Oh no.

I hope Kingdom Hollywood does not put their slimy hands all over this precious work of art, tarnishing a rare jewel able to shine joy light on the part of the human spirit so difficult to reach.

Please Susan, don't listen to the ladies on ABC's The View....you do not need a Kingdom Hollywood make-over, you are already a perfect gem.

Susan Boyle! You are soooooo gifted with a very beautiful soprano voice that you can move mountains and launch a thousand ships with your singing!! We are of the same age, I am also 47, and you give so much courage and inspiration to people of our generation who must now be thinking that life is just beginning. Dream the dream, woman, and wow 'em all with your God-given voice! I am so particularly touched when you said that you are drawing your strength from your mother who must be so proud of you now! Count me in as one of your instant fans who will be following your journey to stardom from now on.

Dear Susan,

First of all I like to say God bless you. I am completely blown out of my mind. You are a gift from God for all of us to enjoy. Remember all those days you thought only the birds could hear you sing? God was listening.

Seeing the wave of web and television coverage about Susan Boyle clearly is a remarkable testimant to the fact perfection and beauty come from such a deeper place than the surface. Susan Boyle and Neal E. Boyd (who won last year's America's Got Talent) just exemplify what real god-given talent is and how beautiful their talent makes them!!

About all she would "need" for a "makeover" is a haircut and a dress that fits properly. (I'm thinking something that wouldn't look out of place on Queen Elizabeth for style.) My hair is almost EXACTLY like hers, so I know how much a nice cut would do. Just something tidy. Her voice is FABULOUS.

I think Susan Boyle is a beautiful angel, with an exquisite singing voice.

I think the t-shirts being sold with the word "ugly" on them are offensive.

I love this! Susan came out on stage without any fancy dress, etc., and the judges (and audience) were openly skeptical about her. I didn't know she would be this good, but after her witty comment to Simon and that saucy shake of her hips, I liked her for her spunky personality! Once she began to sing, though, is when I KNEW she has an INCREDIBLE gift for a voice, and I hope she goes ALL THE WAY TO WIN this talent contest! Susan, you have TONS of FANS here in the U.S., and we are behind you 100%....You are WONDERFUL!!!

Wow!this woman just transcends what it means to be a child of God. We are not made perfect but asked by God to try and be perfect just as he is. Oftentimes, some overthinks what it is that God is trying to say and just brings out ugliness, but Susan Boyle understands,- before she took the stage she admitted that she is not the best good-looking but a beautiful child of God whom he had deposited beautiful things within. I can almost make a bet that there were some so called true christians, muslims and other faiths in that audience, some of whom had given up on Susan before she even started. To them she just wasn't perfect, but I am glad Susan proved them wrong by sharing the art or music God had blessed her with. Like some asked "why did she wait all this long," but I believe that she was trying to perfect the gift that God ahd given to her and she came forth with confidence knowing it was time for the gift to shine. You could tell by her attitude she has always beleived in a higher authority who did not judge her and lucky to hav

I really liked the look on simon's face when she started singing lol! A tremendous wak-up call for him that's for sure! Her voice (like so many other i'm sure) has indeed moved me and i foresee a very great future for this individual. An indeed magnificent performance!

I do not think that I have given up my life and I am sure that is not the way that you looked at it either. Now is your time and please use that God given talent wisely, don't let the Hollywood types get a hold of you. Please make a cd with Cry Me A River on it and release it in Canada. I will continue to follow you every step of the way. Will be watching for you.

Please! Will somebody else besides me post something about what's out there today about Piers Morgan asking Susan out for dinner date! It's really quite lovely when you watch his video. You can see it at http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WGo5LkL2E90 (Search with: Piers' Sensational Offer To Susan Boyle or at his web page at http://www.officialpiersmorgan.com/ This is not a joke of any kind, I'm just getting frustrated that nobody except 333 people watching over at YouTube, a few bloggers at Huffington Post and me are the only ones that know about this!

It goes to show the world that beauty is a through and through in a person and not just on the skin. Look At Roy Oberson, he was not beautiful or the leading man type, but he could sing. Susan may never have been kissed by one person, but she has been loved by the Whole World.

Susan's reach to the global community is astounding. She is a bright spirit, with an authenticity worth admiring. Nothing would please me more than to have her evolve in this experience while keeping her core authenticity intact. Any girl would love a new hair style or natural makeup refurbishment, but why bother changing anything else? As an unemployed person, I look at her example and think I may be able to move forward. Susan, you're a beautiful being!

Susan is on her way to the top with a beautiful voice. I hope she will be be happy the rest of her life. We are so thankful she was discovered.
Posted by bluemanxcat on April 17, 2009
Susan, you are a wonderful, beautiful human being. Too often, talent is overlooked because we are so obsessed with how a person looks and don't even consider them unless they are a hollywood bombshell. This is a tragedy because the music these people could bring into the world is shut out. You have broken through and shown everyone that it's the music that's important. God bless you, Susan!

Susan you are a beautiful soul, your voice mesmerizes me, you will indeed fulfill your dream. The perfect song for you to sing was I dreamed a dream. Stunning, brilliant, corageous,outstanding-there just aren't enough words to describe this beautiful soul. You have touched the whole world Susan.

As an older guy I am not given to excessive emotions for music. I must admit that Susan Boyle's performance on BGT changed that. It only happens once a decade for me. She is now in my stratosphere along with Betty Buckley doing Memories in Cats and Idina Menzel doing Defying Gravity in Wicked and now Susan Boyle. What a relief to know that music can still move.

I am so looking forward to seeing Susan appear on these programmes. There have been other stars discovered in recent times, but none have grabbed my attention the way Susan has. I am continually scouring the net for any new snippet of information about her and her first CD cannot come soon enough as far as I am concerned. How I wish she was computer savvy and could see the huge impact she is having on the entire world for herself. Again and again I am moved to tears watching her performance on BGT. Susan has taught us all that it's never too late to follow your dreams, that no obstacle is insurmountable. She is truly an inspiration. From the bottom of my heart I wish her well. God bless you and take care of you Susan. You are so precious.

Susan Boyle is an amazingly gifted singer, and I am very happy that the world has finally discovered her. I have already written and published two posts about her on my popular site, CONSERVATIVE WORDSMITH.COM. (See my Profile for more information.) Thank you, Susan Boyle, for encouraging so many people who have hidden their talents. You are an inspiration to all of them. I am certain that they, just like yourself, long to share their gifts with an unsuspecting world. How refreshing it is to see a real person, (as opposed to a superficial person), burst upon the music scene, and the world, with such tremendous and uplifting power.

My partner and I are here in Buenos Aires on a tango holiday from NZ, and in the middle of the night when our body clocks denied us sleep we received a link from a friend and then watched the performance of Susan. I have never been so emotionally overwhelmed by a performance in my life. We sat in stunned amazement, as this never kissed unemployed woman from the other side of the globe became a star, a woman who dared to dream a dream. Magnificent!1 Robert and Frances

Posted by ChisRuth on April 17, 2009. For those U.S. folks who have caught the wave of this amazing lady, Susan Boyle; here are a couple of comparisons to which older Americans can relate. When the lead-in to her song had ended and Susan’s golden tones rang out over the audience, it was like the first time I heard Jim Nabors (Gomer Pyle) sing. Another analogy would be listening to Frank Fontaine (Crazy Guggenhein) who sing on the Jackie Gleason Show. You just do not expect such an extraordinary voice from the person you are watching. The quality of her voice takes your breath away and it certainly humbled the judges and the audience who had pre-judged her based on appearance. Her plucky spirit and pleasant nature will, I am sure, add to the way she has charmed people around the world. God’s speed to a wonderful and rewarding future Susan. The whole world is cheering!

Hi Susan, Hopefully you will read this someday. My name is Chris and I live in Los Angeles, CA. You story has been featured on the local new stations here in LA for a couple of nights. They showed a few snippets of your performance on BGT and I was impressed. I didn't do much about it since I've been suffering a serious case of the flu and was sick in bed for the last three days. Today, I'm feeling slightly human and decided to check my email, ebay activies and general online stuff. Yahoo.com had a link to your Cry Me A River recording from 99. I played that and was blown away. I then proceeded to Youtube.com to see the whole thing. I wanted to let you know (as I'm sure a million others are doing) how your performanced moved me. I came to tears (I'm a guy and that normally doesn't happen..I blame it on the strong antibiotics). I wanted to tell you how special your voice (an person are as you seem to be the sweetest, nicest person on the planet) is to me...personally. I wish I could have been there that night. What a treat. I wish you luck in this next chapter in your life and I also hope that you stay grounded and true to yourself. Living in Los Angeles, I see the descruction that fame and fortune can bring on folks who are famous.

As I'm sure you will become wealthy from all this. I ask you to consider finding a "cause" to support. My vote is on minimizing global warming.

I'm off my soapbox now and crawling back into bed for my bit of recovery from the flu.

Again, good luck to you and all those you come in contact with.

Pay it forward,

Chris

I heard her single recording..Cry me a River..that was released in 1999 together with other talent for charity I believe..Wow is all I could say..and i am not a fan of that style of music.. but now I am...wow..what a God given talent...hugs susan

My love to you Susan, now go out there and "break a leg" (that is an old showbiz term for those of you who do not know)

Susan: You are amazing. God bless your talent and you as an unigue individual. As I watch with tears in my eyes you make me remember my mom. It's not for her singing ability but for her, the person, and her ability to believe in herself. I thank you for bringing those memories of her back to me. You have those exact traits. As a child I was embarrassed of her plainness and her age (being older than all my friend's moms). As I aged and became wiser I realized that she was the best mom I could have ever had and I was truly blessed by God. You bring to all of us a freshness of thought. We are not here to judge by appearances but by inner beauty. You not only have a wonderful talent but I specialness that I haven't seen in a long time. I'm on your side and I will pray each night that you continue to explore the wonderfulness you possess. I tell my grand-daughter that it's the beauty on the inside that counts and you've got it all. I'm so anxious to hear the next song and the next and the next. Thank you from the bottom of this Wisconsin heart.

I was troubled by the way Simon Cowell rolled his eyes when Susan told him that she was 47 (as if he was implying that she was way over the hill), so I decided to investigate a little....people, it turns out that Simon Cowell is actually two years OLDER than Susan - yes, he'll turn 50 this year!!

I also decided to see what are some of the other famous people born the same year as Susan - how about Princess Diana, Barack Obama, George Clooney, Meg Ryan, Michael J. Fox, Enya?! Hardly the kind of people you would describe as "old", would you?! And here are some people actually OLDER than Susan: Sarah Brightman, Colin Firth, Nigella Lawson, Andie MacDowell, Viggo Mortensen, Madonnna, Michelle Pfeiffer and Sharon Stone! Hardly what you'd call a collection of "old folks", huh?! :-) No, this ridiculous obsession with age simply has to cease - I say, enough already!

Susan, your rendition of Cry me a River is unbelievable. I truly hope you have a CD out soon with that song and the one you sang on Britain's Got Talent. I will be purchasing it as soon as it is available. Please downplay the makeover. All of the women in my life who I have dearly loved have not been glamour goddesses and surprise surprise their appearance has meant less than nothing to me. It might be fun from your end to experiment with different 'looks', but your unpretentious nature and incredible talent are what make you stand out. Bravo!!

Susan you are beautiful and I cannot watch your video without crying. I am so happy to see you following your dreams and i wish you so much luck in your journey. Your Mom is looking down and is so proud of you. You are beautiful and courageous and talented and humble and a lesson to everyone who stands in judgement of others before giving them a chance! Best wishes to you and God bless you. You go girl!!

I showed the video clip of Susan performing to one of my classes today, and they were totally blown away by the whole experience. The room was completely silent watching it from start to finish! It was amazing to hear the kids' reactions afterward--they got the message right away about what it means to be a truly beautiful person. It was a wonderful teaching moment for all of us!!!

To one of the most beautiful angels on our planet. It is an honour and a privilege to hear your gifted melodic voice and superb interpretation/rendition that enhance each song you sing. You truly have a voice that is a genetic gift from heaven and your presentation a true reflection of your lovely inner spirit and your ability to project and tell a story through your song. How the world longs for heaven to comfort it and does so by sending messangers as yourself. Susan, you touch the world in a way that is hard to describe in words. I believe that is why so many people get goose-bumps and teary eyes when you sing and perform. It takes them to a place that sometimes seems to have been forgotten but you take us back there again - beauty within simplicity, grace within humbleness, and strength within courage. It touches the spirit, soul and mind together. Your positive attitude along with your graceous and witty sense of humour is the added perfect touch to your specialness. I too am a singer from a very early age and like youself, alway wanting to sing even when others thought I should be choosing something else in life. However, it was my mother who was intrumental in my quest, giving me opportunities in the arts that, for some reason, did not included singing at in those early times. I've practiced in my bedroom to every record/tape from musical theatre to movie themes et all including all forms of medium from light opera to jazz. As time went by, it was also my gift of voice that won out. Eventually, I took a couple years of singing to learn how to breath properly and that opened the doorway to help me gain conficence. I would get so nervous that my tongue would stick to the top of my mouth before a performance and those were few in the beginning. I know your mother will be with you as you embark on your adventure and continue your lifes journey. My mother is now in care with alzheimer's, thank goodness my father has a pace maker and can still manage to see her frequently and my husband has contacted a recent disease of Lewy-Body denentia with Parkinson's. Evenso, I must still find ways to be thankful for the breath of life and singing is my medicine and comfort eventhough my singing journey has staggered for the moment while being a caregiver as you were for your mom. My dear friend, you have one up on me as you are accomplishing your wonderful dream come true and I am still dreaming of that day to come.

Perhaps it has already been mentioned. Susan Boyle is about to be on larry King in just a few minutes! And she'll sing a song from Titanic. As I heard a pre-released part of her performance, I had to think she was singing to her mother's spirit. Phenomenal.

Susan, I heard you singing a capella and also heard Piers Morgan formally invite you to dinner with him and so glad you accepted. What made me feel emotional also was a quote that "I won't be lonely now." You looked really good Susan and that's how you should stay...be who you are, not what others think you should be. I'm so looking forward to seeing you on Oprah. I'd like to see you with someone trustworthy as in a manager, someone with your personal interests at heart and to see you do a world tour or wherever you're asked to go. Susan, you're absolutely remarkable!!

Susan, I just want to say that, girl, YOU ARE BEAUTIFUL. I do not watch American Idol, or TV for that matter...but I hope that you do not let people change you into the typical woman. You ARE beauty - changing would make you someone else's pretty, and pretty and beautiful carry two separate meanings. I hope that you are happy with yourself, not only because there are millions of people who are very happy with you, as well, but because you eject a certain truth from your lips, your eyes, and your body - your entire self. Good luck with all that comes next, and I wish you happiness from the deepest part of myself. Thank you for sharing your gift with all of us.

Susan, you have moved me a lot. Your singing was espectacular, it left me speechless and with my eyes wet. I admire how you set yourself to reach your dreams and go and sing like no one else has ever done; and showing people how ridiculous it is to judge a book by its cover. They thought you were nothing new, and you did such a stunning, extraordinary performance. Your voice is a gift, don't waste it. I hope all the dreams that you have dreamed come true, and your true love will be soon to come, such a wonderful woman deserves a very good man. Best luck of all, From Florida, United States.

Looks like with the 100 or so comments you have received so far that almost everyone is in total agreement you are GREAT. Please do not change for anyone. No matter what anyone says your gift is from God and He does not make any mistakes. The package was made to carry the gift. Remember humans look on the outside but God looks within. It was time to get peoples attention and drive that point home. You are so humble, I pray that you will remain strong and sing so we can all enjoy more of your God given talent. Be safe as you start your traveling and keep that sense of humor sharp.

This evening Susan Boyle was on Larry King. And also Piers Morgan one of the 3 Judges on Britain's Got Talent was also a guest. Piers hasinvited Susan out to Dinner and she accepted. Simon Cowell is in the USA and probably trying to organize a record contract for her.

I hope & pray Susan will get to Live Her Dream as she deserve all the applause that will be coming her way.

She has a beautiful voice that needs to be heard... I can't wait to buy her First CD. Her Mother would be so Proud of her Daughter to be sure..

Susan, I just watched your Larry King interview and was privileged to hear you sing a bit of 'My Heart Will Go On' a capella--I can scarcely wait to hear you sing again on Britain's Got Talent, even if I do have to look for your performances on YouTube clips since BGT isn't broadcast in the US. You and your wonderful talent have totally rocked my world! Now I have learned you are to appear on Oprah's show, so will be anxiously awaiting that, as I understand you are to sing on her show--is that correct? I, Like everyone else here in this fan club, am on pins and needles as to when you'll be able to record a CD and get it out to your public so that we can purchase it to enjoy over and over again. But I am glad to hear you mention in your interviews that you are taking 'baby steps' towards arranging your musical career. Please, whatever you do--watch out for those who would take unfair advantage, such as folks on eBay and other places now selling merchandise with your name on it, even mp3s of your 'Cry Me a River' from the Millennium Celebration CD you participated in back in 1999. And, it wouldn't be a bad idea to watch out for that Piers Morgan--make sure he behaves himself and treats you like a real lady, on that 'dinner date' he spoke of! I hope all good things will come your way now and that we who have come to admire you so can look forward to hearing much more from you in the future. One thing for sure--you don't need to 'change' or 'make yourself over'--for anyone. Must sign myself 'still gobsmacked (LOVE that word!) here in Texas'! God bless you, and take care. :-)

She's got a fantastic voice and yes, she is a refreshing change from the norm you get on these shows. She brings hope to those that are either or a combination of any of the following: overweight, ordinary looks, bullied, rejected, women who are in her age category and finally those that have learning disabilities. I hope success and fame does not change her and that she remains true to herself.

Susan!!! I want to thank you so much! I've watched the video a few dozen times at this point - each time it brings me to tears. Not only do you have an absolutely INCREDIBLE voice, but your story is such a human one.

I love Les Miserables, such a gorgeous story. But when you sang "I dreamed a dream" it wasn't the lyrics or your ability that was so incredibly moving -

Never been kissed, never been married, after having taken care of both of your elderly parents, and eventually losing them. Being made fun of when you were young, and still to this day being treated unfairly.. for what reasons I have no idea... it sounds like you've taken care of everyone but Susan Boyle for all these years.

When you sang we all realized that it was for you - I think your performance was so powerful, because no one could sing a song like that, the way you did, so incredibly, without having a profound understanding of what that song is truly saying. And a deep emotional connection with it's message.

SO KUDDOS TO YOU!!!!!!

While life maybe difficult and unfair at times, there is always hope and love!

Welcome to the rest of you life Susan Boyle! It's about time you have a chance to do what it is you love, and it's a terrible shame more people didn't appreciate it sooner, but in return you've taught people a great deal about humility, passion, and hope in the process.

You should be incredibly proud!!!

xxxxxxx

Dear Susan, I hope that you are able to find the time to read all of the kind comments that people have been putting on here about you. It is sad that it has taken such a long time for people to realize how beautiful you are - a gift like yours has a beauty that goes far deeper and way beyond what most people can see. I think that the best way it has been described so far is " in such a time of recession and sadness, she has touched so many people accross the world, bring smiles, tears of joy." I too lost my mother last year, and when I heard you sing the other night for the first time, for some reason it made me feel peaceful - that may sound odd, but I can't explain it, I'm sure there are others out there who felt the same as many have said you have the voice of an angel. I know one song that I would absolutely love to hear you sing would be Amazing Graze. I cannot beging to imagine how beautiful it would sound. Say hello to the Queen for me when you have your cup of tea with her. hugs

Susan please do not change who you are. You are a beautiful gift from God who sings like an Angel. So many change once they achieve success. I ask you not to do that please. Keep what God has given you and be an inspiration to us all. My wife and I cannot stop watching your video. I have never had anything or anyone capture my ears and heart like you have. Not just because of how you sing but who you are. God Bless you Susan and we are rooting for you all the way

Needless to say, I was blown away, and found myself fighting the tears in awe of her performance (tough to say for such a macho guy as I). I've seen comments about her needing a makeover and something done about her eyebrows. If Susan really wants to have her looks changed, fine. But, I found her to be a real, genuine and believable person. Her less than stylish looks augments this. I find this to be part of her down-home charm. Let her be who she is! If you don't like what you see, just close your eyes and let your ears and heart take in this incredible talent.

Dear Susan- I was blown away by your performance last week and read that you had dedicated it to your mother. I was so touched by that, and it inspired me to call my own mother to talk. Our family has been through some dark times lately but my mother and I talked for over an hour about your performance. It was the first uplifting and positive conversation we've been able to have together in months. What a gift you have given all of us. For me, the album can't come fast enough. I am already sold. I hope the experience brings you nothing but happiness and success. Thank you for your guts, determination, and such a genuinely pure talent. And as Amanda said it is an absolute privilege to hear you sing. Thank you again for sharing your gift. We are all rooting for you!

My New Hero, Susan Boyle, has shown to the world that with determination anyone, at any stage in their life, can achieve their dreams. She walked confidently on to that stage, knowing full well what the audiences first reaction to her would be. She heard the laughter. She knew that the full weight of her life was to be measured out with the first words she sang. Susan stood up to the bullies and was rewarded with the reward of a truly kind and giving person, the recognition of her talent. Susan showed the world that talent comes in all shapes, sizes, and ages. It comes from the furthest corners of our planet, and when it is "discovered" in a manner such as this it brings hope and a renewed spirit of determination in ALL aspiring Indie Artists everywhere. Well done, Susan! We older and not so pretty folks with Dreams say "G'donya Luv"!

"Without our fully realizing it, flowers would become for us an expression in form of that which is most high, most sacred and ultimately formless within our selves. Flowers, more fleeting, more ethereal, and more delicate than the plants out of which they emerged, would become like messengers from another realm, like a bridge between the world of physical forms and the formless." Eckhart Tolle-"A New Earth" Susan is indeed a human flower, thank you for Being.

I have never before commented on, voted for or in any way interacted with "stars" or talent. It is not very likely I ever will again. Susan Boyle has mass star appeal because we each would like to think we have a unique or special quality that makes us individually exceptional. Of course, I don't worry about hearing Miss Boyle again - Many ANGELS in Heaven sing equally as well.

Susan! You are an inspiration to all normal folk! We've been fed a diet of Hollywood-style superficial "beauty" far too long - I think it's not just your amazing voice that has excited us all, but also the beauty of your smile and sincerity in your eyes that has moved so many people to want to talk about you. Your performance moved me to tears and made me want to jump for joy! PLEASE don't let the Simon Cowells of this world persuade you to undergo any makeovers. You are beautiful as you are ( the only thing I would suggest, if I may, is a visit to the hairdresser's). Please sing some more for us, and may God protect you from the media circus. My family and I will follow your journey and enjoy your success with you from afar! Warmest wishes from Patrick Beacom in Sliema, Malta.

My Dearest Susan, I do believe it's alright to call you Susan. I am a 74 year woman in the US. A few nights ago I was reading "Winds of War" a rather dry book with the Tv tuned to Anderson Cooper when I heard your voice, I leapt out of my chair and landed in front of the TV. "Yes,I can still do that."What a beautiful voice and such a lovely lady. You are just a little feisty and perhaps a bit of a Tiger as Simon suggested. I watch your video eveyday and I get goose bumps every time. I know you are on your way to great fame and I will follow your career.

"the full weight of her life was to be measured out with the first words she sang"... Wow, NanaMex nailed it Susan. You gave the appearance of full knowledge that this was your assessment as so wonderfully described in this forum by NanaMex on 18 April in her comment above. I loved the litle all knowing smile you gave only a second before you began to sing on BGT. That moment to me is best described in those words by NanaMex. It was as if you knew ahead of time how much your life would change although I seriously doubt you had a full appreciation for the magnitude of change your performance would generate world wide at that moment. I saw your answer about how you felt at the moment you were singing and realized that you had totally captivated your audience. You said something in the interview like: "you just go on, you have to". I am concerned, like so many others, about how success may change you forever but your life is not ours to live. It is yours. May God make all the changes you desire and none you wish to avoid and may all be for the better. Be carefull in this exciting and electric time to not spread yourself too thin with so many personal appearances. Insure that you have some quiet time to yourself as needed so that the transition to your new life is not so fast and furious as to be more stressful than you are prepared to accept. Your talent will be there for a long, long time. You don't have to sing for everyone who approaches you with a microphone. Best wishes.

I am anxiously waiting to hear her next song. I would like to hear her sing 'Memories' from the play 'Cats' , 'The Way We Were' that Barbara Streisand made popular, and 'Unforgetable' that Nat King Cole made poular and his daughter sang in memory of him. Susan has the Moxie that can do it. She has the passion to sing and the smile that will win over even the most gruff of humanity. She is real and genuine. She has nothing to hide and is not ashamed of not being galamorous. What blessing on humanity.

I literally had tears in my eyes when I heard this song sung by Susan. My boss told me about her performance and I was VERY reluctant thinking this was one of those "Ya right" moments! Was I ever surprised. I hope she wins the contest as I have heard her sing on Larry King Live and believe she can sing most anything. GOD has really given her a GREAT talent and MUST SHOW ALL OF US that we are ALL blessed by this beautiful voice and person as she definately has GOD within her. BRAVO to you Susan for having the courage to share your wonderful talent with the rest of us VERY OFF KEY singers. My prayers are with you all the way.

Susan Boyle, imo, is the 'genuine article'. I'll be waiting to see her appear on the Oprah Winfrey Show. I am praying that people don't start capitalizing on her for their own self gain. Oprah is cool, and I know she would only want the best for Susan Boyle.

I can't wait to watch with the rest of the world as your dream becomes a realization that you so deserve. You are an inspiration to all of us!

Susan you area absolutly wonderfull, you sing like an angel and I love your personality. I am older than you, but let me tell you that there is nothing wrong with fixing your appearance a little bit. You will be more beautifull if you have a hair cut, backwards and dive it with a nice brown color, have your eyebrows done, loose a litle weight, buy some nice more modern clothes and you will see how you feel a lot more secure and happy. There is never too late to look better, Your voice is fantastic I cry of emotion every time a I listen to you, but really if you change your appearence a litlle bit, you will feel complete. AS I said before, there is nothing wrong with trying to look prettier, and I am sure you will look a lot better without having an extreme change, just a little help and you will feel more wonderfull not only inside but also outside. Let the magic of beauty saloons got into you. I promise more than one man will be loving you not only for your talent and your personality, but also for your appearence. You are great, please keep going, you are already a WINNER. God bless you.

Susan - I'm writing from Maryland, USA and my family was absolutely floored when we heard you sing! We didn't know how you could have kept your light under a bushel for so long. How have you not been discovered? The only change I would like to see for you is all the respect, recognition and success that you can bear. I've never seen someone more deserving. You are definitely on your way. We will all be watching and cheering you on and later, I am sure, we will be buying albums. Congrats to you from across the pond.

Dear Susan – I can only hope that, somehow, amongst the thousands, this letter will find its way to you. I’m not tech-savvy enough to know how to post online an open letter to you directly, but I trust the universe and God, that, if it is meant to be, then someone out there will see to it that you read these words. Your impact on this world has been far larger than you know. You have changed the lives of millions around the world. Those changes may appear on the surface to be subtle changes (those lessons in pre-judgment), but any change for the better is actually quite phenomenal and in this case, that small change in the lives of millions is one that will carry farther than you can ever imagine or know. The slight change in thinking amongst those millions will spread like ripples in the water to everyone they interact with, and then ripples will spread from those people to everyone they interact with…and from there into eternity. The ripples that you created will be felt throughout all generations. (It’s a great lesson to all of us that what we do and how we act right now today has a much greater impact than we know.) God has used you and your life to work miracles. You may think simply that you have worked a miracle in your own life, but, Susan Boyle, you have worked miracles in the world! I pray earnestly with all my heart that each and every one of your dreams comes true. We often find (sometimes a bit later in life) that what truly brings the greatest happiness of all is finally learning your own value, your own worth, finally feeling and KNOWING that you are loved deeply by God and at last learning to love yourself exactly as you are. Your song, your voice is incredible. It moved millions to tears. But you must learn and know that it’s not just your beautiful voice that makes you so worthy. You are worthy because you are YOU, because you are a precious child of God. Please stop judging yourself for the things you haven’t achieved yet. You were valuable beyond words before that wonderful night on Britain’s Got Talent. You just didn’t realize it. You couldn’t see it because you were remembering the bullying and telling yourself (and the world) about what you didn’t have rather than about what you did have. Recognize and appreciate the love that already exists in your life and the love that exists in your life will grow. The very deep love from the two ladies in the audience (relatives?) was apparent. It was deep, true, unconditional and all-encompassing. I never heard either of them speak a word, but no words were necessary - it was written all over their faces - they truly wanted for you exactly what you wanted for yourself. They were barely able to breathe at first, so great was their hope that all would go well for you. That is love. Please know that the bullies who teased you so mercilessly did so because they had not yet learned their own value and worth. Their own deep insecurities caused them to attempt to establish some semblance of self-worth and power by trying to make you feel somehow “less” and therefore making themselves feel “more”. In doing so, they clearly caused you great pain. I send you love and pray that you choose now to transform the pain of those difficult times by recognizing simply that their bullying was actually a Call for Love. Pray that those former tormentors find (or recognize) that love for which they call, that they find the ability to love themselves and to know that they are worthy, and that they, too, are precious children of God, valuable beyond measure. People that already know this have no need to torment others. While they may have tricked you into believing that they were right, that you were “less” and they were “more”, in truth, you had much more than they at the time. Recognize this and forgive them. Love them any way. Free yourself from the pain by loving them. Doing so will transform the pain into great peace and happiness. Forgiveness is always the answer and Love truly does conquer all. Love any way. Love Always. Never ever let the emotion you felt that night leave you! You didn’t just rock the audience, Susan – you rocked the world! In time, some may forget the message that you have taught (at least consciously), but the seeds of change in them were firmly planted and will continue to grow in them. In turn, all who interact with them will have seeds planted by them. God trusted in you, knew that you were strong and able, and through you, planted the seeds of change that He desired in the world. You are beautiful, Susan. And you have made the world a more beautiful, more loving place from now through eternity because of the ripples that YOU created. You are a testimony to the power of belief. And I KNOW your Mom and Dad are beaming with pride! You captured the hearts of everyone. You were put on this earth not simply to sing but to TEACH. And teach, you have, Susan Boyle! Thank you and God Bless You! With much love, Sally Sellett Phoenix, AZ

Hi Susan,

I cannot even begin to tell you what happened to me when you opened your mouth to sing. It was one of the most beautiful things I have ever heard. Mostly, I just loved the looks on everyones face in disbelief. You truly are an inspiration to alot of people. I have played your video over and over. I cry everytime. There is something angelic to you and I am glad that I got a chance to witness your audition. No doubt you are going places my dear and you deserve it all. Don't change one thing about your wonderful self, we all love you just as you are. From someone you touched all the way in New York.

All the best, Sharon

I was on the Oprah website and there are grumblings from the viewers regarding some degrading "Susan needs a make-over" comments by Ali and Oprah. Well, viewers were not happy with that judgmental panel on Oprah's Fridays Live show. If Ms. Boyle decides to go on her show, I hope she will stand her ground and come as she is, showing her inner beauty, great talent and whit.

It truly saddens me that what could have been a long-standing musical career was hindered by looks and circumstances. I am, indeed, thrilled that with true talent, you time has come and I predict you will go beyond the "15 minutes of fame". I suspect her majesty knows of you by now, and even if you don't win the competition, you'll be having a lovely chat with the queen!

Hi Susan, I can't get enough of seeing your amazing video. I cry tears of joy every time I watch and hear your beautiful voice. I guess maybe it's been that I was picked on during most of my growing up years; I was never good enough for anything, and to this day, I still lack total confidence in myself to do anything successful- even on the smallest scale - (I am 52 and still trying to figure out what to do with my life.!) I am soooooo happy tha you have been given this wonderful chance to showcase your fabulous talent. You have worked hard at it and deserve everything wonderful in life!! I love your smile and sense of humor! When I was a kid, my parents hired a sitter for us when they went out of town, and she was from Scotland - and she was without doubt the best sitter that any kid could ever ask for - sooooo funny!!! My family Doctor I have now, (for 27 years), comes from Scotland, and he is terrific! I love the scottish accent! I look forward to hearing your beautiful voice again and to purchase whatever cd's you make. I am so glad that you had the support of your mother for your singing career, and obviously a terrific voice coach! I wish I could meet you in person. I wish you all the best! Take care.

Nelson Mandela quoted Marianne Williamson in his famous inaugural speech in South Africa in 1994:

"Our deepest fear is not that we are inadequate, Our deepest fear is that, we are powerful beyond measure. It is our light, not our darkness, that most frightens us We ask ourselves “Who am I to be brilliant, gorgeous, talented and fabulous?” Actually, who are you not to be? You are a child of God Your playing small doesn’t serve the world There’s nothing enlightened about shrinking so that other people won’t feel insecure around you We are born to make manifest the glory of God that is within us It is not just in some of us, it is in everyone And as we let our own light shine, we unconsciously give other people permission to do the same As we are liberated from our own fear, our presence automatically liberates others.”

Perhaps this is the secret that Susan Boyle has conquered and that makes her touch our souls so deeply. Her voice is exquisite undoubtedly but it's not the only thing about her. I believe she truly owns who she is and has learnt to trust and know her light and is therefore not afraid to let it shine for all to see her!!!
