarmy, shopworn, ex-gossip "journalist". Never did anything but that type of employment. He took advantage of a lonely woman to promote himself, while inviting everyone to snicker.

I am as mad as hell regarding the continuing hate campaign against this woman. The Daily Mirror, what a rag. It is stating that the BGT staff were thinking of pulling Susan out of the show for fear of how it is affecting her health. Simon is said to be really angry and now she is with friends and family and "chilling out." Also medical advice is going to be sought. The paper speaks as if it has been confirmed she behaved in that manner and ofcom have been alerted. ITV could face prosecution now if complaints are made from Susan or from other members of the public. Britains Got Talent and its big headed judges have gone too big for their boots. Susan is the real star of the show and damn them to hell if she's pulled out. I am spitting blood and ashamed to be British right now.
Posted by susanfan1970 on May 29, 2009
Good for her. I am anxiously waiting for the big night, probably like others. I just read Clive James 's long article about Susan Boyle at BBC web site, well, not a good one, but I couldn't write a comment. He was saying that she is not better than the half dozen back chorus in any opera house, and many others echoed on that. One even said that Susan was no where near the opera house's standard and one said she is no more remarkabel than hundreds of singers up and down the country!!!!!!!!!!!! And who said that Susan wanted to go to sing in opera anyway? I wanted to tell them, guys leave it as is, it boils down to FATE, tough luck. If the other operatic back singers are so good, ask them to go to BGT then!!!!!!!! Let's shock us. But no, they don't have what Susan has "courage" FULLSTOP/PERIOD.

On the one hand, BGT is definitely feeding the hype, which is unfortunate, but on the other hand, we would probably never have heard of Susan and her wonderful voice if it were not for BGT. It really has been a chance for her to shine. There is so much support for her, that I am sure she has a bright future, once she gets past this week and hopefully gets some trusted professional to help manage her career and protect her from some of the antics that are going on now, and from other unethical people that she will meet in the future.

You know, they can say all they want about her in the press. This is getting more attention than the beatles invasion. I've read it all and it's pretty funny to see some people want some attention so they just dog her and at the same time digging themselves a hole. I posted this before on youtube, the ones who don't enjoy her voice are either deaf are saying it for attention. My favorite music is hard rock like AC/DC, Aerosmith, Motley Crue, etc... But her voice has a rock tone to it, not just for classicals and show tunes. That's why she's already been in talks to record with a symphony. If she comes out relaxed and to have fun like she did in I dreamed a dream, she'll blow the competition right off the stage. And like Piers said, she's already won... She's a common household name now.

I'll post details tomorrow night during the final, hopefully, with the number you can call to vote. It will be expensive but if you make just one vote each, you're bound to ensure Susan wins.

It's important she does win. Her victory will be an important one and will send out a positive message about our phoney entertainment industry.

Just thought I'd provide this one in it's entirety. Not everyone is buying into the BS.

In Defense Of Susan Boyle Published by MTV News on Friday, May 29, 2009 at 12:51 pm. By Eric Ditzian

Susan! Susan, are you OK? Everyone seems so worried about you. The Associated Press tells me that “Britain and the YouTube-watching world is fretting over the pressure being piled” on you and your lovely voice. “God knows how poor Susan is feeling,” wrote “Britain’s Got Talent” judge Piers Morgan in a fit of high-horse condescension. Now I hear you’ve been shunted off to a “safe house” just days before you’re set to take the stage for your final performance.

But I’m not worried about Susan Boyle. I know the Scottish singer is going to be fine. Why? Because I’m not buying any of this Susan Boyle meltdown mumbo-jumbo. Tabloid reports of an expletive-laced tirade need to be taken with a grain of salt. Folks like Morgan who purport to speak on her behalf need to be ignored. And wouldn’t you hole up in a safe, quiet space before the biggest night of your life? All this noise surrounding Boyle is just par for the celebrity course, whether we’re talking about overnight sensations or longtime Hollywood starlets.

But it’s not just my inherent media skepticism that has me thinking Boyle’s going to be OK for her final performance, and beyond. It’s statements like this one, aired during last weekend’s semi-final show: “All my life, I’ve always striven to prove myself, that I can be accepted, that I’m not the worthless person that people think I am, that I do have something to offer,” she said.

Boyle apparently has spent her entire life being ignored, rejected, laughed at — and so is well practiced. The only difference now is that the contempt is coming from around the world, not just from folks in her town. She’ll adjust. She may not win “BGT,” but she’s likely to have a successful career in the years to come. That’s what happens when you become a household name. Just wait for the debut album, the memoir, the TV movie. If anything, YouTube-watching world, we should be jealous, not worried. Because Susan Boyle is going to be just fine.
Posted by culchied on May 29, 2009
Please vote for Susan in the final tomorrow night

Susan won't let us down .... she won't leave us on our own. She'll give us the best gift -- her beautiful song and the beauty of her soul and her face and her smiles -- on Saturday.

She gives us all, individually and collectively, that precious jewel of her voice, which she graced the world with.

Her semi song Memory is equally a mover of spirit as I Dreamed, breaking the brooks in our eyes that flow into the river of joy where we all now are swimming, getting wet with blessings from God.

There's no other one like her ... She'll be with us on Saturday, and we'll keep her company. The world will be face to face with her as she sings to us once again.

Susan, we love you -- and no one can take that away from you. Jesus loves you! You deserve such happiness! You deserve to win!

Lots of love & pray'rs

Good luck Susan! Hoping for a big win for you...but win or lose you are a winner for me. I'm looking forward to being able to have a CD of you singing after the contest is over. I love listening to you singing. The tabloid media is extremly nasty...keep your family and friends around you to help keep you calm for your big day. Enjoy yourself and have the time of your life. big fan from Nevada USA

I believe this whole thing with Susan has been CAUSED BY SIMOM COWELL AND BGT ... to get RATINGS and get more people to watch the finals Saturday night. After all Simon has arranged for DEMI MOORE to fly in to supoort Susan Saturday. I think this whole thinh is about MONEY and RATIINGS. It is called SHOW BIZ and they don't give a rip what happens to SUSAN. She pulls in the money and ratings for BGT because SUSAN is the HIT of the season. It is no wonder SIMON is saying these things to the PRESS that he has never seen anyting like it. Well, they do the same thing to stars in the States. I am not surprised and I think PIERS and AMANDA are part of it too. But in the end I really expect SUSAN to pull it through and get out there and do it for her MUM !!

Thanks, Lovin'EveryMinute, I needed that. Time for some in the media to speak up against their slimy brethern. Like a lot of the rest of you, I trying to avoid the ugly stuff. Don't read it on here if I can help it. I do hate to think of when they are announcing the results and Susan will be up there all alone, with everyone waiting to see how she reacts if she loses.

SUSAN BOYLE FANS:

So, where are we on creating a PayPal account for Susan with the money going to the charity or charities of Susan choice?

I think people, especially those of us in the USA who cannot vote for Susan, could contribute as little as $1.00 or whatever the cost of a phone call would be to vote for Susan. And, of course the donations could be as high as people would like.

It would be a way of saying to the world that we wish we could vote for Susan this Saturday nite & here is our support -- dollars (and/ or Euros) to her favorite charity.

Please let's focus & reach a decision on this so we can have an account set up before Saturday nite.

I welcome comments. (Ihave also posted this comment elsewhere on this website -- I didn't know how else to focus attention on getting a decision on this quickly.)

Susan, you have already won our hearts. I want you to win the contest because YOU want to win, but you are already a winner. I will buy your CDs and if I am very lucky, I will see you in concert someday. You are an inspiration in every way. You are the real deal. Good luck!

A very recent article from MTV:

Posted by culchied on May 29, 2009
There's the last semi-final this evening. Perhaps if I posted one/all of the numbers to vote one/more of the semi-finalists into the final you could test if it allows you? What do you think?

You have had a lot to put up with, more than the others so it's been hard for you, and I am looking forward to you going out there and enjoying the night of your life. Don't listen to the wind ups you've heard it all before. Just go and do what you have been waiting to do for years. We are right behind you.

Sorry, I forgot when this Daily Mirror article was posted, and it may have already been discussed..but, here was my response to it a short time ago...

Response to David Wilson, Dailymail.com debate: It is apparent the author of this article does not get humor. Did you hear her laugh after she did the shimmys, and after her very kind (sensitive to Simon, after he apologized to her for the way they treated her) and very good imitation of the character in Fawlty Towers. She makes a lot of people laugh with her when her good natured antics kick in. I feel sorry for you that you cannot see or enjoy a wonderful sense of humor. She understood perfectly well what the judges said. She has a lot of grace, and even makes fun of herself (when she started to walk off stage in the wrong direction). You could see it in her first performance, and even more in the semi final. Sorry for you, you sad sad critic, and for the other humorless people who picked on her good natured antics with negative comments. It floors me that you call yourself a psychologist, and you don't understand human nature or seek the truth about the GOSSIP on which you comment.

I'm trying not to worry . I'm thinking about her home town ,how they have faith in her. They are right now getting ready for a big celebration tomorrow. I think if she were as fragile as the tabloids say her brother would step in and bring her home. I think she is just going to a private place to rest up and clear her head so she can really relax. Thats what I want to believe , I just can't imagine her family not watching over her.She said she comes from a very loving family ,I'm sure they are there supporting her. We have fot to stop listening to those tabloids. I think its only her fans who are getting upset over what they write. The people who know and love her are ignoring it.

Won't it be exciting on Saturday? I seriously doubt anyone outside the UK can vote, but oh well. What matters is how she feels about her final performance. I can see the Internet going crazy after she's done. It's going to be awesome. So the second performance was a little shaky. Now she'll be ready for the pressure of performing live for the whole world... can you imagine???... and it'll be incredible. Can't wait to hear what she sings. Be ready to celebrate! Go Susan!

I am lighting a candle for Susan tomorrow - I'll be at work in a "goldfish bowl" and I'll bet all the Nursing Home visitors will know what it symbolizes - faith in, and encouragement to Susan - who has lit up the world.

Regarding the negative publicity, I think the beauty and goodness of Susan [not to mention her amazing talent] have been expounded so thoroughly that now, to sell papers, they need to print shocking, negative stories. Since they can't dig anything up, they goad her into a fury, armed with the knowledge of what buttons to push. Luckily, Susan, everybody knows about the dirty tactics regularly used by these rags.

If you showed your temper, maybe cussed a little, good for you! Now put them out of your mind and concentrate on blowing the whole world away with one more performance and sing for the Queen. Honor your contract to BGT, then get that CD out so all your millions of fans can make you as rich as you've enriched our lives. WIN, SUSAN, WIN!

Your post is so true Nancy Eileen ,thats why I can't read those articles anymore, they are just plain DUMB and they write it like its the gospel truth and you the reader have no way to defend Susan. It just makes you feel helpless. My only consolation is hoping others like you for example will see how DUMB it is too.Which from the comments on this site I see no one is beleiving this tabloid garbage!
Posted by culchied on May 29, 2009
I don't see why you you couldn't vote from outside the UK? It's a telephone number that you have to call to register your vote. The lines are always busy and you do have to try several times to register a vote but won't it be worth it when she wins? Won't it be just the same as dialling abroad as in any other context? (Except the call would be a little more expensive).

Isn't the problem that there is only 10 minutes to vote and possibly anyone from the States would never get through in time as the British have first rights to voting and they are already geared up to press their number in very fast to get their own vote to count. I don't understand why they only give 10 minutes to vote in the first place. It should be longer.
Posted by Sueandpebbles on May 29, 2009
I'm afraid you cannot vote from outside the UK. More's the pity or she'd storm home.
Posted by Sueandpebbles on May 29, 2009
We have an hour's voting tomorrow. The show starts at 6.45pm and then breaks for an hour at 8.30pm. Back at 9.00pm for the results and finishes at 10.00pm
Posted by culchied on May 29, 2009
They don't give 10 minutes to vote. Lines open at the end of the first show at approximately 20:30 BST. They close halfway through the results show at approximately 21:45 BST. That gives just over an hour to register your vote.

They give 10 minutes in the semi-finals to vote. The final is longer (as above).

It's vital she gets as many votes as possible. The negative press this week has been designed to knock her popularity and it invariably will have to some extent, thus affecting the voting. Therefore it's vital we get as many votes in as possible!
Posted by YeahSusan on May 29, 2009
I think this is a policy of the show. In Canada we are not allowed to vote for American Idol or Dancing With The Stars

If you would like to read my hommage to Susan please be so kind as to clik here: http://hubpages.com/hub/This-morning-I-prayed-for-Susan-Boyle

For calling from outside the UK you can buy a phone card from any company, there are electronic phone "cards" like union telecard and many others, whose advantages are that they are incredibly cheaper than big phone companies and also that you can decide how much money you want to spend beforehand. SUSAN WILL WIN. What Piers said is so true, that the world needed hope and Susan brought it for millions of people, along with her monumental voice. SUSAN WILL WIN because the world needs hope based on reality, and she is a real person with an incredible but real talent.
Posted by culchied on May 29, 2009
Sue the results show starts at 21:30 - not 21:00.

If people from outside the UK can't vote it's a real shame. She has a lot of fans around the world. Can't we at least try? :(

Can we collectively smile now knowing that, with luck, Susan Boyle has received the GOOD LUCK card from all of the Fan Site with the comments printed out for her to savor. Wasn't there a guaranteed 1:00 delivery time TODAY when it was posted yesterday?? Paul, our wonderful administrator would know.
Posted by Allikat on May 29, 2009
Folks--please. Calls coming in from outside the UK will simply NOT be counted. Yes, 'they' can tell. Don't clog up important phone lines with voting attempts that may appear to work; if you do, you might just prevent some votes for Susan from getting through which are being cast in the UK. It's something to consider.

Paul told us that the flower business won't be set up and done now until after the competition. He needs to find out exactly when Susan will arrive back in Blackburn, and nobody is going to know THAT until we see what happens regarding the Finals.
Posted by Patricia's Art on May 29, 2009
I never watch these shows. But I checked her out on youtube and loved Susan from the moment she explained where she was from. She was adorable! The last time I got excited and rooted for someone was in 1975 when the Red Sox was in the world series ( I'm originally from Maine) I watched every game! Well this is the Super Bowl and World series all wrapped up into one. I think Susan will be great and she will win !

ALL OF YOU, ESPECIALLY THOSE I FEEL I HAVE GOTTEN TO KNOW AS WE HAVE POSTED SO MUCH. I JUST HAVE TO SAY, THAT I TRULY DON'T KNOW OR UNDERSTAND WHAT TOOK ME OVER WHEN IT COMES TO SUSAN. I HAVE NEVER HAD ANYTHING LIKE THIS IN MY LIFE. FROM THE MOMENT I SAW HER AND SHE BEGAN TO SING, I WAS JUST TAKEN OVER. WATCHED THIS SITE FOR A FEW DAYS AS IT SEEMED THE BEST PLACE TO KEEP UP WITH HER. BUT AFTER I READING THE COMMENTS, I HAD TO JOIN SO I COULD TALK TOO. I SEEM TO ALWAYS BE THINKING ABOUT LADY SUSAN. IT'S LIKE SHE IS MY FLESH AND BLOOD, THE WAY I FEEL SUCH LOVE FOR HER AND WORRY ABOUT HER AND WANT TO MAKE EVERYTHING OKAY FOR HER. I WONDER WHAT WE HAVE IN COMMON, THOSE OF US HERE AND ELSEWHERE WHO HAVE BECOME SO INVOLVED, ADDICTED, OBSESSED OR WHATEVER. SOMETHING HAS MADE EACH OF US ESPECIALLY SENSITIVE TO THIS PERSON. A MYSTERY. NOT THAT I'M COMPLAINING YOU UNDERSTAND. I JUST THINK ABOUT IT SOMETIME.

Susan,

All you need to do to be a raging success is to be the person you've been all your life. Forget the pressure and just do what you came to do....have fun and enjoy! Just being yourself, coupled with the best singing voice I've ever heard will make you a favorite of zillions all over the world. We're all out there pulling for you, and if you'll just be yourself, you're going over the top. Most celebrities are fake and fluff, and it's so wonderful to see a REAL PERSON for a change. God bless you, Susan!! NOW GO GIRL!!!

Gee, was just in the chat and it's a bit nasty right now. So thought I would just post here and say I'm watching BGT online and Hollie Steels just broke down in tears during her song and could not continue.
Posted by PIGGIE on May 29, 2009
She wanted to have another chance, show producers said no time, then Simon said "we will find the time somehow."
Posted by Patricia's Art on May 29, 2009
DannyMac , I think its because she has been so open in her interviews. We can relate to her. She is not trying to push herself forward. In her interviews she says she just wants to sinfg and make people happy. Her way of talking is so gentle and loving. Thats why I don't believe the tabloids. Simon says she is one special lady, Piers says she is a sweet and kind person. Amanda always has spoken well of Susan . So we know Susan is a loving, caring and kind person and we wish her happiness and success. I think all this mean sniping in the press is hurtful to us.Its like watching someone throw stones at someone you love,an innocent . It really stirs a compassionate cord in our hearts!

Oh..poor thing. She is so young too..must be stresful. It was good of Simon tosay he would find time!!
Posted by Patricia's Art on May 29, 2009
Wow,Simon must be getting stressed out with this emotionally charge situation. He is coming under fire in press reports for creating a situation of endangering people mental health.
Posted by PIGGIE on May 29, 2009
Yeah, felt sorry for her. But that's just another reason why they really shouldn't have these young kids in this competition. Not to take anything away from Hollie, but I'm still 100% behind Susan and just hope Hollie doesn't get the "sympathy" vote and pull off the win.
Posted by YourAwesome on May 29, 2009
??? Things are getting a little ridiculous. It sounds like everyone is getting stressed....for different reasons when they are suppose to be having fun!!
Posted by gagirl on May 29, 2009
I think it is sad the the press is picking on Susan. They should be praising her strength to follow her dreams. I think she is terrific and the press needs to report this. They need to report how important it is to follow your dreams like Susan.

What a complete disgrace for the show producers and judges. Holly Steel cracked up on stage and they let her perform again. I have posted before on this site on the subject of young performers being subjected to this harsh public performing environment. Susan Boyle should leave the show asap.
Posted by fano123 on May 29, 2009
I have been following the recent press on Susan's behavior and can say I am not surprised. I have a family member who had oxygen deprivation at birth as well and I see several similarities between Susan and B. 1) Both are decent and kind hearted people. 2) Both are intelligent. Slow learning and intelligence are not always connected, ask anyone with Dyslexia. 3) Both are artistically inclinded. B writes poetry and make her own jewelry.

Nevertheless, B does have a disability and it is most evident in her social capabilities. Routine, familiarity and support from close friends and family are important to her. Radical changes in any of these are a threat to her and a source of great stress. When this happens, the outbursts and F-bombs soon follow.

Going from anonymity to world-wide fame to tabloid punching bag would be a great challenge for anyone. For B, multiply this difficulty by a factor of 10. This gives me an even greater appreciation for Susan's accomplishments and courage. To his credit, I think that Piers Morgan understands this as well.

Is this something Susan can overcome? Absolutely, with a little guidance, support and TIME.

I remain a great fan and wish Susan the best of luck.

As for the two journalists who provoked Susan, I think you need to reset your moral compass.

I don't think kids should not be competing in a contest with adults. There should be a separate show for little kids. Simon has never been married or had kids,he is not very understanding from their point of view, even when he tries ,it he still sounds distant and uncaring. He was not understanding when Holly cried,he acted like why are you crying, you got through it. I don't think a show should exploit kids.

Hi all, does anyone know the link where you can watch the final tomorrow? Or will there be a site here?
Posted by JRH2063 on May 29, 2009
Leave the show Susan tomorrow before the final. You will gain great respect from me and my friends for doing so. We have had enough of the BGT circus..we just want to hear you singing and listen more to your marvellous personality. BGT owes you much money for creating the interest in the show this year, and I hope they pay you for that.

Aiden and Holly in the finals!

Its Susan's dreams that matter?? I wish I knew exactly what she wanted at this moment so I could pray for what she wants?? Until I find out any different I will remain positive for her WIN!!! God Bless Susan!! I hope she has recieved our Card...or she gets it early tomorrow so she will know how much we love her!!

FOUL!!!! Shaheen and Holly - although just kids were given a second chance by the judges..yet Susan was taken to task for problems in the first fews notes...FOUL!!!!!
Posted by texun on May 29, 2009
Aiden rocked. Deserved the #1 spot. Holly gained unfair advantage and a sympathy vote. Every single act had nerves and gaffs and were not given the chance to start over. If possible, I have gained even more respect for Susan to pull out the stops and make a triumph from almost disaster.
Posted by PIGGIE on May 29, 2009
People are talking in the chat about voting outside the UK. Can Paul post something on the homepage about NOT doing that as it will just clog the lines and their votes won't be counted?
Posted by JRH2063 on May 29, 2009
How sickening and hypocritical are those judges. Completely agree with 'Patriciaciasart' above - kids should be separated from an adult talent show (I said the samne thing in earlier posts yesterday). The fact that the judges gave Holly a secondd go at a performance to reach the final beggar's belief. Did any other contestant get a second chance? My advice to Susan is to quit the show now and demonstrate some moral superiority by doing so. Your fan base is already well established Susan. Susan, don't let yourself be paraded as a fool in front of hypocrites on a live TV show
Posted by LucyB on May 29, 2009
PHEW! the last semi-final is over---the only one with real talent is Aiden, the dancer. He's good and will be even better with a few more years development. What a SAD display by Hollie, not that it was intentional, but she's a CHILD. It was nice that they let her perform her song again, but she should NOT then have been included in the competition and then got a 2nd place---GRRRRR. I'll take our SuBo anyday over any other act, even Paul Potts. To DannyMac---my sentiments exactly, I just thought it was my problem---but I guess there's an awful lot of us out here that have totally lost our hearts and souls to Susan Boyle. It'll be hard to function for the next 24 hours cause I'll have all my fingers, arms, toes and legs CROSSED until I hear the name SUSAN BOYLE as the winner of the 2009 BGT Final. YOU GO SUSAN & ROCK THE UNIVERSE AGAIN!!
Posted by IvoryMist on May 29, 2009
Am on ATV2 ...Piers predicted Susan Boyle would win, Amanda said Holly and Simon said "anyone of the 10". I have a feeling Piers thought he had to say Susan!
Posted by Lovin' Every Minute! on May 29, 2009
I agree wholeheartedly w/ texun, above.
Posted by Lovin' Every Minute! on May 29, 2009
Also agree, kids' talent show should be separate from adults.
Posted by Lovin' Every Minute! on May 29, 2009
IvoryMist - Isn't it unrealistic to say that "any one of the ten" could win? I mean, let's be realistic!!
Posted by Lovin' Every Minute! on May 29, 2009
Although the judges should either say that, or say nothing. But I guess their business is to gin up interest in the show!!!
Posted by Kalua on May 29, 2009
I think that te competition will come fron Aiden an Diversity, Hollie poor kid will break down tomorrow, all the rest I personnally see no chances for them
Posted by Kalua on May 29, 2009
but I'm still convenced that Susan will win
Posted by stevieboy49 on May 29, 2009
To those who suggest that she pulls out I say "Susan must continue". She has said that her one goal is to win it for her late Mum and I know that she feels that she would be letting herself and everyone of her supporters down were she to withdraw. She must sing tomorrow night and I think that her rendition of "Cry Me A River" would knock them for six. If she can just keep her composure and sing with the mike in her hand, as she is used to doing on the karaoke circuit here in West Lothian, she will be fine. Win for yourself, your family and for Scotland, Susan and show all the doubters and your fellow competitors a clean pair of heels. But, please, just walk off once you have sung your song with your head held high - no silly remarks and fancy gigs!
Posted by Navyvet on May 29, 2009
no matter what Susan has won our hearts...but are 'do overs' fair to all contestants - what if ya get a do over but are excluded from the running automatically????
Posted by casskay on May 29, 2009
Ladies and Gentlemen...light your candles!!! I'm working on my "happy dance" so I can dance with joy when you win!!
Posted by pottedferne on May 29, 2009
not only do I agree with texun, I say "double dog foul"!!! it simply isn't right that Susan was able to keep on going after the awkward first note and got criticized for it - WOW.

I give my solemn promise to all of you to never watch this farce of a show after Susan's final winning performance.
Posted by YourAwesome on May 29, 2009
It was most likely a judgement call..and I'm glad Hollie got to do it again..I think Susan would even think it was ok?? We will hear about it somewhere down the road. Yes Stevie..I'm with you..!! It's Susan Dream! I'm behind whatever she wants!!!
Posted by Penny08 on May 29, 2009
Quick question: what's the line-up for tomorrow? Is Susan's Act the last?
Posted by YourAwesome on May 29, 2009
Maybe if she would have asked for second chance..they would have given it to her too?? Guess we'll never know...BUT she made it!! That is what's important...she is about to WIN AND WIN BIG!!!
Posted by Allikat on May 29, 2009
For all fans here living in the UK--please, please, try to dig deep and vote as many times for Susan after the Finals as you can, for those of us who live elsewhere and cannot cast votes that count at all.

I know I plan to spend money on 'other things' for Susan later--perhaps some of us not in the UK can kind of make it up to everyone in the UK who casts lots of 'Susan' votes that way...it's just an idea.

Everyone, pray hard that the phone lines don't get overly clogged and go down during Finals voting! And that everyone in the UK can get through who is trying to vote! Whoever 'wins' this competition will do so based not on how many people vote for her, him, (or them), but based upon how many people cast as many votes as they can possibly get through. That is how it works.

I was just in chat and there are Susan bullies in there!! Most of them are 'Guests' and one goes by the name GueroMex, obviously has joined this club. They plan to RUIN chat for us. I reported them to abuse, but we need more to report them so they will see how bad they are. There should not be allowed Guests, since they can come in hidden and cause trouble! Also, someone in there said that they have had to move Susan to a hidden location to protect her :( WHAT IS GOING ON!?? WHY is Susan in SO MUCH trouble? And WHY are people so mad at her?? :( JJ :(
Posted by YeahSusan on May 29, 2009
I just saw a news item of Susan being driven away in a car. She did a thumbs up, looked happy and quite chirpy. All reports of her emotional state have been grossly exaggerated, I'm sure. She looked as though she will be just fine tomorrow. Hollie Steel was absolutely shaking on stage, even after she learned that she was one of the winners. What pressure to be put on a ten-year old! And who is she trying to please?? It didn't look as though she enjoyed performing one bit!

Posted by Navyvet on May 29, 2009
Susan is not in any trouble...because of the reporters getting to her..asking extremely personal questions and goading her..she was taken to a 'safe' place to relax, rehearse and just be left alone...no bads TV News. Photographers up her nose everytime she turns around. She is with family and friends who are just keeping her spirits up and letting her know anout the millions of us who love her!!!!!

Wow! I am stunned by the cruelty of the British press. I hope Susan has some loving people to support her and help her offset the stress they are putting her through. She has a lovely voice and she deserves every happiness.

Boy, it is hard to respond to all of these posts but glad we are all on the Susan Boyle bandwagon.

i. Please, those who CAN vote,, if you can vote for Susan as many times as you can for those of us that can't vote. I won't try because I don't want to tie up the phonelines.

ii. I still believe BGT staged this for ratings and money and didn't protect Susan.

iii. I also think BGT is now responding because of the fans that have posted on Piers blog and most told him that Susan needs a mentor and protection from the press and it his responsibility to get it done.

iv. Simon will come out OK. He will make hunks of money off of this. It's a dream come true for him no matter what he says in publick. It's show biz with him. He is already getting a recording contract for Susan and is thinking of buying the rights of Susan's life to make a movie. Of course Susan will make money too. And she deserves all the millions she most likely will earn in time to come.

iv. I hope Susan sticks it out and thinks of her Mum and why she entered the BGT auditions to begin with and hope she is mad enough ti belt out a song that knocks all of those who have made fun of her right off their regal seats.

v. I have never seen anything like this since Elvis annd the Beetles. Susan is right up there with them all.

vi. Last but not least, give her a microphone to sing with as she practiced with a hairbrush for years and that is the way she sings. Let her do it HER way !!

Susan, Just know that you are a worthwhile person. You always have been and you always will be. The last 6 weeks must have been absolutely 'mind blowing'. You have been on a huge 'roller coaster' ride and are still riding it.It is most understandable if you feel the temptation to get off (most would). You are an extremely talented person, who has already given the world and enormous amount of inspiration. I am sorry you have now been introduced to the 'nasty folk' who feed off others and enjoy their pain. These people actually give very little to the world. They probably deserved a good 'tongue lashing'. Just know that you are better than they are. Feel embraced by the many people who, without knowing you are 'rooting' for you on Saturday. I know you will probably not read this, but I had to write it anyway. I wish you strength !
Posted by DannyMac on May 29, 2009
I wish Susan didn't have to have her new professional life hooked up with and controlled by Simon. I wish she could have a good manager and agent & let the record companies, concert producers, everybody, compete for her.
Posted by LucyB on May 29, 2009
OHGOODGRIEF!!!---I just watched NBC Nightly News and they ran an full (2-3 Minute long) story on Susan's big night tomorrow and whether she could do IT and win, since she's had a rough week, etc, etc, etc.

Do you suppose the media is working to generate a frenzy in the ratings, all on Susan Boyle's back!!??? OH, I hope she comes out and ROCKS THE WORLD and makes the media all look like the manipulators and fools that they are!!
Posted by pottedferne on May 29, 2009
Yep LucyB, it is on here too. Again negativity sells better than positivity!

Well, what do you think the jerks are going to say after Susan wins!!!
Posted by mdillow31 on May 29, 2009
To OHGOODGGRIEF: I am in Illinois and MSNBC, FOX, etc are playing it up on Susan and the press and whether she can make it through the finals. I thought this would hapen because Simon said, " The Americans are obsessed with Susan and if Susan doesn't win the Yanks are coming to start World War III." Yes, the media is doing this for money and ratings.
Posted by pottedferne on May 29, 2009
Its getting ready to come on here, so I'm going outside and kill a weed in my garden for therapy and NOT watch it. See youall later!!!
Posted by mdillow31 on May 29, 2009
To pttedferne:

After Susan wins the media will swarm her and every one will be on Susan's bandwagon hoping to cash in, even though some have as of now tried to do her harm. There are times I can't stand the low lifes in the media.
Posted by mclim on May 29, 2009
Susan, I agree that you must relish in all the media press. They don't go after someone who is not already famous. The fact they are REALLY after you means they know you are the most popular person in the world right now. there is NO ONE in any corner of the earth who hasn't heard of you. You will get on that stage tomorrow and put them in their place. They will one day learn the backlash that will come with talking negative about Susan. You have SO many fans that will fight heaven and earth standing up for you.

My thoughts will be with you all day tomorrow and I will be one of millions who will be cheering you on.

To Doc Robbie -- I think I may have figured it out. They are running TWO of BGT at the same time, but on a different channel. They are overlapping. In Daylight Savings Time, ITV! starts at 1:45 pm to 3:30 pm. Next, ITV1 runs the Final from 4:30 EDT to 5:00 (Or 5:30) for the Finals. ITV2 is running Britain's Got Modre Talent in parallel. That is where I got confused. Hope this helps! Best! BJ

I just saw on E! Entertainment Susan looking good and with a female that was with her and she was smiling. Piers was on an interview there and he said that he told Susan to unpack her bags because this was the biggest prize. Apparently Susan listened to him and thank God she did. Hopefully, this will turn out good for Susan and all of her fans. I am glad I got to see this with my own eyes instead of hearing this and that. Susan looked.... GREAT!

Behind you all the way Susan. Don't be letting a few loud mouths make you lose your focus. Go Girl!!!
Posted by BJG on May 29, 2009
Holly is the person who should be withdrawn, and there is still time to do that. Is there anyone with contact with Simon and Amanda who could get to them to withdraw Holly immediately. This is about a lot of money, and people's careers. I would hate to have Susan in the middle of of something like that. If someone knows Simon they should recommend he contact the producer and fix this as quickly as possible. What do you think?
Posted by sashina on May 29, 2009
Susan, I think you are a breath of fresh air to the world at the moment!Well all simply love you as a person as well as that gtreat uplifting voice. You have reached to hearts you would have never dreamed possible. I know you will win.. and i can't wait to see the look on your face.God bless you sweet lady. Jeanette
Posted by BJG on May 29, 2009
Well, I just think we have to roll with it. If Susan knocks it over the wall it won't matter, and Holly will have had her chance. All will be well. We sll worry too much.
Posted by pottedferne on May 29, 2009
BJG...I am beginning to think this is all about the drama of the finale orchestrated by Not So Simple Simon and Jeeves (sorry what's his name- he had none before Susan)!

I watched the video of Holly and it appeared to me to be a temper tantrum.
Posted by sashina on May 29, 2009

I live in the States and cannot vote for you, so PLEASE can somebody vote FOR me, Jean M., in McVeytown, PA, I will keep checking back. Susan has inspired me that nobody can help me change but myself. This is very important to me, a simple wife and mother.

You know, we want nothing more than for you to sing in this final phase of BGT! As far as the press goes, I became a Susan Boyle fan as soon as a friend e-mailed the video of your audition. The whole world knew you before the press did, and we're delighted to make your acquaintance. You are a very talented, sincere, and constructive person, Susan, and you have an understanding of honor. You have nothing to apologize for! If you put all the millions of people who are with you up against the miniscule numbers who think they should criticize you, the match up would be absolutely laughable. Enjoy the final, Susan, no matter where you look, you're performing for your friends!
Posted by mdillow31 on May 29, 2009
I don't see how they put Holly in the top 10. I think the judges felt sorry for her but Amanda leans towards children.
Posted by donnalee on May 29, 2009
Susan: Do not let the turkeys get to you!!!! Go out there and perform with all your heart and spirit-we all love you and you are so special. Tell that stupid media and others to go and "pound sand"!!!! And when you are done come to Carmel, California and spend some quality time there relaxing and putting your feet in your own sand!!!!

A beautiful, sunny morning, guess what on the radio here (Hilv 1)we were reminded by the London correspondent on the final of BGT tonight! We'll run off now to the candle site to burn a new on-line candle for Susan, a real (new) candle is waiting here to be lit for Susan.May our loving thoughts, prayers and positive vibes reach Susan, we *believe* she'll rock the world again and WIN!!

Well, when I couldn't sleep any longer, I got up to get on here with all of you. Going to be a hard hard day. I can't get the itv link as I don't have the windows player required. I'm on an imac and apparently we haven't acquired that software. I have located a couple of places I think I will be able to use. If not I will be on this site waiting for news from you. Any info yet as to where Susan will be in the order? You know I don't think Simon and the others have any idea of the real hostility they have created among the people in the US, and elsewhere with the way they have treated and manipulated Susan for their own ends. If they did, perhaps they would be worried about how receptive the public will be toward them in future.
Posted by YeahSusan on May 30, 2009
Well, much asI love Susan, I am rather glad that she came second. She seemed to be in a daze during the singing and only came alive when the winners were announced. I would have loved Susan to win but maybe it really was too much for her to take. Now she can return to her normal life and make recordings at her leaisure. She is such a special lady that I want her to be happy, not pressured!!

You are a winner! Not only have you brought International acclaim to yourself but created interest in British talent by drawing attention to BGT. Think that would be worth an OBE. Wouldn't be surprised if you receive your own well deserved invitation from the Queen to the Royal Command Performance. Was anxiously awaiting the results here in Sydney this morning. Will now look forward to your long awaited CD.

You know they say first impression's are everything and your dream was too be a professional singer well you proved that dream the first time you where on BGT. You don't have too prove anything else. It was very upsetting for me too watch this final of you as i'm sure it was if you where coaxed by the show and the producers. While the judges' have there ratings too fill they have never seen rare talent like your's before and its a wake up call like amanda said. As I said before follow that dream. Fulfill your own dream. Don't let the tigers put you shame. You've already showned the world a bit of your wonderful gift... Remember this Susan......The Greatest Gift to God is yourself, and what you do with yourself is the Greatest gift to God. Use God's Gift's to touch others lives live in the world but not of the world .

Susan you are our winner and hero in our hearts. Your voice is that of an angel, and I for one can not grow tired of listening to your voice. You sang beautiful songs that have long been forgotten. You brought new life to those songs.

If your mother is looking down from heaven you have made her so proud.

There are good people, and there are bad people. People that want to feed off gossip and lies, do not let them bring you down. Let those that believe in you be your shield of armor.

What you did with your voice, you did for yourself, and you did for your mom. You have won! The world knows your name, and your name brings smiles to many faces.

I will be looking forward to CDs with your songs. I will be buying several CDs, I want my closest friends to enjoy your singing as much as I do.

We are so proud of you!

Love,
