Susan Boyle Sings 'My Heart Will Go On' for CNN's Larry King
Posted by SBFII Admin on April 18, 2009

Susan Boyle appeared on 'Larry King Live' last night where she sang 'My Heart Will Go On' by Celine Dion.

"Amazing, That was just absolutely stunning," said "Britain's Got Talent" judge Piers Morgan, who was also a guest. "To sing that with no musical backing is unbelievable. You have the voice of an angel, Susan."

Dear Susan, Please come to Australia as soon as you can. Specifically to the Joan Sutherland Performing Arts Centre at Penrith so us Western Sydney folk don't have to crowd into the Sydney Opera House. I will bring a crowd of friends to hear you sing...we love you and want to see you please.

Susan, I can hardly wait to hear you sing 'My Heart Can Go On' in its entirety, if you decide to perform it on Britain's Got Talent. It's lovely to see you being interviewed by Larry King, and looking so delighted! Thank you a million times over, for bringing such happiness into my otherwise drab little life. What I wouldn't give, to see you perform in a full-length live concert over here in Texas one day!

I have watched the youtube video a dozen times and have also been brought to tears listening to you sing I Dreamed a Dream from Les Mis; which is my absolutely favorite musical - having seen it about a dozen times, too. The song is so beautiful and sad; but, it now has new meaning for me as I simply know that your dream has come true and that you will be a very successful professional singer from now on. You have the voice of an angel and a heart of gold, too. I also took care of both of my parents as I married somewhat late at age 35 and never had children and so I was selected to take care of them as my brother and two sisters have children. But, it was what I loved to do and what I did well. They are both gone now and I know that your parents are looking at you now and smiling really big. I know they are very proud of you. I can't wait to hear you sing again. I'm sure you can sing anything well. How in the world could you have gone unnoticed for so long? It's a mystery to me. I'm in Michigan where the unemployment rate is 12.6% and you have been the talk of the town and have made a lot of us very happy. Please come to the Detroit Opera House or the Fox Theatre and perform. You will be welcomed with open arms and a grateful heart.

Susan, among other things, you have aroused interest in 'Les Miserables'. I am also thrilled that this is yet another -stunning- example of how every one of us needs the opportunity to achieve and live at our full potential. That we ALL benefit. With you, it is the beautiful voice so many of us now love. (How lucky the folks in your church and town have been:)

Major kudos to UK for TWO excellent artists from your 'Idol'. Wonderful to find out how well Paul Potts has done since winning. You clearly can take this in stride (one of the really impressive aspects of that performance was that the audience reaction didn't throw you off a single note). I can only hope this helps America realize President Obama is absolutely right about bringing the arts back to public education here.

Thank you! I will be waiting for the competition, and the CD.

Susan you said you wanted to fufill a dream your Mother had for you, I beleive you have by showing the world a realistic, true, pure and wholesome side of humanity. Vainity has become the most important survival method to people all over the world, so much so that they have forgotten the true meaning of beauty and therefore often fail to see it right in front of them (most can't see past a mirror) You said no one has given you the chance to become a professional singer, Susan you have always had that angelic voice and needed no ones approval to use it. Now that the world has heard you, they will want what you have, it is yours, keep yourself as you are change nothing. Your beauty is absolute and cannot be bought or dupilcated, use caution as this journey begins for you (if you choose it to)and remember you are still Susan Boyle from the village, never kissed, who sings like no other. That is yours and only yours. God Bless you Be safe and Thank-you Susan for the previlage to hear you sing, you gave the entire world a gift when you shared your voice.

Susan priorities until now were looking after her aging mother, she put her whole life on hold for that and this is her reward from God for doing just that. That's why she is not married, etc. I only wish her mother could have lived to see this, perhaps she's watching from above. I feel so happy talking about Susan and hearing about Susan instead of all the riff-raff we have had to listen to stuff about...the Britneys of the world, etc. This is so refreshing. There is no negative to be found. Thank you Susan. You are music to my ears.

Susan where have you been hiding, you sing like an Angel
Posted by Elayne on April 18, 2009
Dear Susan, I am in total agreement with all! Everytime I hear you sing,I am moved to tears. Your story fills me with such hope! I am a "mature" woman who was laid off last year from a long-time job that I had hoped to retire from. My childhood dream was to act, and though I have been able to do that for several years on a volunteer basis in local theatres and at my church where I am a member of the drama team, I would now like to make a living at it as well as be able to publish the 20+ plays that I have written and which have been performed at my church and other churches. I had thought perhaps it was too late for me to pursue a professional film career, but after witnessing what our Father God has so wonderfully done for you, I am greatly encouraged!!!! There is a scripture that says, "Without hope...without a vision...without a dream.....my people perish" and another that says, "Hope deferred makes the heart sick". Thank you for having the courage to pursue your dream. Because you took the risk, there will be thousands of others who will now have the courage to pursue their dreams. In the meantime, we anxiously await your first album! As to Piers and all those other handsome men who will now be paying you attention, just remember to diligently "guard" your heart as you wait expectantly for Father God to fulfill one more dream...a husband and children. He can do it!!! Sarah, in the bible, gave birth to Isaac at age 90! And as to the makeover issue, I have done everything I know to do, short of plastic surgery, to keep myself young and attractive looking....from whitening my teeth, to ash blonding and cutting short my graying hair, to having my thinning eyebrows permanently dyed as well as excercizing not only my body but my face as well. The results are that no one believes that I am as old as I am, thinking instead, they say, that I am at least twenty years younger, which is a good thing because my looking younger allows me to still be able to do younger roles on stage....so, if you are in agreement with having your hair styled and colored, your eyebrows thinned and shaped and your teeth whitened...then I say "Go for it". At least now you'll be able to afford it!!!!! God is good!!!!!!!! Just don't ever lose that wonderful smile and great sense of humor...and keep wearing those lovely frocks and pearls!

I have watched that video on youtube more than 50 times. I watch it b/4 I go to work, I watch it when I get home. Why?....I think Susan represents all of our unanswered dreams of our life. And to WATCH the very second that a persons dreams come true, the second that their life changes, is incrediable. Her choice of songs could not have been more right on. I so look forward to her next appearence. PS. I just love those two guy backstage. We here in the US are stuck with that stupid Ryan Searcrast (or whatever his name is), and they have two really likeable guys. That video is so uplifting. I have never in my life wished more success for anyone than I do for Susan. I am not a musical, opera, fan, but I will buy her CD, she is beautiful inside and out. Good for her.

Susan WILL be famous, she will be rich. We all know what that kind of life has attached to it. NO ONE better ever hurt that sweet kind woman, or they will have her entire fan base down on them. I just want her to be able to do what she loves and has a talent for and not have to suffer any of the media pain. I don't think any other person would have more of a fan base that wanted to protect her from pain then she has. Susan, the only thing that would have made it better is if the audience had kept SILENT until you had finished and then rerupted in applause and cheers. It was awesome though and I have watched the clip several times here in America. WELL DONE.

I am without the shadow of a doubt CONVINCED that Susan is an angel. NOT KIDDING...I am SURE of it. GOD knew what we in this world during these times need...and that is someone that can take us into a different world for a few moments and Susan can and Susan does. I wonder if Susan knows how much she is blessing us but with her beautiful modesty and humbleness she is probably wondering what all the fuss is about. I love Susan. Her smile is so beautiful, so pure, so refreshing, she is a person that I would love walking up to and hugging. Susan, PLEASE, PLEASE, PLEASE come to the United States and consider Phoenix. In my line of work it's tough getting a day off but I would fight for that day just to hear you sing and to see you smile. Susan, whatever you do, PLEASE DO NOT change. Please do not let some shallow people talk you into any kind of physical change because WE LOVE YOU EXACTLY THE WAY THAT YOU ARE. You are an angel through and through and I thank GOD for you as a gift to us. GOD BLESS YOU DARLING, you've lightened up many lives with your voice. NOW GO GET 'EM HON. We are behind you all the way................and PLEASE have a CD out soon.

Susan...Hello from Canada where I've talked about you on air during my radio show here in Toronto. Lovely, lovely voice and I just want to say, that you've shown the world that success can come at any time if you just keeping dreaming. I think it's fair to say that the world thinks you're one of the sweetest people around. Your demeanour on the show and subsequent interviews have been full of grace and humility. One small caution...always be yourself and stay true to yourself. Now that 'fame' may have come, be careful of those who may want to change you or exploit you for their gain only. I worry about this already! :)

Meantime, take care of your voice and treat it with respect. Your "instrument" has now been recognised finally, so be sure you take care of it.

I'm so happy for you and your family, and it's remarkable that a one - off performance from an 'unknown' has proven to the pop stars around the world that you don't always need a nip and tuck here, a new hairstyle, the latest fashions and a famous person on your arm to be noticed and respected.

All the best to you Susan! Hope you read this and pleeeease stay grounded. You are the business. Well done.

I have never before commented on, voted for or in any way interacted with "stars" or talent. It is not very likely I ever will again. Susan Boyle has mass star appeal because we each would like to think we have a unique or special quality that makes us individually exceptional. Of course, I don't worry about hearing Miss Boyle again - Many ANGELS in Heaven sing equally as well.

I have no words to tell you just what it meant to me to hear you sing it. I lost my lovely daughter in February and my heart is broken, but your beautiful voice, your sweetness reminds me that life is still good and worth living. I pray that you receive only good things from this recognition. God bless you, Susan for your gift of song.

Susan! You are an inspiration to all normal folk! We've been fed a diet of Hollywood-style superficial "beauty" far too long - I think it's not just your amazing voice that has excited us all, but also the beauty of your smile and sincerity in your eyes that has moved so many people to want to talk about you. Your performance moved me to tears and made me want to jump for joy! PLEASE don't let the Simon Cowells of this world persuade you to undergo any makeovers. You are beautiful as you are ( the only thing I would suggest, if I may, is a visit to the hairdresser's). Please sing some more for us, and may God protect you from the media circus. My family and I will follow your achievements and enjoy your success with you from afar! Warmest wishes from Patrick Beacom in Sliema, Malta.

MacDuff Red here. Anybody remember that great movie REVENGE OF THE NERDS? When I first saw Susan sing, I remembered the closing minutes of the NERDS film. One of the characters makes a little speech, telling the crowd, "I am a nerd, and you know what...I'm proud of it. Anybody out there been called a twit? A geek? A frump? If you've been laughed at, rejected, put down? Hey, I got a message for all those beauty queens and handsome guys of the world. There's a lot more of US than there are of YOU!!" And when I heard Susan sing, as far as I was concerned, there IS no contest. Nerds rule!! Go Susan go!

Hi Susan, You keep popping up all over the place and cannot believe you keep sounding the same with no musical backup? You got it Susan... Cannot wait to see what you do on the future shows with backup? Your song from 10 years ago shows what you had back then and now I hear a more cultured, refined voice.

Best of luck, which I don't think you need, God has given you and your mother your reward!

As a Scottish-American, I am very proud of Susan and her extraordinary achievements. I think she may go on to be one of the most famus Scots of all time. She truly is a modern "Flower of Scotland."

The fact that this woman can, on a whim, sing with such clarity and perfect pitch without an instrumental backing says a lot for what this woman can already do and what she is capable of. Her talent is only going to grow from here, and I cannot wait to watch it grow and buy her albums.
Posted by bohica on April 18, 2009
Susan Boyle represents so much more than just a talent. She is the courage of so many with undeniable talent who have gone unrecognized because many others are not those of extraordinary physical beauty. "We" have singers today who are only famous because they happen to have unusual physical beauty, are young, and have been packaged into what we believe is unattainable for the average and ordinary. Ms. Boyle has true talent but alas was not in the right package. She epitomizes what so many of us could do/could have been if society wasn't so prejudiced. Many true, unbelievable talents will never be discovered for this very reason and what a shame. So much joy in the world is lost because of our own cultural restrictions. For this woman to step up and step out of the confines of society, bravo. I wish I had the nerve. So, thank you, Susan. And the very best of luck to you.

Wow, what a voice. I have never joined a fan club since the 60's - that was The Beatles... Showing my age. I was close to tears when I heard Susan sing. A friend of my husbands forward it to us. We now live in Ontario, Canada having moved from Middlesbrough, England in 1982. We don't get Britain's got Talent (yet) so I was blown away (gobstruck) when I heard Susan sing. I e.mailed the clip to my daughters (one is a singer) and my friends here in Canada who I knew wouldn't get to hear Susan sing yet. They are surely going to be hearing a lot of her now. Hope she comes to Toront to do a concert soon. That's the closest big city to where I live in a little place called Port Dover, on the shores of Lake Erie. I am so proud to be British when we have talen like Susan to share with the world. Hown on earth has she been overlooked over the years. I suppose it's small towns. We have lots of hidden 'gems' here too. Good luck Susan, glad your dream is coming true. You DID pick the perfect song for BGT. Thank you and the very best of luck.

Dear Susan, Please forgive me but I felt so compelled to write you. When I saw your video on youtube I could not stop sobbing. Your beautiful God-given voice and swett persona so touched my heart. That was me up there. I was living my dream through you. I am 51 yrs of age, single- never married (never been kissed)and have lived with my mom my whole life until just last year upon getting my own place. I have felt so many times that life and my dream have passed me by. Like you I too have loved to sing since I was a child and about 5 years ago decided to re-persue vocal lessons after 25 yrs. My teacher is excellent and amazing and has strongly encouraged me and complimented my voice but as the story so often goes I don't have the "whole package" as they say. So it was such a joy to watch you thumb your nose at convention and WOW them all. God's blessings to you Susan. I so look forward to hearing more of your angelic voice. Also my deepest sympathies on you mom's passing. Karen-USA

Suan has been an interesting gage for how the world is processing what it is being constantly bombarded with. I have noticed pop stars like Madonna and Beyonce and others seem to be working so much robotic costumes and looks into their acts, and we are tired of it. Tired of plastic teeth and plastic breasts and the pressure to be robotically perfect. I read an article from a London paper where a stage singer was upset that Susan was getting so much attention. He said many west end singers could do what she did. He said she was not good enough to be in a London stage show. They thought she should change her image and do a little tap dancing with her performances. I stopped going to musical shows because every singer I heard could hit the notes, but they all sounded the same. All the soul had been trained out of them. I found them boring and quit spending my money there. After listening to Susan sing 'Cry me a river' I knew I would buy her c.d when it came out, I could hear the truth, it was not just that one song in that one moment. This woman sings her soul, and in doing so, helps me find mine.

I came home from work one evening after a long day. My husband greeted me and said he had something for me to see that would make my day. He brought me to the computer, sat me down, handed me a box of tissue and told me to relax and enjoy. He pressed the "play" arrow and left the room. Susan, you gave me chills, made me cry, and I don't think my husband saw me again for at least an hour. I played your video over and over. You have the voice of an angel. I wish for you continued success. I'll be in that long line at the music store when your first CD comes out!! All the best from Massachusetts,USA

Susan you have taken the world by storm and rightfully so. Your voice is heavenly with out a doubt but you know what really put you over the top. You represent every person that feels they are average and would love to be recognized for being who they are. You are clearly a very sweet and intelligent lady and that is what everyone loves. Your tremendous talent got you recognition but you are what everyone has fallen in love with. In a world that only seems to reward the rich, the beautiful, the well connected you have proved that by just being yourself is all it really takes. The world clearly loves you Susan and we so look forward to seeing, and hearing, a lot more of you. My very best to you.

It was evident that you touched something in the depth of his being and I admire him all the more for inviting you to dinner in London. So have a wonderful time and come to the USA ASAP to be seen by your adoring fans here. With love and prayers for your gentle heart and soul. P.S. Dear Susan: If I could sing one song that completely expresses my feelings about you, it would be Rogers' and Hart's "My Funny Valentine", And for those of you that don't know it, the relevant lyrics are:

Youre my funny valentine, Sweet comic valentine, You make me smile with my heart. Your looks are laughable, un-photographable, Yet, youre my favorite work of art. Is your figure less than greek? Is your mouth a little weak? When you open it to speak, are you smart? But, dont change a hair for me. Not if you care for me. Stay little valentine, stay! Each day is valentines day.

And for the answer as to whether or not you are smart when you open your mouth, I'd say, "you're brilliant".

I bought a pin from ebay.com item number 11037889739 that I wear everyday as a tribute to you as a wonderful role model and your fabulous voice. I also have had people judge me at first for my less than beautiful looks and oldfashioned looking clothes which a similar body shape to yourself and then after meeting me have done a complete turnabout and loved knowing me. I am so glad that you have become a spokesperson for us all.

Dear Susan My name is Stuart OrchardI represent a review company that is based in New Zealand. We mainly review performances similar to yours and I thought that you should know that by our ranking you scored amazingly highly in your first performance on Britains got talent. You clearly hold a depth and clarity in your voice that is very hard to find. One suggestion is stay away from low notes as they may go beyond your natural singing ability and will sound unnatural. Other than that lee doing just what your doing and you'll continue to be great

Physical looks are a first attraction. Hearing the beauty of the person's soul and the sound of their voice can and does change the attraction from loving looks to a love from the heart! Are you ready to take on the role of a poorly dressed and generally unattractive woman. ( I'm a very ugly guy and I just live with it! ) ( Your poise and presentation on camera would have convinced me to propose!) My hope for you is a break from a tough life. You are to great a person to suffer. I think your heart is bigger than your voice!

Proof indeed that the singing of Susan Boyle and James Bond would be a match made in heaven! I hope the producers of James Bond take note and act accordingly!

It is indeed that you have the voice of angel, Susan. Please record a CD soon and have it sent to America. You will be the first female British singer to sweep up the hearts of the Americans since the Fab Four, the Beetles, in the sixties. You are indeed a sweet heart. Have your first concert in Boston, Mass and I will be there. Betty NH USA

I hope Susan becomes an HUGE success asa singer! Her voice is perfection! And without any of the artifice that so many of todays 'singers' need with digital enhancement of their voices in the studio and 'lip syncing / audio assistance' in their live shows. Imagine that? A powerful and incredible singer who doesn't need all the phoney help to be an incredible singer.

I hope that she has real, true friend to help her not be taken advantage of as she begins her path towards fame. But most of all, I hope that she does find the one love that will cherish her and share all the years of their lives, together. Her goodness of spirit, her kindness of heart, her beauty of simply being herself, truly makes her a woman to be loved and admired.

Keep singing Susan! You make the world a brighter place by filling it with the beauty of your voice and spirit.

I'll be buying all the CD's you make and eagerly waiting for you to tour in hopes you come to Florida USA.

Susan, you are so courageous to take the chance to share your talent with the world, when so many shallow people think beauty is external only. I have lived my life afraid to make the best use of my abilities because I am not attractive. You have made a magnificent statement that real beauty comes from inside. Brava! May you spread your special light throughout the world for many years to come. You are a true inspiration to me.

Susan i already wrote once, but must again. I usually don't follow anyone famous, but you do TRULY have the voice of an angel. I favor the songs from the broadway hits etc, vs/cry me a river. Your voice is too beautiful not to use it to its fullest! Susan, don't change for anyone, you are beautiful for who you are and I wish people like Larry King would quit commenting about your looks, he's no fashion model for sure. STAY AS YOU ARE. I hope you take pierce up on his dinner date and I applause HIM for his heartfelt apology to you, good for you pierce! Heidi, USA

people! listen, to what we are saying, and feeling, it,s one thing to sing a song with passion, and people applaud! normal reaction right?............! but something else is going on here? this is a stronger than normal reaction to an event, something that is so compelling that people are revealing the very essence of their soul, outwardly, as if they are confessing their short comings, like their at a mass, gathering of thee collective souls. and all of this is happening by the millions, what is this may i ask? am i thee only one seeing this event unfold? and!, and why now? Things are not coincidence! maybe i,m a romantic and see things in the realms of spirituality, continuity of thee collective conciousness, and angels working in mysterious ways? But we all feel something, i,m just trying to make sense out of what i,m thinking, and sharing it with the rest of you reading interesting blogs.

I'm VERY SUSPICIOUS about Susan Boyle's comments about "never been kissed", "never had a boyfriend", living by herself, with a cat.... I think she wanted to get sympathy by making those statements, LOL, I'd LMAO if all Susan Boyle's act had been STAGED ! The truth will come out soon. By the way, Simon Cowell and Susan could become couple, LOL, are they not same age ? I read that the other male judge is dying to give her "a first kiss" on her virginal lips, HA HA HA HA !

Susan, Wow, unbelievable!!! Your voice truley is a gift from God, I am so happy for you that you have finally been discovered! With as talented as you are Susan, I am surprised it took so long for someone in the music industry to find you. You and your story, or at least what I know of it, are so refreshing. You have a GREAT sense of humor besides an angelic voice. I heard just briefly that you were or are the caretaker for your elderly Mother. I am 50 years old Susan and I took care of my elderly, handicapped Parents for almost 9 years. My hat goes off to as well for what you did for your Mother Honey. It takes a special person to do the caretaking and it also takes a lot out of you, I have had some major health issues since my caretaking day's. Anyways my Dear, be careful and cautious as you begin this journey, but at the same time have some fun!! I will be looking forward to hearing more of your song's and your story as well. I too well up every time I see your first video. Thank-You for being so real Susan!! "God Bless", jojo1158 Minneapolis, MN- USA.

Susan you have a gorgeous voice -I love you; we love you. Never mind if the media says unkind things about how you look, you are beautiful inside and out - you have very pretty features and a great smile and warm eyes! What the media is really saying is that you are not "glamerous", and they are not used to that - they see people with so much makeup on that no one knows what is really beneath it, and most times, stars have much worse features than any of us out in the normal world have - many stars also have black hearts and unkind personalities as well. Glamour is easy to come by, anyone can buy it - a makeover, clothing, high heels, jewelry...but your wonderful voice and your genuine true heart? That can not be purchased. I can tell you have a transcendent soul that is near to God. You have pretty features and you are very pretty; you are also a true genuine heart, a real friend and a kind person, it just gleams off of you, and no glamour in the world could make you that way, this has to come from the inside of your soul and that just radiates off of you, especially when you sing. Not many stars have this special spirit surrounding them like you have. What they need make-up for you already have! Wow. I love to listen to you!

Susan, there are no words. Sublime, transcendental, soul-shattering---I can't find the right word because it simply doesn't EXIST. We need to invent a word to describe the way your singing makes us feel. It isn't just because your voice is so beautiful; I think it's because you put your soul into it; your soul is singing to our souls--and our souls, while we cannot sing back, thrill to the touch of your spirit. I emailed your BGT video to everyone I know, as soon as I had listened to it a half-dozen times (I couldn't tear myself away any sooner!) If I were a man, I'd have fallen in love with you instantly, and would be worshipping at your feet right now. As it is, I still love you, but not just for your voice; I love you for acknowledging Pebbles before the world as a fellow creature, for not letting the 'hype' of the show change the person you are, for having the guts to get up there in front of millions of people and say, in effect, "Here I am---do you life me,warts and all?" Not an inconsiderable thing to do. But you are obviously one of the bravest people there is, and the dream was strong in you---and you have given many of us the courage to dream again. That's powerful stuff, Susan---I think God knew what He was doing, when he gave you that voice; I think He knew you deserved it, and would know how to use it for tremendous GOOD. You have given a whole world a gift---how does that feel? I hope it feels 'bl---y fantastic!' I haven't bought a CD in years, but I'm going to buy any and all that you make; I don't dare to hope you will ever come here, but if you make it to Charleston, SC, USA, I'll certainly be in the audience!

Susan - You have given the world a common point of light! I have always wanted to sing but have not been blessed with ANY talent. There have been very few voices that move me to tears and now I have two - yours and my very talented niece. When I heard you sing I felt your passion welling up inside me. You are such a beautiful person - it's not only in your voice - your beauty is in your eyes and your smile. Thank you so much for giving us all joy.

On some blog I read someone complaining how BGT packaged the show - that they reused a standing O by the judges to make it look like it was done twice. I checked the video, there are differences between each time. But you know, what would it change any way? Her singing is still her singing, and she honestly has a great voice. Better than most professional singers. If you have gotten so cynical (or shallow) that you are nitpicking about details that has nothing to do with Ms. Boyles ability to sing - well, you need to take some fiber, and after coming out of the restroom, take a deep breath and just listen to the talent. Close your eyes if you have to - and just listen to a talent that can move your heart and stir your soul (if you dare). Of course, not all music appeals to all people. For instance, if you hate country western, then do not judge it. Trust the opinions of country western fans. (Though you know, I think Ms. Boyle could sing in most musical genres!). And one day, I'd love for her to do a duet with Sarah Brightman. That would be the highest level of heaven for me. I wish BBC America would broadcast BGT!

Why is there this stuff about "Never judge a book by its cover" and other rubbish? Why even bring it up? It's an insult. It's time we all started believing the old cliché adage that its what's inside that counts. We've all said it before, but who really lives by it? We've been programmed that looks are so important. They are not, never have been, never will be, unless you want to be a star. Such crap. And even if Susan wasn't the earth-shakingly wondrous singer that she is, she would still be beautiful, like we all are. Don't you look at the people on the show who are rejected and feel the same love for them as you do for a great singer? You should, and if you don't, you should have your head examined. Or better, your heart.

My vote: "Crazy" by Patsy Cline. Nice range of notes to show off Susan's voice, and I'm sure she can sing it with emotion!

Hey VINIFERA, that is great idea, I would like to see her sing a Billy Holiday song, not sure which one, but she could blow the blues away. SO, where IS this special place?

I'm still blown away by Mr. Potts amazing perfomace for the queen. Susan will really have to do big to upstage him. Go to youtube and watch Paul Potts performance for the queen, it is as amazing as Susan's.

Susan, Your performance brought tears to the eyes of my entire family of performers! My husband asked me to stop playing it because he keeps tearing up and this is a man that I've only seen cry twice! We are all so inspired by you and want to thank you for touching us in such a special way. Your voice is truly inspired from above and we can't wait to own a copy of your CD(s!).

Keep breathing all of this in, don't miss a minute. You have the ENTIRE WORLD behind you! What an amazing thing!!!! I think we all needed something to lift our spirits and your voice has certainly done that.

You said that you wanted to be more famous than Elaine Paige and guess what.......YOU ARE!!! I had no idea who she was and had to google her!

You are living proof that we can all achieve our dreams!

WE LOVE YOU!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Susan, I have watched your video countless times already and I still get choke up the moment you open your mouth and sing. The very first time I watched it, my jaw dropped, my heart skipped a beat, and I had to remind myself to breath. You are a phenomenon! I’m sure you have a huge and growing list of songs that people would love to hear you sing, but here are just a few that I would just like to suggest: 1 Don’t cry for me Argentina 2 Summertime (Porgy and Bess) 3 The Impossible Dream (Man of La Manche) 4 Somewhere over the Rainbow (Wizard of OZ)

Like a million or more other people, I can hardly wait for your first CD, and then your next, and then your next… Susan, I am truly your fan for life.

A letter I sent to the Houston Chronicle:

Houston Chronicle Houston, Texas

April 16, 2009

On April 15, 2009 my attitude was changed. While unrest, economic insecurity, disease, famine, liars, thieves, pirates and murderers fill the airwaves and print media, God sent us an angel to give us hope. I speak of Susan Boyle the Britain’s Got Talent sensation. In those words from Les Miserable’s “I Dreamed a Dream” God has selected the most humble, sweet and caring person alive on the planet earth to give us a real message of hope. Her tale of being an outcast in childhood and constantly being overlooked because she isn’t our idea of the perfect female serve us as a reminder of our own shortcomings. God has rewarded this woman with the love and admiration of millions. I counted over 25 Million hits on the different You Tube clips. 25 Million!! If one were to ask me whom I most admire and wish to meet in this world, hands down it would be Susan Boyle. We should all hope and strive to be as humble, caring and determined as this beautiful soul. I thank you God for using the voice of one of your future angels to teach us the lessons we can learn to turn the tide of our pessimistic, cynical and judgmental ways. God Bless Susan Boyle

Hello, Susan, I returned home from church a little while ago, and have been reflecting on the events of the week. God is so good to us...to think that on Easter weekend, He taught us two very important lessons based in His truth and grace. The first is not to judge your neighbor; the second that no matter where you are in your life, He can use each and every one to touch the world. To top it off He sent the lesson on the wings of a beautiful butterfly, who is just unfolding her wings. Susan, spread those wings and fly!

Susan, the book of psalm 139 chapter 14th verse says it all, "you are fearfully and wonderfully made." You are truly a gift from our Heavenly Father above. Your voice brought me to my knees with tears still rushing down my face, as you are a gift to the world. Please do not let media or anyone change you from what the Lord gave your parents as a gift. I am sure if we had a chance to meet your family we would see that gift through them all. You sacraficied your wants and desires to care for your mother, which most people today would not do. How much more blessed can we as the world be but to have you as a heavenly angel among us blessing us with song. As the book of Romans 12:1-2 tells us to be a part of the world but not conformed to the world. What does that mean, be who God made you to be, not what man may try to change you into. Worry not about not having a first kiss or any other relations with the opposite sex; God has a plan for your expected future and whatever that is, rejoice in it and be glad. I will continue to keep you in my constant prayers as this is your time. Do not give up being you, we are short of that in the world. Jeramiah 29:11 Angela USA

Susan, I just realized you dont get it. What is happening is bigger than the show. You are bigger than Brittains Got Talent, you dont need the show. I think its fine that you continue with the competition but you can rest assured that you can go on to be a professional singer without winning the show. Ive never seen a single episode of Britains Got Talent, nor have the hundreds of people from all around the world who are leaving comments on this site, but they have watched you. I know from your perspective its hard to see whats going on, so consider that you have become an icon of hope, a symbol of the realization of ones dreams, and an inspiration to millions of people. I hope you can realize this soon, and realize the implications of the mantle, or responsibility this will bring you.

Who can't be moved by this Scottish songstress. Her voice spoke more than song, it spoke right to soul like never before. Susan is true and real. She absolutely loves to sing and showed the world her gift and talent. She, like the rest of the world never expected this kind of fame and outpouring of love. We as humanity actually needed a Susan Boyle to lift our spirits. Her courage and talent melded into a beautiful, spendid, once in a life time experience where all watchers and listeners got to experience a soul cleansing presentaion that will live on for ever. Thank you Susan, BGT, and the great spirit that evoked, beckoned, blessed, and mesmerized the world.

Every rare once in a while, God drops a little miracle on us. It makes us cry and cheer. Susan Boyle makes us cry and cheer. Every time we watch her sing, the original emotions cascade into new trembling sobs and flowing tears. At first, I had to close my eyes to believe this beautiful voice could emanante from Susan. When I opened my eyes again, I realized it came from her soul and not from her appearance. Susan, you have opened our eyes to beauty beyond comprehension. You have humbled us. You have given us hope. You have given us reason to cheer again. You have given us reason to believe your dreams are our dreams.........May God lift you up as the special Angel you are.....

I have watched and listened to it every night since Friday and each time have cried. After watching it for the first time Friday at the end of my work day, at the conclusion I said, "That's what dreams are made of." I am so glad you have the courage and confidence to pursue your dream. God will surely bless you for the life you have lived, including taking care of your mother, and now you are seeing that come to fruition. I couldn't be more happy for you. Please stay just as you are, though, which is what makes you so endearing. I'll be praying for a future filled with bountiful blessings for you!

Susan,

Here I sit, in front of my computer in the middle of the night, again, trying to figure this out.

If I may borrow that delightful expression, I am gobsmacked. (did I spell it right?)

God has done something amazing. Love from the heartland, USA.

Dear Susan, My Heart Will Go On is one of my most favorites. Singing will no musical background and from the heart, it was just lovely. Hope you enjoy your dinner with Piers, looking at his face and into his eyes as you sung...I couldn't help but think "he seems quite taken by this sweet, plucky, gifted young woman". Yes, young, it's all comparative. I'm ten older than you, and still feel wonderful. Just sooo happy for you, may God be with you and your heart encased in His go on and on! Please share Him with the World in your songs and precious presence.

All that I can think of is AMAZING! I was fortunate enough for my children to buy my wife and I tickets to see Les Mis a few years ago after seeing the performance on Public TV channel. I immediately went out and bought the CD. Which I listen to every day. The song you choose to sing for the world was one of my favorite. A few days ago a small snippet of your performance was on Good Morning America. I was in the shower, and just walkied out when I heard this beautiful voice on TV. I was fortunate enough to catch your name, and wrote it down. I then went to the computer and found your performance on You Tube. I was absoluetly taken back by what I saw and heard. I had tears rolling down my face. Susan... you blew the world away with your performance. God sent you to us. I saw this morning on TV another performance by a young boy, and they said he may rival you. Who are they kidding? He sang well for a young boy, but there is no comparison to you at all. You are in a leauge of your own. The WORLD loves you just as you are. Please don't let anyone change you or your appearance. I get tears just reading the comments from around the world. The WORLD loves you and we are all looking forward to your first commercial CD to come out. It think that you and Paul Potts should sing together. How cool would that be? May the blessings of the world come your way everyday.

Susan....no two ways about it...you a are a VERY special gift from a Higher Power. WHY have so many thousands of people been touched in the same powerful way by your incredible voice? It's truly phenomenal. As for your astounding version of "Cry Me A River"...well, how this failed to catch the attention of that West Lothian CD producer back in 1999 will rank alongside "Nessie" as one of the great Scottish mysteries. You have perfect pitch. You have potentially the kind of voice that only the likes of Streisand and Miss Ella have. Thank God for your fantastic talent Susan. I simply cannot wait until that FIRST (of many!) CD flies in and out of record stores throughout the world. Congratulations Susan!

Susan, You are one terrific person. I do not care what critics are saying about your appearance. I feel that people who are making remarks about your looks are jealous because you have something they have not got. Beauty comes from within and I think you are beautiful. You carry yourself well, speak like a lady and when you are beautiful inside, it shows on the outside. You are one remarkable lady and you have a magnificant voice. You do have a voice like an angle and I want to buy a CD of yours. You put feeling in your songs and that's what keeps your audiences attention. You are a wonderful person. You know, people can be beautiful on the outside and are rotten inside, which makes them ugly on the outside. Don't let anyone convince you that you are not a beautiful person. I am so glad you had the courage to enter the contest and that you were discovered. God Bless and Good Luck in all your endeavors. ConnieSue

Bravo, Susan. It is rare that the world is fixed in that moment of time when a person's life changes forever. Your life will never be the same, nor will all those whom you have touched. Grown men are weeping at the sound of your voice. Hope is springing up in the unlikeliest places. It won't all be sunshine and roses along the way, but I have a feeling that you are a strong, wise woman with a lovely sense of humor that will serve you well. Stay true to yourself and put all this makeover twaddle into perspective. People are so brainwashed by the media, they don't know what a normal person-next-door looks like anymore. You are lovely. I will definitely buy any cd you produce. Much love from Rochester, NY.

Työtön skottinainen lumosi Simon Cowellin kykyohjelmassa

Susan Boylen voittoisa tyylinäyte Britannian Talent showssa.

Susan Boylen voittoisa tyylinäyte Britannian Talent showssa.

Britain's Got Talent -tositv-ohjelmassa koettiin lauantaina melkoinen yllätys, kun kameroiden eteen marssi Susan Boyle, 47-vuotias kirkon avustustyöntekijä Blackburnista.

Paksua skottimurretta puhuva, vähän reppanan näköinen Boyle sanoi harrastaneensa laulua pienestä asti ja esittävänsä Les Miserables -musikaalista tutun kappaleen I Dreamed a Dream.

I love the Larry King segment . It’ was so sweet that the idol judge Pierce invited Susan to come have dinner with him. It made me think about a certain scripture in the Bible….Let brotherly love continue. Be not forgetful to entertain strangers: for thereby some have entertained angels unawares. April 21, 2009 Elaine Page to sing duet with Susan Boyle Susan Boyle to sing duet with Elaine Page a fairytale ending. --- It's not often that overnight a performer captures the hearts of not just the nation but the entire globe. But that's exactly what conservatively dressed, middle-aged Susan Boyle has done. Less than two weeks after her Britain's Got Talent audition was uploaded to YouTube, it has been viewed over a 100 million times - which makes the 18 million hits received by President Barack Obama's acceptance speech pall to insignificance in comparison. At her audition the 47-year-old church volunteer had pointed to West End star Elaine Paige as her idol. It was a tribute which did not go unnoticed. Speaking on her BBC radio show Elaine described the singer as "a role model for everyone who had a dream".

"Ever since Susan's appearance on Britain's Got Talent my in-box has been flooded with e-mails," the 61-year-old mezzo-soprano told her Sunday afternoon listeners. "Perhaps we should record a duet?"

"I will continue to watch and I hope you make it to the final," Elaine added to Susan.

She literally doesn't NEED any musical accompaniment to be right on key when singing!!!
