What song would you like Susan to sing next?
Posted by SBFII Admin on May 08, 2009

Susan Boyle was recently photographed carrying a list of songs from Andrew Lloyd Webber musicals that she is reportedly practising for her next appearance on Britain's Got Talent.

On the songlist, 'Tell Me On A Sunday' and 'Take That Look Off Your Face', from the hit show 'Song And Dance', were ticked. The title song from 'Phantom Of The Opera' and 'Here Again' from the same musical were also ticked.

Susan.jpg

Susan is due to perform again on ITV's BGT on 23rd May. It was claimed she would sing another Lloyd Webber musical favourite, Whistle Down The Wind. But the list Susan was carrying as she arrived at her home in Blackburn, West Lothian suggests that she may have other plans?

What song would you like to hear Susan sing? and which would be your favourite for her next appearance on BGT?

There is a new page set up here of the favourite songs you would like Susan to sing, if you have anymore suggestions let us know and we will add them to this playlist?

You can upload videos of your favourite songs for Susan to sing from YouTube and various other video sharing websites by just entering the video link here.

I'm sure Susan will pick the perfect song to suit her voice. I really don't care what she sings as I would love anything she does. Susan has the perfect voice to sing show tunes. I love "Memories" and would love to hear her sing that sometime but whatever she chooses to sing on BGT, she will do a great job.

Susan knows the audience will be expecting a stellar performance from her the second-time around. She has to consider the other singers in the competition and pick a song that will blow them out of the water. "Whistle Down The Wind" isn't gonna cut it. A stirring rendition of "Memory" from "Cats" would do it for me.
Posted by Attie5 on May 08, 2009
I'd like to hear her sing "Whistle Down The Wind" on BGT."Memories" would be nice too although its got awfully sad lyrics. Later though I'd love to hear her sing "Oh Holy Night", "I Vow to Thee My Country" and "If I Loved You"!

I've posted these elsewhere, but here goes again:.... "Don't Rain on My Parade," from Funny Girl.... "This is the Moment," from Jekyll and Hyde.... (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9KiX2Wgo7hg&feature=related, and who says it always has to be sung by a man?).... "Wheels of a Dream," from Ragtime.... "What I Did For Love," from A Chorus Line....

Also, I second someone else's suggestion for "You'll Never Walk Alone." That would be a true show-stopper....

"Memory," I think, is too predictable a choice.

Wonderful, Susan. You are beautiful inside and out (and your pipes, too). Lol. Best of luck to you...took some time but YOU MADE IT. Congratulations.
Posted by kewpie_kiss on May 08, 2009
I think the success of Susan's last performance was because she had selected a song that she said was meaningful to her Mother. You could see and feel her emotional connection to the song and I think that is what made the performance so powerful. I feel that Susan should consider a piece of music that she has a connection to. I know that people want the popular and well known, but if she feels compelled to select a hymn or a lesser known song, I think it will be wonderful, as long as she feels a connection to it. Her ability to emote in her last performance was what drew so many to her and as much as I would like to say it was the song...it was more her personal connection to it. That is my humble opinion. Follow your heart, Susan and you can't go wrong, be true to your Muse and let God and your inner spirit help you to decide what is right for you. Best of luck, and regardless of the results of the competition, you will have the satisfaction of knowing you were true to your own consciousness. You're the best!!!

I agree with kewpie kiss. Susan needs to pick a song she connects with. Hopefully, it will be of the "show-stopper" type - one that showcases her abilities, but not too obvious a pick. (I think "Memories" is too obvious.) I've commented before - the right jazz/blues standard would be great. Something a little more upbeat / triumphant than I Dreamed A Dream? No matter - she will OWN whatever she chooses to sing.

I'll admit to wishing Susan would choose to sing 'Memory' at some point on BGT, but not necessarily for this next round. Just because she's been seen carrying a notebook with a long list of Andrew Lloyd Webber songs doesn't mean she's going to use one of those for this upcoming semifinal. Whatever she sings for the competition does need to be something powerful and 'showy', something she herself loves and feels a strong connection with, and something the general audience will have heard before. Surely 'her' song and delivery of it will become iconic, and we'll remember that Susan is the singer who sang it in such a way that we'll always think of her rendition, regardless of how many other singers we hear perform it.

All my best wishes are being sent your way, Susan. Just you go out there and let that gorgeous Voice of yours soar. I feel so excited at the prospect of hearing another wonderful performance from you again!

what abot this one? http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-fedQAgU204

I thing this melody is oplifting and the lyrics is all about Susan Boyles love for singing.

Susan will "WOW" us with something wonderful! I think "Climb every Mountain" would be a great choice since they are asking us?? BUT....it is ultimately Susan's choice and I know we won't be disapointed. I think it will be another goosebump moment. I heard she sang "Ava Maria" just beautifully. ???? Hope we are kept at suspence to the last minute. lol
Posted by marshaLT_pinay on May 08, 2009
"Memories"...just the moment I imagined her sing that and the rest of the songs requested here, i teared up again and got goosebumps. That's it! She is magical!
Posted by dyebat on May 08, 2009
I'd like to hear something upbeat & inspirational in the next round--like "Climb Every Mountain" or "You'll Never Walk Alone". (We fans should all be singing "Getting to Know You"!) And I hope in the final round she includes something bluesy, not necessarily "Cry Me a River", but something along those lines, just to show the range of genres she can do.

However, as others said, It's her choice, & we'll enjoy whatever it is.

Lol--I just noticed a new video category, 'Songs for Susan to sing', so I turned in a couple of personal favs there which haven't been mentioned here yet. It's fun, seeing all the ideas people have to offer, both here and there! Maybe we can hope Susan will one day record a bunch of them?
Posted by PWattis on May 08, 2009
A few suggestions I have are: "Someone to Watch Over Me", "Somewhere Over the Rainbow", and Josh Grobin's hit "To Where You Are". I think "Climb Every Mountain" and "You'll Never Walk Alone" would also be good choices. I do not want her to do "Memories". Its over done.
Posted by Sueandpebbles on May 08, 2009
I've been thinking of songs for her for weeks now and have come up with much the same as you guys i.e "You'll never walk alone" & "What I did for love" being strong contenders.

Also the following "Somewhere" (there's a place for us) "I am beautiful (no matter what they say)" "I want to run to you" (the words would have a very emotional draw.)

Posted by CzechLadyUSA on May 08, 2009
I also think "Climb Every Mountain" would be a wonderful choice. She has a wonderful voice. I wish I could vote for her in BGT. Best wishes from Texas, USA. We love you here.

'Climb Every Mountain'-'When You Walk Alone' and 'Memory' would be three great choices for Susan to sing.

I am sure that the song that Susan picks for her next performance will be done magnificently by her.. I would like to say, however, that I have had day dreams of Susan singing "You Light Up My Life".... it just keeps going through my head over and over..... GO LADY SUSAN!! We will love whatever you do!

Howdy Pards,

Say, have any of you folks noticed how the celebration of Susan Boyle is starting to enrich all of our lives?

I'd wager that a good many of us haven't heard some of these wonderful songs we're debating here. What a joy it is to explore the various possibilities and to feel, once again, the magic of the theater.

Susan has reawakened a thrill many of us haven't had in a long, long time. I hear tell that ticket sales are up around the world for Les Miserables... And, now, all of us are eagerly anticipating what Susan might sing next...

I'm tellin' ya pards, this Lady Susan Boyle has brought somethin' wonderful, somethin' magical, something absolutely enchanting into all our lives. She is bringing joy to the entire world in ways we never imagined possible! It's hard to explain...but it is downright amazing...that's for sure...and, whatever it is that makes us so happy at Susan's success, well... it's well worth celebrating! Adios for now. Talk to ya on down the trail. Wild Ol' Dan

Posted by chitown girl on May 08, 2009
I would love to hear Susan sing You Raise Me Up. She is amazing so anything she sings will be fabulous. I agree that she needs to sing something that touches her heart because joy just emanates from her when she sings...that is why she touched all of our hearts. I hope she wins...she truly deserves to win!!!
Posted by amysole on May 08, 2009
It is very important the song choice, many of the sugestions that I read here are very good, but they had been played so many times in this kind of competitions, in my opinion it has to be a KILLER SONG if she goes for jazz FOR ALL WE KNOW( COOTS- NINA SIMONE) AND IF she goes for opera: CASTA DIVA ( MAria CALLAS style) then Susan will have us crying for ETERNITY.
Posted by Lovin' Every Minute! on May 08, 2009
Right on, Dan-O!

"There's something happening here,

What it is, ain't exactly clear,

She came on stage, with unruly hair,

Every judge had to stop & stare

Then she sang in her own special way,

With one bar, she carried the day

It rang out unbelievably clear,

Banished all pain and all fear.

Come on people now, smile on your brother

Everybody come together, try to love one another right now!!!"

LOL!!! Ain't life grand? (My apologies to Buffalo Springfield!)

We'll meet again (Vera Lynn) Cryin' (Roy Orbison) The way we were) Land of hope and Glory, etc.etc. but the best is a beautiful new song for Susan, a beautiful ballad.
Posted by pottedferne on May 08, 2009
Lady Susan will be fabulous at whatever she chooses, but I would love to hear her sing "the wind beneath my wings" as a beautiful tribute to her mother.

No matter whether she wins or not she is number one with me and look forward to her many forthcoming albums. I also would love to hear her sing "Summertime" from Porgy and Bess. This is not necessarily a good selection for the competition but just a personal favorite.

And yes, she is a lovely inspiration.
Posted by IvoryMist on May 08, 2009
How about "Raise Me Up"..a Josh Groban song?

When I heard she was singing "Whistle Down thhe Wind"...the more I heard it, the more I liked it.

I also like Memories.

Maybe now's the time to sing that song from "Jesus Christ, Superstar"..she sang it so well in her twenties!

So many good songs...hard to choose for her. She will choose one that she sings well, I'm sure!
Posted by IvoryMist on May 08, 2009
Susan actually sings very much like Vera Lynn....she could sing any of her songs...and make them famous again. "We'll Meet Again"...would be a fantastic song!
Posted by Theresa61 on May 08, 2009
I would like to hear Susan sing absolutely anything she likes! Where are the CD's get them out and I will certainly purchase.
Posted by maigret on May 08, 2009
Whatever she chooses will be OK with me. She seems versatile. What I want to know is who is she working with to select the song. Is it Still Fred O'Neill who seems to have done a wonderful job with her? And where is she practicing? Where does she get the musical backup?
Posted by jpmw329 on May 08, 2009
All I can say is WOW!!!! What an absolutely astoundingly amazing voice!! Susan is truly blessed with a beautiful gift and we are blessed and fortunate enough to have been able to experience it! All the best in everything you do, Susan! You will certainly be going places! I would pay dearly to be in an audience of yours and purchase your music! I look forward to hearing more of you! Jim, NYC

The following are a list of songs that I think she should sing and think that she would knock out.

Rainbow (Judy Garland) The Way We Were (Barbara Streisand) Evergreen (Barbara Streisand) The National Anthem 2010 Super Bowl - for sure on that one! I fall to pieces (Patsy Cline)

Posted by mimi2 on May 08, 2009
I trust Susan to pick one. She's the expert. Just something else uplifting, as these are very tough times, something about how we can make it through this, or there's light at the end of the tunnel, or having a dream and not letting it die, or slaying dragons that get in our way.

What a CUTE picture! Susan, girl, you are looking so much younger!

Miss Susan - The Blues are calling you! With the depth and emotion in your voice I think you would do justice to the great lady of blues - Billy Holiday! Looking forward to any future album you do - please make sure it's released in America! GOOD LUCK! Warmest Regards, "Tinkerbell"

So many wonderful songs that would fit Susan's great voice! Besides some of the newer songs, I bet she would do a fantastic The Impossible Dream or You'll Never Walk Alone. Can't wait for her next performance!
Posted by Lonnirose on May 08, 2009
I agree with IvoryMist - Susan does remind me of Vera Lynn, and I'd like to hear her do some of Ms. Lynn's songs. However, whatever she chooses will be great - she certainly chose well the first time and I believe she will do the same again. She's already a winner no matter what she sings.

As always, Wild Ol'Dan, your comments are great. I am also thrilled about "Les Miserables" becoming popular. I think it is one of the most important books to read, and if you can't read the book, the musical is really good too.

Victor Hugo was imprisoned for writing "Les Miserables". In the preface of "Les Miserables" it is written:

So long as there shall exist, by reason of law and custom, a social condemnation, which, in the face of civilisation, artificially creates hells on earth, and complicates a destiny that is divine, with human fatality; so long as the three problems of the age - the degradation of man by poverty, the ruin of woman by starvation, and the dwarfing of childhood by physical and spirtual night - are not solved; so long as, in certain regions, social asphyxia shall be possible; in other words, and from a yet more extended point of view, so long as ignorance and misery remain on earth, books like this cannot be useless. (Hauteville House, 1862)

I would LOVE to hear you sing the Judy Garland song -Once In A Lifetime or even Cry Me A River again!

Be yourself and surround yourself with caring, loving people who want the best for YOU! It just amazes me that NO ONE in your family has pushed you forward to pursue your singing career! They HAD to know that you were GREAT!

Another one I think she would do well is Quiet Please,There's a Lady on Stage.

I am sure whatever Susan decides to sing, she will sing it justice.Just like she did with I Dreamed a Dream. For the few minutes she was on stage she became the song.I will never be able to listen to it again without thinking of Susan.

They say Angels walk among us and I believe they let us know when they are present by sharing their voices through song. It seems the quiet, shy, and humble people are the ones we miss until they set their voices to music and that's when it happens the Angel unfurls his or her wings and we are in awe when we realize they were there all along. You Raise Me Up would be beautiful.

"Climb Every Mountain" would be a stunning piece for Susan to consider...just think of the words of the song doesn't it reflect Susans story and what she's seeking to achieve right now ? And the inspiration and hope it would provide for the world when all are seeking to have a sense of faith and hope in what they consider to be an uncertain future that no matter what we face somehow someway we're going to overcome it. Climb Every Mountain.

The song from Cats "Memories" would be fitting, or Wind beneath my wings. Does anyone know if Clariisa Dickson Wright ( Famous Scottish author and surviving member of "Two Fat ladies") will attend Britains Got talent show?Susan needs to talk to someone who knows what she's up against- Clarissa is that person.

FoodHistorian - Clarisa Dickson Wright was a hoot as one half of the Two Fat Ladies! Wasn't she a barrister in her former (pre-foodie)life? Yeah, Susan could use solid legal and financial advice from the start. I thought I read somewhere that her family is friendly with Sir David Frost thru some business dealings of her brothers'. Maybe he could connect her with top-notch entertainment business advisors.

I love the sound of music. The hills are alive. Something has been bothering me. I see alot of negative press about her getting a makeover. First of all, it's not like she got plastic surgery or something. 2) show e a woman that if she couldn't look out her window without someone taking her photograph, wouldn't try to spruce herself up.3) I realize she said her dream was to be a singer. If you were watching the same tapes I was, you see another. When someone says, they have never been kissed, that means it is another dream. It is only natural for her to hope to find a soulmate. Nobody wants to be alone. They may fool themselves into resigning to be alone, but that doesn't mean they wanted it to begin with. I have never heard a larger singles ad in my life.! She wants someone to share her life with. Now that the word is out, and millions taking notice, it's her chance. At both stardom, and maybe finding a mate. Of course she is going to step up her game I know I would. Susan you have already one our hearts. whether you win or not on the show, you will have a career! I hope and pray your second dream also comes true! My fingers are crossed. Don't let anybody take advantage of your good personality, or the money you will be making, but don't be so scared that you close off the idea either. This is your time to shine, and you did it marveluosly! ( sorry about spelling) I know you get so many comment you probably will never read this. It's the thoughts, and prayers that count.Remember Ester in the bible? She didn't have all the fine clothes either. Therefore her inner beauty wasn't hidden by the makeup and accessories.. There is a reason for everything. You have sat back meekly all these years ( the meek shall inherit the earth) and your time has come to shine! I couldn't help but wonder when I saw and listened, is that what angels sound like? May only good things happen for you from here on out, and may your heart be filled with love, and may you never feel alone again.( unless you want it0. I hope that guy was watching, and if not, he will be soon. God Bless you. Deidre from Alaska

I would like to hear Susan sing "Tomorrow" from Annie - I think it's something she can connect with. Susan, I hope you get your dream - life hasn't killed it after all - just postponed until now. I certainly hope, win or lose, you cut a CD with "I dreamed a dream" on it. You made me cry because I swear I FELT your connection to that song. Whatever you do sing, knock 'em out again Girl!

Susan appears to be heeding Simon's advice; good for her! Somehow I couldn't imagine her actually GOING to that snooty affair anyhow, not with the BGT semifinals and finals still to come. Fly all the way over to DC, just for that? I mean really, now!

Susan, when you do get around to coming to the States here, we hope you'll stick around awhile, perform in some concerts, enjoy seeing some sights--and continue to forgo 'unusual' invitations such as this one seems to have been.

I forgot one comment - wish there were women's size 3x for the T-shirts; I want one but it has to be one I can actually fit into so I can help spread the word!

I'm in pins and needles waiting in anticipation for Susan to sing in the semi-finals in May 23!!!!

Go Susan Go!

I'd love it if Susan sang "Cry Me A River" next. Not only is her version breathtaking, but it would be fun to watch the audience's reactions. Not to mention the judges'.
Posted by BB on May 10, 2009
Well I think Ssusan could sing the telephone directory and sound amazing but considering how superbly she sang Cry me a River something in that genre would bw wonderful. I think also that passion, tenderness, and heartwrenching quality of her voice would do justice to The first time ever I saw his Face. Personally I just adore everthing you sing Susan, we have such a lot to look forward to hearing from you. I never by CDs of current artists but I will be first in the queue to buy Susan Boyle's. Off to listen to Cry me a River, sublime!!xx

I am so enjoying listening to everyone's suggestions. There are so many excellent songs to choose from. Susan could do a great job with any of them, although I think some are better suited for competition purposes. Right now I'm really liking the way "Somewhere" starts out restrained, then builds to a climax (kind of like "shaa...aaa...aaa...aaa...aame"). That kind of thing tends to bring down the house.

How many more rounds are there? I assume she needs at least 2 or 3 more songs before BGT's through. Maybe she should pick totally different song styles (like I Dreamed A Dream / Cry Me A River / Killing Me Softly / Fields of Athenry) to show she can sing each equally well. I'd just save the show-stopper for the final round.

I really have no business second-guessing on this. Her first round pick was absolutely inspired, both musically and lyrically, and was a song I'd never even heard before (yes, it's true, I am the only person on the planet unfamiliar w/ Les Mis). I'm certain she will Shock and Awe with whatever she picks.

What ever she sings, it will be SHOCKING SWEET! Time to go listen to Cry Me A River...See ya

Won't we be cute at our age camped out at Borders sipping tea while waiting for Susan's first album to go on sale at midnight? Like a bunch of Tweenies waiting for the release of the latest Harry Potter or Twilight book!! Think about it - we have rallied around an unassuming everyday person that we can identify with who happens to have an absolutely remarkable talent. We identify with Susan as if we are living her dream with her as well as she is living our dream for us!!

I would like to hear Ms. Boyle sing "If I never sing another song" or "For mama", as a tribute to her mother who encouraged her to audition. Anyway, whatever song you choose, Ms Susan Boyle, I'm sure it will be another fantastic performance. Good luck to you and thank you for bringing us joy with your music.

It's OBVIOUS: "I Kissed a Girl (And I Liked it)"

No, but seriously... maybe Celine Dion's titanic song, whatever it's called... "my heart will go on" or whatever. Whatever she sings will be perfect, i'm sure.

Would like to hear Susan sing "Beauty and the Beast." With, of course, Susan as the Beauty and Simon Cowell as the Beast! (tongue in cheek)
Posted by Frazier on May 10, 2009
I believe it's Susan's call. She must sing a song she loves best, because I'll love them all. I would like to hear her sing "If You Love Me, Really Love Me" someday, however.

I would like to hear her sing "The Impossible Dream".
Posted by Barsoomian on May 11, 2009
I think "The Impossible Dream" would be very fitting, and it would soar with her voice. Actually, I don't care, I just want to hear her again.

I just heard "wish you were here" from Phantom on the web. Powerful stuff. Are we going to be able to see the performance on regular TV in the States?

Posted by sarcasmic1 on May 12, 2009
I too would love to hear Susan sing Memories from CATS. Hope I get the opportunity to hear her sing it!

I think I agree with a lot on this blog and think the following songs would be great for Susan: Climb Every Mountain, Memories From Cats, You Raise Me Up, the Way We Were but especially Wind Beneath My Wings. But I also think Susan knows best and will pick a song she knows will knock everybody's socks off. :)

DON'T CRY FOR ME, ARGENTINA might be a great song for SUSAN's style. Well, of course she can be good at many, many classic types of songs. I thought of Don't Cry for me Argentina because it is a somewhat MOVING song, like I DREAMED A DREAM. At this early stage of SUSAN's career, a song that's familiar to many and is moving will, I feel, add that appeal to her singing.

Then later on, when she is more established, she can play a collection that will be composed of ear-catching music to a greater mass and music that might appeal only to an exclusive group of music-lovers.
Posted by edwardcullen on May 16, 2009
I think Susan should sing Into The West by Annie Lennox because with her age, she has the right perspective to nail the message of the song. The song is about death and passing and she can relate well with it because of her mother's death.
Posted by johnnycake on May 16, 2009
Memory from Cats comes to my mind first, but other suggestions here are also intriguing. Do you think it might be considered too confrontational for her to nail another Elaine Paige standard? It might be unavoidable as her voice and presentation is so suited to Webber. YourAwesome has a great idea with Climb Every Mountain, and Ave Maria is one of my favorites, although I don't know that it has universal appeal. And Wild Old Dan is right, Susan enriches everyone she touches. Does anyone know when her next appearance on BGT will be broadcast and how a rebroadcast can be found outside the UK on the internet?
Posted by mad_bookworm on May 16, 2009
This whole thing scares me a bit. How on earth can you top what she did with "I Dreamed a Dream?" When you have accomplished something as stellar as Susan already has, that's a pretty hard act to follow.

I'm behind her a million per cent and hope that everything goes perfectly for her, both in the competition and in her career.

I don't usually care for female vocalists; Josh Groban and Andrea Bocelli are my favorite singers - but Susan has a way of reaching out and grabbing you by the heart. Hope that never stops!
Posted by PWattis on May 17, 2009
I agree, mad bookworm, I am nervous about Susan's next appearance on BGT as well. In many ways I wish BGT would have let her out of her contract so she could go on her way and make music that we could buy that would benefit her and also receive her coaching and criticism in private instead of publicly from judges who aren't really that qualified to give it.

That said, however, I think that when she walks out on stage she is going to be given so much adoration from the audience that her adrenaline will kick in and she will nail it.

I do think that the right song choice could be critical. At this point I think she needs to sing very emotionally charged material. I still think Josh Grobin's "To Where you Are" would be good. She could sing it as a tribute to her mother. I think it would blow everyone's socks off.

Many of Josh Groban's songs are beautiful and might lend themselves to a performance by Susan. The one I DON'T want to hear is "You Raise me Up," which he either sang or lip-synched at a memorial services for the astronauts who died aboard the space shuttle Columbia. In my memory it is linked to that tragedy.

I think that Susan has been singing long enough, and successfully enough, that she will instinctively choose and perform the right song - and as someone else has posted, once the energy starts crackling back and forth between her and her audience, there will be no stopping her!

I can hardly wait to buy her first CD!

I believe the 'Impossible Dream' might be a good selection for her next song....

Either 'I,possible Dream' or 'Wind Beneath My Wings'

A powerful song choice would be Aileen Dunn from the soundtrack of the film 'Rob Roy' - it's represents her roots and it could be a huge platform to promote world peace and reunification - so many will be listening, it would a perfect opportunity to send out this global message.
Posted by mdillow31 on May 23, 2009
It has been announced today that Susan will be recording shortly and also will be in Las Vegas singing with her idol Donnie Osmond in about a month. On the newswires today. Way to go Susan. She can choose any song she wants to sing. :)

Climb Every Mountain would be inspiring!
Posted by Bobber2 on May 25, 2009
I agree with the last poster 'Climb Every Mountain' would be a stunning song for Susan to sing....if not in the competition maybe a future CD. A word of encouragement for Susan don't be moved by what people thought or didn't think of your last performance, tomorrow [meaning next Saturday] is the only song that matter now. To the many good fans here something all might consider....lets not be quick to tell her what she should sing....what if she took our advice and for whatever reason after attempting it it just didn't go over well....would you feel good about it that we recommended her to do it and she took our advice....So Sweet Susan you just keep being true to yourself and sing what you know you do best...crossing my fingers with you that all will be well. : )

joan sharnea from a little beach settlment in the north Island New Zealand. Susan you are truly a wonderful person with the voice of a angel. Good luck for the finals we will be waiting to hear you sing again soon. We will not hear you sing until sunday morning but will be up all night waiting for the finals. May the good Lord be with you and look after you always. Don't change we love you as you are

Statements From People Around The World :No doubt about it though, Susan Boyle did win. As we all know, winning this kind of show really means nothing- we'll never hear of Diversity again (besides maybe a quick clip on the news when they perform for the Queen.) However, within the year Susan Boyle CD's will be flying off the shelves. In many ways this was probably the best for her- a perfect performance despite the pressure, and the chance to duck out of the media spotlight for awhile while still securing a future in the business that she's always dreamed of breaking in to.
